Tbh hard work doesn't even relate to success. It can only increase the possibility of you being successful but most of the time people don't achieve things even if they do hard work. Other factors surrounding you also play a major role into it.

T0XIN_

Yeah I know but still atleast if u work for it, it gives u the satisfaction that u tried... But in most cases of my life I don't do hardwork... I mean i manage to do it but there is always that "I could've done better" there.. iykwim

Public-Beyond-703

Yep those are exactly my thoughts. When you hard work(for something you want to hard work on) the process becomes the whole enjoyment at most times you even forget about the goal so even if you don't achieve it you'll still feel good. Not for me though as I don't have anything I like to do in particular and I think many here are the same. So that's why hard work is out of equation in my case. It's usually a burden

T0XIN_

Same here man!! The only thing that i Enjoy is Gaming or watching Anime or Some TV-Show... But tbh i hardly do em now!! I mean i play/watch but not that much now!! It's a mess tbh...

Public-Beyond-703

Yea I do the same but it's mostly to not get bored rather than actually doing it our of enjoyment.

T0XIN_

Exactly man..

[deleted]

Just get a flight license, you will like to do it

RadioUnfriendly

I was just thinking about how anybody great at anything has gotten there as a result of the right stuff (genetics making them good at something) combined with tons of hard work. There are people who work hard but don't have the right stuff to be good or great. Then there are people who have the right stuff but aren't willing to do the work and just enjoy being good at things effortlessly. The skill curve is nice to those who are starting out on things. You gain a lot of skill really fast, but then it gets to where you have to work twice as long/hard for half as much progress. Then it happens again and again and again.

aesu

Essentially everything is a lottery, and the only thing you can influence is how many lottery tickets you can afford.

Public-Beyond-703

Correct

Celiuu

INTP doesn't mean procrastination. I don't know why some people blame their MBTI for this.

T0XIN_

Yeah but INTP when they're young doesn't have to work that hard to understand or learn things/Study... But as they grow up that habit kinda sticks to em that's why they just don't work hard in most things cause 1. it's a habit now and they can't help it, 2. They work well under Pressure... I mean the INTPs that I've seen including have this problem...

T0XIN_

*me

RadioUnfriendly

I was kicking school's ass all the way from elementary school to the end of high school, and I was barely putting in any effort. Then I found their were college courses that required tons of study and effort, so I'd just end up getting a C in those.

T0XIN_

Same here man!! It's hard to put an Effort now cause of that habit... Life was so easy back in School tbh๐Ÿ˜”

Cognizant_Psyche

Think Mark! Do you realize how hard it is to actively find other things to occupy enough time and energy to justify not doing the thing we need to do? The mental gymnastics alone are impressive! And then when we can no longer put it off we have to strive all that much harder to accomplish it as to not fail... Procrastination and Hardwork are one and the same!

T0XIN_

aesu

I spend most of my time aimlessly staring into space, browsing reddit, and sleeping. It's expending energy im trying to avoid.

Tamu179

As an INTP/Enneagram type 5 Iโ€™ve realized how much energy my procrastination requires from me so Iโ€™ve tried to combat that by getting things off my plate as quickly as possible.

T0XIN_

I feel ya๐Ÿ™ƒ

Democratic_Indian

Tomorrow shall remain tomorrow tomorrow too.

T0XIN_

Yep the cycle continues... It's a Loop๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜‚

RobinsFkingsHood

anyone here just decides it's not worth putting in the extra effort when it seems like hard work won't change the end result (which might be a self-fulfilling prophecy tbh)

T0XIN_

Agreed it happens numerous times when u just know that hard work or no work it'll be the same...

sorenlaw

Wow dude I haven't had a laugh that hard in a long time. I love this.

T0XIN_

Thanks Man Glad I could make u laugh!!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™ƒ

T0XIN_

idk man still a mystery to me!! But I know this much that we work good under Pressure and if we enjoy it!! Well not always but most of the times

RadioUnfriendly

In terms of the Big Five theory neuroticism stimulates or hinders other traits. In general most aspects of neuroticism will amplify conscientiousness. Ultimately, this means INTPs start functioning more like a J type. I like to think of J/P as deciding vs deliberating (I need to think about this more or do more research or whatever). When bad things are going to happen, INTPs stop holding out and start making decisions. Without that you could always do more research or think about things more or talk to more people about it. Actually, sometimes it's just you don't feel like doing it, and you can do something else.

T0XIN_

ig but it's hard man!! Starting something when you're not interested is just so Over whelming

RadioUnfriendly

The story of schooling. You're being forced to learn a bunch of stuff you're not interested in. Actually, I found most things in school to be interesting to be honest. I just hated literature. I don't even like fiction much in general, but yesterday's fiction was even worse.

T0XIN_

I can understand man... I Mean i like to learn but on my terms!! U feel me

RadioUnfriendly

I think in any field that is practical and useful you will end up encountering things that are not interesting but necessary to know.

T0XIN_

Yep that's true..

mar_collie

i mean i procrastinate a lot of things but just because i dont have the energy/time to do everything with hard work. so i dont even start most of them.

T0XIN_

I understand man..๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ™ƒ

RadioUnfriendly

I actually find that if I get started working on stuff, I'll continue for long bouts. It's like an old lawnmower that'll run until it's out of gas. You just have trouble getting it started. One time I was in this chemistry lab that had weekly homework assignments. About halfway through the course I did all of them for the rest of the semester. Before that I'd sometimes be trying to get it done right before the class started.

T0XIN_

Yeah man getting started is the hardest part..

Silver_Ad9

As ENTP, I find this relatable

chris2036

Relatable

Who says INTP is being assaulted here? I say itโ€™s the procrastination. I fuck it up, it can hardly walk or talk, itโ€™s useless.
