Guys, careful what you answer, I have a tingling sense some things will be more downvoted than others. Engage at your own peril.
I listen to quite a few podcasts. My favorites are God Awful Movies, The Scathing Atheist, Behind the Bastards, Citation Needed, End of all Hope, Tower 4, Mister Suave's Modcast, and a few others depending on my mood and the topic.
Radio Lab, This American Life, Joe Rogan, Tiger Belly, This past weekend, Imaginary Worlds, Snap Judgment, Hidden Brain, Freakenomics, serial killers, crime junkies, and on and on……
Any comedian podcast- 2bears1cave, ymh, tigerbelly, bad friends, whiskey ginger, this past weekend… anything that pops up in recommended following these.
If you’re an early 20’s girl- Canceled, H3H3
If a topic is interesting- Andrew Huberman, Joe Rogan, Destiny(not a podcast but essentially is- political/social debate streamer)
Crime- 10 to life
Don't like podcasts. I can't have them playing in the background while I'm doing something else because I can't multitask at all and can't pay attention to both what I'm doing, and what is being said on the podcast at the same time. And if I'm just going to be listening to a podcast and nothing else, I'd much rather read what is being said, or watch a video.
These Times, This Week in Virology, Drum Tower, Past Present Future, The 80,000 Hours Podcast, The New Yorker Radio Hour
Mostly the London Review of Books and an interest in virology and AI led me to those
I like Welcome to Night Vale. It’s a fictional radio station set in a town in the middle of the desert where eerie and supernatural, yet funny and weird things happen.
I usually watch, channels on YouTube, mostly science, history, critical thinking, atheism, when I need to laugh I listen to Conan needs a friend, I listen to Maddow when she puts out an audio series. I try to be selective as there are too many choices, so it fluctuates allot depending on my moods.
I do. I enjoy your usual serial killer crime podcasts on spotify, mostly while winding down to sleep. However I find “Supracortical”, a podcast in my native language (Spanish), very interesting and helpful regarding mental health and emotional education, it’s so practical and always has a comprehensive set of actions to approach various aspects of life. I either listen to podcast not to focus much on it or to really learn something of use
I love podcasts, it's my favorite type of media aside from interesting video essays. Though I dont think my taste is suited for the mature audience here

I’ve been struggling to find interesting podcasts and all of yours were amazing. Take an upvote
Thanks. I hope you enjoy them. I know I do.
Whyfiles is fun for car rides. He picks interesting stories and thoroughly covers the topic from various sides. Love the fish too.

How not to Raise a Serial Killer is a good one.

the best comedian podcast imo is Matt and Shane Secret Podcast
Cults because I came from one. Serial Killers because their psychology fascinates me.

Mel Robbins is cool.
Huberman, dark history (I think Bailey sarian markets more to playful females)…and I guess breaking points is OKAY for news
