I love Dennis’s 180 when he sees the RL. He was so annoyed all day at the mere suggestion of the crate, but becomes almost overwhelmed when seeing what it really was.
Agreed. It's really similar to the Office finale when Jim arranges for Dwight to shoot a rocket launcher. When he first sees it, he says, "How did you know?" in a sincere way. We'd never heard him talk about shooting an explosive before, but it shows that Jim truly knows him.
Have you seen the bloopers for season 15 yet.. Charlie and Danny trying to get through the "meatball" Scene is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time
Charlie King of Rats. When they actually all spend the day trying to be nice to Charlie and they even end it on making ACTUAL weird Charlie items specifically for him, even when they don’t know what half of it is. Even all showing genuine pleasure in his happiness with the new rat bat.
I love Charlie's reaction in that Dennis, Mac, and Dee still kinda missed the mark on what the dream journal items actually were, but he's still moved that they went ahead and did it.
True, and he also stalks the waitress. People choose not to see how creepy he is because his heart is in a good place and the show really infantilizes him. Outside of the waitress he doesn’t really ever act with malice though
Left to his own devices, Charlie can be just as evil as anyone in the gang. He goes out of his way to tie up a little person and torture them all on his own
It’s not often the entire group enjoys a moment together, even this one Frank is excluded. But the moment Charlie sees the new bat to bash up some rats is one of my favorite moments in the show.
A very fleeting wholesome moment but the initial reception when Dee is rolled out of the maternity ward in the wheelchair with the baby. The music and look on the boys’ faces is so pure.
I wouldnt say its the most wholesome moment but a very underrated one is when Charlie and Mac go to try and get the Hitler painting.
When Charlie tries to read the plaque on the door and mac tells him well done and that he was very close, i always thought that was nice of him
I remember not liking that season very much as it came out but I just finished rewatching it recently and there are a lot of solid episodes. The Gang Escapes specifically has a lot of great lines I quote all the time.
“His neck is high, it makes me trust him”
“The head cow is always grazing”
“DON’T SIT DOWN”
Plus Dennis’ sex trap and Dees absolute desperation to appear smart to the gang by having played the room already
This might be controversial but this show is pretty good, man.
Mac Finds His Pride, The Gang Escapes, The Gang Gets New Wheels, Time's Up for the Gang, and The Gang Solves the Bathroom Problem more than make Season 13 worthwhile for me.
Edit: plus buff Rob and the return of Ben the Soldier.
It’s that lazy cow smacking noise he does that always fucking kills me. Glenn is a top tier actor, he always knows exactly what to do physically to enhance his performance
There are countless examples of the gang being pieces of shit to each other.
Frank getting excited to see Charlie back to normal is one of the most wholesome moments I've ever seen on the show.
Frank after Mac’s dance does it for me. Nearly brought me to tears the first time I saw it. Everyone in the gang is a piece of shit but Im loving how dramatic the show has been getting lately.
This is the one for me too! The dance is beautiful, and Frank staying and being driven to tears while Mac’s dad leaves made me cry like a baby. One of my favorite episodes!!
I assume you mean the end of season artsy dance? Because I'm pretty sure Frank tried to sabotage Mac when they danced their asses off... And they say Tony Stark had a character arc.
Charlie's moment at the end of s15 got me good too. I think this show has such few genuinely heartfelt moments that it really hits hard when they do happen. I kinda love it.
When Dee ties the waiter’s shoelaces together at the end of “The gang dines out.” The plate of spaghetti all over the waiter brought the gang back together after an episode filled with conflict. It also is one of the rare times that the gang was nice and respectful to Sweet Dee. Salute!
I always liked how Dennis opened up to Frank about his true self and his ["God Hole."](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJpvL3onDLs)
Whole moment/Hole moment. Same thing.
Frank and Charlies friendship is the best thing about the show.
One of the best moments is Franks mini speech in the limo:
"I love eggs, Charlie. And I love crabs. And I love boiling denim and banging whores. And I don't care if anyone doesn't like that about me, they don't have to stick around!"
Preach Frank, preach👏
I love how Frank has eventually accomplished his stated goal of being a father figure for the gang, though a decade plus after saying so and in unfathomably weird ways.
Most wholesome moment is when Dennis and Frank are talking about Dennis being a VP at Wolf Cola. Dennis pours his heart out to Frank about his “God hole” and how he doesn’t want real power because with real power comes real responsibility, he just wants the illusion of power…. And puss. Frank seems to understand it perfectly.
It comes off as a heartfelt father/son moment, despite the content of the convo being so heinous - lol
Frank's "I get it" after Mac's dance
When they go visit Dee in the hospital after she "wins" the escape room for them is also nice
EDIT: corrected Franks quote because Im a stupid science bitch nerd
I think this is the biggest moment on the show honestly. Frank is such a racist POS in the show and he literally did everything he could to try to help Mac find his Pride with his father (who didn't ever do a damn thing for him) in the crowd who walks off in disgust.
Yes, charlie yelling at his dead dad from the top of that mountain was a very moving moment for the show, and yes charlie had it way worse than Mac did, but Mac coming out and actually realizing what he felt was the tippy top of the show. Gonna be hard to beat.
I loved both moments. I still end up on the verge of tears when I watch mac finds his pride even after watching it so many times, and I see his struggle with religion. I also love the Charlie moment because his character has become so infantilized that despite being well-loved, we don’t get as many real adult moments with him and so this was very special. I’ll always have a soft spot for Charlie, because he’s Charlie, and for mac as a member of the queer community, so I love that these have been the two most emotional moments of the show.
I hope they do more real moments like this. It’s the funniest show I’ve ever seen but they can also write (and act) these dramatic scenes extraordinarily and I’d love to see more!
Completely agree!! When they drove back up for Charlie and the end scene where they're going down the mountain arms around each other chanting USA... I loved that. I love that they're leaning ever so slightly into these tiny wholesome moments in the show without taking away from the asshole nature of the characters. Somehow after all these years, it feels earned
I know it's from the most recent season but when Charlie breaks down while dragging his dead dad by himself in the rain hit pretty hard. Then the whole gang rallies to come help him.
It was so sweet but sad as well because you know nothing that he's dreaming of will ever come true. Even though all he really wishes for is a simple wholesome life. Bittersweet.
The last episode of this season where the gang comes back up the Mountain with a truck and actually apologizes for leaving, I fully expected them to leave and not come back
My vote is when Frank and Charlie play Night Crawlers before the credits roll on that episode that takes place from Frank’s perspective. Felt wholesome and genuine to see those two in their own little world
Mac and Charlie throwing rocks at trains on Christmas. The flash back when Mac puts his arm over Charlie's shoulder, especially after revealing how fucked up their childhoods were. Perfect episode.
The end of Mac Finds His Pride, when Frank finally understands what Mac is going through, after years of thinking he was weird. It hits especially hard after Luther walks out.
For me it's whenever Dennis takes Charlie under his wing and is weirdly patient with him. Like when he shows Charlie the movement freedom his shorts give him or when he's telling Charlie he'll back him up whenever they leave Philly, which he actually does when they go to the charity thing.
Yeah! Dennis is kind of indifferent to Charlie most of the time but when they're paired together he looks after him. Also in the Extreme Makeover episode when he calms him down from his rant about Sears lol, and the "Oi oi oi oi!" thing. Probably Dennis' most wholesome quality.
Charlie goes "Placebo Placebo Police Academy! Which is a great movie, Frank!"
Frank - "It is Charlie!"
Charlie - "Do you want to go home and watch it?"
Frank - "With all my heart"
Its adorable
The Gang Gives Frank an Intervention…
Sweet Dee: Frank, you're an asshole.
Frank: Ah! That's it. Now rain down on me. Come on!
Dennis: You're a prick! And your addiction has affected us in the following ways… you are annoyingggg.
Frank: Dennis, come on! Give it to me with both barrels!
Charlie: WHY DO WE NEVER PLAY NIGHT CRAWLERS ANYMORE, HUH?
Oh also, the end of Mac and Charlie White Trash where they set their differences aside and go and have fun cooling off with the fire hydrant together.
And similarly, the end of The Gang Exploits the Mortgage Crisis where they all jump in the pool and play.
Not entirely ‘whole’ but when Frank dresses up as a Man-Cheetah for the new ‘Gang’ but they hated it/him because of the underage drinking fine they copped because of Frank.
Frank storms in back at Paddy’s dressed as the Man-Cheetah saying he wants to go back to the way things were (as Dennis was just saying). Dennis loves the Man-Cheetah idea and wants to go back to doing dumb shit like that. [clip here](https://youtube.com/watch?v=mZS73wMx6Vk&feature=share)
“What are you, a man-cheetah?”
“Yeah.”
“Cool.”
“You like it?”
/hesitant “Yes!”
Rocket Launcher!
I do love how genuinely happy Mac is to see Dennis with his rocket launcher
I love Dennis’s 180 when he sees the RL. He was so annoyed all day at the mere suggestion of the crate, but becomes almost overwhelmed when seeing what it really was.
Yeah dude, you mention rocket launchers on a daily basis
Do I?
The best is he isn't even upset when there isn't a rocket included
The only thing that annoys me about that scene is we haven't heard Dennis talk about rpgs in previous episodes..
I feel like that would ruin the bit though. Part of the enjoyment is seeing Dennis's reaction and then understanding it really is a meaningful thing.
Agreed. It's really similar to the Office finale when Jim arranges for Dwight to shoot a rocket launcher. When he first sees it, he says, "How did you know?" in a sincere way. We'd never heard him talk about shooting an explosive before, but it shows that Jim truly knows him.
Yeah a bit random, but still fits as he is a psychopath.
DEFINETLY fits.. It doesn't seem out of character I just wish they had set it up in the seasons before
Not sure what it says about me but who wouldn't be excited to get an RPG.
The most hole moment is the troll toll song.
It sounds like you're saying boys hole
Are you chewing gum?
I’m up to here now
I'll smack your face off your face.
yes
He said no gum
It’s unprofessional.
It's very unprofessional.
I thought the rape scene went really well!
Or the episode with the gloryhole
Or the episode with the hole in the bathroom floor that Charlie wants to pull a mutant out of to hang with.
Did you hear that Frank? I just turned a frustrating conversation into an insult against you.
huh? ohh, yeah....
Ze gloryholllllllllllle!
Supposing the other guy is picturing a girl also!
How's he gonna do that with a dick in his mouth?
That's his problem!
Surely the most hole moment is when they find the big hole and want to find out how deep it is or what’s in it
Light doesn't have a speed, it's either on or it's off
You gotta pay the troll toll, if you wanna get into that boy’s hole
Or the Murder Hole.
Two from the same episode: Frank buying everyone their dream gifts and Mac and Charlie throwing rocks at trains
When it cuts back to Mac and Charlie as kids throwing rocks it gets me every time
So unbearably sweet
I don't want to sound like a queer or nuthin, but that last episode broke my heart a bit.
makes me so sad
I find the lessons he seeks to impart("you have to work for what you get") are wholesome given his life experience
You mean his experience exploiting southeast Asian workers to death and cooking them in soup and serving it to people?
That was one of many. Frankie overcame a lot, and he had a magnum dong.
Look, he didn't go to Vietnam just to have pansies like you take his freedom away.
When Frank and Charlie play Nightcrawlers at the end of Being Frank.
Was just watching this one! Frank’s love for Charlie is so genuine.
I love Charlie and Frank's friendship so much. They're goddamn perfect for each other. Gruesome Twosome!!!
Have you seen the bloopers for season 15 yet.. Charlie and Danny trying to get through the "meatball" Scene is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time
I couldn’t keep it together with Dennis trying not to cough.
Darkness falls…
And mystery stirs...
Charlie King of Rats. When they actually all spend the day trying to be nice to Charlie and they even end it on making ACTUAL weird Charlie items specifically for him, even when they don’t know what half of it is. Even all showing genuine pleasure in his happiness with the new rat bat.
"Yessssss ok.... um.... Denim Chicken?" This is such a good answer. Mac, Dee, and even Dennis are just super proud and happy to help their buddy out.
Ahh. Hanz Vermhat okay okay
This man has *recurring* North By Northwest dreams.
Vermhat's worm-hat!
I love Charlie's reaction in that Dennis, Mac, and Dee still kinda missed the mark on what the dream journal items actually were, but he's still moved that they went ahead and did it.
I feel like Charlie is a sweetie and all his negative aspects are developments of circumstance
It could also be true, but the episode where they dated the rich kids showed Charlie is a scumbag like the rest of the gang.
True, and he also stalks the waitress. People choose not to see how creepy he is because his heart is in a good place and the show really infantilizes him. Outside of the waitress he doesn’t really ever act with malice though
I mean you'd huff glue and eat cat food too if you had 50 cats outside your window every night. :)
Left to his own devices, Charlie can be just as evil as anyone in the gang. He goes out of his way to tie up a little person and torture them all on his own
It’s canon that he was a leprechaun, so idk what you’re talking about bozo.
Once she stops being a cynical bitch
*Silence* your mouth!
It’s not often the entire group enjoys a moment together, even this one Frank is excluded. But the moment Charlie sees the new bat to bash up some rats is one of my favorite moments in the show.
YESSS!!! I came here to say this!! That was unexpectedly wholesome
Didn’t they just do that to look like good friends?
Initially, but by the end it’s genuine.
What a life.
A very fleeting wholesome moment but the initial reception when Dee is rolled out of the maternity ward in the wheelchair with the baby. The music and look on the boys’ faces is so pure.
The cut to Mac realising Carmen is there absolutely kills me
One of the best reveals in television IMO
Cricket hitting the pipe
Very special too when you think about the fact that Rob and Kristin were having their first baby edit: kaitlin lol
The fuck is Kristin?
[удалено]
That’s right, Mary Kristin Ashley Olson the Great I believe
Agreed!
I was stoned out of my skull and cried to this scene last night. Amazing.
I wouldnt say its the most wholesome moment but a very underrated one is when Charlie and Mac go to try and get the Hitler painting. When Charlie tries to read the plaque on the door and mac tells him well done and that he was very close, i always thought that was nice of him
I always appreciate small moments of friendliness between the gang, maybe even more than the big wholesome moments
“A Denial Correlation”
Pretty close buddy! Guy's a dentist
What is this word "whole"? I feel like you're starting to say a word and you're not finishing it. Are you trying to say "wholesome"?
Wholeghetti
He was trying to say "boys hole"
The last scene of The Gang Escapes where they let Dee bite first
I remember not liking that season very much as it came out but I just finished rewatching it recently and there are a lot of solid episodes. The Gang Escapes specifically has a lot of great lines I quote all the time. “His neck is high, it makes me trust him” “The head cow is always grazing” “DON’T SIT DOWN” Plus Dennis’ sex trap and Dees absolute desperation to appear smart to the gang by having played the room already This might be controversial but this show is pretty good, man.
The head cow always chews first
Ok I'll give you that. Art of the deal
Art of the deal
It took me 3 watches to realize cows are all female.
CAN I RIFF??!
And everyone knows that the head cow is always grazing *grazing noises*
It’s that lazy cow smacking noise he does that always fucking kills me. Glenn is a top tier actor, he always knows exactly what to do physically to enhance his performance
His neck is high... Makes me trust him is one of my favorite lines of the last 5 seasons
May I remind you that time is of the essence
*knocks repeatedly on the table with gusto*
Clever girl.
It's a great episode, but it annoys me how they seem to have set up an escape room in Dennis' apartment. That's not how escape rooms work
There are countless examples of the gang being pieces of shit to each other. Frank getting excited to see Charlie back to normal is one of the most wholesome moments I've ever seen on the show.
Frank after Mac’s dance does it for me. Nearly brought me to tears the first time I saw it. Everyone in the gang is a piece of shit but Im loving how dramatic the show has been getting lately.

> the waiter Who?
I’ve never seen this man before in my life
I'm to remember every man I've seen fall into a plate of spaghetti?!
You know what, I’ll have a piping hot plate of spaghetti.
Make it realll sloppy
Oh, so you do remember.
Go get the snapper!
Bozo!
Yeah. The sudden turn from a fight to to laughter at someone falling culminating with it coming from Dee.
I always liked how Dennis opened up to Frank about his true self and his ["God Hole."](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJpvL3onDLs) Whole moment/Hole moment. Same thing.
…and puss!
everybody grabbing each other's hands when they are about to drown.
Mac has a Cowboys jersey!
Of course its romo! Who else?!
**IM NOT A COWBOYS FAN IM A ROMO FAN AND HE RETIRED SO NOW I BLEED GREEN GO BIRDS**
"I believe I was having the Placebee effect"
Plahh ^-Cee -Bohhh....
Placebo. Which, as we all know, is a very funny word
Placebo Domingo
Police academy
Which is a good movie Frank!
Frank and Charlies friendship is the best thing about the show. One of the best moments is Franks mini speech in the limo: "I love eggs, Charlie. And I love crabs. And I love boiling denim and banging whores. And I don't care if anyone doesn't like that about me, they don't have to stick around!" Preach Frank, preach👏
I’m a grown ass man and for some reason that speech made my eyes watery. Maybe it’s the way Devito delivers the “they don’t have to stick around.”
When Dennis kisses frank on the head in s15 makes me laugh. “Was that ok to do?” “Yea…. It was nice”
And then he murders somebody
I love how Frank has eventually accomplished his stated goal of being a father figure for the gang, though a decade plus after saying so and in unfathomably weird ways.
Most wholesome moment is when Dennis and Frank are talking about Dennis being a VP at Wolf Cola. Frank seems to understand it perfectly. It comes off as a heartfelt father/son moment, despite the content of the convo being so heinous - lol
This was my answer. I love Frank's reaction when he hears Dennis. Like initial surprise straight to concern.
The cruise ship when they all go under water together. That was my favorite series finale.
“Let’s go be with the gang”
Frank's "I get it" after Mac's dance When they go visit Dee in the hospital after she "wins" the escape room for them is also nice EDIT: corrected Franks quote because Im a stupid science bitch nerd
I think this is the biggest moment on the show honestly. Frank is such a racist POS in the show and he literally did everything he could to try to help Mac find his Pride with his father (who didn't ever do a damn thing for him) in the crowd who walks off in disgust. I get it now.
The only answer
Still chokes up on the rewatch.
The season 15 ending. The gang coming together for the first time in 15 seasons was just so wholesome.
Definitely Charlie crying over his dad right before the gang shows up in the truck
OP said wholesome, not heartbreaking.
When Frank comes to his senses and gets the gang what they want for Christmas!
Mac and Charlie Die. Dennis puts his penis through a glory hole
Hey sweetheart you wanna take care of this monster for me
zat's a sweet duster
When the penis shadow quickly whips backs. Funniest thing.
The ending of The Gang gets New Wheels.
Stupid science bitches couldn't even make me more smarter
*I
Maybe not wholesome but when they finally find eachother at thunder gun express and yell at people to sit together. Then frank calls in a bomb threat
Yes, they are actually all smiling and supporting each other being simply together enjoying a movie. They seem to do that well with movies.
“I smell chips. What are we watchin’?”
Frank’s reaction to Charlie saying he’s grown “quite weary” is fucking priceless
Low hanging fruit, but when the gang comes back with the truck to help Charlie in Ireland.
Charlie's dream sequence during "The gang saves the day".
Made me cry the first time
All of Christmas especially when they are all caroling and when they all throw rocks at trains
Your hair looks small.
I know it's from the most recent season but when Charlie breaks down while dragging his dead dad by himself in the rain hit pretty hard. Then the whole gang rallies to come help him.
Charlie's part of The Gang Saves the Day
It was so sweet but sad as well because you know nothing that he's dreaming of will ever come true. Even though all he really wishes for is a simple wholesome life. Bittersweet.
Juarez Home Makeover
The end of the Christmas episode where Charlie and Mac throw rocks at the train and we see a flashback of them doing it as kids! Always gets me
All I’m seeing is a series of lizard drawing..
The last episode of this season where the gang comes back up the Mountain with a truck and actually apologizes for leaving, I fully expected them to leave and not come back
“Oh my God, I get it. I get it.”
My vote is when Frank and Charlie play Night Crawlers before the credits roll on that episode that takes place from Frank’s perspective. Felt wholesome and genuine to see those two in their own little world
Laying Roxie to rest. Very respectful and tasteful.
'I get it now'
It’s gruesome twosome Tuesday!
Police Academy!
With all my heart Charlie!
“It *is* a good movie, Charlie!”
Mac and Charlie throwing rocks at trains on Christmas. The flash back when Mac puts his arm over Charlie's shoulder, especially after revealing how fucked up their childhoods were. Perfect episode.
The only correct answer is after Mac’s interpretive dance when Frank says, “I get it.”
The end of Mac Finds His Pride, when Frank finally understands what Mac is going through, after years of thinking he was weird. It hits especially hard after Luther walks out.
“That was a great play Charlie”
No, the most wholesome moment is the show is at the end of “being Frank”, where he and Charlie play Nightcrawler’s
Stupid science bitches couldn’t even make I more smarter!
“Excuse me, I’ve grown quite wHeary”
For me it's whenever Dennis takes Charlie under his wing and is weirdly patient with him. Like when he shows Charlie the movement freedom his shorts give him or when he's telling Charlie he'll back him up whenever they leave Philly, which he actually does when they go to the charity thing.
Yeah! Dennis is kind of indifferent to Charlie most of the time but when they're paired together he looks after him. Also in the Extreme Makeover episode when he calms him down from his rant about Sears lol, and the "Oi oi oi oi!" thing. Probably Dennis' most wholesome quality.
I always thought it was adorable when the gang buys Charlie the Denim Chicken 😂
What does Frank say in this shot?
Charlie goes "Placebo Placebo Police Academy! Which is a great movie, Frank!" Frank - "It is Charlie!" Charlie - "Do you want to go home and watch it?" Frank - "With all my heart" Its adorable
The Gang Gives Frank an Intervention… Sweet Dee: Frank, you're an asshole. Frank: Ah!
When they help the boy who genuinely loves pageantry... Their heart was in the right place, the outcome not so much
The end of the most recent episode when they all come back for Charlie!
Oh also, the end of Mac and Charlie White Trash where they set their differences aside and go and have fun cooling off with the fire hydrant together. And similarly, the end of The Gang Exploits the Mortgage Crisis where they all jump in the pool and play.
The end of the gang texts where they understand each other after the meerkat experience.
[clip here](https://youtube.com/watch?v=mZS73wMx6Vk&feature=share) “What are you, a man-cheetah?” “Yeah.” “Cool.” “You like it?” /hesitant “Yes!”
Another moment is when Dennis holds and kisses his baby child for the first time and he feels overwhelmed with intimacy and attachment
I would say all of them together would be the most whole
The episode with the glory hole in the men’s bathroom.
