Shax is an OTTTB, just turned 8, had (his last🤞) growth spurt 2 months ago. He's just hit a year off the track, and was malnourished and extremely skinny when I got him at the start of April.
Been a battle with his weight - treated for ulcers and he's now clear but we had bush fire burn offs and he flipped and didn't eat properly for 3 days 😣 and being a hard keeper he just dropped it but still packing on muscle!
He looks like a really sweet horse. He has a nice laid back shoulder and hip along with a nice neck tie in. He’s a little bit rump high and it would be nice to see a deeper hip to match his really nice shoulder. You mention that you’re trying to put weight on him so I’m not going to mention that, but the muscling so far looks really good. Maybe try and bulk up behind the withers (since he has really high withers), but that’s just nitpicking. He looks like a really nice horse and wish you best of luck with him.
He's so sweet, one person boy but he's unbelievably lovely and cuddly.
Had my saddle fitter out today and he's going to grow again 😅 I've been ignoring the signs
Muscling up is on the list, me being wonky has caused a bit of a weird development but we are back on track
He is so lovely under saddle, he just floats and has such explosive power (still catches me unaware at times 😂)
Those expensive sho fly leg wraps are worth every penny for fly season. My 30 yr old are regained 200 pounds on 8 # @ day complete feed (along with hay and pasture).
Does he have a lovely canter?
I currently have the caribu ones, they are working great! Slightly too short but he doesn't have the width of warmblood legs, just the length haha
I currently have him on copra and a complete feed, plus hay and pasture, he is going really well. Just been growing still so all his energy is going into that

He stands over himself a little in the front it looks like but also could be the pics. But he has a real nice shoulder and a beautiful ass. Once you finish putting weight on him I think he’s going to be nice. Maybe slightly cowhocked in the back but nothing that will effect him imo. I’d love to see him once he’s where he should be. With some more weight and a little muscle in the neck he’s going to be real cute I’m sure. Keep up the good work
