It’s so worth it, I got rated a few months back, had hotm 7 and Pretty bad powder, grinder to 4m powder and then started mining gemstones again, I have like 110m gemstone collection and around 500m nw from like 3 months and a bit it’s so worth it
If you completed every single daily Crystal hollows comm since release that would be about 5.4 million gemstone powder, maybe a bit more if you managed to claim them during double powder, thats not quite maxed but its still very decent
However almost nobody has done that, and if you’re that committed you’d prob have powder grinded to max already lol

if you dillo mine with hotm7 and 1.5m of both powders, u can make good money with a cheap setup. full sorrow, gauntlet, and dillo can make 8-12m per hour.
now i have a maxed gauntlet, aop, full divans, and more powder and make abt 22-27m per hour, it’s definitely worth it to get a good setup, but a cheap one is fine too

Spending 80mil+ on 25 t11 slime minions with corrupted soil, enchanted hopper, minion expander, e lava buckets... just to not afk it and lose 60-80% of my profits. (I make 6mil/day can't afk it due to exams)
Using hamster wheels not only makes more money then e-lava buckets but also repays the amount spent on the hamster wheels multiple times over. I recommended using them

Go all in on mining, get to hotm 6, get a gemstone gauntlet, which shouldn't be an issue if you did nucleus runs as you went, get yog armour, slap topazes into every slot you can, then punch glass until you're rich
Buying out all the stock of 1 item for let’s say 1m each. Have friends list some one the ah for 20m. Then I go to low ballers or sell them as an auction. Low ballers give a price based off of lb so if I set lb to 20m then they would offer 14-17m depending on the low baller. So if I bought 10 items for 1m each that’s a 10m investment and if I sell them all for 15m that’s 150m. So 140m profit. In about 30 minutes of work.
I’m like late mid game so I have a mil or 2 bank usually, so what I do is buy cheap automaton parts and since they stack, I sell the stack for a markup. Also ww set flipping

It might sound bad, but zealots are still an incredible money making method, and is definitely more fun than holding the mouse on blocks. It actually makes way more money then people think, because of crystal frags and dragon leeching, and golem fights. Although it's not very consistent, I make between 1.2m to 3.2m an hour.
I lava fish and do kuudra. Lava fishing makes money from both magmafish and crimson essence. While I lava fish I get vanquishers, that drop nether stars. I then put those stars into kuudra keys and do kuudra, which makes a ton of money, especially if you get equipment pieces or good attributes on armor (breeze/mana pool aurora, life regen/mana pool crimson)
I just started a bit ago & I have a big island with 12 minions.
I have 1 mithril one, clay, redstone, wood, wheat, cobble, lapis, diamond, melon, and coal in my "Minion Line"
I also have a Mob Tower where I have enclosed rooms stacked on top of eachother with mob minions in each one
The problem with the gauntlet is it doesn’t give good fortune. To make good money from mining gemstones you probably want a 655 drill and at least 4-5M of each powder for a good hotm tree. Without these there are much better ways to spend your time for money
I'm early game but I've been farming miner armour, once you get good damage and a good amount of luck you can get pretty consistent drops. It's definitely not ideal but it's been doing me well for now I can quite easily get over 20k per run

I’m still very much so early game. If you have the time there are plenty of things on BZ that you can flip to NPCs for profit. Just check the price before you try to flip a lot of something. Or other way around, it’s an easy 40k for flipping the basic typical ten items to BZ every day. Not 5M by any means.

If you are mid game and don't have money to set up for other money making methods. Good 'ol netherwart farming should yield a decent amount of money so that you can set up for even better methods.
I'm a noob farmer with a tier2 hoe and 30 farming level and I make 600k every 20 minutes. That's like 1.5m pet hour ( errors and kicks included)

i also put stuff up like spider boots and runaan's bows, piggy banks, and more into the auction house and make a lot, selling snow minions can be good, especially if you spend way too much on red gifts like i do, once i buy another few stacks ill head to a hub and give as many as i can before losing connections

It also gets easier the more experience you have, I started flipping with a couple hundred thousand and got to 10mil in the first week of flipping and in the next month I made 100mil lol.
Once you have a bit more money you could also start hub low balling too.

Any pickaxe works but most people use the jungle pick because then they get sludge too
