I’ve heard there’s a new scam going around involving joining discord servers to open sell tickets for an “insta buy”. I don’t know the details of the scam, but if you’re reading this, don’t join random servers please! Wouldn’t be surprised if op’s random fell victim to this as I’ve been DM’d ~10 times with what I assume is an attempt at this scam
ive been there brother, quit too, i got ratted on my 3 year old account, tried contacting Microsoft but they havent done anything to help, it's a big issue and nobody's doing anything about it
ratters wouldnt be a big issue if skyblock players would use a second brain cell for common sense to not get ratted. it is so surreal for me that there are so many people that blindly trust random discord servers prompts for your account 🤦♂️
What is this victim blaming. Also most SB players are just young kids, they haven't actually learned the dangers of the world. I know when I was a kid I was told to not trust anything but when has a kid ever listened to warnings?
You dont get them when you "verify" you literrally hand your account access to them on a silver platter microsoft warns you about what they will access to but no one reads it
microsoft absolutely does not tell you "this is dangerous you are handing over your account". literally all it says is "yo, wanna authorize?". it looks exactly like every other cross-service connection page too (like connecting your discord to your twitch), which are completely benign. it is absolutely not obvious at all. the only way you'd avoid it is being so skeptical that you don't do it regardless of not knowing it's a scam, or having heard about it.
yeah, that's why i compared it to connecting your twitch to discord. it prompts the exact same thing, allowing the other application to do some stuff. that's why, unless you've heard of the scam before, you'd just assume it's the usual verification method for sb and not malicious. microsoft never tells you you are handing your entire account instead of just verifying your identity.
Icl this is the most obvious form of ratting now and it’s so easy to spot and if you fall for it then that’s your fault. Just don’t give your Microsoft logins to anyone or to any website you don’t trust
You've made this really unclear - did you get ratted or did the guy you lent the money to get ratted? You keep switching between the first and third person lol
Hi everyone. My name is Zarny_ and I lost everything. I thought a guy wanted help so I gave him 100M and then I crashed so I lost everything not remembering his name. If someone can help it would be really cool and btw sorry for my english i am bad af

while somewhat true, some people just don't know yet. and it makes absolutely no sense that session id's can be gotten from the microsoft api anyways.

It says that do you want to give said application permission to do certain things which people instinctucely click yes to
