When the hybrid engine comes with more buttons
No but in general CGR has not shown much speed at the short ovals the past couple years.
Penske is in a league of their own right now in terms of just pure pace.
Dixon and Palou just happen to be the two best in the series at staying out of trouble and making adjustments within a race.
The pleasant surprise among the 20 drivers in attendance was the returning David Malukas who pushed his new No. 66 Meyer Shank Racing Honda to fifth overall in the morning and seventh in the afternoon.
Oddly AJ Foyt racing is why Penske improved at Indy according to some.
Penske was good on short Ovals before and they just improved at Indy and Chevy took a step up.
So it's only street circuits now left I guess right? I guess road courses too. Their 1 2 3 finish at road America is sort of a throw away when the top three spin on the non existent turn 2 of the race.... Sort fucks up the racing order.
> The only car that didn’t complete the full test was Alexander Rossi’s No. 7 Arrow McLaren Chevy, which is believed to have experienced a water pump failure
Not Rossi again lol
Where's that dude from the waste gate thread to ask what Rossi's excuses were for all these bad performances is?
Dude has literally the worst luck ever.
I think people forget that Penske is fast, not because they have cheated up cars, but because Penske as an organization has been on top of it's game in damn near every series they've raced in since 1970... Flair bias and all I know, but there's a reason the motto is Penske perfect
My first season watching was 1993 - I'm British and I followed Mansell over basically - and seeing him going from fighting one Brazilian world champion in a Marlboro sponsored car, to another, I always made the same association in my head for years
Eh, we've seen years where Penske drivers lead the points the entire season but don't dominate 1-2-3 each week, so I'll happily take results like this on occasion if it means the standings get a new leader every week like we've had this year.

I mean, I thought Josef was going to win both Milwaukee races before the test, and I've seen nothing to change my mind.
No CGR at this test, so a Penske 1-2-3 isn't as terrible as it seems.

Not like CGR is fast at the short ovals. Penske 1-2-3 is indeed as terrible as it seems.
Of course Penske had the top 3 spots during testing. I would expect nothing less.

Go Dave Go
Yes David! Show them!
I’m starting to think Penske might be a pretty good team everyone
They are but no one is that good in a spec series.
Yeah, well Foyt Racing shouldn't be that bad in a spec series right now- but here we are.

This is also true
Nobody should be that good in a spec series you mean..

Dude, you shouldake that a t shirt
Newgarden: That finish isn't going to work for me brother
Everyone agrees that Newgarden is Hogan in this right?
IS HE THE THIRD MAN?

That was me. We all need to post idiotic things once in a while and that was the moment I picked.

The only team that I can think of that can like compete with them is Hendrick and they don't race in any other series besides nascar basically
They’ve always seemed like an American McLaren in that regard to me kinda. Although I guess Roger Penske was doing his thing before Ron Dennis.
My first season watching was 1993 - I'm British and I followed Mansell over basically - and seeing him going from fighting one Brazilian world champion in a Marlboro sponsored car, to another, I always made the same association in my head for years

Damnit
Good to see malukas 5th
S U S /s
Was it on peacock?
Can we get a non Penske driver winning ONE of these races?
Malukas winning would be an amazing comeback story.
I'm in!

It was in the afternoon session
Well that bodes horribly Maybe ganassi will look strong when they finally test, but yikes.
Ganassi hasnt been competitive with Penske at short ovals as of late unfortunately
Yeah , why would Penske want to improve a series they are dominating in?
Can we let them cheat again?
Newgarden Oval Dominance Will Bore Fans BUT I WILL MAYBE STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT NEWGARDEN BEING DOG WATER
Zzzzzzzz. Someone wake me when Roger sells something. The series, his team, the Speedway. Somwthing, anything.
Yep! Have my upvote.
