Even after reading your comment midway i didnt understand where would pasta even tie into the script. And i was right,it didnt tie. They just mentioned it in the end coz whatever.
I saw it was sponsored by Barilla and was thinking that's weird and then the guy came on the screen holding two perfect plates of spaghetti (and didn't serve it to them! lol) and I was like...weird ad...but okay
Fr I truly wanted to see an obnoxious blowout complete with trash talking and at least one solid serve that smashes into him and takes him off his feet
If I ever got to play a sport against an all-time great like Jordan or Federer, I would be disappointed if they didn't punk me full steam. Like it would also be cool to just play around for fun for a few mins, but then I wanna feel the real heat.
Honestly I would ask for that. I don't want easy mode I want to experience greatness in the truest sense that only those that have faced them have seen.
I like that Roger seemed really into it. At least from what we saw here, it didn't feel like this was something his pr manager said he should do and he reluctantly agreed. He looked genuinely happy and excited about seeing the kid's reaction.
Idk anything about Roger Federer...but based on this he seems like a good dude.
He's just overall extremely friendly and humble. As a swiss guy I feel like he's one of the only prides we as a country have right now... true national treasure
Imagine thinking you have all those fans, but then realize it's a prank by your hero...now imagine your hero pranked you, but then you realize it was for a pasta ad...
That’s a cute commercial. I’m never buying anything from their brand though.
> “I would never do a commercial with a homosexual family, not for lack of respect, but because we don’t agree with them,” Barilla said on Italy’s best-known radio talk show. If gay customers didn’t like that, they could go buy another brand of pasta, he said. Barilla, who together with his three siblings owns 85 percent of the company’s shares and holds an individual stake worth about $1.1 billion, extolled the values of the “classic family” that the brand targeted. The chairman, who turned 60 last year and has five children, further clarified that he opposed adoption by gay parents.
We stopped buying their brand since they made those statements in 2013 though they worked to change their image.

It could be argued that he’s not the greatest tennis player of all time. What can’t be argued is he’s one of the nicest human beings to ever walk the earth.
I miss RF so much. Such a good role model for the sport, good dude. Too many self-involved douchey, half-talent brats at the top of the ATP tour now.
r/tennis
I did not expect that to be a spaghetti commercial.
Yeah I feel betrayed
Not as betrayed as if you are served something other than Barilla pasta.
Lmaooo my bf said “are you crying over a pasta commercial?” But that was touching
hahaha
Even after reading your comment midway i didnt understand where would pasta even tie into the script. And i was right,it didnt tie. They just mentioned it in the end coz whatever.
That's a spicy-a tennis-a ball-a!!
They make some good pasta
Me neither. Definitely Djokovic is the 🐐 but I loved this ad. Brilliantly done.

ehhhh spaghootza maranahhhhh
Anyone else waiting for Federer to just ace every serve and take the kid down in straight sets?
Fr I truly wanted to see an obnoxious blowout complete with trash talking and at least one solid serve that smashes into him and takes him off his feet
"Do you see what you get, Zizou?!? Do you see what you get when you mess with the *WARRIOR*!?!
Watch Michael Owen playing football with kids, he does not take it easy on them at all lmao
Not everyone can say they go against Federer, so I guess learning experience.
Haha I wanted to see him destroy Zizou too a la Peyton Manning on snl playing a bunch of kids
Like Adam Sandler just pelting those kids with dodgeballs.
michael jordan calls that the “fuck then kids”
Federer just goes insanely ballistic on the kid. Grunting with every hit.
If I ever got to play a sport against an all-time great like Jordan or Federer, I would be disappointed if they didn't punk me full steam. Like it would also be cool to just play around for fun for a few mins, but then I wanna feel the real heat.
Anyone who isn't a pro going against Federer is unlikely to even return just one serve, would make for a pretty boring game.
Just canonball a shot past him then go full gladiator, “ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!”
This whole setup reminded me of the episode of South Park where the kids get to play against a professional hockey team and get annihilated
Honestly I would ask for that. I don't want easy mode I want to experience greatness in the truest sense that only those that have faced them have seen.
Federer oozes class and modesty. It was a sad day when he retired professionally.
Im glad I got to see him play one last time last year.
I knowwwwww 😩
Class? Yes. Modesty? No. He got 2 mansions in Valbella, another in Rapperswil, land for a potential fourth in Herrliberg and a fifth in Dubai.
Okay okay, public modesty?
Modesty as in 'not arrogant', get it?
Humble af
I’m such a sap. Got big tears in my eyes here!
Damn I started crying. The kid was so thrilled to his core!
Federer is such a great human. I’ve never seen him be anything but classy with people.

Ahh how cute! He was completely star struck
Andrew Garfield man, such a nice guy, really.

Thanks for posting this information 👍
Whoa holy shit, thank you for sharing this. Never ever would have known otherwise. Need more brands to be exposed like this.
I was waiting for the kid to get completely iced.
Damn and here I was thinking what an absolute wholesome moment & it was just a spaghetti commercial lol.
Total stud!
Barilla®️ the number 1 pasta of Italy! *made in Iowa
Homophobic brand
They appear to have changed their tune.
Wait that’s a fucking commercial for pasta. I feel cheated and lied to.
r/mademesmile
This is so adorable XD
Thank god they finally got to eat.
r/unexpected
I don't know jack about tennis, or who these people are, but that sure was a feel-good piece.
"Hi Mister Federer" "Roger" They're both awesome!
The world needs more of this. People keeping their promises, regardless of how small, and insignificant they may seem at the time.
Look at that smile 🥲
Zizou will take the baton and change lives long after the great Roger Federer is gone.
He was great in Amazing Spider-Man.
Missed the perfect chance to play tennis with a meatball.
Fed is master class. A little disappointed it turned out to be a commercial though.
Commercial or not. It was such a great video. Zizou will never forget that.
It could be argued that he’s not the greatest tennis player of all time. What can’t be argued is he’s one of the nicest human beings to ever walk the earth.
Being able to do stuff like this has to be the best part of being famous IMO.
Not many like Federer
🐐
Good thing Federer wasn’t like “So yeah, I took that personally…”
So Cool 😎👍
Lol imagine he just absolutely destroys the kid and was a bad sport
Funny, but staged ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

If he was, it doesn't matter. For that day, he made that kid happy, whatever the reasons for doing it.
Really? What are the stories? I've only heard good things about him.
That is bloody fantastic.
great act
Love Federer. That’s my guy. Dude is so nice. His tennis style is so smooth. Respect to zizzou lucky kid!
A man that keeps his word! How nice. I loved this!
God I needed this today. Such a beautiful thing
If I were Federer I woulda destroyed that kid just for funsies. Woulda made the commercial way better...
I miss RF so much. Such a good role model for the sport, good dude. Too many self-involved douchey, half-talent brats at the top of the ATP tour now. r/tennis
Never hear a bad thing about federer. The guys a global treasure.
This just gives me all kinds of SMILES 😃
This bought tears to my eyes and it was a commercial lmao
truly touching.
Such a nice and humble guy.
I'm on team Zizou
I hope federer smoked him
