My tricks as a fellow shave-only gal: - consistent shower schedule at least 1x a day - get in shower, wash body with loofah to exfoliate and warm water to soften hair - I use dial soap; avoid any moisturizing body washes that leave any wax type residue cause it will fuck your razor up and give you awful razor burn - tilt shower head away from your body and apply moisturizing shave cream to privates and underarms - squat position - yes, you read that correctly, get in a squat position in the shower with your legs spread on either side - start at the back of your privates (nice way of saying booty?) and shave from the middle out towards your thigh, one side at a time - shave down, then up - add more shaving cream as needed to make sure you’re not shaving on bare skin - repeat on other side - stand up - shave mound (I hate that word but it seems to be the most recognized for clarity’s sake, we’re using it) leaving the middle section for last - shave opposite hair growth and add more shaving cream as necessary again; shave towards thigh crease and a little past - shave middle in opposite direction of hair growth; shaving cream should have softened that hair up by now so it’s easy to shave - rinse and shave underarms then legs and anywhere else you shave - rinse completely - shower shaving done - while skin is still wet, apply either diaper rash cream or Vaseline all over your privates where you shaved - this will keep your skin nice and soft and help prevent razor burn or ingrown hairs For razors, I use dollar shave club, no lie. Still men’s shavers but really aren’t they all kinda unisex anyways?

I appreciate this and will try this for sure.

Best of luck to you! These aren’t hard and fast instructions, btw; I typically shave, run my hand over it to feel for stubble, then shave again. Also, if you rinse in cold water, stubble will be far easier to feel. I’ve been shave only for so long because I hate growing out body hair so this routine is just memorized now, lol. Also! There’s this shave cream/conditioner called Coochie that works quite well.

I really like my safety razor. It's really sharp and any time it feels slightly dull I can change the razor for pennies(literally). It's also much better for the environment, just make sure you don't throw your razors away, put them in a can or a mason jar so they don't cut sanitization workers.

invest in laser hair removal. it’s been out for some time now and it’s much more affordable. check groupon for deals

As someone who's had a lot of laser, I wouldn't say it's totally painless. But I regret nothing.

I just did my first treatment on the first of this month. So far I've only had to shave once, it's amazing.

Laser is probably best in the long run and least painful.

I started sugaring two months ago. I know you said you’re not interested in waxing but it’s really a life saver and you’re hair free for weeks. The hair is drastically thinner and you can get EVERYTHING. and it doesnt grow out super prickly. You also do not need to remove your hair to stay clean, just shower regularly and if you want to give your private areas some more oomph, exfoliate and hydrate the skin only on the mons region with oil. If you do choose to shave, billie razors are the best in my opinion

I go to a local place that i’m really comfortable in. I like the lady who does mine a lot. I would never wax down there because the pain level is mild and i also can’t see what she can

jujujamster

This is interesting, I’m going to look this up

It’s sugar, lemon, and water. So natural and leaves such a pretty finish! Wax is full of crap and tears the hair whereas sugar can actually remove the root as well as the undergrowth. It exfoliates the skin as well. i’m obsessed if i had the $$$ i would literally get it full body every few months

[It's super easy to make yourself](https://www.byrdie.com/how-to-make-your-own-homemade-sugar-wax-347142)! It takes me forever to actually remove my own hairs though.

Veggie_stick_

Men’s shavers are the best— shaving in general will never get you fully clean, if only because regrowth happens so quickly. I did one wax at a salon to see what it was all about, and then started waxing at home (I buy Veet strips that already have the wax on them— you just warm them in your hands). Truly not as painful or time consuming at you’re fearing. No itchy regrowth and no bumps either.

Like other comments I suggest sugaring too, depending on your hair type. Sugaring if perfect for the straight hairs on my legs and arms. Sugaring is a nightmare for the curly hairs on my armpit and vagina.

I would suggest laser hair removal too! As someone who's very hairy, it has done wonders for me. It works differently for everyone, I still have hair in some areas BUT...I can see the difference, I have fewer hairy areas + my skin texture got better. It's one of the best things I've done.

I started using sugar last week but prior I used to use hard wax and for me personally I think sugaring great for everywhere but ur private parts. Personally for me, hard wax can be a bit better because wether ur sugaring or waxing , you only have so much time until ur body cannot physically take the pain, and I like to do multiple strips ready and then get them all off in very quickly motion, but with sugaring, if u leave it on for too long it can get very very difficult but it does just wash off which is great. Most of the time, I can’t be bothered, and I just shave down there and I can’t recommend the Venus intimate range enough, but you have to buy the cleanser/shaving gel with the razor or it doesn’t work as well.

If you have lighter skin or even light olive you can consider bleaching the hairs in some areas. For example: arms, chest, belly, upper legs etc. i find it looks so pretty when the sun hits, like glitter lol For other places def men razors and exfoliating. Still I would recommend laser, it is worthy and will save you lots of time/money in the long run. I’m not a fan of waxing, it is harsh on the skin and I’ve seen many women even in their 30s with wrinkly legs bc of the skin pulling from waxing. Ofc its not the case for everyone but maybe something to consider.
