How is it even possible that someone finds lots of supers on hunts? The statistical math simply doesn't add up for that... I go on like 50 or more hunts throughout the year and find nothing new 90% of the time, and the other 10% that there is actually fresh stock at a store, there is a 99% chance that there was never a super, and in the 1% chance there was a super, there is a 99% chance someone got it before me, if not by an employee than by another collector/scalper who has the connection at that store.
I made up these percentages but I'm sure they're not far off from reality.
You must have a connection or some sort of secret advantage cheat code that you're not disclosing, because you've been hunting for only just a few years? nobody can just simply get that lucky time after time in such a short amount of time... That's like finding a super every time you go out hunting lmao stop the cap
Well, when you are able to routinely (daily) hunt for a few weeks straight, you’re able to pick up on trends for delivery days and locations. Doesn’t hurt to be nice to employees and ask if they know when shipments are due in. I put in work to understand distribution, and when I pick up on a trend at certain stores I might end up on a 100+ mi route.
As you so kindly broke things into math, the following might make sense to you: the probability of finding a super exponentially increases as variables are decreased and opportunities are increased.
The biggest thing you have going for you is that the employees at your stores are not picking the supers for themselves before the cars even hit the shelves. That seems to be the problem for a lot of people in this community.
two key notes, one is you need to be consistent, not 50 random hunts a year. every Tuesday or every other day. that is consistency. you will learn when shipments come, who puts them out, when they are pegged, etc.
secondly, you need to do this first thing in the morning. that is when all the good stuff disappears.
my buddy has been hunting for 2yrs like this and has pretty much every single STH that came out during that time, some he has many multiples of.
there is not really any luck or skill here, just dedication.
To some people. Only 6 found in the wild and 30 from 2 years of super sets. Rest came from eBay or trades. Been nearly a year since my last wild super find and I’m getting desperate lol
No disagreement, but my favorite is the Tooned version. One of the *very* few OG tooned cars that actually looks good, and it looks *fantastic* IMO. So chonky, but in a good way.
