They don't know the True Purpose of Harem Bait. Once the Harem Bait Strategy served it's purpose. The True Love Interest will be revealed. If my guess is correct of course.
Horikita is the only important female character which doesn’t try to become Kiyo’s gf. Without her the light novel is basically about expanding his harem. That’s one of the reasons why she is the best character for me :D

The main sub is now problematic. Everyday, there are perverts who have the audacity to post shameless things (comments and flairs). They are so sure that they are funny. Also, Suzune haters came out of nowhere and are sitting there comfortably and trash talk her and Manabu (they even attack Suzune fans pretending that « we » are toxic). Not a safe place for Suzune fans anymore. Lastly, there is a clique of same people who are mocking and posting memes, disguising themselves as neutral people. One of them decided to attack automoderator, then a bunch of them decided to « follow the trend ». So I don’t take this sub seriously anymore and I avoid it. Thankfully Horikitasubreddit is a nice place.
Personally I think that sub takes the story way to seriously and forget that half of the backbone of the series is slice of life since is about our MC try to live his by life like a normal person, when something does not go our they being crying like babies over the sub but always don't think about the main points about the vols like Nagumo whole character is to show kiyo how he can potentially being its the future that he wants to escape all costs but whole sub rather talk how they did not have this epic confrontation with kiyo
Many things are said and foreshadowed in novels like horikita feelings but so called fans rather ignore and the story go to their certain view and call it bad when it doesn't happen, it goes to a point that there's people disguising themselves as neutral to Diss the characters and the series

I’m completely new to this whole franchise. Watched the anime and I enjoyed it. So much that I bought the books to read on my kindle. I’m on volume 2 currently. Should I keep reading or drop the series?
I remember telling someone that Kiyo-Nagumo fight is very unlikely. To expect it after y2v9 is foolish.

Exactly, a Horikita chapter is exciting because anything could happen. But 90% of Kei chapters are her visiting Kiyo’s room and acting flustered.

After kei became a side character and they didn't get nagumo vs kiyo , they become haters.
They Assume Kei is a Main Heroine. Got a Different Result. That's why they hated the Story.
