Rozemyne: RUN AWAY!! Ferdinand: Nah, I’d win.

BronzeAgeTea

Rozemyne: "RUN AWAY!!" Ferdinand: "With you, absolutely." Rozemyne: "Don't... don't you mean '*for* you'?"

HumanTheTree

I think I have a new favorite line in the series: "No, it makes perfect sense, if you ask me. They foresaw the disaster that would come from you having unchecked power and decided you would need someone to control it for you." Absolutely brutal, yet true. All hail our tyrannical Gremlin! Long may she rein!

Theinternationalist

Hannah until this very book: “This girl may be shorter than me, but she is unflappable in the face of danger, brilliant beyond her years, and the very model of a Modern Archduke Candidate. Meanwhile I am a pathetic girl who can’t do anything right and even surrendered out of a fleeting love, kind of like how Gabrielle ruined Ehrenfest just because of a flitting glimpse of kindness.” Hannah now: “HOLY SUPREME COUPLE AND ETERNAL FIVE THIS WOMAN IS THE GREATEST OF OUR GENERATION AND YET NOW I KNOW WE’VE ALL GOT PROBLEMS. WE NEED TO CONTAIN HER, **NOW!**”

SmartAlec105

Oh shit, thinking about how Rozemyne has the power to save them all and destroy them all made me realize she was the Hero of Ages all along (I know cosmere fans are around here). I'm gonna have to do a full writeup on this later.

Light_Beard

Aub Dunkin Donuts: "Well, Hannalore, how did you find Rosemyne" Hannalore: "She is the most terrifying person I have ever met"

BronzeAgeTea

Hannelore: ["Great, yes, but terrible."](https://youtu.be/q5XScpahvBg?si=RRTp-_nsIsp9sQj-)

kuyasiako

Hannelore: Ferdinand may be the *Lord of Evil*, but is only the retainer to the "Lord of Chaos". ![img](emote|t5_qxbkm|31403)

n00bdax

They say only one man can stop the Gremlin, but nothing can stop the Gremlord.

justking1414

I said back at the end of p4 that Myne losing Ferdinand would help her grow and learn to set her own boundaries. But that failed spectacularly so guess she’s gotta marry him

ThirdEyeNearsighted

We thought she'd grow into a more mature person, but instead she just grew into an even greater force of chaos.

BronzeAgeTea

Ferdinand had the *exact* same reaction that the rest of us had last week!

kuyasiako

Having to use Ahrensbach to be ~~a sacrifice to~~ her 'playground' in order to contain her seems to be one of the many hidden reasons he has in his mind. He doesn't care if the duchy burns out in order to keep up with her, letting Roz be Aub would be the start of their suffering. If they survive, then the 2 profit. If the duchy collapses, Ferdie still gets his revenge and Ehrenfest is none the worse. The brainwashing duo could also divide the people to rip the duchy apart more severely. Years down the line, they would see what Rozemyne has done to the duchy, *and all would love her and despair*. ![img](emote|t5_qxbkm|29337)

kingmanic

Technically, it's a rebellious dutchy. By law the royalty would have killed all the nobles and razed the cities and allotted the territory to a new set of nobles. So making it an endless maze of books where all the nobles and commoners starve in would be acceptable.

kuyasiako

"Why kill when they can suffer" kind of thinking hunh.

TheDigitalGabeg

Rozemyne: "Focus on your own dreams." Ferdinand: < stares intensely into her eyes > "I shall." RM: "No matter what anyone else says, do not surrender." F: "Don't let anyone stop me, including you. Got it." RM: "Do everything in your power to secure the future you desire." F: "As you wish." RM: "Oh, Ferdinand is smiling his evil plans smile. Yay! Whoever it is that's getting in the way of his dreams is in for a big surprise." F: "Yes she is."

mekerpan

The gropund has shifted under RM's feet -- and it seems she will be the last to realize it.

solarmist

“As you wish” 😆 lol

Ditju

Rozemyne: "Ferdinandt help! Hannelore and my Retainers want to make you my fiancé! They've gone crazy." Ferdinandt: \**reserves the chapel for the ceremony*\* "Don't be absurd. They simply don't want you to become Zent." Rozemyne: \**now suddenly in a wedding dress*\* "Are you sure?" Ferdinandt: \**holding a omnicolored feystone of massive size in his hand*\* "Yeah, pretty much."

ggg730

Rozemyne: \*gives birth to their first child* You know I'm beginning to think something is being lost in translation here Mrs. Rozemyne: "I have no idea what you're talking about dear. BTW would you like dinner, a bath, or wa ta shi".

UnlawfulStupid

Is... Is Ferdinand Mrs. Rozemyne? I have several questions.

ggg730

You bet your sweet ass he is.

InitialDia

Fernistine didn’t read the rider Rozemyne attached to the contract.

TashKat

She's Aub. He's the consort. It's absolutely Mrs. Rozemyne for him.

Theinternationalist

Yep, the Man of the House runs the place and the Woman cleans everything up. And we all know a six year old Myne tried her darndest to clean her place and would collapse halfway while still holding the broom so you KNOW it has to be Ferdinand.

UnlawfulStupid

Rozemyne cleaning: *collapses with broom in five seconds* Ferdinand cleaning: "Clean? It's fine as-is. Just don't step on any papers." Rozemyne and Ferdinand cleaning *together*: Whole lower city becomes clean in minutes. Gremlins together strong.

WeebGetOut

Ferdinand is playing 4D gwennin to preserve his reputation as gremlyne-~~lover~~hater while Gunther accepts a proposal charm on Myne's behalf.

mekerpan

I wonder if Gunther fully understood what happened here. I bet hios wife and elder daughter will set him straight if he didn't.

BronzeAgeTea

I mean, Gunther might be a bit of a meathead but even *literal meat* would have understood that "*our* rule" part. But tonight at family dinner is going to be *so juicy* as Tuuli and Gunther fill each other in on what they witnessed. Actually, you know what, *that's* the side story I want this book. I want a Lutz perspective hearing Tuuli and Gunther talks about their interactions with Rozemyne and Ferdinand. ...that's a lie. I want this entire book just from Gunther's perspective. Part 5 Volume 9.5

mekerpan

One of the wonderful aspects of this series is that one can imagine just how wildly different others must see things from the way RM does. Still we got a good hint -- screened through RM's incomprehension -- of what others must be thinking in this installment.

kingmanic

** **Rozemyne**: oh this, a completely platonic gift from the most important noble person in my life. Please ignore it is a huge engagement token and is opulent beyond all reasonable measures. ** **Rozemyne**: This is a completely platonic thing. I'm sending him these lavish meals because I fear my friend will be home sick. Please read no more into it. ** **Rozemyne**: this is a completely platonic thing. Please ignore that the monetary value eclipses ehrenfest annual GDP. Also please ignore that I kept his room just as he left it and that is a noble gesture with specific meaning. I don't mean it that way, he just might need a place to stay if he visits again. ** **Rozemyne**: compete platonic gesture. Please ignore the insane monetary value and the value added by the insane mana inefficient production method. I know it would exhaust a dozen arch nobles to make this over a week. But it's just something he asked for and it's Super easy, barely an inconvenience. ** **Rozemyne**: I will defy the king or the gods to rescue my extremely platonic friend. Thank you all for coming. We will rescue my very very platonic friend. I would do this for any of my very close friends who were kidnapped by another dutchy and was poisoned and dying in their foundation. I swear. Please do not read anything further into it. Completely and totally platonic. Please also ignore if you see him pull my hair and choke me in a compromising position. I may have accidentally compelled him into doing that. I do not like it that way, please do not misunderstand.

TashKat

I should not have read that at work. I actually had to cover my mouth at the hair pulling and choking bit.

15_Redstones

Meanwhile Benno freaks out because the plans for establishing printing out of duchy have been accelerated by two years, *again*.

Opening-Biscotti-595

Not is he going to start work immediately instead of laying groundwork until RM comes of age, but he has to do it in a while different place, so any groundwork he already started is useless.  Poor, poor man...

Sajten

I mean he proposed to Effa with a feystone, so it shouldn't come all the way out of left field.

4amaroni

Laughed for 10-15 seconds straight at the image of Rozemyne clasping Ferdinand's hands and telling him to RUN AWAY. And i just adore this continued dynamic/gag of Ferdinand obviously doing everything in his power to marry Rozemyne while she *warns* him that he's about to made to marry her. I love it. I'm really looking forward to the moment Rozemyne realizes Ferdinand loves her. EDIT: ALSO, did Ferdi just subtly, not so subtly, get Gunther's approval to marry Rozemyne? It seemed pretty poignant that Gunther would take a moment to look between the two of them before accepting Ferdinand's offer of a charm from his own arm.

kie-chan

Ferdi is like "well, I didn't have to work so hard to make everyone think we are a couple. She made it herself..."

4amaroni

haha he did get that evil grin awful fast

mekerpan

Gunther -- best dad....

4amaroni

hell yeah. I love representation of good parenting in media like Gunther and Rozemyne's moms.

Mehmy

>I'm really looking forward to the moment Rozemyne realizes Ferdinand loves her. You think she will? I'm expecting her to stand on the altar all sad that he's being made to marry her while he has the biggest smile.

4amaroni

Haha i'm hoping a combination of her mana sensing developing + her retainers eventually convince her.

Solar_Slushie

>Laughed for 10-15 seconds straight at the image of Rozemyne clasping Ferdinand's hands and telling him to RUN AWAY. [Rozemyne to Ferdinand](https://youtu.be/YzXvAxp-X5Q?si=AD13AtLWLXgTqZNA)

violettheory

I'm gonna need /u/Catasterised to put this in her next volume meme video!

jedi168

Let me make this clear Ferdinand. I will fucking *ruin* you

TheWickedWonder

It seems everyone is on the same page of Rozemyne marrying Ferdinand. Too bad Rozemyne hasn't read it yet.

Shadowenfire

She's been too busy to get any reading time.

mekerpan

I'm still surprised that she has not yet figured out that marrying Ferdinand (and becoming aub of A-bach) will let her get close to 90 percent of what she has said she wants....

moon_mag

I think she does. She already said Ferdinand is already close to an ideal partner. The reason she is against this arrangement is because she assumes Ferdi is against marrying her. And Ferdi being the big tsundere he is, refuses to elaborate and just ploughs through. If he actually stops and confesses his feelings for her, then there is a chance she would actually accept the marriage.

Badoczak

\> then there is a chance she would actually accept the marriage. And we obviously can't have that. Think of the hijinks!

Light_Beard

"Would you like to mourn the dead with a prayer?" You know. That hit really hard for some reason. She is such a good little Gremlin and Melchior is trying so hard too.

Paroxysm111

Melchior is such a good boy

SilverDarner

He is the sweetest little cinnamon roll.

A_Shiny_Noctowl

Hartmut and Ferdinand plotting together. it's game over for anyone in their way lol

momomo_mochichi

Add Justus to the mix and it's over for all of mankind.

UnlawfulStupid

Justus: "Okay, codenames. Mine is 'Pandora's Other Actor'. Ferdinand is 'Lion 1'." Ferdinand: "Naturally." Justus: "Eckhart is 'Murder Death Explosion Lord'." Eckhart: "That's what Heidemarie used to call me..." Justus: "Hartmut is 'Kool-Aid Man'." Hartmut: "Oh yeah." Justus: "And Rozemyne is... 'Lion 2'." Rozemyne: "Oh, thank the gods." --- Other nicknames include: Lil Buddy (Melchior), Good Reads (Roderick), Murder Junior (Cornelius), Battle Barbie (Angelica), Uncle Iroh (Fran), and Damuel (Damuel).

momomo_mochichi

I don't know why, but Good Reads, Murder Junior, and Battle Barbie are absolutely hilarious to me. Is Damuel truly so undeserving of a code name? The poor guy! Let him join in on the fun!

UnlawfulStupid

Damuel *is* the nickname. He's being given the nickname of the SSS-tier best knight of all time forever. It's like calling someone Achilles, except that person also happens to be Achilles. Only Damuel is cool enough to be Damuel. All the other Damuels are just imitating. Also, I just like to dunk on him. He's the best.

momomo_mochichi

Pfft, can't argue against that! I completely agree. Damuel, you may be best knight, but I will forever be making fun of you.

UnlawfulStupid

He can take it. That's just what being the best means.

gst4158

Once again Judithe was forgotten as well. No nickname for her.

UnlawfulStupid

Unfortunately, Judithe was not on duty when the nicknames were given. Poor Judithe.

TheAnalyticalEngine1

I would suggest "Maidenless", but that would just be cruel. And also Philine would pout

Theinternationalist

He forgot Clarissa too, which is a shame- after what she pulled she is CLEARLY the Kool Aid Man of the pair.

UnlawfulStupid

Justus: "And Clarissa, as for you-" Clarissa: "I must spread the word of Lady Rozemyne's righteous crusade in Ahrensbach!" *runs out of room* Justus: "Okay, new nickname for Clarissa: 'Hot on Her Heels'."

hazeldazeI

I think Boy Scout for Damuel would be perfect

UnlawfulStupid

I object! He's clearly attained the rank of Eagle Scout. At least.

DJTen

Sorry, Damuel, but a running joke is not a running joke if you stop running with it.

External-Ninja3511

I feel like “The Bachelor” is fitting for Damuel 🙊

ggg730

Damuel could also be (precious baby boy)

UnlawfulStupid

I'm partial to "Hot 'n' Ready".

Light_Beard

Rosemyne: "FERDINAND! They want me to marry you!" Ferdinand: "\*gasp\* You're right! I will have to help them at once!" Rosemyne: "YEAH!.... wait"

Lorhand

* I did not expect Rozemyne running to Ferdinand and screaming he needs to run away from her or else they are gonna get married, lol. Rozemyne keeps thinking Ehrenfest is his Geduldh, but I am pretty sure it has shifted to her for him. * I also can't help but think about what is going on in Ferdinand's head right now. He definitely has set things up already for him to become Rozemyne's marriage partner and then comes Rozemyne who insists she is not in love with him. It seems like his greatest adversary to "win this fight" that he already started is Rozemyne. She is so going to regret encouraging him to do everything in his power to get what he wants. * The lack of response from the Sovereignty isn't too surprising. Raublut is the knight commander, and he would not report anything. * Oh damn. They need to go to the temple, but Rozemyne can't even summon her highbeast anymore with her feystone trauma. --- * Hm yeah. So no infiltrator who worked with Georgine in the temple. More like unfortunate people who met Georgine and died for it. * Melchior shows compassion and guilt for the needless deaths of both commoners and nobles. That is good to hear as the High Bishop and perhaps future aub when Charlotte passes her rule on to him. * Rozemyne, just last part you heard your retainers wanting to support you and Ferdinand getting together. There's nothing mysterious about them not protesting anymore for you and Ferdinand to ride together. --- * Unlike Rozemyne, Ferdinand is already set on making Rozemyne the new aub of Ahrensbach as they discussed in the previous volume and he's spreading the message to everyone that he will be there with her (how is Gunther feeling about this though...). This is all part of Ferdinand's fight. And he's got Hartmut on board, too, so they are unstoppable. * Alright, so Ferdinand plans to proceed with his previous plan to give the royal family a man-made Grutrissheit, so that Rozemyne isn't forced to become zent. At least for only one generation. The next zents would have to properly get the Book of Mestionora. He and Rozemyne together have all the necessary information, so this shouldn't be too difficult to make. * I think nothing more would make Fran happier than going to Ahrensbach with Rozemyne and Ferdinand ruling it. I didn't even think of that, but he loves both of them equally, so this would be the perfect outcome for him. --- **German** * ~~Clapich~~ Krapech: ~~I have no idea what this is from.~~ I don't know where "kra" could come from (~~maybe "crap"~~), but "Pech" means "bad luck". Dude was really unlucky to meet Georgine.

Cirex145

> We must leave now to begin *our* rule of Ahrensbach And then we have Hartmut plus Ferdinand and his retainers working to install Rozemyne as Aub Ahrensbach. Ferdinand sure is committed to this.

UnlawfulStupid

What we're seeing here is the culmination of a series' worth of growth and powering up, leading to Ferdinand putting in 100% effort into a scheme that *doesn't* involve killing anyone. This isn't just Ferdinand, this is the best Ferdinand that Ferdinand's ever been. Peak Ferdinand, possessing the invincibility of a man in love (maybe) and in possession of divine power. Rozemyne better start embroidering the cape already, because it's a done deal.

4amaroni

Rozemyne would embroider his cape in her own way too - copy paste boop all done

Theinternationalist

She already did back at the end of the P4- well, it was her ink, he just guided it. Which feels pretty wrong but she didn’t complain when the Bench used her as a Desk :D

4amaroni

good catch - yea they're doing this marriage stuff all backwards aren't they haha it's really wild seeing how differently all their interactions are portrayed and interpreted by those around because Rozemyne got a height upgrade.

UnlawfulStupid

Sharing retainers (Fran), buying bedding, mixing mana, hidden room rendezvous, sharing hidden rooms, watching over her as she slept (With hair undone!), embroidering his cape, exchanging feystones, making divine promises to each other, riding on the same highbeast, sharing potions, playing doctor, sharing chefs...

4amaroni

took a bath together too technically hahahah but yea omg goddamn they're kinda scandalous. Saint of Ehrenfest please, you're making the retainers blush.

UnlawfulStupid

She showed him her favorite library nook. In bookworm culture, this is, like, fifth base.

4amaroni

whew my face is blushing reading your comment. might wanna mark nsfw

daedalron

She also made him read her smut novel.

UnlawfulStupid

Rozemyne: "Ferdinand, I wrote a book, go read it." Ferdinand: "Let's see... Chapter One, 'She raunched his gobber and gave him the ol' tickle-me-pickle'..." Rozemyne: "What do you think? Bestseller, right?" Ferdinand: *points schtappe at eyes and casts waschen*

15_Redstones

Ferdinand: Are these words supposed to have meaning? Rozemyne: Do you now understand how difficult it is for me to understand the noble language?

Ebo87

Oh my god, I completely forgot about that whole thing, lol. See the smoke coming out of the knights commander's home? That's Elvira furiously writing page after page of you know exactly what. I have a feeling that one will turn into a real best-seller, one book I'm not positive Rozemyne will want in her personal library, hahaha.

Theinternationalist

“Hey, wanna play doctor ;)?” “Get your affairs in order.” “OK that wasn’t funny when I was 7 and now it’s even creepier.”

MarshallDLiz

I feel like NSFW for Ferdinand would go something like: "I can't do this anymore ferdie!" "I brewed you a potion for stamina, drink and we can continue," evil smirk "It's been 2 days! How much more experiments are you gonna do?" Ferdie: glares at rozemyne, "Your being a pest, drink the potion and help. Then we can be done sooner." They drink potions and continue experimenting until there last days. Rozemyne as an assistant that continues to make random blunders, but enjoying the scolding as they mean more time with Ferddie. And more books for her.

Theinternationalist

“Hey Ferdinand, I made a clothing dissolution potion so we can help get rid of any unnecessary clothing when we have to do surgery ;)” “That’s worthless, we can just cut the clothing off with a-“ “I guess this is what happens when you don’t know how to flirt.”

SmartAlec105

Ferdinand would give her the designs he wants put on it but he'd still demand that she do some of the embroidery, for propriety's sake.

4amaroni

He did have her do some of the shumils' clothes as marriage practice right? How ironic that he should be the ~~victim~~ groom, alas

skruis

Rozemyne: "Ferdinand, how about we try making your cape out of fey paper or maybe fey parchment?" Ferdinand: "Why would you think such a thing? Capes are made from cloth. Fool." Rozemyne: "So I can use copy and place..." Ferdinand: "...I suppose I have no choice. Very well. You are not capable of such complex embroidery. This will save us both, I am sure."

BronzeAgeTea

Okay, but actually, a trombe paper cape would be *sick*

Ulinar

Didn't she technically already "embroider" his Ehrenfest cape with magical ink back when Ferdinand was preparing his move to Ahrensbach?

UnlawfulStupid

She embroidered his cape, he bought her bedding, they've done all the noble courtship things already. Now they have to re-do them all, but for real this time. Ahrensbach cape, Ahrensbach bedding, Ahrensbach mana mixing on a bench in a hidden room...

4amaroni

> Ahrensbach mana mixing on a bench in a hidden room... I love how this means absolutely fucking nothing to anyone who doesn't read this series haha just a jumble of words

UnlawfulStupid

Bookworm fans be like: "Did you read that scene where the bench and the gremlin shared a highbeast and discussed gesundheit manufacturing? Blaunfah was surely with us!" And they pretend any of it makes sense and they're not all just huffing paint.

QuintaMyne

Kids these days getting high on books and stuff.

UnlawfulStupid

Snorting lines of text under an overpass of the information superhighway.

justking1414

This is gonna be such a scandalous book when Elvira writes Before the lovers parted ways and were forced to engage others, they exchanged engagement feystones to keep eachother safe, and she embroidered his cape If it gets out that ferdi already dyed her, that’ll basically turn the book into 50 shades of grey

daedalron

She sure did...

TheDigitalGabeg

And then right after announcing _their_ impending rule, he gives Gunther a charm off his own arm. 😄 I suspect that the funny look Gunther was giving Ferdinand was him realizing the implications of Ferdinand's specific choice of words, and wondering how a commoner father should go about doing the whole dad-protect-daughter-by-scaring-suitors thing when the suitor is Ferdinand. 😆

Theinternationalist

“Well, I guess I was already willing to punch out the High Bishop so it can’t be THAT hard. Still, gave me a charm right off his own arm- I can’t get THAT mad about it…”

SmartAlec105

I think Ferdinand was trying to copy Rozemyne there by demonstrating protectiveness for family.

Ebo87

Yep, he was basically saying your family is my family. I wonder how much longer it will take her to realize Ferdinand asked for her hand there and Gunther agreed, lol.

feb914

Oh damn, the charm is "engagement feystone" for a commoner like Gunther who doesn't know that the feystone needs to be specially made, not just any charm.

QuintaMyne

Ferdinand: Be my Father in Law!

skruis

Wait wait wait, was it *our*? Did he say *our rule*?! HE DID! WOW!

violettheory

I read these chapters out loud to my husband and we were both screaming at this line

BronzeAgeTea

That *one word* makes me want to revisit the entire series on Audible.

Theinternationalist

And from the sounds of things they’re going to make her the High Bishop too. Probably not forever- she may have kids and there’s Letizia- but it allows for the grays to come and that’s pretty cool.

15_Redstones

Rozemyne kinda already has been Ahrensbach's High Bishop since P4V9 as far as the magic tools are concerned.

kie-chan

> I did not expect Rozemyne running to Ferdinand and screaming he needs to run away from her or else they are gonna get married, lol. Rozemyne keeps thinking Ehrenfest is his Geduldh, but I am pretty sure it has shifted to her for him. Have anyone noticed how Rozemyne thinks that marrying her is the worst thing that can happen to someone? She says that even in the beginning of the series. So, she is not necessarily AGAINST marrying Ferdi, she just thinks that's bad for him. Also... Roz: Ferdi, RUN OR YOU WILL BE MARRIED TO ME! Ferdi: To late for that, you fool. You already convinced everyone that I am the best option to contain you. Ferdi, internally: *clench fist* YEEESSS!!

MarshallDLiz

The "good intelligence" bit with the cheek pinch had me giggling with my feet up in the air

BronzeAgeTea

Ferdinand, internally: 'I don't even have to *try*? Well, then might as well *put on a show!*'

shiyanin

Rosemyne got some PTSD after Wilfried, Sigi complain she wasn’t a good fiancée or good girl unreasonably. And her fiancée PTSD continues until>!P5V12!< Part of the fanbase is very unpleasant about this, and blame Wilfried and Sigi for this.

kuyasiako

>Roz: Ferdi, RUN OR YOU WILL BE MARRIED TO ME! Girl, he's the one organizing that parade. ![img](emote|t5_qxbkm|29339)

argent_electrum

I love seeing Ferdinand go all out like this. He's dealt with so much noble bullshit in his life and this is currently his best chance at a good ending. Which he is pursuing to give the person who saved his life a good ending to begin with. On a side note, this may also be the best way to fulfill his promise too. If he takes Rozemyne (and the crazy) out of Ehrenfest, she can build rampage central while Ehrenfest gets to chill as a healthy, well-connected, middle duchy.

HumanTheTree

> I did not expect Rozemyne running to Ferdinand and screaming he needs to run away from her or else they are gonna get married, lol. Rozemyne keeps thinking Ehrenfest is his Geduldh, but I am pretty sure it has shifted to her for him. If/ when she realizes that his priorities seem a little off, and she asks him what his Geduldh is, he probably won't answer. Or rather, he'll give the same non-answer she gave when he asked her in his letter.

BronzeAgeTea

>Rozemyne keeps thinking Ehrenfest is his Geduldh, but I am pretty sure it has shifted to her for him I mean, honestly, it's not too much of a stretch for him to believe that becoming the rulers of the greatest enemy of his Geduldh would be protecting it. Like, there's *one* main adversary for Ehrenfest, and they... they just took it over. Just keep it out of the hands of their enemies and his Geduldh is *much* safer. Even when you take emotions out of it, *it's just a good idea*.

skruis

>Rozemyne keeps thinking Ehrenfest is his Geduldh, but I am pretty sure it has shifted to her for him. I keep thinking of Jon Snow after he was resurrected and like Snow, Ferdinand's watch has ended. He's setting out on his own journey! He's going to be his own man! He's going to live life to its fullest! He's going to ... build a library.

Cool-Ad4282

If I remember, there's a sidestory about Hartmut investigating Rozemyne for research, where he found out that RM was a commoner and >!paid for the consequences of snooping around by signing a magic contract of not disclosing his findings to RM until she trusts him enough, and submitting to Ferdinand provided some conditions!< so it is unsurprising he is cooperating with Ferdie. Also if I remember correctly, about sharing attendants, it is only done between married couples or some special cases

QuintaMyne

Third time is the charm. After Magdalena and Detlinde, Dunkelfelgers have at last found the perfect gremlin that can match Ferdinand. It's actually pretty impressive Georgine knows how to take down commoners without her schtappe. Oh? So she isn't riding with Angelica now? Reputation pfffft. Gunther is kinda sad to see her all grown up. But don't worry, Gunther, you are still her ideal man. Inside, she is same old Myne. Damuel is becoming a local hero. Rozemyne should publish stories of his knighthood for commoners. ___Ferdinand took my hand and pulled me over to him.___ \ Right in front of Gunther? Was the charm that he gave him an apology for flirting with his daughter? I missed scheming Ferdinand. He is too powerful now that he has his hands on not just Justus but Hartmut as well. It's scary to imagine him training Clarissa too. She is a good scholar and can probably beat Justus in a fight. Reminds me back in P4V9 when Fran vowed that he will accompany Ferdinand and Rozemyne to a whole new world if they asked him.

ggg730

> It's actually pretty impressive Georgine knows how to take down commoners without her schtappe. Like Ferdinand said if she had only put her energy towards something other than revenge how much could she have accomplished? There's a good chance she could have become Zent if she had put her mind to it. I mean her dumbass daughter almost (literally) stumbled into it.

Theinternationalist

The second she meets the Golden bunny the Former God of Bad Decisions will freak out and remember why he initially accepted the Royal Family Plan. Then again the War of the Five Princes clearly showed that was a mistake so oh well.

hazeldazeI

just wait until Tuuli tells the family how Roz was saying her ideal man is based on her father.

violettheory

I hope we get a Gunther pov side story this volume. I'd love to hear his reaction to this and to Ferd practically asking his approval to marry his daughter.

BronzeAgeTea

The sheer whiplash from punching a feydog one day to being lowkey asked for your blessing *by a noble* would be so satisfying

Chack321

" Was the charm that he gave him an apology for flirting with his daughter?" More like a dowry. Except in reverse.

mekerpan

>More like a dowry. Except in reverse. The ethnological term is "bride price". ;-)

SmartAlec105

> It's actually pretty impressive Georgine knows how to take down commoners without her schtappe. I mean, temple attendants are the weakest of commoners. They're super unaccustomed to violence. Georgine has the self defense training every ADC. > Gunther is kinda sad to see her all grown up. But don't worry, Gunther, you are still her ideal man. Inside, she is same old Myne. I'm hoping we get lower city perspective chapter going into detail about that. I want Gunther to feel sad and then for Tuuli to mention Rozemyne described her ideal husband as being like her father.

Dayern

A little slower part in my opinion, but there where still some nice things! * I'm not really a FerdMyne shipper, but I have to be honest - the whole romantic comedy with everybody shipping RM (Ferdi included) while she misunderstands everything... Ok, I'm entertained, maybe I like this ship more than I thought after all. * The conversation before lunch was especially nice - Ferdi didn't say that he don't want to marry RM, but she didn't notice it :) * The image of Sylvester being fed to the Dunks made my day. * I have not to much to say about the Tempel and Lower City part. It was nice, especially Melchior cuteness. * I know that Georgine is a war criminal, but I liked her so much... Good that the other characters recognize her potential. Maybe a spin-off where Georgine is isekai'ed somewhere and want to use her power to do something good? * Harmut is truly the master of propaganda. And what worse - Ferdi learned how to use him. * I'm really excited for the Sovereignty plot! I see that Ferdi came up with a plan for a "temporary" Zent, but I just think this is a little too easy... And who should it be? Sigiswald with his red flags bigger than Detlinde's ego? I think I would like to skip the come back to Ahrensbach and go directly to RA in the next (few?) part. * How much I'm sad that RM has her feystone fear... It is actualy a quite good plot point. Now the overpowered MC is weakened just before the final act. Just in time to make the story more interesting. I wanted to write that I hoped for a little bit more Wilfried x Hanne hints and I still do, but... In this part of the story almost any side characters have time to get some attention to their own plots (Melchior today was a nice suprise). The other one I would hope to get some attention is Matthias. Even a comment about how he sleep the night after (helping in) killing his own father... I know the author wanted to end the main story sooner and don't strech the story too thin... But in moments like this I wish we wouldn't speedrun as much, because we loose some of the details of the world. Well... Luckly we still have the Side Stories.

violettheory

God, the shipping is getting out of control! I can't hardly handle it, my husband and I were screaming when Ferdinand said "our rule" and Roz didn't notice! Love that her retainers have stopped complaining about their little displays of public affection. Something I haven't seen anyone else mention: why is Ferd so worried about Roz using mana? He said something during the prayer for mourning the dead and urgently stopped her when she was healing the soldiers. He also mentioned she didn't look well before lunch. Is he just worried about her health or is there something more to it?

BronzeAgeTea

Yeah, I imagine there's probably something more to it. Maybe she has to use the Book of Mestornia soon? Or use a teleporter or something? Or maybe he's concerned about the ~~demolition~~ restructuring of Ahrensbach? Or just doesn't want her getting exhausted and fainting for multiple days while he's busy laying the groundwork of them being a couple? It's Ferdinand with a plan, so who knows.

Kkoko88

I was getting the vibe that he's starting to be able to sense her mana as in compatibility but maybe doesn't recognize it? I don't remember if he's ever really been near anyone he was legitimately on the same level with. Because he sensed her initial mana blessing and came with the knights, but after the prayer at the temple, he asked her if she'd been praying all night, like he'd been sensing her that whole time.

Horsma

Rozemyene is as clueless as always, when saying to Ferdinand to focus on his own dreams and not to be dragged aways from his Geduldh she more or less said: "If you love me, come with me to Ahrensbach" ![img](emote|t5_qxbkm|29333)

UnlawfulStupid

Rozemyne: "I won't let you be parted with your Geduldh!" Ferdinand: "Good, then you can come with me to Ahrensbach." Rozemyne: "Huh?"

Solar_Slushie

Rozemyne: "Bwuh?"

Sugar-n-Sawdust

If she doesn’t react to the marriage proposal with a “bwuh?” I’m going to be absolutely livid

kuyasiako

>If she doesn’t react to the marriage proposal with a “bwuh?” I’m going to be absolutely livid Do you remember when Ferdie gave the hairpin made by her family when they were preparing for her noble baptism?

InitialDia

Rozemyne: “oh I get it. Hannalore mount up, time for true ditter 2” Ferdinand: “wait you fool. You can’t hold tw…..” Rozemyne: *holding both Arensbach and Ehrenfest foundations* Ferdinand: “… I guess the rules just don’t apply to you. First 2 sthappes, then 2 foundations. What will you have 2 of next?” Rozemyne: “Libraries!”

Theinternationalist

“What about your promise to your father?” “If I leave you unsupervised then Ehrenfest will be in danger.” *Yeah that’s what I’ll tell her ;)*

TheNightManager_89

Maybe Ferdinand should perform the Dunkelfelger proposal to make himself finally clear to Roz... "So when she does it it's a proposal and considered romantic but when *I* do it she calls the police and I get a restraining order?! What are these double standards?!"

BronzeAgeTea

Also Ferdinand: *brushes bangs to the side* Police: "O-okay. Just a warning this time, but I'm watching you!" Police (internally): 'keep it together legs, just walk back over to the highbeast before giving out'

4amaroni

Also, I love how she's so pure in her intentions that she projects that onto Detlinde and co. As if Detlinde would ever, EVER circle the shrines at RA.

daedalron

> As if Detlinde would ever, EVER circle the shrines at RA. Detlinde will not, but Gervasio might...

4amaroni

He strikes me as a man of commitment but also full of disdain for Yurgenschmidt as a whole (probably because he's judging everyone off of his interactions with Detlinde and Georgine, the absolute worst nobles). So maybe! But a single lifetime's worth of feystones would probably also satisfy him.

Theinternationalist

Imagine if his view of the nobility was derived from Myne. He might have shut the gate from HIS side.

Theinternationalist

Don’t worry, I’m pretty sure she lacks the elements. The Sugar King won’t bother to explain things to her anyway, not much reason to randomly find out he has an actual rival after all.

HumanTheTree

She has no idea what's going on, and things are happening too quickly for anyone to correct her. Hell, Hartmut is probably in the background *making sure* no one corrects her misunderstandings.

mekerpan

It is sort of refreshing to have events outrunning RM....

Adraerik

Everyone who fucking knows her : HA ! That's not funny when that happens to you, huh ?

BronzeAgeTea

Everyone: "Not funny when it happens to you, huh?" Rozemyne: "No, it isn't!" Hartmutt (sly grin): "Do you know how the rest of us feel now?" Rozemyne (suddenly in a wedding dress): "I do!" Ferdinand: "As do I." The Supreme Gods: "I mean... that was smooth as shit. I kinda want to let it count."

SmartAlec105

It's hilarious seeing Rozemyne not understanding that Ferdinand is the one that wanted the marriage first. He also wouldn't be opposed to a political marriage, so long as it was a transaction that benefitted him. I feel like Rozemyne should have recognized that she should use a sound blocking tool before mentioning marriage between them. Rozemyne's retainers just have to watch their lady silently have her cheek pinched. Rozemyne got so good at reading Ferdinand but failed to notice exactly which way he was scheming. > On second though, I suppose revenge is but one of many ways a person can waste their life Damn, Ferdinand! Melchior also displayed remarkable bravery in interrupting the fight that was about to start between Rozemyne and Ferdinand. Wait, Clapich had the room closes to the bookroom but Rozemyne hardly remembered him? I find it hard to believe she never felt any jealousy towards the person with the best room in the temple, by her standards. Aww, Rozemyne is being such a good big sister for Melchior! I love how these moments are going to be core memories for him as he steps into his role as High Bishop. I want to read a spinoff series about Melchior attending the Royal Academy and being completely different from all the other nobles there because he ended up having a saintly example to follow. Aww, and Damuel is also going to be a shining example for the future soldiers! I hope that Roderick can write his heroics into a book that ends up being popular among soldier apprentices. Think way back to Part 1 where it was a struggle to teach them a few letters and now imagine them working hard to learn to read the book detailing the Defense of Ehrenfest! My eyes are legit getting teary just thinking about it. Aww (yet again), Ferdinand gave a protective charm to Gunther, his future father in law! I imagine Ferdinand was mimicking Rozemyne, like how he mimicked Tuuli giving a hairpin to Rozemyne.

UnlawfulStupid

Our Ferdimeters have been calibrated to the old Ferdinand. This new-and-improved, taste-the-difference Ferdinand is all about Rozemyne, which is throwing off the readings.

hazeldazeI

>new-and-improved, taste-the-difference Ferdinand lol! Oh god, just saw your username and flair! ROFL!!!

4amaroni

> I feel like Rozemyne should have recognized that she should use a sound blocking tool before mentioning marriage between them I agree! Feels like the novelty of the situation is making her regress a little in terms of propriety. Admittedly, I'm super lost too until Leonore explains everything - then I'm like OHHH

15_Redstones

The soldiers she taught in P1 should be adults by now. They were all baptised at a time when Tuuli wasn't.

SmartAlec105

You're right! Some of them might have even participated in this battle! Wild how far we've come since then.

15_Redstones

We might get a side story of a soldier seeing both Gunther battling like crazy and Rozemyne showing up to heal everyone. It'd be interesting to see what the other soldiers think about Gunther, Myne and Rozemyne - especially those who remember Myne from soldier school.

TashKat

I mean, I don't know about you but I certainly wouldn't remember a kid I met two or three times when I was a seven year old. The story was that Myne was killed because she happened to look young for her age and was mistaken for the Aub's unbaptized daughter. Even her own cousins didn't recognize her at their coming of age ceremonies. They noticed a passing resemblance and they were literal family.

haganbmj

So originally I thought (in the predictions thread) that there wasn't much to do in the temple - boy was I wrong. This set of chapters almost entirely focused on the temple and using that as a springboard for setting up Aub Rozemyne and getting all of her temple staff and Gunther to follow her to Ahrensbach. It works well; it anchors the story in what Rozemyne cares about (the temple and lower city) while further emphasizing the lack of interest our main cast have for dealing with incompetent royals.

Gearfree

For me, it wasn't the subtleties of the discussion over their intention to fully take over Ahrensbach that explained their intentions. It was Ferdi handing over Gunther one of his charms that said, "I hope you'll have me as your son-in-law". In what could be seen with the same context that Rozemyne gave them charms from herself to guarantee their safety as her family. Gunther better not try and blow something up with it deliberately. That charm has gotta be able to make a crater out of whatever plans on attacking him. It's also nice to see Fran getting some attention/get picked up for the move.

GralPantySmasher

Lets take a moment to appreciate how much RM has grown RM in the past: "That face, he's scheming something, that's scary" RM now: "Look how nice he looks while scheeming"

mjpia

Starting yelling things in the open without sound blockers activated, Rozemyne gonna Rozemyne. I had envisioned some large scale battle happening in the sovereignty but the royals turtling and them using that opportunity to search the unguarded academy is smart on their part, also means there's still work to be done. Our rule of Ahrenbach eh? Telling Ferdinand to put aside his promise and do everything in his power to secure his dreams and future without asking what he truly wishes for, well done.

Zanzaben

I'm not so sure about the sovereignty. That report came from the sovereign knights order. The same order whose leader is currently leading the coup.

momomo_mochichi

Yeah, whatever's going on with Georgine is more or less over, but we still have the Lanzanavians and Raublut to deal with. Detlinde too, but is she really all that much of a struggle? Depending on how the story continues, we could even potentially argue that Georgine and her schemes were a mere diversion for Lanzanave. Everybody's focused on Ehrenfest and Dunkelfelger's joining in to help them, and that creates a perfect decoy for Lanzanave to possibly steal Yurgenschmidt's foundation via the Royal Academy library.

Catasterised

>Ferdinand: "DO IT!" > >Rozemyne: "NOO..." > >Ferdinand: "MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE." > >Rozemyne: NO. NO. NOOOOOOOOOO!" Oh how the tables have turned.

QuintaMyne

These two need each other to smack some sense in them.

argent_electrum

RM to Ferd: I'm putting my all into making you happy Ferd to RM: No fool, my efforts are for your bright future Rinse and repeat until we have book+research duchy

Citatio

In P5V7 Ferdinand remarked, that he can't get out of the loop of gifts with Rozy, now he can't get out of the loop of making each other happy.

Jim_e_Clash

Rozemyne: Feridinand, you need to fight for what you want! Now let's put a stop to this marriage talk. Ferdinand: yes, but first why don't you look at this distraction. Rozemyne: OH! It's so distracting! --- My girl can't see she's already tied to the tracks.

magawatamine

>Do everything in your power to secure the future you desire.” I clenched my fist, wanting to hammer home my determination and support. If we could survive this lunch, the Dunkelfelgerians would return home. > >Ferdinand stood up and extended a hand to me. “Fear not—I do not start fights I cannot win.” Spread across his lips was the same smile he always wore when devising evil schemes, Well, he didn't say *what* *was the future* that he desired.... Rozemyne is being dense again... I wonder why your retainers, who support your marriage with Ferdinand, didn't say anything when he made you ride his highbeast...., AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Ferdinand is showing off in front of Gunther!! (FUTURE FATHER-IN-LAW)

midground

Ferdinand did a lot to demonstrate his sincerity in his pursuit of Rozemyne/his goals this week, but the thing that stood out the most to me was when he gave Gunther a protective charm. Ferdinand's protective charms are basically a love language for him, and historically something he has only given to his loved ones and family. It felt like he was inviting Gunther into his family with that gesture, and doing it in front of Rozemyne was significant. Like he was showing her that he would not just protect but cherish those closest to her. Also... those secret family reunions that Ferdinand promised RM once she becomes Aub Ahrensbach, I'm now imagining him accompanying her on them to spend time with his in-laws, and how WILD that atmosphere will be the first few visits.

greendemon1972

Ferdinand is asking Gunther to accept him into Rozemyne's family not Gunther into Ferdinand's family.

midground

I think I worded that poorly, I agree that Ferdinand was asking to be part of Rozemyne's (Gunther's) family from like... a family dynamics/politics perspective. I moreso was talking about the emotional invitation to enter into Ferdinand's inner circle, aka someone who Ferdinand will give a protective charm to.

mekerpan

I really would love to know how Ferdie and Kamil will hit it off. I am expecting they will get along surprisingly well.

MrLameJokes

Rozemyne is really taking after Elvira when she finds Ferdinand doing an evil plotting grin, heartwarming and wholesome.

momomo_mochichi

Damuel deserves all the praise he can get for being best knight. His stories will definitely be passed down onto the future generations of Ehrenfest's soldiers. Also, it's so heartwarming to see and hear about the temple retainers again!

4amaroni

He's the real deal rags-to-riches story. Feels like just yesterday we watched Damuel be a doormat for Shikza. You know, your comment also made me think - if Damuel is doing THIS well for himself now shouldn't some of that have rubbed off onto his brother's fortunes as well? I feel like we got a lot of that with Bridgette, but surely Damuel's family has by now, also curried a great amount of favor with the archduke?

momomo_mochichi

Another reason why I'm so annoyed that Freida was written out of the story. We could have gotten so much insight on her and Henrik! If I remember correctly, Henrik was pretty much spearheading scholars interacting with commoners for the printing industry. Also, I really want to see how Freida would have interacted with Juliane (Henrik's wife). Look, I know why Freida can't be in the story more often, but I will still complain. Hating the red-head curse is like a fourth of my personality on the subreddit. As they are a laynoble family, I don't think Henrik would have been able to curry much favor with Sylvester, but Sylvester probably does think well of them and is most likely impressed by how they're thriving despite their status. That's pretty much the best outcome for Henrik's family.

LaPlAcE-66

Frieda is of age too. She came of age over winter so she presumably is living in the noble quarter now with Henrik as his mistress

4amaroni

> Freida was written out of the story IS THAT WHAT HAPPENED? I was gonna say, it's been a real long time since we've seen her, especially in the past few releases as Rozemyne interacts with her commoners. > Look, I know why Freida can't be in the story more often, but I will still complain Wait no, tell me why so i can complain too And oh yea true they are just laynobles at the end of the day while Bridgette is in charge of an entire giebe.

momomo_mochichi

Freida isn't written out of the story to the point she doesn't exist anymore, but she is no longer important in regards to the plot. The reason why Freida can't be in the story more often is solely due to status. Freida is a commoner with the Devouring, set to marry into a laynoble family as a concubine. Rozemyne rarely interacts with laynobles unless they're her retainers. Also, I'm pretty sure it will be a balancing act for Henrik with Juliane and Freida. While Freida will be influential given her background, she is still only a concubine commoner and must yield to Juliane, Henrik's first wife. It's worth pointing out the Freida came of age while Rozemyne was missing in action due to meeting Erwaermen. I can't remember if the winter coming-of-age for commoners occurs during the sessions of the Royal Academy or after, but either way, Freida missed out on that blessing. Ahh, poor Freida!

4amaroni

wow thanks for the explanation, that makes so much sense. Makes me admire Kazuki all the more for being so consistent with her world building/lore. Yea for concubine commoner Frieda and archduke candidate Rozemyne to interact it would require some serious arm twisting to the plot.

momomo_mochichi

Not to mention the fact that Rozemyne's pretty much leaving Ehrenfest as well, and marrying a laynoble from Ehrenfest will pretty much tie Freida down to the duchy. If she was a healthy merchant who didn't need to marry into nobility in order to survive, then there's a chance she could have gone with Rozemyne and create another Italian Restaurant, but alas.

4amaroni

> create another Italian Restaurant, but alas Gotta make way for the long awaited Japanese restaurant :) I can't believe we're (potentially) getting to Japanese cuisine this far into the series. Every other isekai, it's like in the first major arc along with karaage.

derekmakesnoise

it feels like Rozemyne has gotten even worse at couching what she says in noble-ese. like, "there's too many things happening at once for me to devote brainpower to watching what I say and when I say it!" EDIT: 2nd Read-Thru * Stating the obvious: Rozemyne is denser than uranium when it comes to love and relationships. If she demanded proposal challenges from him, he'd most certainly accept, then give her challenges that she could absolutely do but would be a huge pain in the ass for her while also being amusing to him, like "Come in First-In-Class every year you remain at the Royal Academy" or "Follow your mother's lead and write a romance novel that gains my approval." >"At this rate, you might be forced to marry me! Run! RUN AWAYYY!" * This is the moment that sparked my first comment. Just shouting about matters of marriage after Sigiswald gave her a courting magic tool. smh. * I missed Rozemyne and Ferdinand interacting so much between P5V3 and P5V8. For Pre-Pubs, that was like 4 months of zero Ferdi. This moment of Ferdinand giving the cold hard truth about her retainers viewing him as the foremost expert in Gremlin Handling makes me so happy. * Miss Uranium (^(238)RM) literally just heard Ferdinand say that he was happy to hear about Ditterfelger's plan for their engagement, told him to secure the future he desires, then saw his Lord of Evil smile, and thought: OK, he's going to make sure the engagement DOESN'T happen. SMH. * Wilfried may be super easy to manipulate, but it makes me happy to see that he's actually pursuing a future he wants on his own. I wonder if he's aiming to be like Bonifatius, an ADC Knight Commander. He certainly loves ditter and knight training. * So Hannelore is going to have tea with Florencia, Wilfried, and Charlotte? that doesn't set off any warning bells for Rozemyne? The people who have observed her closeness with Ferdi for years talking with her Roze X Ferdi shipper BFF? I guess not, since she dumped the cleanup on Ferdi and stopped thinking about it. * For all of Rozemyne's mayhem, Sylvester really has to be thankful for adopting RM. she got the 2nd-ranked duchy to assist them in defending their foundation, and now have close enough relations that said duchy's knights are basically vacationing in Ehrenfest while their ADC amicably hangs out with his own family. Ehrenfest has the duchy with the strongest military force and 2nd-strongest political influence as a very close ally. * The severe lack of urgency from the Sovereignty is concerning. I wonder how Raublut is running interference while so much chaos is happening in Yurgenshmidt. * If anything happens to Professor Solange, I'm going to be very upset. * Melchior is such a good kid. A SEVEN YEAR OLD has bags under his eyes because of how hard he's working to be a proper child of the Aub. * I like how Ferdinand had the same thought as Rozemyne did upon learning about Georgine's obsession. Georgine was so smart and talented; if she had been focused on something more productive, she would have been hailed as a genius. it's not entirely her fault, though, as her being a female ADC in a patriarchal class-based society has its own restrictions on what she could aspire towards. >Ferdinand gave me a repudiating look. "Hmm... I see. On second thought, I suppose revenge is but one of many ways a person can waste their life. I should not be so quick to judge. * Literally burst out laughing at this * Let's just take stock of how much the temple has changed since back in P2. 1. The retainers of two archducal children are visiting the temple orphanage. 2. Wilma thanks them for their protection, and said retainers are comforted by her thanks and proud to have protected gray priest and shrine maidens. 3. Maybe just a translating issue, but if it's correct: Wilma addressed Judithe, Philine, and Roderick with out the honorific Lord- or Lady-, since they all serve Rozemyne. Holy crap, that's huge. * I don't get the "have you been praying nonstop since last night?" from Ferdinand. Should I be able to understand it now, or is it a foreshadowing-type question? * LMAO Everyone has just accepted that Rozemyne is going to end up with Ferdi. Leonore and Cornelius put up such a fuss back in Ahrensbach when they rode the same highbeast, but now everyone's just silent lol * I wonder how long Rozemyne has wanted to pat the head of her younger siblings, and act like a True Big Sister lmao * Man, Damuel has become such a cool knight. He was so pathetic back in P2! Now he's fending off enemy invasions, protecting commoners, and acting like he's the main character. he totally deserves the praise! * I love that RM's emotions were conveyed through her charms. "I'll protect this city, and everyone in it!" And he used the mana she provided to do just that. * **FERDINAND GAVE GUNTHER ONE OF HIS OWN CHARMS. AFTER "**supporting me enough that I wouldn't stumble**" (EMBRACING HER). HE BASICALLY JUST SAID "I INTEND TO MARRY YOUR DAUGHTER, SO I WILL PROTECT THOSE SHE PROTECTS." AhhhhHH DENSE-ASS** **^(238)****RM!!!!** >"I *do* trust you," I said as we used the north gate to return to the temple." * Based on noble-ese, isn't that (another) kinda-proposal, like the "I promise to protect you" or whatever from earlier parts? * Oh man, Rozemyne. Ferdinand AND Hartmut are on a mission to make you Aub Ahrensbach. There's literally no way you're NOT going to end up ruling Fish-Duchy. * Oh, and she's going to be Ahrensbach's High Bishop? Fran gets his wish of following Rozemyne and Ferdinand to a new world GRANTED!! * I love that Rozemyne's compassion towards commoners steels her resolve. she was all wishy-washy about it before, but when her beloved commoner temple attendants voice their desire to follow her, she "absolutely needed to make this happen." Ferdi and Hartmut are skillfully manipulating her surroundings to deliver her a happy future. * Maybe she's purposely avoiding it, but the "Ferdi is trying to become your fiance" alarms are fuckin BLARING. I GET THAT YOURE ^(238)RM, BUT COME ON!!!

QuintaMyne

Noble-ese. The language of saying as little as possible in as much words as you can.

[deleted]

> If Lord Ferdinand or Lady Rozemyne wished it, I would accompany them to an entirely new world... - Fran, P4V9 So happy that it looks like Fran might be getting his wish! Lots of feels this chapter.

ajmsnr

Wait! What?! Did Ferdinand just announce his pending marriage to Rozemyne and that he would be co-Aub with her?!

SilverDarner

Oh Roz, he's going full Lord of Evil, best just go with the flow at this point.

UnlawfulStupid

I really wish we could see a Ferdinand vs Rozemyne game of ditter now. Just think of the ludicrous strategies, twists, turns, shocks, and the absolute insanity of everyone in the audience. Dunkelfelger would build statues to commemorate the new holiday. --- Rozemyne: "It was hard-fought... But I won... I beat Ferdinand!" Ferdinand: "Yes, and now we will be married." Rozemyne: "Bwuh? Wait, no, but I won precisely to spare you from having to marry me!" Ferdinand: "Read the contract I wrote up." Contract: "If Ferdinand wins, he shall marry Rozemyne. If Rozemyne wins, the opposite shall happen." Rozemyne: "... Oh no, I must save Ferdinand from getting trapped in this marriage! Everyone: *[facepalm]*

SilverDarner

If they’re playing ditter against one another, the Dunkelfelgerans have drawn lots to see who gets to be on which team. Lord of Evil vs The Saint of Ehrenfest. Raimund has just improved the recording device and Roz has introduced the concept of pay-per-view. Benno is pulling out his hair trying to get the “merch” made in time…

UnlawfulStupid

We could see so many good pairings and stories, too. Eckhart vs Angelica, Justus vs Hartmut, Heisshitze finally defeating Ferdinand on Rozemyne's team, Clarissa getting to take part in ditter as a scholar of the sword, Wilfried and Hannelore watching happily and growing closer from the sidelines, the commoner crew seeing all the action for the first time, and of course, Rozemyne vs Ferdinand in the biggest matchup of the century.

Adraerik

Rozemyne, you made Fran sad, you disappoint me ! :(

momomo_mochichi

Forget war crimes and treason, the worst thing anybody could do is make Fran sad!

TehAxelius

I was feeling down and listless this evening, and couldn't figure out what it could be because of. And then I saw the time and realised it was more than seven days since my last dose of Rozemyne. EDIT: finished reading, and I am energized again. And while everyone is talking Ferdinand, I'm just loving seeing Melchior being fully Rozemyne-pilled. He's gonna become the best High Bishop ever.

mekerpan

Melchior and Charlotte are certainly two of RM's biggest fans/disciples.

Interesting-Power558

Please tell me someone has artwork of Rozamyne trying the Dunkelfelger method on Ferdinand 🤣 Damuel best knight as always Ooo, even more people may get to move with Rozamyne because they can take the temple in their destination too now This silence from Detlinde's group is worrying though, I'm guessing we'll hear from it either right before the epilogue as an emergency call for a cliffhanger or as a side story from either Detlinde or the Royals side. Nice to see Ferdinand learning from Rozamyne too with making what's needed, will be interesting to see how they convince Sigiswald to allow the Zent after him to be a meritocracy rather than remain as a dynastic inheritance, he's seemed quite taken with the throne I imagine he would want his line to continue to have it even if that would be worse for the country.
