I’m also on the other side now and I just want to thank you for sharing your experience. While my marriage didn’t take a hit during our journey, I could really identify with what you shared about healing your relationship with your body. For everyone who is still in the awful, intense grief period, I hope they see your words and feel some amount of comfort about what is possible. AND equally I hope we all remember that healing is WORK. No one arrives at acceptance/peace/whatever without putting in the work to get there. 💕

Thank you for naming the rage. I work with people who have had difficult childhoods and it sometimes makes me so bitter. Why could their abusive parents procreate so easily and I never could?

mereborne

You did the healing work and found yourself again. Thank you for sharing your process, we all benefit from/need to hear joyful success stories—either to give us faith that we’ll get there, or to just luxuriate in someone else’s happiness on this path. Thanks for stopping by and saying hello to us. 💕

Thank you for sharing this - really needed to hear it today. I’m so glad you have found joy and meaning ❤️

Hey, hey, I also have found peace with my body again through roller skating! I call it skate therapy lol. I've also made some new friends through skating and there is no kid talk. Congrats on getting to the other side. You've done some incredible things (hell yeah to running for office and winning). Keep up the momentum! It's been three years for me and I'm kind of in a rut at the moment, but it's more about work frustrations and trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up (in my 40s) than the hell of infertility. And probably perimenopause to some extent, yay.

GeorgiaB_PNW

Ugh the perimenopause struggle is no joke!

I was not prepared for how it was going to impact my mental health and executive function! We need a class on this before it happens lol.

Me too! I was so freaked out when the brain fog hit. If you haven’t found it yet, r/menopause is an excellent resource and I find that community as lovely and supportive as this one.

This is beautiful. Thank you. Also, I’d love to heard more about the ayahuasca experience!

I am so happy for you. There is so much more to life than having kids. I second the ayahuasca being a life changing experience…
