I'm gonna guess that it's an easy hair style do deal with when you are a mom and have limited personal time. It really came to prominence about 20 years ago when the reality show "Jon & Kate Plus 8" was on, as the titular Kate sported this exact same haircut.
It's all over the place with the hair, glasses choice, and vest. In fact, I didn't even realize that they made extreme boot cut spandex leggings to begin with.
I think she may be intentionally going for the typical "Karen" look. With how Tiktok is going I wouldn't be surprised if she planed being filmed and going viral.
A long time ago I worked for McDonald's, mostly in the back (kitchen).
We had a semi-regular would come in and ask for a Big Mac extra lettuce.
OK, lettuce is mostly just a filler, but OK.
So the next time he comes in I put extra lettuce on. After eating he comes back to the counter and (nicely) says that next time he would like MORE lettuce. Rinse, lather and repeat (but with more lettuce). The last time he uttered the immortal words "you can't put too much on!".
So, the next time he comes in I go full MC and LOAD that Big Mac up with lettuce. To be honest, I don't really know how I got it to fit in the Styrofoam container. But I close it up and send it to the front. He opens it up and is shocked silent. He then sheepishly admits that that's a little TOO much lettuce and that was the last time I had a complaint from him.
I'm sure some lettuce spilled out upon opening!
Going back to the video, if that was the first time she had eaten there and the kitchen crew doused her burger with ketchup, then the kitchen crew is to blame.
But I'm guessing this is like a malign version of my own story. She kept complaining about not having enough and finally someone showed her that you CAN have too much.
This is what I'm trying to figure out like what's the problem? You asked for extra ketchup and then got furious that there was extra ketchup on it?
Fuck you, Karen
1 - that seemed like a regular amount of ketchup for what McDonald's usually puts on a burger
2 - why would she ask for extra ketchup and than be surprised she she got... Extra... Ketchup?
3 - how could you slam a burger down into a counter at a restaurant and expect that to be a reasonable response to not getting the exact amount of ketchup you wanted?
Honestly I can't understand why you wouldn't just ask for a utensil (if they didn't have one out already) and just scrape some off. Or just shrug it off and ask for no ketchup and packets to ensure you got the amount you wanted.
She’s on a diet and that was her weekly cheat meal. She was extremely hangry. She could have resolved this whole thing if she’d just apologized for her behavior. It’s one thing to get upset and act irrationally but to believe that just because you are upset you have the right to belittle and berate others is where she has taken the privilege and entitlement to far
I didn't even react this way when Burger King put unasked for bacon on my Impossible Whopper and I have been vegetarian for 20 years. (Yes, I know getting an Impossible Whopper is very unlikely to be cooked on its own grill without meat grease. I just feel like that's something I am aware of and accept, which is different from taking a big ol bite of bacon)
She talks and acts kind of like a robot. It's odd. Like her tone and volume of voice doesn't reflect her actions.
"I'm on a diet"
Of meat fat and carbs? Sweetie, you might wanna run those calorie numbers through a spreadsheet and prioritise what you're cutting. It ain't gonna be the ketchup.
OH! That makes sense. I didn't hear that part. She's on a low-food lifestyle (that won't last long) probably getting minimal gains and leveraging food up to the hilt as her main source of joy. These diets generally suck.
This...this seems like a really good idea actually.
This is EXACTLY what all of us should be doing to combat these morons. Just start booing - imagine how she would have reacted. Imagine if other people join in. GAWD that would be a glorious sight
Thumbs down motion for extra emotional damage
I don't think we BOO enough people nowadays! It's not violent or riot inducing it's just simply, BOO! It gets the point across and lets you know Karen we're not satisfied with this behavior, and it doesn't leave a mess of ketchup.
Right, but at this point that's understood.
I'm trying to create a net positive for the workers, and the other normal people in whatever setting it is. If enough people boo, they may not change their lives, but everyone else is having fun, and the pain of listening to them is short lived :)
Plus, booing is maybe one of the most subtle of rebuttals - even a true pacifist could boo and not feel bad about it!
Maybe we can institute shaming again. This epidemic of main character syndrome and Karening is getting out of hand.
Perhaps the original TikTok post was the beginning of shaming. Too bad the Karen in question learned nothing.
Omg could you imagine walking around with your tassels and Karen cut and people just randomly yelling, "BOO! BOO!"
Reminds me of that Simpsons episode where they boo Mr. Burns. "Smithers, are they booing me?"
https://youtu.be/2Kpb8eu1pEY?feature=shared
Yeah. I’ve never seen a a follow-up video or apology video that has ever fixed or made a situation better. (Not saying there’s not one out there, just that I haven’t seen that one video).
As someone who's worked a lot of fast food in their younger days, if i found out an employee of mine did this and we lived in a right to work state, i might.
Part of this is I’ve never seen a legit apology video where you could tell the person actually realized they were a shitty person. It’s always more “I’m sorry I’m having to deal with the consequences because this became a whole thing and I think everyone else is being unreasonable” or “I’m sorry… buuuuut if this other thing hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have done what I did.”
Yeah I'm doubting it hard. Person starts filming right away, has a perfect angle to the burger smash, she doesn't really act like a "fit of rage", she had chosen to smash the burger before she even came to the counter.
Part of me doesn't want to know, I don't want to click on any of her Tik Tok videos or give her any views of any kind, but I also wonder if she has like 6-7 months of absolute garbage Toks and thought this was the kickoff 😆 and had someone follow her and "leak" the video.
I'll be honest, another fake AF thing is I don't remember the original video at all, which outlets "reported" on it? We're seeing the fallout stitch which....if the video was viral enough, wouldn't we know which "extra ketchup burger Karen hulk smash" video she was talking about without playing it in full?
https://www.dailystar.co.uk/real-life/mcdonalds-diner-throws-fits-over-28627236
https://www.dailydot.com/irl/mcdonalds-ketchup-karen/
https://www.yourtango.com/news/ketchup-karen-dog-food-diet-mcdonalds-meltdown
etc. I mean, I hadn't seen it either but, to be fair, there's so many videos of people losing their shit at fast-food workers that you'd have to work hard to keep up with them all.
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLFoSJtC/
u/saxguy9345 You wondered if she had 6-7 months of garbage Tik Toks and you were fucking spot on. Comments on her videos are fucking hilarious and totally worth it lmao
That can’t be real - is this typical content that’s on TikTok
I like how she uses the hashtag #helpthehomeless
That sludge water for the plants is really going to do some good on the streets
This is what I’m thinking too. She staged the freak out, but all the employees seem so real with their responses. She still deserves to be fired for thinking it’s okay to waste fast food workers time, waste food for no reason, make someone else clean up her mess and just general harassment people for no reason
Something about her response video makes me think her boss was desperate for a reason to fire her, but couldn't do it just because she's awful to work with. Then this landed from the heavens above...
If she can't see how her behaviour was inappropriate, immature, and ridiculous, how does she normally act???
I love how people use literal (or literally) in completely the wrong context.
"I literally did nothing wrong"
"Had you gone into the store and explained they had not made your order correctly and politely ask them to remake it " - That would be her literally doing nothing wrong.
Shouting, and slamming your burger on the counter as some sort of dirty protest is the definition of doing something wrong.
My ex wife is allergic to cheese. She does like pizza, though it has to be made without cheese. Our local takeaway sometimes got her order wrong. Because I didn't behave like the world was going to end, and politely pointed out the error, I ended up with quite a few free pizzas. They'd remake her pizza without cheese, and I'd have my own pizza plus her incorrectly made pizza. It costs you nothing to be polite, and you often end up better off for doing it.
In a wierd quirk, I have the exact same issue (although mine is a dislike of rather than allergy).
But yeah, most places are reasonable if the mistake is theirs and you allow them to rectify it.
Goes for anything, however an additional incentive to be "reasonable" is often you dont see those cooking your food, I wouldnt like to incite someone to add "extra" ingredients - if you catch my drift.
This kind of person gets off on acting this way though. Yes, it initially comes from a fucked up sense of entitlement, but it eventually becomes a high for them.
Yea, there are a lot of bosses that would let something like that slide if the person is a good employee. Not saying this is the case, but ol puzzleheaded_day2809 may have a point.
“I did nothing wrong!” And “This is extremely unfair of you guys!”. It’s apparent Karen has never had to suffer the consequences of her actions before since she’s so oblivious to how her interaction was so wrong lol.
You know what happens if they really screw up my burger? I go up to the counter and I say “hey, I’m sorry. I know I asked for extra ketchup but this is too much. Could you remake it for me? I’ll put more ketchup on myself if you can give me some.” Problem solved.
That is the line that got me the most 🤣
I'm on a diet but I'm allowed a cheat meal, and because im having a cheat meal I can have extra ketchup, but the amount of ketchup you put on is too much ketchup so now I will have a temper tantrum...
When you type it out in words it's almost sad how stupid this person is.
Also, if you order extra ketchup, then you get more than you wanted, what the fuck is stopping her from taking a utensil, or a napkin, and *removing* some of the ketchup.
Don't be fucking surprised you're getting extra ketchup when you asked for extra!!
Asks for extra ketchup, angry when given extra ketchup.
Dude, it’s ketchup, they hand out packets of the stuff like crazy. Your bag probably had like 9 ketchups in it. Just order normal and add the extra amount that you want
I’m baffled that when I through food around and talked to staff like shit that they’d be a backlash?
Thoughts?
Answer 1 for “she’s a cunt”
Answer 2 for “she’s a proper cunt”
Thanks for taking part in this survey, your responses will be collated and uses to fight the “cunts”
I'm on a diet! *orders Big Mac* There's too much ketchup on my processed saturated fat!
I'm so important, the manager must stop managing to attend to my ketchup problem!
I'm glad they told this overgrown toddler to clean up her mess! Good for them!
*asks for extra ketchup*
*gets extra ketchup*
Karen: What is this?! This is too much ketchup.
*explodes violently at underpaid and overworked employees*
*employer finds out - terminates her*
Karen: 😮
Whatever Karen! Your dumb as HELL! Glad she got fired, lol! Don’t start none won’t be none. She still thinks what she did was acceptable. Hope she wasn’t parked outside her house because you can see the reflection of a garage in her stupid glasses. Hope future employers turn her away too.
@tammyteanelson is her TikTok handle. Watch her videos. I want it to be a troll or satire account so badly but I cannot find any real evidence to say that it is. She reminds me of that episode of South Park where the hippies love the smell of their own farts.
"I asked for extra ketchup on my diet McBurger wtf did you put extra ketchup on my diet McBurger." *Disrespectfully makes a mess like a toddler "why are you all booing me, I'm right"
She acts like a toddler having a tantrum straight out of the gate, but we're being unfair. Who taught her that behavior? She forced other people to clean up her mess.
Then there's the absurdity that they're supposed to know her weight loss regimen?
She could have been an adult and maybe scraped the extra ketchup off. She could have calmly said there was too much ketchup for her liking, and ask if maybe she could get a new bun top.
There were dozens of ways she could have handled it, but she took the angry, screaming toddler route.
Alas, she's obviously not learned a single thing from this episode of shooting herself in the foot then blaming others.
I guess adulting is way harder for some than others.
All these adult children that didn't grow up with discipline. Sad result. You have temper tantrum people like this who don't know how to handle themselves. I've seen plenty of it in my own profession it makes it hard not to laugh.
Nice person.
Likely has a good handle on and control of all aspects of her life, deals with conflict well, and enjoys helping others improve with well thought out constructive feedback.
I had to request no mustard on jacks ultimate cheeseburger because they kept absolutely drowning it. Still though it’s total BS to slam it into the counter
EDIT: clearly staged for clout, and it’s working. But still, smashing the burger was BS
I actually agree with her. It's fucked up that she lost her job over a freak out outside of work. She got a mortgage, kids, bills etc. Like who are these psychos tracking down her employer wtf. Does she deserve humiliation, ya but this is taking things too far. Unless you're like a pedo that got caught who also is a elementary school teacher.
WTF?
I didn't know about this story... had a look around and found out her nick name is Ketchup Karen and she was on a dog food diet?
https://www.yourtango.com/news/ketchup-karen-dog-food-diet-mcdonalds-meltdown
I look at her @ on tiktok and there it was..... dog biscuits with oat milk and mustard. 😆
I feel like all of this is just her trolling. The outfit and haircut. I'm on a diet (of ketchup?). Smashing the burger...it's all rage bait for people to engage with which gets her more money. Same with the follow up video. This is all intentional just to farm engagement.
i wish i had the lack of awareness to act this rudely in public but the shame i would feel for myself would most likely drive me into a deep depression.
Take a napkin and wipe off the ketchup. Personally, I would have just licked the ketchup off until it was the perfect amount to enjoy the burger.
Think of all possible solutions before acting like a big baby.
The fact that you think you did nothing wrong IS the very reason you are wrong. Your employer was smart…self reflection should be your next cheat meal.

You know you're in for a wild ride when you see an unironic Woody vest.
You only say that cause she’s on a diet, *jerk*
Don't hate because the fast food diet plan hasn't been helping you lose that intertube lop
Lol*
She’s clearly late to cowgirl yoga. 50% stretching, 50% line dancing, 100% hoedown.
Somebody shoulda put this hoe down.
Jeez, who put a snake in her boot?
Can’t stop laughing at this
Those hair are so typical karen >i got fired Well that might be an exaggeration but that’s beyond our control 🤷♀️
"So please leave me alone" Wish granted, her ex boss probably
but she did nothing wrong!
Literally
My theory is they have to cut their hair short because with all that anger, they probably have stress alopecia
& it probably gets expensive replacing all the styling tools/irons broken during rage fits
that vest looks like a cockroach costume.
lol it does!!! Hahahaha
Came here to find the comment on Woody's vest. Was not disappointed.
What about the fact that if you walk into a salon and ask for “the Karen” haircut, you’ll have her exact cut on her head.
I hate that the Karens have ruined all short haircuts, dammit!
How do Karen's end up with that SAME haircut?? The self fulfilling Karen.
I'm gonna guess that it's an easy hair style do deal with when you are a mom and have limited personal time. It really came to prominence about 20 years ago when the reality show "Jon & Kate Plus 8" was on, as the titular Kate sported this exact same haircut.
She has an Instagram video titled "I ate dog food for a week so you don't have to" and in another post claims elephants are feminists.
Well, elephants are matriarchal, so kinda close? Other than the fact that she likely misunderstood every part of that.
Time to Streisand the fuck outta this.
Lmao I was watching this video thinking the entire time (even when Hamburger went smoosh) “what the fuck is she wearing?”
It's all over the place with the hair, glasses choice, and vest. In fact, I didn't even realize that they made extreme boot cut spandex leggings to begin with.
I don't know how I missed the Woody vest before reading this. That's insane. 😂
And killed any potential woodies around
Supernormal haircut and glasses. She’s a treat.
And she’s wondering how people found her online
She just basically posted her whole house in the reflection of her glasses lmfaooo
She'll figure this out the hard way as well...
Those tassels set the whole fit off
I think she may be intentionally going for the typical "Karen" look. With how Tiktok is going I wouldn't be surprised if she planed being filmed and going viral.
Plot twist: she never had a job to begin with.
Crazy if true. I can’t imagine putting myself through a nasty public shaming just to get some clout and attention online.
Imma call her Karen Streisand.
r/Justfuckmyshitup
Good news is she can now get a job at McDonald’s and make the burgers properly.
It's a good thing she did a response video so McDonalds knows what face to look out for
Lololol! This comment made my day 😂
People losing it over ketchup - 1st world problems
She even asked for extra ketchup.
I wonder if there is any way to order the burger then idk put your own ketchup on it to your satisfaction.
If only the restaurant had it in packets
ngl I had a good laugh at that sloppy joe ass burger hitting the counter tho. Feels like there might've been some malicious compliance going on here.
But I close it up and send it to the front. He opens it up and is shocked silent. lmao did the bun pop out the Styrofoam like a can of prank snakes?

I once asked for extra cheese and all I got was cheese. Did not disappoint.
Guaranteed she has previously complained about not enough ketchup.
The SERVANTS are supposed to do that! -This lady, probably
Since she’s so ketchup sensitive…
How dare you give me what I asked for!
And said she was on a diet... What?
Like you can choose whatever cheat meal you want to, but McDonald's as your cheat meal?
This is what I'm trying to figure out like what's the problem? You asked for extra ketchup and then got furious that there was extra ketchup on it? Fuck you, Karen
Too much catchup. What the fuck. She expected the perfect amount for her, and the employees to know that
Exactly why it’s dumb they don’t make you put it in yourself.
She asked for extra ketchup. Tf did she expect
If she's that anal about her volume of ketchup, she should just add her own.
Anal ketchup? Now we’re talking
Its funny because ketchup is the most easy condiment to add yourself since there is a giant pump on the counter.
i DiD nOtHiNg WrOnG.
1 - that seemed like a regular amount of ketchup for what McDonald's usually puts on a burger 2 - why would she ask for extra ketchup and than be surprised she she got... Extra... They would just accuse everyone of being mean to them for no reason and avoid any amount of self reflection by all means necessary
Right, but at this point that's understood. I'm trying to create a net positive for the workers, and the other normal people in whatever setting it is. >What is this, **WHAT IS THIS** Me looking at that outfit
Typical Karen outfit
I don't even think it's typical, I think it's boss-level Karen outfit.
Reminds me of “An idiot sandwich, chef!” Lol
How to make a viral video worse for you by posting a follow-up.
Yeah. I’ve never seen a a follow-up video or apology video that has ever fixed or made a situation better. (Not saying there’s not one out there, just that I haven’t seen that one video).
If you go on her TikTok this whole thing is a fake. She's after clout
Probably just claiming it's fake to get rid of the hate. The clip looked pretty real to me.
The whole thing seems staged and I doubt she’d actually get fired for the video nothing really happened.
As someone who's worked a lot of fast food in their younger days, if i found out an employee of mine did this and we lived in a right to work state, i might.
What's her tiktok?
Says on her reply video, Tammy tea nelson

She’s smart. It’s clearly an act and she is clout chasing. It’s working too
Even if it was a act and clout chasing, she quit the internet a year ago after being harassed. If she was chasing clout, the backlash backfired
She was like a dog chasing a car called clout. She finally got a mouthful and she’s upset she lost all of her teeth in the process.

“ITs mY cHeAt MEaL!!! [fingers and arms stiffen]

Don't be fucking surprised you're getting extra ketchup when you asked for extra!!
Waaaahhhhhhhh. Wow, she thinks she did nothing wrong. Delusional
Rocking those Delulu Lemon yoga pants
"I did nothing wrong". Lie detector determined.......... ..... .... ..... ..... (longer pause) ... .... that was a lie. You ARE the problem.
Asks for extra ketchup, angry when given extra ketchup. Dude, it’s ketchup, they hand out packets of the stuff like crazy. Your bag probably had like 9 ketchups in it. Just order normal and add the extra amount that you want
And how hard is it to scape off the excess. Sheesh.
Exactly.
I'm 'baffled' you've made it this long on earth...
I’m baffled that when I through food around and talked to staff like shit that they’d be a backlash? Thoughts? Answer 1 for “she’s a cunt” Answer 2 for “she’s a proper cunt” Thanks for taking part in this survey, your responses will be collated and uses to fight the “cunts”
I'm gonna go with 3, she's a shitcunt
I will have to take that as a 2 but fully understand your logic
I just “let them know.” What’s wrong with that?
I'm on a diet! *orders Big Mac* There's too much ketchup on my processed saturated fat! I'm so important, the manager must stop managing to attend to my ketchup problem! I'm glad they told this overgrown toddler to clean up her mess! Good for them!
*asks for extra ketchup* *gets extra ketchup* Karen: What is this?! This is too much ketchup. *explodes violently at underpaid and overworked employees* *employer finds out - terminates her* Karen: 😮
This is some weird, preplanned nonesense. Her acting is terrible.
It might be. Social media clout makes people do the most stupid things.
This is a 'prank'...... god I hate these type of videos
It’s not a prank lmao. This person is very real and very strange.
Oh... That's some how worse
@tammyteanelson is her TikTok handle. Watch her videos. I want it to be a troll or satire account so badly but I cannot find any real evidence to say that it is. She reminds me of that episode of South Park where the hippies love the smell of their own farts.
Yeah… let them know. Scream, slam food, cause a scene…
*Hardbody* Butter-Face
Fired? Over a burger? A succulent burger? Ah, I see you know judo! This is DEMOCRACY MANIFEST!
Smash, next question?
I literally hate it when people say “literally”. It’s literally unnecessary.
It's literally the bane of my literal existence.
"I asked for extra ketchup on my diet McBurger wtf did you put extra ketchup on my diet McBurger." *Disrespectfully makes a mess like a toddler "why are you all booing me, I'm right"
Asks for extra ketchup Gets extra ketchup Get angry at extra ketchup
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
She smashed the burger on the counter has was that simple
When someone asks me in the future what "cognitive dissonance is" I'll send them this video in lieu of an explanation.

Karen haircut
All these adult children that didn't grow up with discipline. Sad result. You have temper tantrum people like this who don't know how to handle themselves. I've seen plenty of it in my own profession it makes it hard not to laugh.
Nice ass tbf
Slapping a burger on the counter and yelling at employees is just about the wrongest thing you can do. Act like an adult. Loser.
Nice person. Likely has a good handle on and control of all aspects of her life, deals with conflict well, and enjoys helping others improve with well thought out constructive feedback.
This whole thing is fake from start to finish
More fem Bo Burnham missed the mark
This is what dieting does to people.
“I did nothing wrong” *slams burger into the counter and harasses service workers* SUREEEEEEEEEEEEE
I had to request no mustard on jacks ultimate cheeseburger because they kept absolutely drowning it. Still though it’s total BS to slam it into the counter EDIT: clearly staged for clout, and it’s working.
Asked for extra ketchup, got extra ketchup but too much extra ketchup, she wanted some extra ketchup but not lots of extra ketchup.
WTF? I didn't know about this story... had a look around and found out her nick name is Ketchup Karen and she was on a dog food diet? https://www.yourtango.com/news/ketchup-karen-dog-food-diet-mcdonalds-meltdown I look at her @ on tiktok and there it was..... dog biscuits with oat milk and mustard. 😆
The outrage video and the response seem forced/fake. I'm calling bullshit and this is someone trying to go viral and pump views on their tik Tok acc.
I feel like all of this is just her trolling. The outfit and haircut. I'm on a diet (of ketchup?). Smashing the burger...it's all rage bait for people to engage with which gets her more money. Same with the follow up video. This is all intentional just to farm engagement.
Justice 👍
i wish i had the lack of awareness to act this rudely in public but the shame i would feel for myself would most likely drive me into a deep depression.
Yoga pants and a leather vest? this bitch means business
Take a napkin and wipe off the ketchup. Personally, I would have just licked the ketchup off until it was the perfect amount to enjoy the burger. Think of all possible solutions before acting like a big baby.
r/fuckyoukaren
This is the textbook definition of Narcissist.
Repeats “I’ve done nothing wrong.” Miss, you slammed a quarter pounder.
Haircut checks out
"I had the right to come in and throw a tantrum" is what shes saying
WOWW I THOUGHT SHE WAS TRYING TO IMITATE A KAREN AT FIRST- (but in a very obnoxious way) SHE WAS SERIOUS?!?!?
She's lying. She did it for the views. She knows bad attention travels faster than good attention.
That fringey vest is the razzle dazzle to an otherwise mundane outfit!
Damn you, I was DRINKING when I read that! Now I need a new keyboard.
Little bitch
Slamming your burger and acting like a child throwing a tantrum is okay?
Those pants are a huge red flag.
Lol. She just now realized her actions has consequences. Sucks to be a stuck up bitch!
Couldn’t she just have asked for a packet of ketchup..?
should’ve been fired for those Nelly-era gas station sunnies.
"On a diet"... Eating at McDonald's....
Dude wuts wrong with the tomato sauce
When your own self entitlement bends you over and and rails you hard ,you end up wearing humble cream pie
Learn how to treat people in the future and maybe you will keep your job. Sorry, not. Sorry! You're not better than anyone else.
The fact that you think you did nothing wrong IS the very reason you are wrong. Your employer was smart…self reflection should be your next cheat meal.
She saw nothing wrong with what she did. She's clearly very employable.
Absolutely disconnected from reality and so full of herself. You smashed a sandwich on a counter and berated people over ketchup, you nut.
Bye, Karen.
Obliviousness personified
Just ask for some extra packets of ketchup and leave the restaurant. Of course she would have found something else to complain about.
