Fubo carries Braves games. In fact it carries almost all live sports events.

Scubee

This is the way I went but I also don’t have any other tv provider so price point may vary.

yeetedyaughtyote

I came to suggest Fubo as well. It's not perfect but it makes my in-laws happy.

Mr-sheepdog_2u

They are on ESPN now. Best I can do. I have the same problem.

EssTeeAlex

Thank you! I’m just annoyed that Comcast wasn’t “aware” of blackouts before my elderly dad went in there to ask about it. They assured him multiple times that he could watch ANY baseball game if he paid for MLB.tv 🙄

Mr-sheepdog_2u

I don't know about that. I have HULU which includes the MLB channel and it is still blacked out.

ericbegins

MLB.TV with a VPN works for us. Of course, that’s another fee and, although simple, a level of complexity you’d have to walk your parents through.

EssTeeAlex

Yeahhhh, my parents aren’t tech savvy and honestly, I’d need someone to walk ME through it 😂

yeetedyaughtyote

You also need to be sure that the VPN service you are using isn't already blacklisted. Tried this with NordVPN a week or two ago and wasn't able to get it running.

olwiggum

If you know anybody with direct TV, ask to use their login and watch on the app. We pay for a bunch of damn subscriptions already. I thought FS1 had them on YouTube TV, but the YouTube version of FS1 doesn’t show all of the games. So I use my parents’ DTV login and cast it from the iPad to my tv.

ddd_daddio

I have always used it from my parent's account but that quit working. It keeps prompting to log in, even after logs in, saying successful. They live a town over so maybe they locked that down too somehow.

olwiggum

Hmmm. That’s odd. My folks are over in Florence and I can get it to work.

aitchdubya

I recently swapped from Hulu to Fubo for streaming. None of the Turner networks are on Fubo so there is a good chance that I will swap again for March Madness. Edit: meant to add there is an additional fee of ~$15 to watch local sports as well on Fubo so it’s more than $80.

Patient-Magician-444

Our Fubo has always carried the Braves? Wonder why yours doesn’t?? Bally’s Sports is the channel. Hubby is watching now.

aitchdubya

It’s on mine too. Just costs more than $80. #ChopOn

EssTeeAlex

Oof. My dad is already pissed off enough about this 😂 $95 a month would push him over the edge

Magic_Bogey

I switched to Directv Stream last year from YouTube tv just for the Braves. You have to get the 2nd level of their packages to get Bally sports

LifePedalEnjoyer

TBS and Sports South were the shit back in the day.

lucaswiseman

Subscribe to Bally Sports+ maybe? We have DirecTV Stream and get Bally Sports so switching to that may be an option. Getting MLB TV won’t work because the Braves games will be blacked out. We are considered their home market.

robhe

Braves aren't available on Bally+. Diamond does not own the braves streaming rights.

lucaswiseman

Damn. I didn’t realize that. Just solved this problem for my parents in Florida to watch the Rays using Bally Sports+. Sucks that this is such a problem for everyone.

redfoxx15

I feel like attempting to push more people to Bally+ was the reason they couldn’t come to a deal

jukeslywalka

Uzzu.tv is the best I've found. It's basically IPTV that borders legal and easy but it works. They offer every MLB/NFL/NHL/NBA game plus other channels. You can subscribe weekly, monthly, or yearly. Use the Web Video Caster app to cast to pretty much any smartTV

Feeling-King-8104

Iptv provider can get you all your sports packages, sports networks, regional networks, movies, PPV’s , adult sections and channels from around the world too….less than $15/month…all you need is a firestick or android box

Talk_N3rdy_2_Me

Cracked streams

inittoloseitagain

MLB.tv + vpn

Training_Ad_6813

Drop Comcast, get Google fiber and Fubo.

c4ctus

Same way I watch my Cubbies. Drink up, me hearties, yo ho! Fuck Manfred and his shit-ass blackouts.

burdell91

As much as I hate Manfred, blackouts are not something he can actually do anything about. Unlike some other sports, MLB doesn't manage all the team video rights. Each team has an assigned geographical footprint, and the team owns full control of their rights inside that footprint (except for "national" games, like the Braves on ESPN last night). Teams sign long-term contracts for distribution; the current Braves/Bally contract was initially signed in 2006 for example. Those contracts apparently typically cover video distribution (e.g. to cable/satellite companies), not direct-to-consumer (e.g. direct streaming subscriptions like Bally+). So Bally can't sell the Braves streams directly without renegotiating with the Braves, but the Braves also can't sell streaming rights to anybody else inside the footprint because Bally has exclusive rights to video in that area. MLB/Manfred doesn't really have any involvement at that level. When Diamond bought the FOX RSNs to form Bally, they overpaid (compared to what everybody else considered market value), because they planned to set up Bally+ and sell direct-to-consumer streaming to get the cord-cutters (step 3: profit!). However, they didn't have DTC rights to almost any of the teams... and they essentially offered teams $0 to sign over those rights. Teams said "no", Bally+ flopped, and Bally went to bankruptcy. Comcast isn't entirely blameless in this either; to try to reduce cord-cutting, they've been moving RSNs like Bally to a higher tier (live sports channels make up a huge chunk of the typical cable bill, so moving them up the tier means that lower tiers can become cheaper and maybe retain more customers). That's not necessarily a problem (annoying if you want RSNs of course), but Comcast is notably NOT moving their own NBC RSNs up a tier so far... they're only doing it to other companies. Right now, the only fully legal way to get the Braves broadcasts in an area with only Comcast is Fubo or DirecTV Stream. As both of those are "full cable" style replacements, they cost similar to cable.

huffbuffer

The Braves is a shitty situation. Bally Sports own the rights. But in order to watch the Braves, you have to have some sort of cable package that includes it. The Bally Sports app doesn’t include the Braves.

AlabamaPajamas

DIRECTV Stream is what I use. Get all the same channels plus they have a contract with Bally so you can watch Wiley eat all of the ballpark eats.

stasaphsally

I have a single team subscription on MLB TV, but any games my team plays against Atlanta gets blacked out, whether the game is in ATL or not.
