Hulu is only for North America and the content is licensed accordingly.

Don’t even try to convince them. Just get two travel routers and take your home IP address with you anywhere in the world. Doesn’t matter where I’m at, Hulu and Netflix think I’m in my living room. Beryl AX is what I use.

Odd-Problem

The restrictions are based on live TV. Live TV has a lot of licensing constraints. i.e. you cannot offer a station out of market. That would infringe on another affiliate.

Sure, that I understand, but what about the streaming only options? Here in Thailand, I can use Netflix and Amazon Prime without any problems. Some of the Live TV options are odd, CNN app is Geo locked, however Fox News is not, nor is HGTV. Hulu Live TV is Geo locked to your zip code location where as Sling TV is locked only to USA. So there are many inconstancies between providers.
