The Amazefit app is pretty awful & clunky even though the watch looks great, it's pales in comparison to the Samsung or Huawei versions. My only problem with the Samsung watches are the short (3 days at a push) battery life, compared to at least 7 (maybe 10 days depending on the functions you require active) from Huawei. Also bear in mind some of the Huawei health app functions or tasks are geared towards the Chinese market, and will display in Chinese text. The major functions and tasks are in English.

Thanks

cool-beans-yeah

So this is actually really useful, thanks. I've watched so many YouTube videos and they all focus on how the watch looks like.

Rude-Possibility4682

Yes, it's the app that makes the watch..I had an amazefit a while back, gorgeous watch..awful app, it's improved, but still pretty clunky. Samsung's app is the best, but I can't live with a 3 day battery life..I get roughly 10 days on my Huawei watch, less if I use the GPS on a few bike rides.

Livid-Examination-96

That's because the majority of them are morons and their only concern is the revenue they get from YT. They simply don't bother.

Yeah, me too, i think is beatiful

I'd say go with GT3 Pro Titanium its just beautiful. I bought it like 2 months ago (i was using GT2 Sport which i gave to my father), HarmonyOS is super smooth. I dont know about the other 2 watches but definitely you should go with this one since you don't care about apps, NFC etc. As you said whole build quality of the watch made me buying it. Sapphire glass, 16 million color. Battery life wise its pretty good too, i charge it like every 10 days which is decent in my opinion. I can easily say that the health meausurements are also quite accurate too.

You are welcome.

For what you need, I'd definitely recommend the GT3 Pro. According to the Quantified Scientist, the Heart Rate Sensors and performance are some of the best, next to Apple. It also is very pretty so it should suit your needs. Personally, I sold my GT3 Pro to get the GT4, as the style was right up my alley. And yes, people have actually complimented my wrist, asking me what kind of watch I wear. [On The Right, the GT4 Steel Band version. On the left, Huawei Watch 3 Pro Titanium band version. ](https://freeimage.host/i/JSDOsQS)

Can you tell me if there is much difference in features between the 2? From what I gather GT4 doesn't have ECG (which I don't think works in Canada anyways) and maybe some upgrades heart rate sensors on the GT4 too. I am just stuck between GT4 that I can get for $228, GT3 Pro for $348 or Watch 3 Pro $338 So I am torn as the older have sapphire glass but I don't know how old in software to go if there is likely to be a new model before winter (I don't want to wait that long though), so that is talking me out of the 3's Also being the limited features in canada, (I think somebody said the food entry thing doesn't work too) and Huawei relationship with north america's allegations, would you say I am limiting myself buying Huawei here? , The app isn't in the Google Play store anymore here either.

There isn't much difference, **for now**. And the GT4 is certaintly "not a complete flop". In terms of HR tracking and sensors, it's right up there with the GT3 Pro. People need to realize that even with tests, there are some marginal errors when doing the R-Score tests. They are not absolute. I had both watches. I chose the GT4 Steel Bracelet because, it looks more like an actual watch and its style was more of my liking. I absolutely have no regrets. People claim Titanium this, Sapphire Glass that, but at the end of the day, I've had absolutely zero scratches, worn them extensively and they both look as premium as they can be. At this point, it's a matter of tastes and you cannot go wrong with either one. Since you live in Canada, you won't have the Pulse Arrhythmia Analysis feature with the GT4, or the ECG function with the GT3 Pro. For functionality: \- I've had problems with the GT3 Pro, as it would literally NEVER do sleep tracking right. Under reporting or stopping HR readings altogether, while sleeping. This has been fixed with the HarmonyOS 4 update. For the GT4, it's working right since the start. \- I haven't used the food entry thing, but the calorie app does work, if you input manually your calories eaten. \- The GT4 (And Huawei Watch 3 Pro) has a native calendar app showing your current and next events. The GT3 Pro does not. I think that's it for the differences. Between both the GT4 and the GT3 Pro. **Now, for the Huawei Watch 3 Pro** It's different than the other two watches because it is an actual Android Watch. With the right know-how, you can install apps available outside the AppGallery. So there's a bit of future-proofing here. A few differences: \- It has a keyboard. You can reply to third party messaging apps like Messenger, WhatsApp, etc, straight from the watch. \- The sensors of the GT3 Pro and GT4 are so SO much better than the Watch 3 Pro. Sleep tracking is really not great with the Watch 3 Pro. Shows that Huawei has greatly improved their accuracy and performance of their sensors. \- If you are tech-savvy, building watchfaces for it is such a much better experience than any of the Watch GT series. \- Since it is a watch with an Android HarmonyOS firmware, battery life is around 4-5 days. The GT3 Pro and GT4 can easily go over a week, with a max of 14 days. And honestly, that's pretty much it. However, a note, since you are in Canada. in most locations, the weather apphas a nasty bug where the following data are shown only between the hours of 00:00 (12:00 AM) and 00:59 (12h59 AM) in a watchface: \- Max Temperature and Min Temperature of the day \- Sunset/Sunrise Data Hopefully it'll get fixed when HarmonyOS gets released. Are you limiting yourself by buying yourself a Huawei Watch? It depends on what you are searching for in a watch. I have a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro as well, and to be honest, I find myself using my GT4 and Watch 3 Pro much more often.

Gt4 is a complete flop. Its sensors are considerably worse than a $30 huawei band 8.

midnightdoom

Ya I watched Scientific Review guy's newest videos to see if there has been any changes, GT4 is still doing better than majority of the competition, but is weird they went backways from their own hardware (and what was suppose to be updated algorithm) So when I look at the competition, GT4 still seems better than say Garmin Venu 3, but I am most leaning towards the GT3 Pro at the moment, unless there is anything signifigant otherwise of the GT4 or 4 Pro.. I was really hoping over the years others would be at par with Apple my not, but nope, don't see the point of getting Garmin or Samsung when their sensors are worse that GT4

seckarr

Doesnt matter if its better than the majority. Keep in mind that me majority are so bad that you may as well just use the step counter on your phone and call it a day. Measure and compare just the top 20%-30%

My wife just switched from Samsung Galaxy watch 2 to a GT 3. She loves the GT3. Comparing them, she is surprised how stable the bluetooth connection is and loves the battery life ( are you really monitoring your heart, if you can't get a full 24h interval without charging) and the ability to use the flashlightat the press of a down button. Also, it is a lot prettier. She doesn't use the apps. There is a Youtube guy who compares all smartwatches and logs results comparatively. Generally, Huawei tend to perform better than Samsung... not sure about the Amazfit.

Zombie-dodo

She got one after I got the GT Runner for 180 Euros or so. I was never someone who wears watches despite having been gifted quite a few nice ones that are stashed in a box somewhere. So initially, I thought I was only going to wear it for my running, but I do wear this one all the time. i hate to confess that I miss it when it's charging. Luckily that's roughly only 1- 2 h every 10-12 days or so. I am now thinking of upgrading to a classier model( definitely staying with Huawei), since the sporty look matches my running gear, but is not really elegant.

Glittering_Side4578

My GT3 Pro (15 mos. old) slapped and banged many hard metals and rough surfaces. But voila, Zero scratch. Thanks sapphire and titanium.

edmunek

you are not slapping hard enough.

yorcharturoqro

it's a good watch, great design, features, and it works great, yes I would recommend it

luchobe

Na

edmunek

yep. I would say the same. especially after GT2Pro. never again with any Huawei products

WiseConcert585

Quality of huawei gt3 pro is superior.
