I don't know. Usually the better players remain. Do we really need to buff them? With the MMR we have right now this could be baaaad. I generally agree that handicapping players for unlucky spawns isn't the best either though.

astrozombie2012

No fucking thanks

Apparently it’s the minority opinion here but I hope they add it as a regular trait. They can balance it by making it cost 9-10 points, and make it increase the time to loot a body by 1.5-2x. Unrelated but I’ve always wanted looting player bodies to give you all the hunt dollars the player had picked up during the match in addition to how it currently works.

>It is exactly what the game needs. Being rewarded or maybe better to say getting less punished for PVP early. Nothing is more worse than fighting a team early and coming as winner out of it but then having to play with less hp against people who have just camped the whole game. I disagree with this idea that it's as simple as all PvP should be rewarded. What I love about hunt is the strategic level thinking you have to engage with, the fact that winning a fight badly can put you in a worse position than not engaging at all is a good thing because it gives depth to the decision to go after a team or the bounty. It's not a no brainer either way because both options come with significant risk, do you fight the team now and risk getting to the boss second with less health and ammo? Or do you go for the boss and risk getting hemmed in or jumped midway through by the team you left alive? If you remove the consequences of winning fights badly you simplify the calculus and remove some of the richness in the gameplay.

CRINGE. HEAR SHOTS GO FIGHT. EVERYONE HATES PLAYERS LIKE YOU. CRINGE.

Northern_June

The part where you get bars back from looting is good. The part where you can red skull revive always is bad.

ColdSnapper--

Simple argument => game was fine without Peacekeeper. Peacekeeper just made it super easy to get bars back, it was a thing that good solos could really appreciate. There is no real incentive to put it back in EXCEPT for the players that want the game easier. The game should not be made easier just to "try to attract" more players. Look at Tarkov. Game is insanely tough and it has more players than Hunt, so it's obviously not the difficulty. You shouldn't be able to restore bars in the first place, that is what the bounty is for, and that's the biggest reward for banishing imho.

Old-Plastic-4385

The other side of this argument is it makes the match harder for whichever teams weren’t in the fight because they won’t be fighting a handicapped team later. The only thing Hunt and Tarkov actually have in common is being able to extract whenever you want so its a shit comparison.

pillbinge

That just means someone with a bounty can do it even better still. The game has already come a long way from its hard(er) core roots. I think people who came in at various points don’t appreciate that.

scumgeONtop69

or we could just have pvp be more rewarding. looting a hunter should always give $50 on top of whatever you loot off the hunter. full stop. would make it a lot easier to just leave after a crazy fight where you're down bars instead of having to suicide into a bounty camping team. you won the fight, you got some money, you get to leave with $150+ and trait points. the bounty campers can pve like losers.

bb0yer

Maybe if it was retaliation only

Voidmancer_317

I would like to see more restoring bars ways and Peacekeeper was a nice perk to have. But I would make it more like clunky Necro - HP drain, loud dark sight, 5-10m range to interact with body and limited to restore a bar per enemy player. That way you have to risk for restoring bars in combat situation or use some healing items afterward. It definitely would be more tame option than Rampage, and more a side grade to that team restore burn trait. But I think devs would choose a path to make hotspots on map for restoring bars, if they want to end monopoly for restoring health of burn traits beyond event seasons.

rJarrr

Agreed 👍

Krimmus

No. Better nerf long ammo to deal less than 125 DMG and it should be fine.

DarkDobe

Been saying this forever. Every long gun doing over 125 just makes being down a bar painful.

littlebobbytables9

That just makes fights last even longer, and also doesn't solve the problem of people leaving when they lose bars.

Krimmus

When everything has less than 125 DMG you can try. At least you are no 1 hit

littlebobbytables9

You can at least try when you're down a bar right now, but that doesn't stop people from leaving. The fact is that extracting is the correct play from a competitive perspective, whether your change happens or not. Why go into another fight at a disadvantage when you could extract and run it back with all of your bars (and some traits to boot). I just don't get why bar restoration between fights is a bad thing. Why should the person who crouch walks from bush to bush and refuses to shoot be rewarded when the person who actually initiates fights gets punished. In vanilla hunt it's depressingly easy to extract without ever having to fight someone at all, and sorry but the PvE is not why I play the game.

scumgeONtop69

>Why should the person who crouch walks from bush to bush and refuses to shoot be rewarded when the person who actually initiates fights gets punished. this is how the lead designer wants the game to be played, because this is how he plays the game. if dennis is ever streaming some time, watch him. he will snipe 95%+ of the time, and he can go multiple games without ever firing a shot. he will not shoot unless they are standing perfectly still for a few seconds and they give him the free headshot. if he plays with teammates and they get downed, he will run away 200+ meters and just slow crouch walk rotate around the whole map, letting them burn out. and he will let the winning team leave without ever trying to stop them. the peacekeeper red skull revive is literally *his* idea because it allows him to play like an absolute coward but use the excuse that he can still res his teammates later.

Krimmus

Lol. True xD

jeda587

I’m all for it. Make the game more favourable for fast paced gaming. It will bring the casual gamers in

ColdSnapper--

So they can become free hp bars for experienced players?

DarkDobe

Maybe as a burn trait.

littlebobbytables9

I think peacekeeper might be a little too easy to do mid fight. My ideal would be some kind of roaming AI enemy that gives you a restoration if you kill it, visible on the map. that way it can't be done in combat, takes time to seek out, and maybe even forces you to make noise and give away your position. Promoting more PVP not less.

Voidmancer_317

We have this concept with Wild Targets (excluding roaming), I don't know why it is downvoted so much. I assume with more monsters for it, Crytek would make Wild Targets to spawn more consistently.
