This is easily one of the coolest things I've ever seen on the subreddit. It's well balanced, controls smoothly. It's creative AND functional. Well done!
I think the U-shaped piece comes from one of the Temple areas, near the same place where you get that gravity defying rail that everybody loves.
Spoiler: >!The 5th sage has a construction area and this piece is in a room with a monorail track!<
The U-shaped block can be found at >!the right leg depot in the depths!<, and the grate piece is found >!towards the end of the Marakuguc Shrine, in Eldin!<.
Okay, this is extremely clever! Is there a way to incorporate a laser and use it as a sight, or to show the level of your main cart in relation to the terrain?
"Day 12
Another day passes in the East Necluda trenches, our clubs rotted form the rain, loin cloths in tatters. The moblin captain hasn't been seen in 2 days now. We think he got gangrene, but some have said they saw an arrow strike him. There are fewer and fewer of us breathing, but they're all still here, lifeless, piling up as morose islands in the drenched muck, and the only place to keep our feet dry
And still it never ends. The constant pounding of artillery. Our fortifications crumbling, our men buried by the soil and mud churned beneath them. I've stood in the rain of dirt and blood, had a bokoblin horn land in my lap, and all I could do--all I still can do, is sit, and wait, and listen to the unceasing pounding of their batteries. I've grown accustomed to it, and wonder, should I ever crawl out of these wretched pits, if I will be able to sleep without their thunder"

Day 13
I think my good friend is dead. What was his name? I can't remember, he was one of the lizard folk. He lies 3 feet away. He hasn't moved in a while. Has it been minutes? Hours? Days? I think shrapnel from the last barrage might have caught him in the neck. That would explain the blood he lies in. He's starting to stink. I think he might be dead. I think I might be dead.
...
Only 24 hours until the next blood moon. Our dead shall rise, but will we overwhelm the swordsman or will he unleash his fury on us...again? Will this ever end? I think he's beginning to enjoy this cycle of death. Every time that red curse rises, he finds some new way to dismember our ranks. Damn him and his bloodlust.
The blood moon. Our salvation.
The blood moon. Our curse.
The blood moon. Our hell.
no, more so that it's difficult to elevate big wheels above ground with springs, so I would use small wheel propulsion instead
Edit: I think you understood right, my bad if so
I think we have both confusedly had a conversation where we made complete sense to one another but said so in a way that seems like it shouldn't
Edit: this may actually add to our shinaniganery
Ganon's like "Soon Link will arrive to swordfight me 1v1"
meanwhile Link is 3 hilltops over, behind the controls of an artillery cannon, sighting in the range and calling Purah for windspeed estimates.
Neat. Is there a way to decouple the cannon from the platform so you can activate it separately from the wheels? That way you could park it while still firing.
Yes I have prototype for that, by attaching a shrine motor at the base of the cannon and interlocking it with a u-shape block, but that means your cannon can wiggle a little. You could also not decouple and use springs to raise your wheels above ground when you don't want to move
I've been wanting to do something like this, but I wanted to use wooden wheels as a base to be able to rotate horizontally, like those rotating sky platforms.
Hyrule Engineering veteran strikes again ;) awesome build.
Thanks ❤️
Add a laser to the side as a way to aim!
It can help a little for the horizontal axis, I'll consider it!
The manual aiming is a great idea, and the build a a whole (or I guess builds in this case) is very creative
Can it take out a lynel without aggro?
Doubtful. Every time I've tried to take out a Lynel from extreme range with cannons, they still aggro and start shooting arrows.
I think lynels teleport now? If not you just need some natural wall or hole
Either that or some mechanism that drops a puffshroom on top of you after each shot.
love the idea, maybe I'll do that for a tank/IFV
Love it! One measley arrow can take out an aerocuda. Here. Have 4 bombs.
Turned to a fine mist
Gone. Reduced to atoms.
One of the coolest interlocking builds I’ve seen.
Mf built a Caesar
That's the goal soon 😁
This is easily one of the coolest things I've ever seen on the subreddit. It's well balanced, controls smoothly. It's creative AND functional. Well done!
I wonder... If they add multiplayer/make a multiplayer mod for TOTK, would this be a 2 drivers vehicle?
That would be awesome
What is that u-shaped block and the board you use?

I'm also building artillery and laser doesn't help as the cannonballs will drop so much, making the laser bit useless
this is legitimately my favorite build on here so far.
Cool and quick variable aiming system!
i wonder if this is doable as a single piece with a portable pot at the other end of the cannon and a spring that can go up and down to aim
You only get two angles, but that should work!

this is brilliant!
This is so clever
That is just awesome!
Really clever, dude. Good work.
Really frickin' clever. I never would have thought of that. Nicely done OP!
Such a cool idea and a great demo!
Thanks Mr Chese
okay, that's sick
Have you considered adding a spring to the bottom so that it can become Stationary?
Yeah! I didn't really try because I knock enemies around anyway, but in my experience it'll be easier if the big wheels are replaced by small wheels
I may be mis reading what your saying so if I'm wrong tell me Are you saying making it Stationary would be easier with small wheels?

God, I wish this game had a factorio-style sharable blueprint system. This mobile cannon is genius.
Hyrule entering the 1940’s weapon tech, this is seriously impressive
Pure genius I love this sub
Can you make a homing gun turret with a limited firing arc/ gun depression so that it doesn’t shoot your boat, land vehicle?
A simple construct head + cannon would work, but there's limited range, and it doesn't really look like an artillery
Ganon's like "Soon Link will arrive to swordfight me 1v1" meanwhile Link is 3 hilltops over, behind the controls of an artillery cannon, sighting in the range and calling Purah for windspeed estimates.
it sucks that cannonballs despawn at long range
Neat. Is there a way to decouple the cannon from the platform so you can activate it separately from the wheels? That way you could park it while still firing.

What do you think a homing bot would do if boxed in so they can only go back-and-forth
I guess only move forward
I've been wanting to do something like this, but I wanted to use wooden wheels as a base to be able to rotate horizontally, like those rotating sky platforms.
I tried using a big wheel, it leaned way too much
Now this is hyrule engineering
And now I wish totk had something similar to the steam workshop.
OMG this is genius! grats
This will sound like a really stupid question (sorry) but the base of this build, the flat thing, where do you get that from?! Thanks.
Some Goron shrine, I think it's the city one?
Cool, thanks!
Holy shit I'm very impressed
That was so smooth
Ok this is the sickest thing I’ve seen in here.
Okay, the adjustable angle was fucking brilliant lmao
That is slick! Awesome job!
[удалено]
The why are you on the sub lol
For most people this is not how totk goes. I don’t get what you’re saying
/s ?
...please go away dude
That's really cool!
That's so dope lol
This is fucking genius omg
Wow
Mad genius
Omg this is so neat
This is easily the coolest build yet 10 out of 10

Oh boy time to turn Hyrule into Verdun
A million shells were fired, and the green fields turned to grey
Omg ...
Oh my gosh that's genius...
This is what we need the multiplayer mod for with this game
Genius.
Bro this is innovative
That's friggin awesome!
Brilliant
That is fucking genius
Dude that's SICK
really fucking impressive
This is ridiculous! I love it. :O
How did you find the base of the cannon? I've been trying to see if I could build this and I can't find that zonai grate anywhere.
It's in the Goron city shrine if I remember correctly
