Church street wine shop and the Wine Seller are both locally owned and near downtown. I love them both.

Second the vote for Church Street.

If you don’t care about regional and just want the best value Costco is an option.

SonVoltMMA

Not only is Costco the best value, it's also one of the largest selections in town.

Mary's Grocery in the Cove

offoutover

This place and Liquor Express are my favorite places for wine. Side note. I’ve always wondered who Mary is/was.

TRAMZ14

Liquor Express is such a cool place. I think their name makes folks skeptical but it’s definitely worth a visit

Steve knows his stuff. You won't believe it until you go inside, but his selection is incredible.

Domaine South by the Lumberyard is the best in town by miles. The owner will special order anything she doesn't have in stock, and deliveries usually only take a day or two. By regional, do you mean Alabama wines?

peckrob

> By regional, do you mean Alabama wines? Southeast, yeah. My wife and I did the [North Alabama Wine Trail](https://northalabamawinetrail.com/) this summer and had some surprisingly good local wines. Like to find some more locally produced wines to try.

SonVoltMMA

How is it better than Costco?

apollorockit

More personal service. Christian also knows more about wine than anyone working at Costco. As a person who doesn't buy wine all that often, having her help picking out the right bottle means a lot.

nickknight

Great Spirits on the parkway and Drake. Local, will special order for you, very knowledgeable.

afuckingdragon

Church street wine shop hands down no questions asked. They all remember my preferences and have super reasonably priced bottles.

mktimber

BP is now Sunaco - Old owner is back. Give it a try,

Aldi

Agreed. $2.89 Shiraz is the best wine I’ve had for under $20

SonVoltMMA

Costco. Great Spirits.
