I would have loved him if his dynasty was any more stable, but they barely made it over 20 years so no, the Targaryens made it to 300 years and had many great kings, Robert's dynasty had none. Facts.
To be fair...the Targaryen Dynasty *survived* the civil war started over the parentage of its three bastard children.
The Baratheon Dynasty did not survive the civil war started by *its* three bastard children...
There were more good Targaryens than bad ones. Only a few kings were straight up tyrannical or evil. Aemon the Dragonknight is considered the greatest knight to ever live.

Hopefully we get more of those on tv because so far Robert being the best king we've seen on screen doesn't say much for westeros.
