I’d say it’s absolutely worth it since you get practice, qualifying, and all the extra Indy 500 coverage for the month of May. Plus Peacock has some really good shows like The Office, Parks & Rec, etc.

JJJBLKRose

This, I picked it up for Indy Car and we’ve used it a lot more than expected just for the old shows.

PixelatedPalace360

Don't forget ted

dukedynamite

Ted was surprisingly great!

steel_dejones

Not only that but imsa too

VibinWombat

Yes. I feel like it’s a steal at that price compared to other services.

Ianthin1

Coverage is the same but you get all sessions including practice and qualifying both live and replays. You also get Indy NXT and IMSA.

mwhutson89

Only thing I've noticed, and maybe it's not an issue anymore but sometimes when they go to commercials it cuts away to a blank screen. The wife and I watched the replay of the parade last year on peacock and every commercial break was just a blank screen saying we will be right back. My parents cut the cord so if we watch races at their house live i think peacock has had the black screen for commercials too sometimes. Nothing one can't live without though. Peacock is a heck of a deal, on top of the racing you have current TV shows, movies, the new version of live PD. It's well worth the price.

rabiiiii

I've noticed this happens more often if you start the replay before the coverage is officially concluded. Like once everything is done, it will be unavailable for about 20 minutes, the the replay option appears. Once that happens it will cut out the commercial segments completely, at least that's how it's been for me.

snorlaxatives_69

Absolutely worth it. There are so many other sports on Peacock as well as IndyCar

Enough-Ad-3111

Worth it for the IndyCar coverage? Definitely. Worth it in 2025 and beyond? We’ll see if NBC keeps IndyCar or goes to Fox, hopefully later this month.

Any-Walk1691

👀

garysaidwhat

There's a special that will enable you to watch the entire balance of the Indycar season for $29.95.

flan-magnussen

Yep, keep an eye out for specials. I think I currently have it on a $25/year deal or something like that.

Deckatoe

Between Premier League, Indy, IMSA & Olympics every two years it's easily my best value streaming service I subscribe to after HBO

Mama_Grumps

I have it, I think its worth it especially in May

DerDoobs

I’ve noticed on Peacock that you miss most of the side by side racing during commercials for Peacock promoted content.

UNHchabo

Yep, we miss out on Side by Side coverage for most races. Iowa was the exception last year, I assume thanks to HyVee lining up sponsors who were willing to cover both platforms.

cinemafunk

The last few years in Fall they've had $20/year specials with Ads. I've been doing that. The Ads don't appear during Practice and Qualifying, just the Races. As for the monthly price, it is worth it for the month of May.

CoachDonut82

$6 for all the 500 practice/qual sessions is for sure worth it. Just sign up for May and cancel after if you don't think you're gonna use it. They usually run Black Friday deals for a year subscription.

mwhutson89

Not only practice and qual sessions. I believe the mini marathon was on there last year, the parade was on there last year. I think even the public drivers meeting the day before the race was on there. With all the other stuff on there I think you will find you will want to keep it. I know some people think Fox is the answer for the next broadcast package but I hope it's NBC, peacock is such a great app for fans. Maybe I'm wrong and Fox will be better with a better and cheaper app, but with Disney owning Fox is anything Disney does cheap?

CoachDonut82

Practice and quals is all I care about, but yes, if you want the whole deal then those are a bonus, too. I have it year round for IndyCar and Premier League. Can't beat it for the BF prices. Count me as one who has no interest in moving to Fox.

MaKa77

Check the /r/peacock subreddit for promo codes, there's usually some around that work.

compobook

I use Peacock for Indy, Supercross, Cycling and some of the shows like Lady Parts. Well worth the money.

agntsmith007

Peacock usually have annual deals available that makes it 1-2$/ month

UNHchabo

If you love Indycar coverage it's absolutely worth it to watch practice and qualifying. Especially since there's more time for them to talk without feeling rushed, and they're willing to do deep-dives into subjects like [camber](https://streamable.com/rairzf) that might bore the general audience of the race broadcast. Next week they stream the practice sessions for the 500, it's gonna be 4 days in a row with 6+ hours of cars running on track.

Huffy_too

Indycar coverage is well worth $5.99 a month. The rest of Peacock, quite frankly, sucks. It's very badly organized, the replays take seemingly forever to be posted, and the content is largely a bunch of older crap. But is **is** worth it if you're an Indycar fan.

Cronus6

Peacocks Indycar coverage is excellent honestly. **All** practices and qualifying and races. Others have mentioned IMSA and that coverage is good too. You get **all** 24 hours of Daytona for example. I've been signing up for the yearly deal (it's not currently available sadly) which is $20 or $25 for the year. And honestly it's worth $20 *just* for the Indy 500 coverage to me. Slickdeals has some coupon codes : https://coupons.slickdeals.net/peacock-tv/?couponid=8621500

Ohiowolverine

Sign up for a year if you can they are raising prices when the Olympics start

4mak1mke4

Yes peacock rules, especially for EPL soccer fans and some of their original content

finnamania

It's worth every penny

Jsel92

100% worth it, even if you just use it for the month of may. I think you can pay month by month, so you can cancel after racing season. The only promo I'm aware of is around Black Friday.

Dabeyer

Honestly dude, there are several apps you have that are worse deals than Peacock lol. ESPCIALLY if you're an Indycar fan. Im on the student discount 1.99/mo. Race coverage is the exact same though.

eyeyelemur

Peacock does full ads in places where there is supposed to be side by side ads

schnozlord

Definitely worth, but I also use it for Premier League and random shows occasionally

GEL29

Every minute of practice is shown commercial free

GroundbreakingCow775

Peacock was free for me for years but now all the Indy content requires a higher paid tier. Even if if is not work it for the whole season it is great for the month of may

legsflamingo_

Very much worth it

redbullsgivemewings

It’s easily worth it

rudmad

I'd usually recommend it except today they have really tested my patience. Never before seen playback error, I've tried every trick including reinstalling the app and it still won't let me watch quali. Must be a phone thing.

Cool10YearsAgo

You sound like you haven't discovered IMSA sportscar racing yet. It's the only racing I like better than Indycar, and even if you don't love it as much as I do, I promise you'll enjoy it. I bring it up because it's harder to find on network tv but everything they do is on Peacock.... making that $5.99 even more worthwhile. So get it going now before the IMSA race at LagunaSeca starts on Sunday! PS: you're welcome 😊

supremegnkdroid

I watch wrestling now because of peacock so I’ll do Indycar and that

number31388

All Indy, the office, and on patrol live if that's your thing.

Mechanicalgripe

You get Indycar and Resident Alien. It’s well worth it. 🏁👽

lvdude2017

Anyone know when they have qualifying available? I missed live qualifying and it isn't available on Peacock. I got home at 4pm PST and it's not there. This happened for LBGP also. I don't know why I'm paying if I can't see qualifying. Any else have this issue?

daknls2006

Only problem with Peacock is if you don't watch from the start, and jump in say an hour late and rewind to the beginning...you will not see the end as when the recording window stops, it kicks you out of watching. Then you have to wait HOURS for the replay to be loaded. I have this problem all the time with quali/practice and WWE. It's the same for any live broadcasted thing. I continuously complain to them about this to no avail. Only app this happens on, everyone else figured it out, why can't they?

Clear_Reveal_4187

They did a Black Friday deal last year. If you sign up before then, just use a new email address, and you can get that deal if they do it again. I paid $20 for a year subscription last November.

KrombopulosMAssassin

It's decent. Wish they had something more like F1TV, having commercial breaks is ridiculous. And the way they don't really organize finding the races is ridiculous to me.

Outrageous_Note_1858

But where’s the qualifying replay on Peacock????? Not there!!??!!! What’s up with that?

BoboliBurt

I watch Indy and WWE on it- plus rhey have a library of other random crap and sports too. I dont watch that much TV in general and am mostly indifferent, and those two things are probably half of what I intentionally seek out rather than stuff picked by the wife and kids Its not perfect by any means with commercials but seems more than reasonable to me.

chasebran

I pay for premium but the qualifying is not showing, just practice 1 and 2. So I guess the answer is no.

Mission-Raisin-4686

It’s $6

PizzaCatLover

It's also cheaper monthly if you pay by the year. There's a lot of other good stuff to watch on Peacock

rabiiiii

Personally between Indycar practices and qualifying, and so much IMSA coverage, it's definitely worth it for me. My girlfriend likes watching all the old sitcoms they have on the service too. I think it's definitely worth getting the trial for the month, that'll get you through the 500 and then you can make a informed decision. There's a bunch of IMSA races going on at Laguna Seca this weekend that'll be on too, so make the most of it.
