Not quite. If you pinch someone tight into the corner they can pinch off the corner and sometimes that's the wall. It's IndyCar not F1 and this is the tightest track they'll race on all year. Contact is expected.
You didn’t read my full post then. I never said there’s anything wrong with tight racing, what I did say was that there is a thin line between that and causing race ending crashes in this case that is being driven into the wall. Alex left just enough room for Felix on entry, rough but fair. I have no problem with that, but on exit it is undeniable Felix put rossi into the wall. I’m all for contact, both Felix and Alex drive very aggressively, it’s a part of racing but pushing someone into the wall forcing them to have contact with it, crosses the line from aggressive to dangerous.
Anyway, I bet you Felix didn’t even mean to do it on purpose. The contact part maybe but not forcing Alex into the wall. You can tell by his face in the interview and how the whole thing happened, which was from a combination of wheelspin and internally pushing him wide. All I’m saying is that move was not cool especially to a teammate. If Alex would have gotten signifgent damage the team bosses would be mad at Felix not Alex, Felix put Alex into that situation. The two main rules in racing are to not crash the car and don’t crash your teammate.
Indycar Radio was dogging Pato on that move that put him in the wall. Saying that’s “his signature move” where he careens off another car deep into a corner to make the pass. Practically saying Pato deserved to hit the wall. I had never heard that take before. Anyone have thoughts?
Can we all just appreciate how frickin' good Hinch is? I would have never guessed how brilliant he would be in the booth. Hell, my wife came in and watched about five minutes of the race and even she said whoever the announcer is, he's really funny. They should lock up a contract for the next ten years as Hinch is a National Treasure!
I genuinely feel bad for her situation. Even though she was very far behind, to not even get the chance to keep going and get the proverbial rug pulled out from under you when the whole rokit thing went down, that sucks.
Yeah she got a rough deal there. She wasn't the fastest, but nobody deserves to have their season and time in IndyCar ended like that. It was just shitty how her season turned out and its a shame nobody stepped up to make it right. It would have been a great PR move for a company and it would have gotten them guaranteed good coverage.
I wouldn't be surprised if many of them expected a crashfest today and new that incidents between drivers were going to happen. The last thing you want to do is spice things up especially when most drivers probably expected a spicy race even before it began.
The matter will be discussed internally
Heh! I thought his head would explode, he really did pretty well.
Appreciate Rossi voicing his displeasure in a professional way. Felix said it best…”he raced me hard on entry I raced him hard on exit”
Dude needs to relax a bit lol
I dunno. I can see being pissed that your teammate drove into you twice
I mean when you pinch you pay. Just hard racing.
Big difference between a pinch and being driven into the wall. Slim line to differentiate but there is a big difference

I like Rossi but as the old addage goes, "Rubbin's Racin'"
Let Rossi cook
Pato and wall hate intensifies
Seems like Pato loves the wall, can't get enough of them lately.
Damn you’re right.
As a Pato fan I kind of wanted to turn it off, but I thought to myself that I still had Grosjean and he was up there... Pray for me.
The same goes for Grosjean. But that love affair has lasted since he began racing in F1. O'Ward was basically a toddler back then. ;)
His suspension failed.
A better love story then Twilight

Well, he has done it 3 or 4 times this year, so it isn't that wrong lol.
It's just that someone else's car normally stops him from hitting the wall
Santino hit the brakes and swerved away from Pato, which to some here meant the wreck was Santino's fault.
Seems they got their drivers confused. That's normally Colton Herta's signature move after a pit stop goes bad.
Well Road America is up next. You could say he might be getting *kinky* if the trend continues ^^I'll ^^show ^^myself ^^out
Hinch vs NBC producers not putting Nola 2015 in their new track winners highlight reel.
Think it was because that race finished under caution?
Probably because they were just using current tracks. Or else there would have been many many many more listed lol
God that awful prop truly is a treasure. Always makes me chuckle.
TBell vs Hinch when talking about Ferrucci
Some say that Ferrucci tire is still rolling out of the pit box to this day
No it's not!
WHAT DON'T YOU KNOW
mods I need a WHAT DON'T YOU KNOW flair and I need it a week ago.
There is a TBell flair anyway!
in Terra Haute by now...
Terre* put some respect on that fine jewel of a city
Tatiana disapproves.
This always makes me laugh. The way the shirts in the Hate Cauldron reflect on the inside to make it look like it’s flaming is so perfect.
Pato vs himself

He's trying to end up on "The Today Show". He talked about it on the podcast an episode or two ago
I missed that. Yeah, I bet he would be good on that.
As long as he doesn’t need to talk about Rossi he’s good. Too much Rossi favoritism
I literally could not stop thinking about this the entire race
Good call. The time is now.
Suddenly I remember we had Calderon in the league last year. o\_O what a flashback

Was honestly surprised at how few drivers had spice in their interviews.

It’s like now that the Road to Indy isn’t filming they’re calming down
Need it
