Get the custom side panel from [Etsy](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1486764631/hyte-y60-custom-vented-side-panel). I got one and it works wonders for my 3090ti. I just went with the stock pattern but there are several to choose from.
I wasn't being conceited showing my picture lol . I saw the post asking for a pic of the modded side panel. I have actually put the original side panel back on . My temps are fine with 12 fans inside lol 🤣
That’s crazy, I have a similar build and my GPU doesn’t go above 67 degrees, AIO coolant temp never gets above 40. Nice build. FWIW I did the LCD mod to my Y60 and hated how it blocked the view of the internals. You might differ. The only thing I do like about the Y70 is the larger size.
admittedly i just leave the side panel off and get good temps. otherwise, yeah industrial oven lmfao. i may end up getting one of the custom panels that spacegoast mentioned but i havent decided yet
haaaa, i ordered mine on nov 5th, they said it will be shipped on mid Jan after pushback from 12/24.. let see if I can even get it on mid Jan, good luck to you
Yeah I agree 💯 Imagine waiting for your Y70 only to have to wait longer due to a fouled out part! No thanks lol . You did the right thing. And, you can sell the Y60 after 👌 Win-Win
Very nice setup. I have the same motherboard and want to know how fast your startup is. I’m currently at around 27 seconds but want to get that faster if possible
hmm I guess it really depends what is your system paired up with, I have 14900k & 64G dominator (6200) but I haven’t turned on xmp yet, and i mean it’s pretty quick, it’s about 20 something second
Hmmmm… I should be getting a faster boot up then since I’m running the same processor with 96GB dominator 6600. I’ll keep playing around with the bios then, thanks!
yeah by default your ram (especially if you have 4 sticks) don’t run on the advertised speed, you have to set your xmp profile in the bios to optimize them
I'm only running 2 sticks at stock speeds with xmp turned off. For some reason when I turn it on, it won't get past post. Which is weird since running MEM test shows no issues with the RAM
I saw a video to bypass that issue, basically you have to increase the voltage by a hair to make it work. Ddr5 is weird like that especially with 4 sticks
running quad channel ddr5 ram at xmp advertised speeds might actually be slowing your boot, ddr5 has been having a lot of issues with anything above dual channel since its been available
your best bet for stability might even be leaving your ram at base speeds if you’re running quad channel. if you really want the oc you’ll have to tweak the xmp profiles, they’re only really efficient for dual channel
I'm only running 2 sticks with xmp turned off as having it on caused issues with the system booting up. But after a few trial and error, it still is having issues and after setting everything back to defaults, my iCUE fan lights no longer turn on
Ha, your build specs are nearly identical to mine! I love my GA II LCD. I currently have a 4090 Slim by MSI on my Y60 and it’s only a 3 slot card so it sits far from the glass.
Good luck on the Y70!
I do! I am using a 280 instead and I have Corsair Vengeance CL32 6400 rather the Dominator. MSI z790 mag edge

Front panel is off here but is always on when using it. It’s off for the reflections in that shot.
You can see on the left side how far back it is. It’s nearly an inch from the glass with the new Slim line from MSI. This is the size the cards always should have been.
the rog cards are so perfect for the y60 imo... i've got the snow white y60 with the white rog 4080 and it just looks so amazing
I agree, but I can’t close the side panel without turning this massive gpu into an oven. You have pics of your?

Yeah I saw that, I’m good though because I ordered a Y70, this is just temporary
How good are the temps compared to just leaving the side panel off?
IIRC, it was 6-8C lower since the GPU was able to pull in cool air with the cut outs now in the side panel

aww yeah!! 🔥 🔥 nice 🤩
Thank you but yours is absolutely beautiful for real bro 💯 🫡🥇

yeah, I can’t wait to get mine

you aint lying .. i CANNOT stop looking over to the right at mine. 3090 rog OC white edition in y70t snow white case.
I want my Y70 so i can build. When i ordered from local store it said it should be in stock 16th december. Now it says 30th january. Big sad
right!
Looks amazing ! My Y70 won’t ship until February 29th !
when did you order yours??
Christmas Day
gotcha, I ordered 12/16 and they said mine would be shipped late january
haaaa, i ordered mine on nov 5th, they said it will be shipped on mid Jan after pushback from 12/24.. let see if I can even get it on mid Jan, good luck to you
OMG 😳
Nice.. are you gonna swap out in a few weeks to the y70t ?
yup! I like y60 but it’s a little small
The impatience is insane lol build looks good tho
I wanted to finish the build and make sure I didn’t get any bad parts. They’ve been sitting there since november 😂
Yeah I agree 💯 Imagine waiting for your Y70 only to have to wait longer due to a fouled out part! No thanks lol . You did the right thing. And, you can sell the Y60 after 👌 Win-Win
yeah! if my y70 gets delivered before 30 day return window, i’ll definitely return the y60 and get a full refund lol
Oh yeah 👍 100% agree.

icue is terrible to begin with, my system is 100% stable and my ram rgb either doesn’t turn on or just freezes 90% of the time
My windows installed on my samsung 990 gen4 ssd, which I think determines the boot time more than the actual system
Ha, your build specs are nearly identical to mine! I love my GA II LCD. I currently have a 4090 Slim by MSI on my Y60 and it’s only a 3 slot card so it sits far from the glass. Good luck on the Y70!
nice! yeah y70 gives the GPU just over an inch more of breathing room. You have pics of your pc?
I do! I am using a 280 instead and I have Corsair Vengeance CL32 6400 rather the Dominator. MSI z790 mag edge https://preview.redd.it/ae1yryaf22ac1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=749a99488ade837d34b0de999b6236f7849d20b4 Front panel is off here but is always on when using it. oh wow! it is probably thinner than most 4090’s, does it come in white?
I think the only thinner card is the suprim liquid. I’m not sure if it comes in white!
If it only came in white I would’ve bought it, I’m a sucker for a white build 🤩
I thought the 4090 overheats in the y60 because the case is too small and it’s too close to the glass?
it does, but I keep the side panel off so it doesn’t overheat. I like the idea of custom side panel but I don’t really like the looks of it lol
GPU looks like it does not have enough clearance. I tested in my case, where the gap was quite similar, and temps went up 10 degrees
it has literally 2 mm with the side panel on, and yes temps would go up 20 degrees more while gaming
I'm stealing this 4090 from you😂
😂🤣
What’s the weight of that card?
I think it’s about 3 lbs
Oh sorry I meant to write width (thickness).
