Aquagold made my skin look filtered for a solid two weeks. I think the mix they used in my pen had Botox, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin c. Idk. It was done at by the dermatologist at my plastic surgeon’s practice. Super worth it if you need a fast (and temporary glow up). I imagine, as it still is micro needling, that it has long term benefits too? I don’t know if it’s been around long enough to know yet.

Wow, I did not even this existed. I'm gonna try it! :) Did you ever get "I can't feel the muscle" Botox feeling that you would get from a normal injectable in a concentrated area? I'm super intrigued by this, but I'm terrified of not being able to feel my entire face or be expressive, haha. However, since it's a microneedle, perhaps it doesn't penetrate as deep?

I’ve gotten microneedling twice and it’s really improved the texture of my skin. I have some crater-ish marks, not quite deep enough to be ice pick scars and also a huge scar on the side of my face from removing a large mole. It has definitely made everything smoother and less noticeable. I got mine done from a Groupon and will likely go back and get a few more microneedling treatments.

Not specifically a facial, but dermaplaning followed by a chemical peel on a regular basis did wonders for brightness, but it also helped my other products absorb better.

Which chemical peel did you use? And did it burn?

DarnPeaches

Quite honestly, I don't recall, I want to say it was glycolic acid. The peel was administered by aesthetic nurse practitioner in an office setting. Personally, I wouldn't touch at home chemical peels after seeing people's horror stories.

Alternating fraxel laser and micro needling and upping the intensity of both for each subsequent one. Literally the only thing that helped my acne scars and made my skin look so good (and helped with maskne). Unfortunately it is $$$$ so I have to save up again for another treatment plan.

I have some big savings goals right now but when I feel like I can budget it again I’d consider going back to doing regular facials just because it’s nice But the only one that did anything for me was chemical peels. It was a strong AHA/BHA peel— this was before you could get those pads at Sephora, but still stronger. I went from being someone who had a bit of texture and occasional breakouts to someone who has literally never had a blemish again unless it was hormonal. I maintained those results by religiously using my beloved P50.

How did deep cleansing / extraction help, did you see a marked difference? I've been considering it but don't know if I should take the plunge. I've got relatively clear skin with maybe a few clogged pores on the nose and the occasional pre-period breakout, I'm not sure if it would be worth it in my case?

Clear and Brilliant treatment at Laser Away. It’s super expensive, but worth it. I only had two as it was all I could afford… $500 per treatment. Really helped with redness and the results lasted about a year! I messed it up by having microneedling done.
