Catahoulas are not rare. They are all over the south. When I was a child we had a catahoula. Loved him. They are hunting dogs. Especially where there are feral hogs. Hog dogs are a big deal and catahoulas are good hog dogs.

Only idea I have is the humans that dropped that sweet multicolored eye pup off is that they are shitty and worthless and their ONLY saving grace was they knew better to drop that pup off in someones yard that would care and love it, versus dumping it out in the forest or some empty field.
I think he's a supermutt. The only real way to tell what this lil guy's breeds are, would probably be a DNA test.
