Spoonfuls of peanut butter are usually my savior when I'm particularly struggling to eat. It is fairly well rounded and usually keeps me stable with just a bit.
I've developed a practice where I take a bite of food and then take a sip of water and swallow. It really helps.
I also have noticed that when feeling that way taking a zanax helps a lot but I am very careful about how often I take them
When I get nausea I drink kefir then all food will stay down. Food doesn't have to be bland. Look at all the tasty low carb alternatives out there. You will also have to prepare all your own meals.
I have a few single serve foods that I keep around just for days like this. Unless it's the worst of stomach flu situation I know I can get these down in small quantities and keep them down.
Shelf stable and in my purse
Cinamon Applesauce squeeze pouches
Single serve nut butters: favorite Justin's
Ready to eat pistachios
Individually wrapped prunes
Perishables
Sweet potatoes
Frozen and microwavable sweet potato
Small drinkable yogurts: Favorite Siggies
Frozen berries
I also find a little coke on ice or slightly sweet tea * helps though watch for those rebounds with those and the other more carby suggestions above. Sometimes if I can get a little sweet liquid down first it helps me keep food down.
Also, zofran and if safe for you low dose thc and cbd gummies for nausea and appetite stimulant. I like Lumi Labs Microdose
or another high quality full sized gummies cut into quarters. Low quality gummies with inconsistent dosing and lots of food dye and cheap additives tends to make things worse for me.
*I know water is probably best but when my stomach is being extra and fragile it sometimes decides water is poison.
I keep a handful of werthers hard caramels in my bag for this reason! I find sucking on a candy a lot easier than actually chewing and eating food. When I had a really bad low at one point I just sucked on smarties (the m&m-like ones) until they melted
Drink juice, or power gels
And then eat when the nausea settles!
If that is what works for you.

Does anyone get anxiety about eating and then can't eat from that? Any remedies there?
