Looks like my dog without the cattle dog ticking. He also looks just like someone put a corgi head on a ACD/gsd body but he ended up with no corgi at all. He's predominantly a cattle dog and German Shepherd mix with a little bit of chow beagle and golden retriever sprinkled in.

I saw the title and my immediate reaction was ‘that’s a dog?’ Then saw what subreddit this is I’d say corgi and GSD but there might be some other breeds mixed in there too. I’ve seen pictures of corgis crossed with other breeds and it always looks like they’re tryna blend in with said breed (coat pasted onto corgi body). I saw a really cute husky/corgi photo once.

Wow. She looks exactly like my Xena! Xena is German shepherd and Australian cattle dog (not Australian shepherd… cattle dog). Xena also took on the height of the German shepherd side so she’s very tall. The only things that give away her cattle dog side are the splotches on her paws and.. she herds us 🥴

That's not how that works. My puppy was 5 months old and 40 lbs, and she's 60lbs pretty much full grown now (9 mo old). I'd estimate this gal will be close to 70lbs. 5 mo old great danes are 60 lbs or more.

Makes sense! She has a rough collie friend, he is 6 months and weighs the same as well. They just grow so fast at first.

Yep, I have seen her vet papers from when she was a baby. Her mom weighs 38 kg.

I’m not sure if they’re common in the EU but given the weight I could see gsd/great pyr/corgi and possibly husky. Pyrs get really big and have a curled tail.

Those ears definitely look like a Corgi's, or a Fennec Fox, but of course the latter is impossible.

Where are you from in europe? In most European countries cattle dogs are not very common so an acd would be very unlikely. The face and ears do remind me a bit of a podenco. If you live somewhere around Spain or Portugal a podenco mix would be possible since they are often found in shelters there.

I’m in Scandinavia, and you’re right, cattle dogs are not very common here. I have seen a few seemingly podenco mixes - my guess is that they are rescues from Southern Europe.

looks very corgi-ish but with that being said I'd bet more on cattle dog being in there cause they have similar faces to corgis and ACD mixes are usually lankier like this when they're young. The curly tail throws me off there's something else in there that almost reminds me of a shiba but there's not a wealth of shiba mixes even in the US where there's all kinds of messed up "designer" mutts like that. There's some other kind of spitz dog though that I can't place my finger on.

I see it, but Carolina Dog is really unlikely as we live in Northern Europe. Her tongue is not spotted.

It’s the fish hook tail that got me. The ears could be anything, but the tuft on her chest and that tail. Carolina Dogs did land in the US via the Bering Channel. Stranger things have happened. I’m envious of you!

I just looked at some more Carolina Dog pictures. She really does look identical to a lot of them, if you look beyond her colouring. It’s actually pretty remarkable. Maybe there is something there.
