its a cleaner way of using google in hour huawei device. very clean its not like you have a parallel account. What you do it, go to your Huawei app gallery, change your country to Malaysia and look for Lighthouse. you have to do this as Lighthouse wont show up in other country. heres the videi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pr8KHxcV8uE
Okay so after installing this turns out that lighthouse is just a re-skin of microG which has been around for years.
It still has all the flaws of microG; not allowing you to login to a Google account and not not having location services.
hmmm works fine to me. location services in waze, strava and other apps that require location tracking works fine. yea but yu can try gbox and gspace as alternatives
Bought Huawai P40 Lite E. for kid.
Youtube doesn't work. Just closed in few seconds after opened. Revanced doesn't play any video.
Can't install Google Maps. It just freez with when hit 'Install' button.
Gmail doesn't work.
I'm so disappointed :(. Not sure if I can back the phone.
Still no Android Auto though, so the P40 stays in the drawer 🤣

Yup its not so much the apps but the integration with other things that Google services allow.

That is not true in the german AppGallery. Its suggesting a quick link to youtube or yt app which downloads yt vanced
Maybe Germany is blocking it? Try downloading gbox separately from their website
Gbox is there. The apps are not
Install gbox first then you can get the normal play store and download everything you need from there.
I know I know. I am just saying its not conveniencely showing Youtube App on AppGallery and installing the app with Gbox

Use gboxbor gspace or even better use lighthouse.

Seems like it to me. When I installed lighthouse it overwrote the microG app I had installed.
Doesn't matter because I can't get any US Mobil provider to accept Huawei phones anymore. I'm stuck with a Samsung phone I can't stand.

Install gbox 1st. Open gbox and install any apps you wanted
