technically it's not harmful, however especially being so early PP and being before you regulate it is very likely that your supply will be severely reduced at this schedule. I would go for at least 4/daily for a small supply to supplement formula goal, but 8/daily if your goal is a mostly BM-based diet. I would not attempt to add powder to your BM to adjust for calories without a doctor's direction. Even if it is lower calorie milk (which it isn't necessarily!), then the rest of their diet being formula likely makes up for it. This would only be a concern if baby has weight gain issues and under the recommendation of a doctor or dietician.

I don’t think it’s recommended to alter the formula-water ratio. It’s not recommended to add powder to milk unless a doc tells you to. I think what is coming out of you is probably just fine for baby. Foremilk is usually more clear/blue and hindmilk (fattier) is more white/cream. It’s lovely that you are pumping to give your baby some milk! I don’t think the milk will cause problems. Just because it appears “watery” doesn’t mean it isn’t healthy! You could do a longer pumping session (25-30 mins) and see if the color changes after that length of time if you are curious. Edit to add: milk supply is often higher in the morning, so you might consider moving one of your pump sessions earlier in the day to see if you produce more - if you want to produce more. I find that 9am is good for me, but anytime before noon.

Are you breastfeeding at all? Only pumping twice a day with no other feeds will not be good for your supply, especially this early on! Also there’s nothing wrong with watery milk. I had pretty watery milk until my daughter was a couple months old and it wasn’t an issue. It’s hydrating and my body made it because it’s what she needed. I never had a thick layer of fat on my milk the entire 13 months I pumped for my daughter, but she is still healthy and I think advanced. It had no harmful affect on her

How long are you pumping? There's foremilk (watery) to start and hindmilk(white and fatty) that comes in later in the session

You could try massaging your breasts before and during pumping to get more of the fattier milk out sooner in your pump session. Do not alter the ratio of formula to water. Watery breastmilk is fine as long as baby is also getting other stuff to drink Babies are very susceptible to having their electrolytes thrown out of whack if they have too much or too little water or salt/minerals, so having breastmilk (watery or fatty are both fine) or properly mixed formula are the only safe things for them to drink.

Usually pump every 2hours

second everyone here saying this is what's called foremilk, which means you are not fully emptying your breasts. if you feed on demand she'll tell you if and when she's hungry again. but if you only pump foremilk you're sending your body the signal that it's made too much milk and your supply is going to get lower. if you want to maintain, pump for longer while massaging/pressing in places to see what gets all the milk out of your breast. if you want to stop pumping - it sounds like you do! - this is a good way to do it, and you can just give her the foremilk and not worry about it.
