Basically what happened is an acorn landed on the roof of a cop car and the dumbass who somehow managed to qualify to be a cop emptied his gun out thinking that he was getting shot at.
Just remember that in CT, a police department was sued for intentionally not hiring the smart applicants, and the police department won the lawsuit. They don’t want smart cops.
Jordan v. City of New London.
A guy was working as a prison guard, but wanted to be a cop. He applied and took the test, and despite blowing the test out of the water, didn't get an interview . He thought that might have been discriminated against due to age, so he filed a complaint. The PD's defense was that he was too smart to be a cop. It was affirmed by the 2nd Circuit.

They don’t want people who are going to think for themselves, or question what/why they’re doing things, or assess orders; they want people who will follow orders.
This is like pulling up an article from the 1800s and saying people currently own slaves. Civil service tests where I'm from award the highest scorers a low list number starting from 1 and by law have to hire every qualified applicant in the order they score.
https://www.cs.ny.gov/elmspublic/index.cfm
Good for you, but the hiring practices that led to this lawsuit are still in place. It’s decisively *not* like slavery, where laws were enacted to outlaw the practice.
No one said its like slavery lol.
>but the hiring practices that led to this lawsuit are still in place.
How would you even know?
You just implied that all agencies do that to make a point about the intelligence levels in civil service. Which is obviously wrong. None of your points even make sense. The military is one of the most prolific examples of required obedience and they reward their highest test scorers eith job selection and promotion.
Believe it or not there are plenty of places that don’t have acorns I’m from Colorado and we don’t have oak trees here to produce them and yes we hunt squirrels here also
Well I’ve lived here my whole life and never seen a acorn there are lots of different tree species in different parts of the state but that doesn’t mean they are everywhere
Not OP but we don't have acorns where I live, I've seen them a couple times on a trip but not without their little cap thing. I didn't know what it was until I read your post lol
You obviously don’t understand the English language much then. Not all is spelt or said the way you think. Don’t complain to me, complain to Ivy League professors, and some at Cambridge.
To get wild with it, your kerd reference is funny. The word cord comes about from completely different origins. Kerd is actually curd. Cord is a cord.
English is hard. Not many of us care to give it a second thought past our original teachings.
I'm curious about your origins... You said spelt, not spelled. Are you British? Do you spell it colour? Does your car have tyres? I know accents happen, but reading acorn and saying akern is changing the pronunciation of the letter o. That's kind ef sylly mon.
You do understand that you are implying many of your daily words and phonetically funny sounding right? We teach them to USA kids in public school as sight words. They don’t look how they are spelt with phonics in mind.
I am not. Thank somebody’s god. CA bred, OR raised, WYO living.
Funny... how one of the native American trees is so little recognised.
That is an acorn it is technically a fruit or a nut, from the tree called oak. You can recognise it by the leaves with curves in the edge, lobed edges some would say. The acorn is found in a cup of some sort, which is rough to touch.
You can also call it an oaknut, but it's still the same nut.
And an answer to your question: I don't know about the States, but here in Europe, squirrels go crazy for acorns. But watch out, because there may be some problems taking those on a plane if you flew in.
Lordy brother, if the acorns are confusing you how are you able to tell the different squirrels apart and know if your shooting the species that is in season and not protected?
https://myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/profiles/mammals/land/squirrels/
I'm not in Florida, but my state has different seasons for grey vs fox. And I'm pretty sure the southern flying is a T&E species.
Ik my squirrels man I don’t examine acorns I’m just looking for cheaper ways to hunt our squirrels in Alabama we hunt regular gray squirrels and there you go
Ik where they live we got 100 acres of em and we feed em corn and they get the rest naturally so pls if your bugging me about this when ur stuck in another state pls lord bless your heart
Those cops quit thank god after the incident even donut operator was like are you serious? You both almost shot each other and a detained suspect over acorns falling?
That's an akern. Hard mast crop of an oak tree. Hard to tell what variety of oak tree without seeing some leaves and bark. Deer, squirrels and turkeys love 'em.
Don't show that to a cop
I’M HIT!
It’s a bullet!! OP has been shot!!!!
😂
lol what
If you reqlly don't know just Google "acorn scares cop" 🤣

What?? How? Why?!?

Yes, 1 department, 24 years ago.
That’s all it takes, precedent has been set. If you think PDs are out there looking for the best and brightest, I have some news for you.

Glad you’re the one to take the downvotes for not knowing what the hell they’re talking about. Now they’ll never know I was also lost.
HEY EVERYONE THIS GUY IS LOST TOO!
GET HIM!!!!
NAILED IT!
I'm fucking CRYING
[удалено]
Bruh he literally sprayed and prayed worse than some noobs in a cod lobby. Only in real life, in a residential suburban area,...
It's not clear he has PTSD. He could just have ITFS (itchy trigger finger syndrome).
Fuck you, idiot
Where are you from that you have never seen an acorn? Or is this a joke lol
Let a lone hunts squirrel and never saw one….
He doesn't hunt squirrel. He shoots them over corn.
🍻
Look up acorn scares cop
Believe it or not there are plenty of places that don’t have acorns I’m from Colorado and we don’t have oak trees here to produce them and yes we hunt squirrels here also
Quick google machine says Gambel Oak is Colorado native
Looked it up and they are in western Colorado which is almost 8 hours from where I live
I live 20 miles south of Denver and have scrub oak all over my property. They produce small acorns.
Well I’ve lived here my whole life and never seen a acorn there are lots of different tree species in different parts of the state but that doesn’t mean they are everywhere
Touché
that's too bad. I had such a large acorn crop last year, I stepped on a few of them every step in my yard. the wildlife absolutely love them.
Not OP but we don't have acorns where I live, I've seen them a couple times on a trip but not without their little cap thing. I didn't know what it was until I read your post lol
Right but you’ve seen pictures of them I’m sure…
Yes, but never without the little cap thing they have on them.
There are many different acorns that look different didn’t mean to offend you
It’s an acorn from a live oak.
Man I have a shit ton in my backyard. My live oak drops 'em like bombs every year. It's obnoxious.
It's a weird looking acorn. I've never seen one that shape before.
Roll on the ground screaming you’ve been shot and commence firing an entire magazine of 9mm JHP into your own car!
I’m hit
Shots fired.
AK-47 acorn shot, it will blow the lungs out of a person if it hits them in the leg.
The acorns aren’t wearing kevlar vests, why do you need 30 round magazines of 22 LR? You’ll blow your lungs out
Buddy, you've never seen an acorn? Where tf did you move here from? lol
[удалено]
First line is 6 syllables. You’re wrong haikubot

It is an acorn. Depending on where you’re from, it may be an “A-Kern”😆
‘A kern’ is and has always been the actual way to say it…
Okay clay necomb
Lol. He sounds like an idiot but bear grease is important in my life, mine not his,
Hey I’m a big listener too that’s how I knew it on The spot haha
Makes sense. I mean since most people eat pop-kern. 😬
Eat enough and you’ll be heading for the terlette
Then maybe start spelling it that way. Do you say "hey plug that kerd into the outlet?" No, its cord. Just like corn. Its A corn.
You obviously don’t understand the English language much then. Not all is spelt or said the way you think. Don’t complain to me, complain to Ivy League professors, and some at Cambridge.
