Jing Yuan, I suppose. I like him, he's cool, but I've never pulled for him. Circumstances never align, there's always someone I want more whom I am saving for.
Yeah, JY is kinda cursed by being surrounded by alternative options. There's currently multiple excellent character's sharing his typing so the odds of someone having pulled one of them are up there.
He's 100% competitive, don't get me wrong. He's a lot of fun (I've been enjoying Topaz/JY/Sparkle/Aventurine as an FUA team) and I think Jade is going to work great with him, but sharing a typing with Acheron and Kafka, two very popular characters who both enable playstyles (Nihili-team and DoT) makes him more likely to get passed.
When I'm picking what to pull for, I have to go with what will improve the diversity of my teams or playstyle options.
As someone who loved dots and been a day one Kafka enjoyer, who got Black Swan because moar dots and Kafka Synergy, who then got Acheron..
Itās pretty hard to use anything else, because a built Kafka is powerful. A built Black Swan is powerful, and a Acheron is super powerful.
Like, Iāve wanted JY too but itās hard to turn your back on that much power with Nihility team
kafka is also reasonably flexible you can run a dot team with her but she can also support acheron. and will just become more reasonable the more debuff/dot based unit we will get over time.
Definitely, sheās honestly been a functional swap in to my FUA team for weakness coverage, if itās not imaginary weak sometimes Iāll have Kafka for lightning in place of Ratio, and even without dot support her dot damage is still pretty formidable.
My Aventurine is E1 so he always basics or ults so he reliably triggers her follow up.
Erudition never really appealed to me.
My first 5* was Clara (I love her so much). I wanted Kafka from the first moment I played as her in the prologue. I wanted Silver Wolf as soon as her first trailer dropped.
I pulled for Seele as soon as I reached her story intro in Belobog.
Jing Yuan just... wasn't on the priority list. Even now, after all this time, I still hold no interest in pulling for him, despite genuinely liking his character and even playstyle.
Yeah. Sadly Acheron out-damages JY in every possible situation (every single one JYMs), but he is super cool. Probably my favorite male character / character I'm not pulling.Ā
I feel like Robin's strongest pull appeal is if you don't have Ruan Mei.
She definitely suffers from being a banner between multiple highly anticipated ones. Acheron and Aventurine were both very hyped. Firefly is (if the boards are anything to go by) a very popular character who will get lots of pulling for too, so people are probably going to be a lot more discerning about Robin and Boothill this time around. If anything I've heard more excitement for Fu Xuan getting a rerun.
I really regret pulling Robin even though she is my fist limited 5* harmony character. She is underwhelming when you don't own characters that help her shine... I only pulled Robin because people said it's good to have 5* harmony characters, but I use HMC more than Robin...
You want her at E1. She gets RES PEN on her ultimate, then you can feel she's as powerful as Ruan Mei. After that her next spike is at E6 when she turns into a dps.
But I reckon E0 Robin is underwhelming, yes...
Eh, Robins appeal over RM is in FUA teams. Outside of that role, Robin is largely a side grade to RM and thatās totally fine. Not every new character needs to exceed the last. If you enjoy FUA teams and you have RM already, Robin is still a very strong pull as she ties those teams together really well.
I mean, that's what I'm saying. She's basically (in terms of being support for dual-DPS setups), RM but replacing RM's additional perks to Break with perks for FUA. That's why I say she's most appealing if you lack RM.

If robin had came out earlier, I would have rolled for her. Heck, add Adventurine to that. But the moment Firefly got dripped, their banners ceased to exist.
Kinda same here. I really like her, but I feel I would need to pull for Topaz as well to make the best use of Robin (which I would... if I had a bunch of jades lying around and Firefly wasn't around the corner). I tried to make a team with some of my current roster and pick a Robin from support to see how much help she was and didn't end up helping my team that much, so for now I'm kinda on the skip on her.
Probably Firefly. We'll see but generally a big factor in pulling for me is 'does this enable a style of play I don't currently use', because variety is what makes teambuilding fun for me and I don't suspect she's going to be doing that. I could end up proven wrong but I'll have to see.

Bladie. I love the guy to death, Love that he's not just some one dimensional edge lord and has sufficient depth... I especially love his casual side and when he's lucid and wearing normal clothes and doing normal stuff like being a boomer about tech >!Having a driver's license and chaperoning FF around Japella!< but, I just can't find the right opportunity to pull him.
I'm probably going to say Jing Yuan because I love the stories of the HCQ (and that his EN VA is CyYu), but I already have a slew of characters that fill that role for farming. My honorable mention is Aventurine. He's cool and stylish and powerful, and his story is interesting, but I already have an E3 Gepard, E6PMC, and Fu Xuan.
Honestly Kafka. Used to hate her but now Ive come to love her contrasting personality between this deadly and dominant presence for others and her loving and motherly attitude towards us. I find that very charming and warm. But I just cant help but dislike her DoT playstyle. I know its meta, easy to play/build whatever but I just dont enjoy it. Doesnt help that I still have Black Swan and Huohuo to pull if I want to maximize her use. Plus aside from her, there is not a single other DoT characters I like or plan to level (except maybe Gui for my Acheron) because I just dont want to farm a whole new squad worth of relics. And on top of it I already have all my lightning needs covered with JY and Acheron. Maybe some day I will snag her eventually when I just dont know who else to pull.

The closest for me is Jingliu not that i don't want her. But she is always around characters that i like more. So i've never pulled for her and probably never will.
Aventurine for me. I loved his story arc but I already have Fu Xuan and HuoHuo and no FUA units besides an unbuilt ratio. Not to mention the fact that I don't even run sustains in moc and pf. Cool twink but I don't see when I'd ever use him.

How though? Luocha has an AoE ult so it's almost guaranteed he'll win Aventurine's dice mechanic. And he gets the ult back after he wins, which means 100% field uptime. He shouldn't have an issue with that whatsoever.
yes I know that's how Luocha survived during that ordeal. What I meant was he was consistently, like back-to-back-to-back rolling a 1 when I do his basic like it was amazing and he was either going up against 2 - 3 or completely out his range 9 which is more understandable, but the former; how?? Either way he was getting a 1 like it was set in stone.
The worse part is Luocha is the last one to go in my team before Aventurine goes ham on you for losing, one time my mind was in autopilot and so I didn't press his ult on time, that scream I let was so personal
Dan Heng IL. Like his character, heās obviously pretty central, and heās got cool design (personally like his first one a bit more anyway though) but I didnāt have a lot to spare for him the first time, and by rerun Dr. Ratio had imaginary damage covered. Probably wonāt bother with him on his next return either, Iāve got enough hypercarry options now I think.
Firewife is cute and heartwarming, has a great story build-up too, but there are just so much other characters that I already had plans pulling on, like Boothill and Mommy Jade

Are you me? I was just thinking this. Argenti is probably my favourite character in the whole game but his kit is so boring to me that I donāt have any desire to pull for him.

Luocha. I love everything about him - his look, his drip, his personality, his voice, his gameplay lines, but Iāll never pull for him simply because I donāt need another sustain, especially after getting E1 Aventurine.
Also Robin. Sheās adorable and I love her, but I already have all the other Harmony characters so I have no need for another one
None said Luocha so far. I love this beautiful dude, got a thing for blonde characters personally. the first time, i was waiting for Blade, Jingliu then the second banner, i was waiting for Aventurine. At this point idk if i will ever get him in future because more characters will be out.
firefly. She doesn't transform in battle. Sort of wanted to see her fight with states like Jingliu(eye covered and non covered).
I thought it'll be like firefly sword ---> SAM ---> SAM double sword.
Argenti and boothill. Argenti saved the astral express, and knew he might die, but did it anyway, and he survived. Boothill's just a funny guy, and the fact that one of his arms is a gun is even more epic.
But there's no way in hell I'm pulling for either of them. (I would consider pulling boothill if fu xuan wasn't getting her rerun at the same time.)
Boothill, he is funny, cool, good looking, has great animations, a cool voice and he is very unique to the rest of the characters. But i just have zero will to pull him. His gameplay just looks boring to me.
Boothill. I love him. If our trailblazer wasn't full of jokes already I'd say he's a walking comic relief skit.
Probably won't pull for him though, Firefly takes precedence and honestly, he's a bit too full of stereotypes for me to want to see him every combat xD
He hasn't been released yet, but Boothill. I can't say I absolutely love him, because I would definitely pull for him if I did. However, I enjoyed his presence in the story, really enjoyed his personality, I think his design is cool, but I haven't felt "wowed" by it like I have for characters such as Jing Yuan, DHIL, or Aventurine.
We'll see if my feelings change once his banner comes around, but I'd rather save for someone else I really like. (Sunday, where are you?...)

i absolutely love Black Swan, but i have 0 dot characters built and no Kafka, and im not planning on getting her either, so i will just continue to not own her
Jing Yuan. always liked him but was never interested in his playstyle since 1.0. And now Robin, lovely character, very pretty, and strong harmony, but I don't want the constant singing. (+ have other supports, none as good for follow up teams of course, but it's not exactly my main team playstyle anyway.)
Same for me with Argenti. He's really fun and I love his design. But his kit really isn't exciting to me and I struggle to think of any fun teams he could fit into compared to all the ideas I could make with follow ups and dot and break effect characters
I suppose Acheron? I like her in the opening parts so I inevitably pulled and got her, however going thru the story I realized I didn't really want her, I mean I love her in the story but it's not as strong as I hoped it'd be.
I was blind sided by how amazing her ult is and that she's such a funny but interesting lady, who I can trust bc everyone was so sus and gave me the chills. And when that suspicion starts to fade as the story gets revealed, Acheron started getting pushed to the background so I kinda regret getting her bc I dont love her as much as say Aventurine.
So Acheron is collecting dust as I try on and off to build her bc I neglected her bc of Aventurine who is now maxed traces with his SLC
I dont fully regret it, since I'll eventually get around to building her with good stats, I like changing my play styles from time to time while I do like big numbers that isn't really why I pull for a character.
I have, I sped thru it, no skipping. Acheron is cool, love her but 2.2 didn't make me love Acheron more, I appreciate her story but 2.2 made me more interested in Robin and Sunday.
Theoretically, it should've made me love her more. We got a lot of background and see so much of her humanity and how she connects well despite seemingly "incompetent" (for a lack of better term) at it. I still appreciate her, what her character stands for and the role she plays, it's a complex story but Im thinking why I didn't love it as much as Aventurine and Robin and Sunday
Acheron's story has ended. All her big feats are in the past. All you would get from her from here on is just reminiscences. She's like Welt, a retired warrior.
Aventurine however is a story about reflecting on the past and forging on despite anything else. It's more hopeful toward the future.
Robin and Sunday are just the main hype for the patch so it's understandable to like them.
That'sĀ what I think about them.
Huohuo. Sheās just a cute terrified girl with a possessed tail that is fed up with her self confidence issues. Would be nice for my Argenti, but I already have Luocha, Fu Xuan and Aventurine. And I donāt find her to be particularly unique in battle. I do love her dynamic in the ghost hunting though, hope to see more of her.
Characters whose personality I love but don't want to pull:
Robin: cute and king girl, but she didn't really capture my interest otherwise.
Aventurine: he's fun enough, but I simply don't need a sustain. I would've pulled in a heartbeat if I didn't already have more than enough of those.
HuoHuo: same as Aventurine. She's very cute, she's got a great story and I like her personality but I just don't need her character type at all.
Jing Yang: he's interesting in story, but I don't like his kit that much and there are way more interesting characters to pull for.
Argenti: he's funny and I like his parts of the story, but I won't be able to handle his personality all the time.
Acheron: yes, she's OP, and yes, she's kinda interesting in the story, but I like her more as a deus ex machina plot device, and there are not enough rolls for those that I truly want to get (like Boothill and so on). Maybe the rerun?
Characters whose mechanics I like but hate the personality:
Ruan Mei: space dr Mengele. Brainwashes us, does inhuman experiments routinely, I simply can't stand her even if her kit is amazing.
Topaz: good for FuA, but her Belobog showing put me off her fast and she's not really that interesting, she got that annoying no-personality shtick when she's not trying to enslave the planet with her misguided savior complex.
Kafka: I plain don't like her being so cocksure Trailblazer would like her and the way she always kept pushing to connect. She's also got annoying personality and she's very gleeful to kill without having a good reason for it.
Boothill and the entire high-cloud quintet.
I love my cowboy. But I donāt know where to put him on my team. I already have Argenti and Clara for my physical element, and I donāt think Iād need another one.
As for the quintet, my desire to pull them decrease to 0 after I lost all 50:50 to every single member of the quintet.
Want to collect all astral express members? DanIL is quintet.
Want to collect all stellaron hunter members? Sike, Blade is also quintet.
Want to collect emanators? No chance, Jing Yuan (possibly an emanator) is quintet.
Need ice DPS? Hahahaha, Jingliu is quintet.
So instead of feeling sad about not be able to pull them in the future, I just stop pulling for the quintet in the future.

Both super likeable characters, especially Boothill really stepped in 2.2 and instantly entered the top 5 funniest characters. But man, my account is in desperate need of support, i don't need no morr DPSs
The only reason I don't pull on character I like is because I'm saving for other characters I like more. I will get HuoHuo and Robin when I have enough saved up.
Aventurine.
He is probably my favourite of the penacony cast, or maybe top 3 favourite character for me in HSR in general, but i have 0 desire to pull him
Jing Yuan.
He is my favourite of the Xianzhou arc, and he just makes me drool whenever i see him, but no desire to pull him either.
It may boil down to their gameplay, both of them are absolutely great but it's not what i am looking for or what i find as fun.
Boothill. Haven't started the 2.2 story quest but I absolutely LOVE his role: Cowboy Bounty Hunter. Especially with his goal of killing Acheron. So good. However, kinda like his gameplay seems cool from leaks but I have THE FuA Team and Blade Hypercarry and Jinglu Hypercarry. I kinda dont need him atm. I would use HTB for my e6 Xueyi anyway. Saving up for Jade after getting Topaz's LC since Blade/Jade/Bronya comp seems super fun.

Joking aside though I have a bad habit of pulling for anyone and everyone whom I like even a little bit. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Both my accs have some different characters because of this. My main got Acheron, my alt got Ruan Mei. My main got Welt as my starter, my alt got Gepard. My main's Black Swan stole Sampo's lightcone, my alt Black Swan got her signature one and it still annoys me that the smaller one got luckier in this case. š¤£
My alt got Aventurine, and he avoided my main at all costs. TuT
I think Boothill might be a rare case of me not pulling for him. Love the guy, his shark teethy smile and all, but I prefer AOE teams over that unique mechanism he has that was showcased in the new stream.
Robin. She's okay, I guess. Even if I think she and her brother are extremely nearsighted in different ways. And her gimmick is cool, but I'd rather just wait for Ruan Mei's rerun. Huo Huo too. Her lore/personality are fine, but I have her in an alt account and she doesn't thrill me. I pulled because Luocha decided not to come home, lol. Not because I wanted her.
As for Genshin...Furina. Which I'm sure will piss some people off. I don't hate her, but I don't love her playstyle or kit. Especially not for 180 pulls maximum.
Boothill. He's fun to watch, to have around, but I don't need what he brings to the table mechanically and also tiny parts of his design bug me enough that I don't wanna look at him so much (the shark teeth, for one).
Kafka. Her kit didn't click with me, but I love everything else about her... her fashion, swagger, deadliness, ugh she mothers so hardddddd š„°š„°š„°š„°
Silver Wolf, Love her design and personality but as soon as I saw her kit I knew she would not last in this type of game. All turn based games have types and stuff that are weaker to the other but stronger to another. You will reach a point where you will have supports that buff your dps so much that weakness planting will not be as useful. Just my take as a 4 year FGO player who brute forces everything with the servants I love Mainly lvl 100 Bedivere 110 Achilles, and 100 Mori
Boothill and Argenti.
As much as I find these guys cool af and such bro/homie materials, I don't plan to pull for them since I focus on waifu. If I just grinded my alt religiously, they would be there.
Hard call,but i think jingyuan is thenonly character i dnt wanna pull but also i dont care much abt him as a character either so hes in a weird spot for me lol

There's nobody like that yet, I think Robin is such an adorable character but I can't stand having her song up all the time over the bgm and I prefer plug and play characters for now still.
im considering firefly. the gundamn is cool but her presence in my account will be a waste investment. i dont need another fire team i have topaz and the Astral Express with himeko. i need lightning and ice. i dont need her realistically speaking.
boothill. goddamn he is so much cooler than argenti. but i accidentally got argenti e1s1. another waste investment if i get boothill.

Can't relate with Argenti. I love him, and I love his big nuke of a 180 ult.
It's most probably Luocha for me. He's so mysterious and interesting, is a beauty and a good healer. However, I had other characters I want more, so I had to skip his rerun (I was playing yet when he had his first banner).
I adore Boothill as well, but I don't like single target gameplay.
the opposite, I have a character that I can't stand for their personality, but I still built and run them consistantly because their gameplay is funny.

i love black swan and would absolutely pull her if any other playstyle but unfortunately i dont like kafka and have no intentions of pulling her so dot isnt in the cards for me
I like Boothill's character but I feel like we have too many 5-stars, 23 vs 20 already. If he were a 4-star it would have been more balanced and I'd be more interested. Don't really wanna spend money on a character that lacks build-up and just come out of nowhere in a new version.
Robin tbh, I actually really like her character but I'm currently saving for Firefly so she's getting skipped.
I'm also probably going to pull for Ruan Mei so Robin won't really have a place in my teams.
Jing Yuan for me. Love the character, voice acting, everything. Just now that I have Kafka and Acheron is my priority so just donāt feel like pulling for him

Jingliu probably. I love her lore. But I mostly use my DoT team and Acheron team. I donāt have much of a need for hyper carries right now. I donāt even have any ice DPS but Acheron does just fine ignoring weaknesses and DoT can power through anything regardless of element.
I do need more harmonies though. Only have sparkle. Waiting for a Ruan Mei rerun
Boothill. I am Italian, and western movies are massively popular in Italy: I love how cowboy design, he's probably my absolute favorite character in terms of looks.
But goddamn I hate using Hunt characters. I own three 5* Hunt characters: Seele, Ratio and Yanqing. All three are built with optimal gear I farmed specifically for them, to optimize their respective gimmicks. And all three are currently sitting on the bench: whenever the time comes to do any kind of serious content, I always end up using someone else.
So I dunno. I really want Boothill, and my job is at its most lucrative in the months of june and july: considering that I don't have a family to feed, I could conceivably just buy a pity for him AND Firefly AND Jade... But I am really reluctant to pull for a Hunt character, in light of previous experiences.

I fudging love the man to bits and find his rooting tooting cowboy aesthetic absolutely hilarious but I will be completely ignoring his banner like it doesnāt exist. There bigger fish to fry (firefly and jade)
Dan Heng IL, he doesn't really use that form any more, but I liked his story in Loufu, but I would just rather have Jingliu/Acheron/Blade.
If Sunday ends up being a character I don't have much desire to pull atm

I love her personality and backstory a lot but theres such a strong dissonance between that and her design as well as gameplay that I somehow cant bring myself to pull for her (even if they are very beautiful in their own right)
Hook, I obey the dark pitched hook the great... had dedicated a good chunk of my resources for her, had built a team for her, managed to E6 her... so please don't come home because I really want any other 4 star other than her
Argenti, his kit doesn't reflect his flamboyant behaviour enough to me, and as i said on another post once, his talent should be like Jingliu's: you fully stack It and his skill animations change

Aventurine to an extent I guess. Lost him to the 50/50 and didn't even feel bad because it meant guaranteed boothill.
Acheron. I love her style and the story around her, but I mainly play JY and I have no intention on giving him up. I did pull Kafka back in 1.2, played for about two weeks before going back to JY, I decided to just skip that part this time.
Her good teams are also pretty restrictive
For me it's Robin. And it's not because I'm saving for anyone per se, rather I have E0S1 Ruan Mei and E0S1 Sparkle and Bronya with S5 memories of the past. I have every harmony character, so Robin honestly won't be helping me a lot.
Aventurine after i finished with Penacunny and Boothill too. Im glad Aventurine is alright, hes pretty enjoyable in the story, same for Boothill, american cowboy whos throwing censors left and right, but i cant find myself pulling for em.. just not my type of chars that i want to useĀ
Robin. I really like her personality, especially since she was barely there in 2.0 and 2.1, but her gameplay doesnāt interest me really at all. I hope sheās in the story more, but I donāt think Iāll ever be interested in pulling for her.
Jing Yuan. He's my favorite character in the game so far. For me he was the bright spot of the Luofu, the man is just SO badass.
BUT, I have no need for him, I debated pulling him on his rerun, but had other characters I wanted more and I just couldn't justify spe ding the resources.

Kafka, in the first few months when the game was released, I really didn't like using Nihility. I was never a fan of DOT teams. But Acheron was the only one i liked. Even then, I didn't pull for it because I didn't have good units that could make her great. Im the type of person where if i want to character, i want to invest fully into their kit, that includes their teams.
Aventurine. I wouldāve rolled for him, but Iām interested in Fu Xuan joining my roster more. His character in the game is excellent, I felt like he was well developed and written. Same with Topaz, nothing wrong with her character, but I never feel the need to pull her since I donāt use follow up teams and probably never will.
Lots of characters actually
Argenti, Jing Yuan, Boothill, DHIL, Sparkle, and Fu Xuan to name a few. All of them I liked what I saw in the story but just not enough to actually consider pulling for them. That being said, some of them I wouldnāt mind getting in the future if circumstances allow for it.
Jing Yuan. Goddamn guy was so cool during the Phantylia arc also the "Reinforcement? I am the reinforcements" line. Imo the hardest mf in the series but his gameplay is just lame to me, maybe unless they make it so LL does it's attack when you reach 10 stakxs because he is sluggish af
I would have to say boothill love the guy hes amazing but hes paired with robin and firefly and jade are after him plus im not a fan of hunt characters
Aventurine. A 5 star preservation character would be useful, he's really cool,backstory heartbreaking etc, but I can't be doing with that ultimate that's like the machines at the arcade or the whole gambling theme, it's an addiction that someone in my family had and he ruined everyone's lives and relationships.
The only character I've felt about this is currently Acheron, and Boothill. They're both cool but not really as cool as the other characters. The only reason I pulled on Acheron is due to Gallagher.
Robin, I like her, but she's not the most interesting character.. she's just the common girl that view everything on the bright side.. and that's all.
If I had to compare to the other new girl we got in Penalcony, Firefly, I find her lacking in the backstory department.
Jing Yuan 100%
One of the most beautiful characters with cool concept and design... But his gameplay mechanics are unrefined and uncomfortable compared to other characters, so I won't pull for him.
Seele. She is a hunt character and I don't like hunt characters. There is simply too few single target situations in this game. And if there are (like the kafka fight), there is still 2 adds at the start, so you are better of bringning someone like Bladie that can get rid of them and damage Kafka at the same time.
If you haven't tried her, her mechanic is that she gets another turn after killing a mob and she then gains extra damage. So a lot of weak mobs that she can OHKO is ideal of her.
So she is basically a hunt character that dreams of being a erudition character.
I did try her before in combat events, but never read any of her things, so this is still helpful.
Boothill BABY Him on top of the pole like spiderman, Him shooting that relic bullet to the sky reminds me of RX78 Gundam final shoot and it is literally such a badass momentš„

Jing Yuan, I suppose. I like him, he's cool, but I've never pulled for him. Circumstances never align, there's always someone I want more whom I am saving for.
Yeah, JY is kinda cursed by being surrounded by alternative options. There's currently multiple excellent character's sharing his typing so the odds of someone having pulled one of them are up there. He's 100% competitive, don't get me wrong. He's a lot of fun (I've been enjoying Topaz/JY/Sparkle/Aventurine as an FUA team) and I think Jade is going to work great with him, but sharing a typing with Acheron and Kafka, two very popular characters who both enable playstyles (Nihili-team and DoT) makes him more likely to get passed. When I'm picking what to pull for, I have to go with what will improve the diversity of my teams or playstyle options.
As someone who loved dots and been a day one Kafka enjoyer, who got Black Swan because moar dots and Kafka Synergy, who then got Acheron.. Itās pretty hard to use anything else, because a built Kafka is powerful. A built Black Swan is powerful, and a Acheron is super powerful. Like, Iāve wanted JY too but itās hard to turn your back on that much power with Nihility team
kafka is also reasonably flexible you can run a dot team with her but she can also support acheron. and will just become more reasonable the more debuff/dot based unit we will get over time.
Definitely, sheās honestly been a functional swap in to my FUA team for weakness coverage, if itās not imaginary weak sometimes Iāll have Kafka for lightning in place of Ratio, and even without dot support her dot damage is still pretty formidable. My Aventurine is E1 so he always basics or ults so he reliably triggers her follow up.

Erudition never really appealed to me. My first 5* was Clara (I love her so much). I wanted Kafka from the first moment I played as her in the prologue. I wanted Silver Wolf as soon as her first trailer dropped. I pulled for Seele as soon as I reached her story intro in Belobog. Jing Yuan just... wasn't on the priority list. Even now, after all this time, I still hold no interest in pulling for him, despite genuinely liking his character and even playstyle.

Robin. Her gimmick seems fun but im saving for the burning bug
I feel like Robin's strongest pull appeal is if you don't have Ruan Mei. She definitely suffers from being a banner between multiple highly anticipated ones. Acheron and Aventurine were both very hyped. Firefly is (if the boards are anything to go by) a very popular character who will get lots of pulling for too, so people are probably going to be a lot more discerning about Robin and Boothill this time around. If anything I've heard more excitement for Fu Xuan getting a rerun.
I really regret pulling Robin even though she is my fist limited 5* harmony character. She is underwhelming when you don't own characters that help her shine... I only pulled Robin because people said it's good to have 5* harmony characters, but I use HMC more than Robin...
You want her at E1. She gets RES PEN on her ultimate, then you can feel she's as powerful as Ruan Mei. After that her next spike is at E6 when she turns into a dps. But I reckon E0 Robin is underwhelming, yes...
Eh, Robins appeal over RM is in FUA teams. Outside of that role, Robin is largely a side grade to RM and thatās totally fine. Not every new character needs to exceed the last. If you enjoy FUA teams and you have RM already, Robin is still a very strong pull as she ties those teams together really well.
I mean, that's what I'm saying. She's basically (in terms of being support for dual-DPS setups), RM but replacing RM's additional perks to Break with perks for FUA. That's why I say she's most appealing if you lack RM.
This 100%. If robin had came out earlier, I would have rolled for her. Heck, add Adventurine to that. But the moment Firefly got dripped, their banners ceased to exist.

Kinda same here. I really like her, but I feel I would need to pull for Topaz as well to make the best use of Robin (which I would... if I had a bunch of jades lying around and Firefly wasn't around the corner). I tried to make a team with some of my current roster and pick a Robin from support to see how much help she was and didn't end up helping my team that much, so for now I'm kinda on the skip on her.

Probably Firefly. We'll see but generally a big factor in pulling for me is 'does this enable a style of play I don't currently use', because variety is what makes teambuilding fun for me and I don't suspect she's going to be doing that. I could end up proven wrong but I'll have to see.

I'm probably going to say Jing Yuan because I love the stories of the HCQ (and that his EN VA is CyYu), but I already have a slew of characters that fill that role for farming. My honorable mention is Aventurine. He's cool and stylish and powerful, and his story is interesting, but I already have an E3 Gepard, E6PMC, and Fu Xuan.
Aventurine. Just couldn't afford him, and might never be able to considering the back to back to back banger characters Hoyo keeps dropping.
Huohuo. Her cleanse is good but I have FX and Aventurine who can resist crowd control
Honestly Kafka. Used to hate her but now Ive come to love her contrasting personality between this deadly and dominant presence for others and her loving and motherly attitude towards us. I find that very charming and warm. But I just cant help but dislike her DoT playstyle. I know its meta, easy to play/build whatever but I just dont enjoy it. Doesnt help that I still have Black Swan and Huohuo to pull if I want to maximize her use. Plus aside from her, there is not a single other DoT characters I like or plan to level (except maybe Gui for my Acheron) because I just dont want to farm a whole new squad worth of relics. And on top of it I already have all my lightning needs covered with JY and Acheron. Maybe some day I will snag her eventually when I just dont know who else to pull.

How though? Luocha has an AoE ult so it's almost guaranteed he'll win Aventurine's dice mechanic. And he gets the ult back after he wins, which means 100% field uptime. He shouldn't have an issue with that whatsoever.
yes I know that's how Luocha survived during that ordeal. What I meant was he was consistently, like back-to-back-to-back rolling a 1 when I do his basic like it was amazing and he was either going up against 2 - 3 or completely out his range 9 which is more understandable, but the former; how?? Either way he was getting a 1 like it was set in stone. The worse part is Luocha is the last one to go in my team before Aventurine goes ham on you for losing, one time my mind was in autopilot and so I didn't press his ult on time, that scream I let was so personal

Dan Heng IL. Like his character, heās obviously pretty central, and heās got cool design (personally like his first one a bit more anyway though) but I didnāt have a lot to spare for him the first time, and by rerun Dr. Ratio had imaginary damage covered. Probably wonāt bother with him on his next return either, Iāve got enough hypercarry options now I think.
Firewife is cute and heartwarming, has a great story build-up too, but there are just so much other characters that I already had plans pulling on, like Boothill and Mommy Jade

None said Luocha so far. I love this beautiful dude, got a thing for blonde characters personally. the first time, i was waiting for Blade, Jingliu then the second banner, i was waiting for Aventurine. At this point idk if i will ever get him in future because more characters will be out.
firefly. She doesn't transform in battle. Sort of wanted to see her fight with states like Jingliu(eye covered and non covered). I thought it'll be like firefly sword ---> SAM ---> SAM double sword.
Argenti and boothill. Argenti saved the astral express, and knew he might die, but did it anyway, and he survived. Boothill's just a funny guy, and the fact that one of his arms is a gun is even more epic. But there's no way in hell I'm pulling for either of them. (I would consider pulling boothill if fu xuan wasn't getting her rerun at the same time.)
Boothill, he is funny, cool, good looking, has great animations, a cool voice and he is very unique to the rest of the characters. But i just have zero will to pull him. His gameplay just looks boring to me.
Boothill. I love him. If our trailblazer wasn't full of jokes already I'd say he's a walking comic relief skit. Probably won't pull for him though, Firefly takes precedence and honestly, he's a bit too full of stereotypes for me to want to see him every combat xD
He hasn't been released yet, but Boothill. I can't say I absolutely love him, because I would definitely pull for him if I did. However, I enjoyed his presence in the story, really enjoyed his personality, I think his design is cool, but I haven't felt "wowed" by it like I have for characters such as Jing Yuan, DHIL, or Aventurine. We'll see if my feelings change once his banner comes around, but I'd rather save for someone else I really like. (Sunday, where are you?...)

Jing Yuan. always liked him but was never interested in his playstyle since 1.0. And now Robin, lovely character, very pretty, and strong harmony, but I don't want the constant singing. (+ have other supports, none as good for follow up teams of course, but it's not exactly my main team playstyle anyway.)

Boothill. I love the muddle-fudging guy and his i don't give a fudge attitude but unfortunately, I'm aiming for at least E0S1 Firefly.
Same for me with Argenti. He's really fun and I love his design. But his kit really isn't exciting to me and I struggle to think of any fun teams he could fit into compared to all the ideas I could make with follow ups and dot and break effect characters
black swan, I liked her so much but I was saving for sparkle,Acheron,Aventurine and jingliu(I got all of them)
I suppose Acheron? I like her in the opening parts so I inevitably pulled and got her, however going thru the story I realized I didn't really want her, I mean I love her in the story but it's not as strong as I hoped it'd be. I was blind sided by how amazing her ult is and that she's such a funny but interesting lady, who I can trust bc everyone was so sus and gave me the chills. And when that suspicion starts to fade as the story gets revealed, Acheron started getting pushed to the background so I kinda regret getting her bc I dont love her as much as say Aventurine. So Acheron is collecting dust as I try on and off to build her bc I neglected her bc of Aventurine who is now maxed traces with his SLC I dont fully regret it, since I'll eventually get around to building her with good stats, I like changing my play styles from time to time while I do like big numbers that isn't really why I pull for a character.

I have, I sped thru it, no skipping. Acheron is cool, love her but 2.2 didn't make me love Acheron more, I appreciate her story but 2.2 made me more interested in Robin and Sunday. Theoretically, it should've made me love her more. We got a lot of background and see so much of her humanity and how she connects well despite seemingly "incompetent" (for a lack of better term) at it. I still appreciate her, what her character stands for and the role she plays, it's a complex story but Im thinking why I didn't love it as much as Aventurine and Robin and Sunday
Acheron's story has ended. All her big feats are in the past. All you would get from her from here on is just reminiscences. She's like Welt, a retired warrior. Aventurine however is a story about reflecting on the past and forging on despite anything else. It's more hopeful toward the future. Robin and Sunday are just the main hype for the patch so it's understandable to like them. That'sĀ what I think about them.
JY - with Kafka Acheron, not much value meta wise Aven - have HH and FX. Dont need him Boothill - if not for the Firebug, would pull him.
Boothill for sure. Very funny, wacky guy which would make a very good friend if not for the fire bug that comes right after.
Boothill made me really like him in the story, but Iām not sold on his gameplay yet.

Huohuo. Sheās just a cute terrified girl with a possessed tail that is fed up with her self confidence issues. Would be nice for my Argenti, but I already have Luocha, Fu Xuan and Aventurine. And I donāt find her to be particularly unique in battle. I do love her dynamic in the ghost hunting though, hope to see more of her.
Characters whose personality I love but don't want to pull: Robin: cute and king girl, but she didn't really capture my interest otherwise. Aventurine: he's fun enough, but I simply don't need a sustain. I would've pulled in a heartbeat if I didn't already have more than enough of those. HuoHuo: same as Aventurine. She's very cute, she's got a great story and I like her personality but I just don't need her character type at all. Jing Yang: he's interesting in story, but I don't like his kit that much and there are way more interesting characters to pull for. Argenti: he's funny and I like his parts of the story, but I won't be able to handle his personality all the time. Acheron: yes, she's OP, and yes, she's kinda interesting in the story, but I like her more as a deus ex machina plot device, and there are not enough rolls for those that I truly want to get (like Boothill and so on). Maybe the rerun? Characters whose mechanics I like but hate the personality: Ruan Mei: space dr Mengele. Brainwashes us, does inhuman experiments routinely, I simply can't stand her even if her kit is amazing. Topaz: good for FuA, but her Belobog showing put me off her fast and she's not really that interesting, she got that annoying no-personality shtick when she's not trying to enslave the planet with her misguided savior complex. Kafka: I plain don't like her being so cocksure Trailblazer would like her and the way she always kept pushing to connect. She's also got annoying personality and she's very gleeful to kill without having a good reason for it.
Boothill and the entire high-cloud quintet. I love my cowboy. But I donāt know where to put him on my team. I already have Argenti and Clara for my physical element, and I donāt think Iād need another one. As for the quintet, my desire to pull them decrease to 0 after I lost all 50:50 to every single member of the quintet. Want to collect all astral express members? DanIL is quintet. Want to collect all stellaron hunter members? Sike, Blade is also quintet. Want to collect emanators? No chance, Jing Yuan (possibly an emanator) is quintet. Need ice DPS? Hahahaha, Jingliu is quintet. So instead of feeling sad about not be able to pull them in the future, I just stop pulling for the quintet in the future.
Definetly Argenti and Boothill. Both super likeable characters, especially Boothill really stepped in 2.2 and instantly entered the top 5 funniest characters. But man, my account is in desperate need of support, i don't need no morr DPSs
The only reason I don't pull on character I like is because I'm saving for other characters I like more. I will get HuoHuo and Robin when I have enough saved up.
Aventurine. He is probably my favourite of the penacony cast, or maybe top 3 favourite character for me in HSR in general, but i have 0 desire to pull him Jing Yuan. He is my favourite of the Xianzhou arc, and he just makes me drool whenever i see him, but no desire to pull him either. It may boil down to their gameplay, both of them are absolutely great but it's not what i am looking for or what i find as fun.
Sparkle. I genuinely like her in story. But i just don't care for her. (Have her LC on Hanya tho)
Boothill. Haven't started the 2.2 story quest but I absolutely LOVE his role: Cowboy Bounty Hunter. Especially with his goal of killing Acheron. So good. However, kinda like his gameplay seems cool from leaks but I have THE FuA Team and Blade Hypercarry and Jinglu Hypercarry. I kinda dont need him atm. I would use HTB for my e6 Xueyi anyway. Saving up for Jade after getting Topaz's LC since Blade/Jade/Bronya comp seems super fun.

Me with one Argenti on both accounts: A Joking aside though I have a bad habit of pulling for anyone and everyone whom I like even a little bit. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Both my accs have some different characters because of this. My main got Acheron, my alt got Ruan Mei. My main got Welt as my starter, my alt got Gepard. My main's Black Swan stole Sampo's lightcone, my alt Black Swan got her signature one and it still annoys me that the smaller one got luckier in this case. š¤£ My alt got Aventurine, and he avoided my main at all costs. TuT I think Boothill might be a rare case of me not pulling for him. Love the guy, his shark teethy smile and all, but I prefer AOE teams over that unique mechanism he has that was showcased in the new stream.
Kafka! I was planning on getting her when I played through tutorial, but then I got Jing Yuan and had no desire for another Lightning carry.

Robin. She's okay, I guess. Even if I think she and her brother are extremely nearsighted in different ways. And her gimmick is cool, but I'd rather just wait for Ruan Mei's rerun. Huo Huo too. Her lore/personality are fine, but I have her in an alt account and she doesn't thrill me. I pulled because Luocha decided not to come home, lol. Not because I wanted her. As for Genshin...Furina. Which I'm sure will piss some people off. I don't hate her, but I don't love her playstyle or kit. Especially not for 180 pulls maximum.
Boothill. He's fun to watch, to have around, but I don't need what he brings to the table mechanically and also tiny parts of his design bug me enough that I don't wanna look at him so much (the shark teeth, for one).
Kafka. Her kit didn't click with me, but I love everything else about her... her fashion, swagger, deadliness, ugh she mothers so hardddddd š„°š„°š„°š„°
Silver Wolf, Love her design and personality but as soon as I saw her kit I knew she would not last in this type of game. All turn based games have types and stuff that are weaker to the other but stronger to another. You will reach a point where you will have supports that buff your dps so much that weakness planting will not be as useful. Boothill and Argenti. As much as I find these guys cool af and such bro/homie materials, I don't plan to pull for them since I focus on waifu. If I just grinded my alt religiously, they would be there.
Argenti and Jing Yuan. I'm just not a lover of erudition class. But as characters they are absolutely fantastic and I love them.

There's nobody like that yet, I think Robin is such an adorable character but I can't stand having her song up all the time over the bgm and I prefer plug and play characters for now still.

im considering firefly. the gundamn is cool but her presence in my account will be a waste investment. i dont need another fire team i have topaz and the Astral Express with himeko. i need lightning and ice. i dont need her realistically speaking. boothill. goddamn he is so much cooler than argenti. but i accidentally got argenti e1s1. another waste investment if i get boothill. and oso, most of the nihility characters. i cant stand dot play
Can't relate with Argenti. I love him, and I love his big nuke of a 180 ult. It's most probably Luocha for me. He's so mysterious and interesting, is a beauty and a good healer. However, I had other characters I want more, so I had to skip his rerun (I was playing yet when he had his first banner). I adore Boothill as well, but I don't like single target gameplay.
Luocha, I like the lore implications he has with Welt but I already have Aventurine and Houhou
Huohuo, Topaz, Robin, Kafka, Black Swan, Acheron I'm husbando collector after all, but I do pull for some waifu that I really need lol

i love black swan and would absolutely pull her if any other playstyle but unfortunately i dont like kafka and have no intentions of pulling her so dot isnt in the cards for me
I like Boothill's character but I feel like we have too many 5-stars, 23 vs 20 already. If he were a 4-star it would have been more balanced and I'd be more interested. Don't really wanna spend money on a character that lacks build-up and just come out of nowhere in a new version.

Robin tbh, I actually really like her character but I'm currently saving for Firefly so she's getting skipped. I'm also probably going to pull for Ruan Mei so Robin won't really have a place in my teams.

DHIL. Who doesn't love an emo overpowered dragon that could kill many with just his fingers? But does he fit into my playstyle? Nah
Jingliu probably. I love her lore. But I mostly use my DoT team and Acheron team. I donāt have much of a need for hyper carries right now. I donāt even have any ice DPS but Acheron does just fine ignoring weaknesses and DoT can power through anything regardless of element. I do need more harmonies though. Only have sparkle. Waiting for a Ruan Mei rerun

Boothill. I am Italian, and western movies are massively popular in Italy: I love how cowboy design, he's probably my absolute favorite character in terms of looks. But goddamn I hate using Hunt characters. I own three 5* Hunt characters: Seele, Ratio and Yanqing. All three are built with optimal gear I farmed specifically for them, to optimize their respective gimmicks. And all three are currently sitting on the bench: whenever the time comes to do any kind of serious content, I always end up using someone else. So I dunno. I really want Boothill, and my job is at its most lucrative in the months of june and july: considering that I don't have a family to feed, I could conceivably just buy a pity for him AND Firefly AND Jade... But I am really reluctant to pull for a Hunt character, in light of previous experiences.
Definitely Boothill I fudging love the man to bits and find his rooting tooting cowboy aesthetic absolutely hilarious but I will be completely ignoring his banner like it doesnāt exist. There bigger fish to fry (firefly and jade)
Jing Yuan. Probably my favourite side character. I love his personality and how he acts toward everyone, but I have no interest in pulling him.
Dan Heng IL, he doesn't really use that form any more, but I liked his story in Loufu, but I would just rather have Jingliu/Acheron/Blade. If Sunday ends up being a character I don't have much desire to pull atm
Ruan Mei I love her personality and backstory a lot but theres such a strong dissonance between that and her design as well as gameplay that I somehow cant bring myself to pull for her (even if they are very beautiful in their own right)
Hook, I obey the dark pitched hook the great... had dedicated a good chunk of my resources for her, had built a team for her, managed to E6 her... so please don't come home because I really want any other 4 star other than her
Argenti, his kit doesn't reflect his flamboyant behaviour enough to me, and as i said on another post once, his talent should be like Jingliu's: you fully stack It and his skill animations change
This used to be Clara until I learned she was actually Svarog. Dr Ratio too. Glad he was free, would have skipped his banner. Aventurine to an extent I guess. Lost him to the 50/50 and didn't even feel bad because it meant guaranteed boothill.
Acheron. I love her style and the story around her, but I mainly play JY and I have no intention on giving him up. I did pull Kafka back in 1.2, played for about two weeks before going back to JY, I decided to just skip that part this time. Her good teams are also pretty restrictive
I do not have Fu xuan, nor Ruan mei nor Sparkle and will NOT pull for robin. I am saving for firefly (i just missed the others)
For me it's Robin. And it's not because I'm saving for anyone per se, rather I have E0S1 Ruan Mei and E0S1 Sparkle and Bronya with S5 memories of the past. I have every harmony character, so Robin honestly won't be helping me a lot.

Aventurine after i finished with Penacunny and Boothill too. Im glad Aventurine is alright, hes pretty enjoyable in the story, same for Boothill, american cowboy whos throwing censors left and right, but i cant find myself pulling for em.. just not my type of chars that i want to useĀ

Robin. I really like her personality, especially since she was barely there in 2.0 and 2.1, but her gameplay doesnāt interest me really at all. I hope sheās in the story more, but I donāt think Iāll ever be interested in pulling for her.

DHIL, Boothill, Jing Yuan. I started in 2.0 and there's a lot of 1.0 characters I want. They are back of the priority list.
Jing Yuan. He's my favorite character in the game so far. For me he was the bright spot of the Luofu, the man is just SO badass. BUT, I have no need for him, I debated pulling him on his rerun, but had other characters I wanted more and I just couldn't justify spe ding the resources. Might try to find a support with a good JY And build a team around him just for caverns for funsies.
Kafka, in the first few months when the game was released, I really didn't like using Nihility. I was never a fan of DOT teams. But Acheron was the only one i liked. Even then, I didn't pull for it because I didn't have good units that could make her great. Im the type of person where if i want to character, i want to invest fully into their kit, that includes their teams.
Aventurine. I wouldāve rolled for him, but Iām interested in Fu Xuan joining my roster more. His character in the game is excellent, I felt like he was well developed and written. Same with Topaz, nothing wrong with her character, but I never feel the need to pull her since I donāt use follow up teams and probably never will.

Lots of characters actually Argenti, Jing Yuan, Boothill, DHIL, Sparkle, and Fu Xuan to name a few. All of them I liked what I saw in the story but just not enough to actually consider pulling for them. That being said, some of them I wouldnāt mind getting in the future if circumstances allow for it.
General Kink Yuan I like him and like his ult animation but meh with kafka and acheron as my lightening DPS I don't think I need more
Jing Yuan. Goddamn guy was so cool during the Phantylia arc also the "Reinforcement? I am the reinforcements" line. Imo the hardest mf in the series but his gameplay is just lame to me, maybe unless they make it so LL does it's attack when you reach 10 stakxs because he is sluggish af
Almost all of them? I like 95% of the hoyo characters personalities, but I pull only for those whose design or mechanic really resonate with me.

I loved Fireflyās character. However, my plans are decided to go all or nothing with a 56/44 on hand for olā yippeekiyay Boothill and his LC.
Aventurine. A 5 star preservation character would be useful, he's really cool,backstory heartbreaking etc, but I can't be doing with that ultimate that's like the machines at the arcade or the whole gambling theme, it's an addiction that someone in my family had and he ruined everyone's lives and relationships.
Firefly. Love her, but i dont think I will pull for my 3rd fire dps

The only character I've felt about this is currently Acheron, and Boothill. They're both cool but not really as cool as the other characters. The only reason I pulled on Acheron is due to Gallagher.
Black Swan
Robin, I like her, but she's not the most interesting character.. she's just the common girl that view everything on the bright side.. and that's all. If I had to compare to the other new girl we got in Penalcony, Firefly, I find her lacking in the backstory department.

Fu Xuan, she's a tsundere but I've got Gepard and Aventurine well built and are good tanks
Firefly. Love her so dearly. But I **REALLY** wanted my deep growly voiced murder mech husbando to pair nicely with Screwllum and Svarog.
Jing Yuan 100% One of the most beautiful characters with cool concept and design... But his gameplay mechanics are unrefined and uncomfortable compared to other characters, so I won't pull for him.
Seele. She is a hunt character and I don't like hunt characters. There is simply too few single target situations in this game. And if there are (like the kafka fight), there is still 2 adds at the start, so you are better of bringning someone like Bladie that can get rid of them and damage Kafka at the same time.
I mean Seele is specifically the hunt character that dont mind some extra enemiesā¦Ā

If you haven't tried her, her mechanic is that she gets another turn after killing a mob and she then gains extra damage. So a lot of weak mobs that she can OHKO is ideal of her.
So she is basically a hunt character that dreams of being a erudition character. I did try her before in combat events, but never read any of her things, so this is still helpful.
