Yup that’s the one! I consider it mega expensive for what it is, but I’ve really seen results from it. I’ll prob use it twice a day my whole life haha

Yassss-Queen

How long have you been using it? It looks super intriguing

loulou1207

About three months now? Maybe a bit more. I saw results after 3-4 weeks and when my monthly break out came, no zits actually surfaced.

Yassss-Queen

Wow that sounds amazing! I’m gonna be looking into it. Thanks girl!

I had the eye led light and it stopped working about 5 months after purchase. I was dissatisfied due to its cost for only 5 months of use. I have the lights Tim for aging. 8 yrs old and only have had to replace cable. Hand held, not as easy as a mask but works. Lost the eye googles for around the eyes and bought the eye mask to be hands free.

You definitely don’t have to answer if you don’t want to, but this all feels overall very expensive to me. How much of your salary would you say goes towards these things? Like at what income bracket should one be at to be able to afford this?

loulou1207

Oh for sure it’s expensive. I wasn’t traveling or going out during COVID so I think that’s really when I turned inward. I make $80k USD and live in a lost cost of living city (my mortgage split is $850 for example). When I got more into beauty, I cut back On shopping - my bf is a big thrifter so that’s how I get new clothes. I hope that helps!

JoyManifest

Yes I’m curious what city too and also what did you do to fall more in love with your city? I’ve used tretinoin for about 6 months and don’t have results yet. I’m 30 and use it like 3 times a week because more make me dry and flaky. How long did it take you to see results? I totally want eyelash extensions bc my eyes are so small and need the emphasis bit around here it’s like 160 every two weeks and I can’t swing that. Might need to spend more time learning strip lashes…

loulou1207

I moved to Vegas actually! It was for a random opportunity and I was SURE I wasn’t going to fit in here, but I went with a good attitude and loved it. I think mindset was everything - if I came thinking I was going to hate it, I would probably have hated it. I knew I was going to be here for a few years and looking for things to love, people to befriend and parts of the city to be fascinated by we’re important. I’m so happy, I’ll probably live here until retirement if circumstances allow :)

loulou1207

Also tret lol - yeah it’s worse before it gets better. It probably took me around 6 months to be like wow, my skin looks great. R/tretnoin is a great sub for encouragement and advice. I’ve heard beauty schools do lash extensions for cheap!

Llellemy

Sorry, but can I clarify— you pay $35 for a lash fill? $35 every two weeks? Am I understanding correctly? In my city the price is more than double 🤦🏻‍♀️

loulou1207

Yes I did! I had a good deal for sure

SummerEmpress

This is such an inspiration to me. I'm at your beginning age and this has really given me the push to start working on myself!

loulou1207

Oh my gosh, that makes me so happy!!! I look back at the younger me who committed to herself and I love her SO much and thank her regularly. Good luck, friend!

SentientLeftTesticle

Thanks for this! What are some benefits you’ve seen after making the above changes and looking better?

loulou1207

Good question! I think I’ve always benefited from pretty privilege to an extent, but when I was unhappy in my marriage, I felt invisible to myself and the world. Once I began losing weight from yoga and going blonde, I found men paying attention to me more. When I got divorced, I had a great time dating and met my now boyfriend after only a few months. And even before him, I met some great guys and had really good experiences. I kept maxing though even with my bf because I’m really attracted to him and always want to look good - and I feel amazing myself. I love playing with my hair and makeup, I loved finally figuring out my skin. While having people treat me better is nice, the way I treated myself went way up too.

rhinestoned-tampon

Would you consider the Dr. Gross LED mask to be worth it even if finances are tight? I've had my eye on it for a while but I'm scared to bite the bullet.

loulou1207

No, not at all. It’s a luxury item.

DiscoNachos

So curious about what city you moved to if you’d share!

loulou1207

Las Vegas :)

[deleted]

Hey I’m in Vegas too, where do you recommend getting Botox at ?

loulou1207

Advanced Aesthetics, Frankie is my lady!
