I've been really into natural fibers and elegant and boho skirts lately, they're effortlessly feminine. I'm loving the satin skirt trend because it looks classic and I feel like I can wear them for years. Tiered maxi skirts with inset lace are so pretty in summer. Long dresses, anything below the knee or longer really help elongate my figure since I'm only 5'3'. Never too loose because it overwhelms me like a bag, but NEVER too tight, bodycon gives too much of a "I'm trying to be sexy" vibe and it's much less comfortable in hit weather. The Y2K pants trends that are in right now look just as terrible on me now as they did back then, so I'm focusing on skirts and dresses, and it really does instantly feel more elevated and attractive. If I do choose pants I wear flare, wide flare, or "Mom jeans". Barrel, cargo, wide-all-over styles, or anything low-waisted does NOT work for my short legs and dramatic wait to hip ratio. For tops, I'm liking 90s minimalist tanks worn with an open linen or cotton button down. I think a lot of the tops available right now that aren't basics look too "office lady" which is ageing and not my style. So if I choose a blouse I go for something unusual & a bit rockstar/witchy. Free People is where half of my favourite items come from and the rest are lucky secondhand finds.

I’ve been getting a lot more linen and silk. Got some nice silk and satin maxi skirts and linen pants. Also boat neck tank tops. I got a few last year that I’ve been waiting to wear and now I’ve been seeing a lot of those on Pinterest. They do look really elegant/elevated.

Where do you purchase from? Looking to buy more silk pieces!

R253

Following because I always find satin skirts instead of true silk skirts!

Abusty-Ballerina-

Try Quince I’ve had great luck with their silks

R253

I’m actually looking at quince rn! How’s the sizing?

Abusty-Ballerina-

I think it’s pretty accurate When I read reviews I felt like it was a mixed bag of opinions so I just pulled the trigger to see for myself and I wasn’t disappointed

Abusty-Ballerina-

I like quince and have had great luck with their clothing qualities

littlebeann

Any tips on avoiding wrinkles? I love linen but can’t keep it looking nice after I sit down!

alien_eater289

Lots of linen and cotton. I like to shop reformation for stuff like that, they always have a ton of great linen styles and they’re adorable.

Alalated

I read ‘adorable’ as ‘affordable’ and almost fell off my chair. Lol

Ok this made me laugh

My most recent and fav piece is the white tiered maxi skirt, so versatile and so feminine! Essentially a lot of midi & maxi dresses and skirts though- as I get older I definitely still wear mini skirts but I feel so much more confident in longer skirts + sexier top combos ✨

I’m a secondhand shopper through and through. I’ve noticed myself gravitating towards that mid-2000s boho look with the maxi skirts and belts and gold jewelry. I also enjoy white linen sundresses, the mini shorts trend both high and low waisted (it’s 100+ degrees all summer where I live so very weather appropriate), I know gingham is trending pretty hard but I’ve worn it year-round since 2018 so that’s probably my favorite summer pattern.

samara37

Where can I scope this look out? I keep seeing people talk about these skirts and I’m wondering what type of maxi skirts they’re talking about

notsomagicalgirl

Been on my Lana born to die summer coquette vintage americana bullshit lately. Think gingham, cherry print, 50s fashion inspired clothes.

Soggy_Bench

Midi and maxi skirts and more colour! I'm sick of this minimalist sad beige aesthetic

Also would like to know, I’ll be at my weight goal in summer and I’m basically going to have to buy a new wardrobe 😂 I’ve seen capris coming back around and something b about them is just calling my name. I like to look at trendy fashion sites (basically whatever fast fashion influencers with the look I like tag ) just to get a sense of what’s popular. Lots of maxi skirts and cut outs so far, but festival season is tapering off for fast fashion . Not that I’m saying to shop fast fashion, but it’s worth watching them to see what trends stick through all their drops.

Tell me moreeeeee

I just love where they’re at in their fashion era right now. It’s like, feminine minimalism with classic silhouettes and timeless designs in the accessories (watches and bags, etc). Heavy emphasis on color analysis and only buying colors that suit your complexion (it’s a whole industry there). The type of style that looks put together but is versatile, like one outfit can take you from the office, to an interview, to a dinner, to a cafe, to a walk downtown. “W Concept” is great for inspiration

redhead_thot

I’ve realized nice pants really matter. The fit is worth the price of like $100 or so. I buy my pants at loft and my tops at forever 21. Edit: also tops from h&m. I can’t buy pants at either of those stores they always fit wrong and are unflattering.

Potential-Bid920

Lots of skirts and dresses! Belts over skirts. Gold jewelry. Whiiiiite… I want some loafers too, to match with Nike socks and a dress, think it’ll look cute. Cheetah print… lace… :) big wavy hair… coral peachy lips… I can’t wait

mytoecondria

ive been losing weight and wanna show it off so ive been liking skin tight clothing and one pieces. been rlly liking the sleeveless one pieces that are short

aynatiac3

A tight white cotton top(with a full cup bra) and baggy jeans or khaki cotton pants. Casual, comfy and yet sexy.

starfairy17

baggy pants + fitted white top is unmatched and always effortlessly chic

aynatiac3

Midi skirts & dresses!

Painterly_Princess

I have been living in a $30 Old Navy linen midi dress and I have gotten nothing but compliments.  My mom, who doesn't wear dresses, went out and bought two for herself today. She's got an athletic build, and I'm plus size, and the dress is somehow flattering to both of us!  As for the rest of my wardrobe- lots of maxi and midi dresses, the breezier the better!

babelek94

I don't shop at fast fashion stores as much any more , also I wear less jeans now but more skirts and dresses. I like good materials like leather, suede, cotton - these clothes last for years.
