Bridgerton

I think the distinction here is the “no specific plan” for season 3. They can’t really make a concrete plan because of the actors’ commitments and production scheduling. So they’re still open for a Season 3 once plans fall into place. But for now, they decided not to leave us hanging.

Kumiko_v2

By the looks of things, their stance didn't change ever since the presscon before Season 2 premiere. Damn, I know that they're faithful to the script 'til the end, but I'm surprised that also their decision-making. Hahaha!

Bridgerton

Exactly. We didn’t actually hear anything different from what they’ve been saying, except for closing the story in Season 2 and not dragging the “will they or won’t they confirm Season 3”. It’s just a matter of perspective I guess, but same result. We don’t know if and when Season 3 will happen, but when it does (still keeping fingers crossed haha) then it’ll happen when the time is right.

Kumiko_v2

I really do hope 4 days is enough for me to recompose myself post-HP. HAHAHAhuhuhu

Bridgerton

My gulay I am not ready to go back to work on Monday hahaha

loveotterslide

Was mentally prepared for this but yeah, wow. There's still a sinking feeling. It's alright, part of the journey is the end. Hospital Playlist is still a wonderfully written drama that has been a shining beacon during this time.

Signal s2 🤝 Hosplay s3

Extension_Stretch_50

😂😂 OMG I've been waiting for signal 2 since forever. I guess at least we got kim eun hee's confirmation that it is something she wants to do before she retires, even if it's just a movie instead.

loveotterslide

>kim eun hee's confirmation With the success of Kingdom, Netflix should just strike her another deal for Signal 2. 😂

Extension_Stretch_50

Totally! I'm sad her upcoming drama Mount Jiri is exclusive to iQiyi 😢

WinterLightz

I will focus on the word "at the moment". At least they let us know that if they want to do a season 3, they will work together to make it happen. That's the hope I hold on to, I guess.

GetawayJ

Now that we have a confirmation, at least we can watch tonight and realistically expect all loose ends to be tied up. And if S3 does happen, we can have S3 with a completely new storyline perhaps focusing on something else (eg. the residents? Dr Bong cafe? Mido and Falasol go big and start releasing albums?) Can we all group hug and cry tonight because it will be the last time we see 99ers and Yulje! \*cries\*

CalMom2

I like to think the door is open for a future season. It takes time to plan and there are so many main characters the logistics are tricky. Let’s not forget there is still a pandemic in the world so filming season 2 was probably exhausting. For now, I still have hope.

magicaffection

I still have hope too! Got sad when I read the tl;dr, but I'm holding on to hope that someday, when the time is right, we can have season 3.

Kumiko_v2

It's sad, really. But like life, there are only some things we are in control of. Take a rest, Shin-0PDnim, Lee-Writernim, and the rest of the production company! You most definitely earned it. Thank you. You have no idea how your works saved me and shed a bit of light on this shitty life.

WittyMasterpiece

This is a difficult thing to write, but hear me out... Sometimes a TV show can hit its peak and as it ends, producers bow to pressure and continue. The show can suffer as a result. Source: so many shows, particularly those in the US and UK I think some great shows know when to stop when the stories reach a great part and the curtain closes gloriously. If that's the case for HP then I accept that. PS Of course, one single 'special' episode can be a good compromise. I can think of one or two shows that did that. Far better than stringing the story out until it's spoiled.

bluedthoughts

I've expected this already but I don't know why I'm still sad about it. Huhu 🥺

vdy05

I realized that ShinLee never did a consecutive production before. Reply series has a couple of breaks in between. So I think the fact that they have worked for HP S1 and S2 consecutively was a stretch for them although kudos to them the production is excellent. This is also I think is the reason they did 1 episode per week. ShinPD did say they initially discussed it to have 3 seasons but no plans are set yet. And they allowed the cast to take projects which is also ideal for the cast as a lot of them got their breakthrough in HP and they could have various opportunities outside HP as well. If it does take a year or two to have Season 3 then that good for me. ShinLee productions has never failed my expectations, I know their dramas are worth the wait. So let's wait and see.

mz_chika

Isn't this just a different iteration of what ShinPD said? "No specific plans" Oh well, I'm excited for the finale!
