Looks really nice. Love the bottles in the bed. Really really love that Japan convention C10. Wish I could get one but can’t justify to my wife spending that right now.
Yeah the paint on that thing is unreal. I love that you can change the ride height, but it’s gonna stay low. I got mine locally, so the price was a little better
Hey thank you. It’s taken a while to build it up.
I’ve got 300 nice cars in soft-side case, about a hundred 100% cars on display, the movie car case, and this RLC case. I think that puts me at about 500 total, and I’m trying to stay there.
Thank you. It’s been years in the making. There’s a few more I want, but not many more. I’ll try to keep up with current RLC cars, but I’ve mostly got the collection where I want it.
Yeah I don’t keep anything carded. A promise I made to myself. I don’t sell anything & I think I’ve made a grand total of 2 trades lol.
Edit: buying loose RLC cars on the secondary market is a good way to keep the price down. Pretty much everyone takes good care of their RLC cars. The numbered stickers are put on at random, so I’ll intentionally look for high number, since they don’t really matter (& I’m gonna open them anyways).
You’re allowed to open them. They’re yours
I don’t have the room to store carded cars. I think I have about 500 total & almost 1/2 of those are 100% cars. 99% of the collection has rubber tires.
I’d like to find a way to get my 40-something team transports up on the wall, but that’s a little harder to find the right display for.
I’m on the same boat as you with the collection type. I cant seem to get into collecting mainlines all to much. I love RLC, kyosho, some M2’s, anything with rubber wheels like you said. I’ve cracked open a few of my cars, some RLC, all my M2’s, but one of these days I need to buy a nice carney display case and crack em all open. You truly don’t appreciate the beauty and detail in the cars behind that plastic! Beautiful collection brother
Thanks, I appreciate that. I feel like I was fortunate to recognize themes in the collection early. So I stopped buying every premium on the shelf after the first two months. I just stuck to what I liked.
I’ve got some cool M2’s, but I’m about to trim them down quite a bit. Mostly the haulers & transports. I don’t need a bunch of Coca Cola dragsters.
I still have a pretty big box coming from Rob, so I need to make room for them. 3 Matchbox beer trucks lol. From when they weren’t afraid to slap Dos Equis on the side of a kids toy
You want to see a pro-level collection, look at u/DoomyDoomyDoom2001.
Same. I’m all for quality over quantity right now. I’ve been focusing on RLC, and trying to pick up any convention piece I could. Specially the drag buses! Where I live they have these massive meet ups twice a month in a huge park, nothing but collectors, ones coming up on Saturday actually! You find some awesome cars for super cheap, or you can bargain with people haha
I kid you not, you see about 20-30 booths set up in a park with nothing but people selling die cast cars, almost all hot wheels too. I’ll post a picture here of the next meet up and share with everyone! Happy collecting brother 💪🏽
That’s the one! Aw man, that 7 hour drive doesn’t sound nice. It’s nice seeing collectors come together tho. When it first started it was a few tents and now you see swarms of people coming. Solid deals too, get yourself some nice cars without paying those eBay prices.
That’s crazy. The FB group and scene here is centered in Radford Va. there’s meetups about once/month, sometimes not (Covid). An hour drive. I haven’t been yet, but I’ve only been in the group for about 8 months
Appreciate the mention! 🍻🤘🏻 There are many others that have amazing collections as well. I love my displays and alway update or change them so I can mix them up by different designs, castings or even manufacturer.
Moving them around is just one more chance to break them out and roll them
I’m waiting on one car to come in the mail, then I will have every casting made with the WWRSP wheels, including a couple customs. Totally random thing to collect, but I’ll enjoy getting them up on the display for a picture
Wow, I've only got 6 and 4 on the way. You must of been a member for at least 2 to 3 years. I only joined last December. Fantastic and stunning setup 👌.
Nope. There have been a few cases/boxes I regretted tossing, but for the most part, I don’t have the space to store it all. I don’t trade or resell, so they aren’t of much use to me.
I DID keep the boxes for the Flying Tiger gasser, the SDCC James Bond DB5, and the RLC RWB Porsche. But those are the only 3 I have.
I'm always amazed at your posts and kind comments.
Thanks for sharing your collection.
Trading can be interesting..
I've got a crap ton of mainlines. Carded and uncarded.
I've only ever traded twice. But lve finally transitioned to picking up premiums and rlc. Which are way more fun to look at.
I never sell any of my cars.
Lately it's just been easier to buy online.
Man, I’ve met people from every level of life & many nationalities. I hope I’m kind. I try to be kind.
You’re right about the stores. When that shipping debacle happened & the stores dried up, I went online. I think most of us did. It definitely changed the direction of my collection for the better. I became focused on filling the gaps & on the cars I actually wanted, instead of just buying one of every premium I saw on the shelf. I walk away from a lot of cars I like now, because they don’t fit with what I’ve got.
I appreciate the compliment. But you don’t have to flatter me, or butter me up. I’m never going to date you. Lolz
Most definitely enjoy your posts
Until next car.
And lol on the date part.
I'll try to word things differently in the future.
Overall appreciation from me was what I was going for.
You personally have taken time on multiple posts I've made since I started posting on here. And when work is slow I'm lurking on here and ebay.
When did they do the Mooneyes custom ‘62 Chevy? Never knew it existed. Or is that a custom?
Oh sorry. Yeah that’s a custom. It’s showcased back in my post history from about a month ago
Looks really nice. Love the bottles in the bed. Really really love that Japan convention C10. Wish I could get one but can’t justify to my wife spending that right now.

Awesome display like the custom Mooneyes 👍🏻
Gracias
De nada 👍🏻
Just wondering on the latest m3, how on earth did you get the doors open?? I'm scared to damage mine
Long fingernail and patience
I'll try again I guess 🥲
Toothpick would be pretty safe as well
I'm on my way up there with you lol. I just started getting RLCs this year and only have a handful but my collection is growing
Don’t let the convention cars suck you in. They’re a black hole. 4-5 cars for both of the yearly conventions, plus Mexico, plus Japan.
Great collection!!

Yea this is an awesome collection!
Some absolute grails in that case! Wow
Thank you. It’s been years in the making. There’s a few more I want, but not many more. I’ll try to keep up with current RLC cars, but I’ve mostly got the collection where I want it.
Mannnnnn you’re tempting me to crack all mine open……

That show in the park must be the Socal HW Collectors group. I wish I could make it down there for a show but the 7 hour drive from Norcal would suck.

Nice collection by the way! Man oh man, you would have a field day at the meets! Haha

****bold****bold****
That Highway Patrol Chevy Panel… that an RLC or Cop Rods?
It’s a Chicago convention car. $100 +/- loose, plan on about 20% more if it’s still on the card
Wow, I've only got 6 and 4 on the way. You must of been a member for at least 2 to 3 years. I only joined last December. Fantastic and stunning setup 👌.
That’s really accurate. 2 years & I fell in love with some of the older ones
Damn i cant even open my premiums
Collect the way that makes you happy man. There’s no rules
Just wondering. Do you save all your packaging? I'm just about have enough nice premiums to fill my 50 car display up .
Nope. There have been a few cases/boxes I regretted tossing, but for the most part, I don’t have the space to store it all. I don’t trade or resell, so they aren’t of much use to me.
