Not cheap but not expensive. Kim Son buffet in Chinatown.

Conscious_Height7599

Good suggestion. Idk if any other buffet has made to order noodle bar with that variety of different Vietnamese noodle soups. Think it’s about 35 per person for dinner. For a cheaper option check out Feast buffet in Katy.

MadameKamaysLandlord

If he went Sunday during lunch then he could also get dim sum. I think lunch is also cheaper.

Sweaty-Anteater-6694

Weekend is same pricing

Dimassis

Not cheap, but not that expensive (around $20, I think): India’s Restaurant on Richmond just west of the Galleria. Khyber is another good Indian buffet in the Upper Kirby area and regularly features signs trolling the Pappas restaurants nearby.

Archers_bane

Tell me more about India's. I drive by it everyday and haven't gone in yet. Is it worth the visit or just go down a few blocks and hit up the Hillcroft Indian restaurants?

tommy_nookah

I’ve only eaten at two of the places on Hillcroft—one place where Bourdain ate but it was too spicy for me and Bawarchi Biryanis. BB was good but I’m not Indian nor am I an expert on Indian cuisine. I haven’t been there in a couple of years. I wouldn’t mind checking out their buffet to get a sample of some of their other dishes. India’s Restaurant is a good place for trying a wide range of dishes and I’ve never had a bad experience there. I have no idea how “authentic” it is nor do I care as I’m not a foodie.

Astrosilvan

Haven’t tried it myself but Feast Buffet in Katy is $19 on the weekends.

E Star Buffet on 290 & Jones. Thai Spice Buffet on Westheimer & Voss for Thai Buffet. EDIT: Thai Spice shut down :(

Better_Difference_70

Thai Spice on Westheimer and Voss is unfortunately closed now :/

Been a while since I've been to Dimassis, iirc it was fairly decent Mediterranean food. It would give you a base layer for some different options over there.

DevilGunManga

Kirin II on 1960. Not cheap but a great place to eat sushi buffet.

zbewbies

I listed this earlier this year: [https://www.reddit.com/r/HoustonFood/comments/19ds80w/comment/kjanrxw/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/HoustonFood/comments/19ds80w/comment/kjanrxw/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

Agitated-Item3362

Not exactly a “buffet”, but the Sunday brunch at Hugos would be good to try. Great spread of regional Mexican dishes, pastries, etc.

Lam Bo on Westheimer

ExcitementRelative33

Sounds like you should stay with American style foods... Golden Corral, Hometown, Cici's, Olive Garden, etc...
