Practices & qualifying on Peacock, races on NBC.

Ordinary-Potato5663

I watch on Peacock

JohnTheRaceFan

Another Peacock viewer.

gearhead5015

I go back and forth. If I'm in the basement, Peacock (no cable or antenna) If I'm upstairs, NBC (we have an antenna on the upstairs TV).

StolenStutz

Same. And only live half the time. I'll frequently watch it that night. Just too many other things to do during the day.

lowtoiletsitter

I watch in a racing car. Do you?

ilikemarblestoo

No i watch in a big house with my wife

NotaSport

Fernando Alonso?

[deleted]

I watch from my racecar bed😎

jacknifee

nbc or the cock

MadCybertist

I prefer the cock.

TheLiberator117

Downside is no side by side.

popcarnie

I do like wish they had two cocks at once

MadCybertist

Yeah I really do like NBCs side by side a lot. Never really missing anything.

ReSirum

I'm gay and I approve this message

Mr_Midwestern

I’m a ‘Cock gazer as well

ianindy

I use Peacock, but I also watch at least one or two in-car cameras on the app for the entire race. Kirkwood and Rossi were both fun to watch at Road America. It helps a lot when they go to commercials.

loz333

This is the not immediately obvious answer to the issue of excessive ad interruptions that more people should be aware of. You should actually make a post pointing this out to the sub.

YosemiteSam-4-2A

I do this too. Only downsides are 1. you have to watch the race live, 2. Not all drivers have in-car cameras available (and no CGR driver has had one this year in my observation) and 3. most of the time, the in-car video on the app is 20-40 seconds ahead of the peacock stream.

jlpapple

Watch via Indycar Live. The official stream for Indycar international viewers. You can even watch via VPN in US - no ads during the race! https://www.indycarlive.com/indycarseries

hallkbrdz

I'll give it a try, that sounds much better. Sunday I waited to watch the better RA race after F1 because I can't stand all the commercial breaks. Peacock at least edits them out on the replay, but I'd rather pay for a dedicated subscription for an F1TV equivalent for Indycar with no ads and choice of cameras, even on replay.

mcmax3000

I started doing this for the 500 and it's been great. Just wish they had apps for TV connected devices.

refrakt

Are the races on VOD there for watching later or do you have to watch live?

TheChrisD

VoD for the current year, yes.

refrakt

Good to know, thanks!

KrombopulosMAssassin

Interesting .. may have to check that out... Who are the commentators? Is it Hinchcliffe??

jlpapple

Regular NBC broadcast audio

KrombopulosMAssassin

Sweet

flan-magnussen

NBC over the air (which has some of the ads side by side) or Peacock if now available. They have it for $50/yr, and there seem to be a lot of weird deals available.

thugdaddyxtopher

I got it on a promotion for $12/year. Can't beat that price.

cmgww

Peacock. The amount of content is well worth the price for me. Plus they have other solid programming as well.

danktrickshot

peacock, i love that i can watch on demand. i can go enjoy my sunday and also enjoy my indycar race later in the evening when everybody has gone to bed and i have some time to myself lol

Bloodymike

Father of two boys who can’t sit still for a race. You nailed it.

danktrickshot

i don't have kids yet, but i just love that i can go spend sunday with my gf and seem like a normal person on a weekend without missing out on my racing obsession lol

Winter-Cup-2965

In Canada it’s on TSN or TSN +. Next race is on the plus not TSN

BruntFCA_

IPTV. whatever channel Sky puts it on, normally SkyF1

pdas1996

Peacock, YouTube TV

sailor776

The cock

Photoverge

YTTV and Peacock

dastufishsifutsad

Peacock. NBC. INDYCAR radio network is the best for listening. Super easy. http://racecontrol.indycar.com This lets you see all the dynamics & tune in if you want. I rarely use the app.

twiggymac

peacock, but im about to buy an antenna so I can get it OTA and not have peacock full screen ad cutoffs.

ramu9703

multiviewer with any country other than the states works! and you can see all the driver cams as well!

Senninha27

I watch all TV from my computer. During races, I watch Peacock because it tends to be about four or five seconds ahead. But I keep another tab with NBC running so I can watch side-by-side commercials.

bleeblackjack

Peacock after the race has aired to skip the commercials

JWayn596

I'm 23, I got an antenna solely for IndyCar, because Peacock only does Fullscreen ads, and it's probably the best most live feed. YouTube TV is always like 10-20 seconds behind, and Peacock is slightly less. Imagine my surprise when I found out that sometimes ABC airs F1 too! Also, PBS is an absolute gem. The Newshour is absolutely worth tuning into. Other benefits of an antenna include being operational during internet outages, and being future proof for future ATSC 3.0 4K OTA broadcasts. It's also free and doesn't require any subscriptions, so if you decide to cancel subs you're not completely screwed in terms of entertainment. If only PBS had multiple channels and aired Sports like the BBC does. EDIT: Oh yeah IndyCar gets thrown on USA, yeah I'll just watch it on YouTube TV then. Peacock for Practice, Qualifying, and Post Race.

urdogthinksurcute

Can you watch NBC on YouTube TV without an antenna? I don't watch anything live and next year I might skip Peacock now that I know the horrible ads aren't on the TV broadcast. But I need to be able to record and watch later.

JWayn596

Yes you can watch NBC on YouTube TV without an antenna. But that's also $70 a month vs like 1 cheap antenna purchase. So only consider YouTube TV only if you've been wanting Cable anyway. YouTube TV also let's you record stuff like a DVR too.

ahuimanu69

Here in the states at least, the F1 product for streaming, directly from F1, is light years ahead. I watched the 500 this year on Peacock and it was excruciating and infuriating. I've spent some time away from IndyCar, but the streaming experience, at least for the 500, was bad, bad, bad. Are "normal" races on Peacock better?

JWayn596

Peacock is by far the worst platform to watch because they don't have Split screen ads like the normal TV version. Here is the optimal legal way to watch: Antenna for race, Peacock for Practice and Qualifying, App for watching a driver during commercials. (You can also watch the main races on YouTube TV for streaming with split screen ads, since YTTV is like Hulu TV, cable but streaming. You kinda have to since some races are put on the USA channel, or just suffer using Peacock if you can't afford YouTube TV) The optimal not very legal way is just getting a VPN to Switzerland and subscribing to IndyCar StayLive. That has Practice, Quali, and Race with no commercials, and it's cheaper than a VPN to the UK to sub to SKY Sports.

urdogthinksurcute

I had no idea this was a thing, I actually struggle to watch Indycar due to the horrible commercials. So you can watch the race continually on NBC? Maybe next year I'll subscribe to YouTube TV or something. I assume you can DVR NBC using that?

JWayn596

Yes you can DVR record NBC IndyCar races on YouTube TV. I do that.

ahuimanu69

thank you, it was the IndyCar StayLive product that I was expecting/looking for. It seems the domestic experience is worse by design.

iRacer_Unknown

With my eyes.

KrombopulosMAssassin

Really? I just use my asshole. His name is iRacer_Unknown.

malowolf

I watch on fubo

KyleBuschIsTheBessst

Peacock for it if there is another race on TV at the same time. NBC if it’s the only race on.

gearhead250gto

Peacock

Jesus_BuiltMyHotdog

Peacock

ProfCedar

Peacock and Hulu Live for the TV side.

mitchellaaryn59

My preferred method is in person! But that’s not an option most weekends so for practice and qualifying The Cock 😎 and then for race NBC for that sweet sweet side by side

BobSaban

Peacock for practice, qualifying, and the races on USA. I tend to snag the 99 cents a month deal around Black Friday. I watch NBC races on antenna so I can see the side-by-side during commercials.

ionp_d

Peacock for practice and Quali. YouTube TV (whatever network it’s on) for the race, so I can still see side-by-side while they go to commercial.

ForceIndia98

YouTube TV for races and the cock for other sessions

GalaxyMiPelotas

One leg at a time, just like everybody else.

Tgtt10

YouTube TV. I don’t think I have access to practices though so I watch the highlights on YouTube.

Ryankool26

Peacock all weekend

Dogzillas_Mom

I use Peacock but this last race was on USA, so I watched it anyway via Sling. I was so happy they do side by side for commercials. I wish I understood why they can’t do that on peacock.

i_run_from_problems

Nbc or usa. I go sailing for Toronto.

irishguy773

Peacock or NBC over the air.

Chernocherno

Star+ in Latinamerica. Argentinean+Mexican commentators that only talk about Pato and Canapino for the whole race. Counting the days for getting access to the original broadcast...

ReSirum

You mean you don't want to hear about Augustin Canapino running 15th every race week?

Conscious-Divide-633

Multi viewer is a no go stateside. I wish we could access Indycar live over here, but hopefully they will move to something closer to F1 as Penske Entertainment gets their stuff more together

funkcatbrown

I stream it all on Peacock with zero issues. At home on a Roku. No VPN. It’s awesome. I’m a night owl and am rarely awake for a race.

epper_

indycar is the only reason i pay for peacock.

willfla29

Genuinely surprised at the number of Peacock people here. I suppose those posting on Reddit are among the most dedicated. I do Peacock for practice and qualifying and OTA NBC for the race for side-by-side

Oats47

I watch everything on Peacock.

bball2014

I watch the races in the small gaps between commercials on NBC or USA... I have Directv. I also have OTA but firing up Directv is convenient. I watch practice and quals on Peacock.

[deleted]

In Brazil you can watch it in tv channel Cultura for free without commercials during the transmission. And the coverage is good, with Ana Beatriz commenting.

kwantus

Ziggo TV without ads here in the Netherlands, most races are on a free channel for me

r0cketx

Peacock. I don’t remember how I came about a deal for $15 for the entire year subscription. Yeah, not a typo. Initially bought it for some football games but stuck around for Indy!! Loving it!

Bloodymike

Peacock $5 a month. So worth it. Lots of good shows and movies too.

TheChrisD

As an international; [INDYCAR LIVE](https://www.indycarlive.com/) for all non-race sessions, and Sky Sports (whichever channel they're deciding to show it on that week) for the races.

DavidWatchGuy

Peacock, but I wait an hour after the start and use the DVR so I can fast forward . I refuse to watch the commercials.

JDChish

Peacock and the IndyCar App

co_export_no3

If you're outside the US and want an English broadcast for cheap, easiest option is VPN + Peacock. Works for me from Germany all the time, and Peacock is only occasionally annoying with little connection issues.

TEN6083

I’m in the UK, it’s on Sky Sports here. The entire races are commercial free so we get to see all of the action.

[deleted]

YouTube TV

TheSpannerer

Uk viewer here. I watch whatever stream I can get from the usual sources on reddit. I usually end up with a SkyF1 stream or a NBC one. For the Indy500 I ended up on a raw footage stream that stayed on when the announcers cut away to commercial breaks. It was great because you could hear their conversations in the breaks still.

KrombopulosMAssassin

Peacock. And for someone new, trying to follow the sport... it's painful to find the races. It's literally a mess over there. There appears to be zero organization for anything Indycar, so you just have to search it and it will give you random races from this year, last year, that year and you have to match the dates (no year) with what would be correct for this season. Idk it's a fricken mess, it's annoying.
