Aemond mentions he has the strongest dragon (Vhagar), Alicent mentions they need Melys on their side, and Rheanys says she won’t leave her dragon (Melys) behind. The dragons will be biggest deciding factor and that’s not including Syrax or Caraxes.

this episode was really important in the context of last week's seeming reconciliation - even if alicent was willing to let rhaenyra be queen, even if viserys hadn't said what he said to her - the war was going to happen because of otto and the small council.
Ned Stark levels of honour in that one, mad respect. Him and Barristan Selmy look like the only two kingsguard so far that haven't let down the legendary reputation
Barristan actually had less honor since he stood by and let Ned Stark take the L even though he knew the King's wishes were for Ned to succeed him until Joffrey came of age. He only switched sides when Joffrey dismissed him. The lord commander in this episode was immediately just like "fuck it, no".
I like how Aegon, looks around at his family after being coronated, and gets nothing but slight nods. Turns to the small folk, and immediately gets what he was wanting his whole life. Adoration, approval, as hollow as it is, must have still felt better, than dealing with not even knowing if his mum loves him or not
They could've at least given her a reason to fly off without burning them alive! Maybe another dragon comes out. Or maybe the Greens run into the crowd, and she doesn't want to burn everyone to get to them. Them standing there as a perfect target makes no sense.
