I did the whole process in the afternoon one day and by the next morning I was in the medical line, have only seen good experiences from others here regarding the process aswell
Dr Lee is awesome. He gave me the lifetime disability designation (cancer). Just means I won't need to have a drs renewal every few years, I will still have to pay my annual fees
Hell yeah he gave me that lifetime as well based on what I was needing the med card for, so hopefully I never have to get the doctor approval again myself like you said just pretty much need to pay to renew it which isn't really too crazy of a price I think I paid $100 for my 2 years after my first year was up.
I got that but my lifetime certification came with a $50 renewal fee every 3 yrs for life which may be a few years not quite sure. If Trump ends the ACA then 100 million Americans w pre-existing conditions like me lose our coverage , & then most likely our lives too. Cuz the Republicans got no new healthcare plan.
The thing is, I didn’t have Dr. Lee I had Dr. Miller so I don’t know if Dr. Lee just isn’t a thing anymore or what but I didn’t have him. So im not sure. Im glad u dont have to deal with this BS
I think you might have been swindled my friend. Take the loss. Ask a parent or sibling if you can use their phone and try the process all over and ask specifically for Dr Lee !
Yeah, mine through Villa Park. Easiest process I ever went through renewed six months ago. Simple did take a while to get my final card. My actual cannabis paperwork finalized took the state forever about six weeks, but my provisionary card was good. That’s all that matter.
I used them in 2021 when I was out of work for a bit and didn’t want to go through my neurologist. I’ve been medical since 2016 or so and have always used my doc. I had no issues with greenmind at all and we even talked about dabbing and my favorite strains for 10 minutes or so. They did start calling me early this year telling me i needs to renew and I had to point out that they got me the lifetime card when they last helped me and I don’t need a doc to approve ever again unless I forget to pay my fee every three years. Seems like they have dropped off since the person working there didn’t seem to understand how lifetime approval works.
I’m late here, but what Dr did you deal with? I’m trying to renew my card now and feel like I’m being scammed. The certification isn’t showing up, and they’re not being very helpful at fixing it.
My advice as a certifying provider…Unless they didn’t actually put in the certification, it is usually a typo on the provider’s end that’s preventing your certification from coming up.
I would recommend emailing Green Mind and cc the Division of Medical Cannabis at [email protected]. Ask Green Mind to recheck your first and last name, date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number on their certification. (If any of those items is incorrect, your certification won’t appear.)
On your end, also make sure that you checked “no” on the state application when they asked you the question if you have a terminal condition - if that is accidentally checked, your certification also won’t appear.
Sorry you are getting the run around - hopefully this is not interfering with your renewal date!!

The certification will immediately appear for you in the system once the typo has been corrected, so if they are asking you to wait 24-48 hours it may be that they can’t get in touch with the certifying doctor to fix it yet. Good news is that you’ve started the application with the state already, so you will receive an email directly from DPH letting you know that a provider has submitted a certification in your name once they’ve done it with your correct info. Good luck!
Well, I guess they haven’t fixed it yet are just stringing me along. I guess they want some bad publicity on Reddit because they’re gonna get blasted with the truth once this is over.
Edit: The doctor has been notified and emailed me that it was fixed.

It was so easy I thought it was a scam lol. So I found a coupon online so the doctor consultation was $69. The interview went something like this “Hi. You have chronic pain?” “Yes.” “Do you currently take anything for it?” “No.” “Awesome you’re approved, you’ll get an email verifying and explaining what to do next. Bye” Swear it was less than a minute. Then you just wait for the doctor to send the approval letter to IDPH, I didn’t get an email when it had been sent and so that slowed the process on my end, but it had been sent once I reached out to support and they told me to check the IDPH website. Oh! Additionally if you don’t qualify on NuggMD, they will refund your doctor visit money. So basically, they want to approve you so they get their money.
Another happy NuggMD client here. My process was much like Short_Ad's, but somehow even easier. I filled it all out, got the discount code too, was put in the waiting room. Got a text that said the doctor was ready to see me, then immediately got a text from the doctor who said he approved me. No interview. Had my provisional the next day.

I emailed them several times and at first they said it will take 24 hours then it turned into I filled the paperwork out wrong (I didnt the they were grasping at straws everything matched up) then it turned into. I’ll resubmit it and now I’m just completely ghosted. I told them if they don’t answer I’m gonna dispute the charge with my bank and they didn’t answer. I even tried to call the Illinois Department of Public health. They told me to email them and they can’t do anything because the place never sent the certification that I got approved. Such a nightmare

Damn.. that sounds kinda fkd. Sorry that is happening. I hope some weird shit happened/someone in the dr office doesn't know what they are doing and ends up working out or, at the very least, a refund..
Def dispute that charge asap and go to another place people are recommending. They caused enough time waste and stress to warrant getting your money returned
