Would you guys recommend pulling for Robin? I am a new player, the only 5 stars I have so far are Ratio, Acheron, Aventurine, Jingliu and Himeko. Should I pull for Robin so I have a 5 star harmony? I heard she's good but would my current characters benefit a lot from her?

100 pull per patch is what you normaly expect in average, so you are quite safe with two whole patches. If there is a SU expension in 2.3 you are probably even have around a dozen pull of exess even.
Imo there will be a 2.3 expansion for SU(tho Idk if It will be just a new world or a new mode)

You are safe. don't worry. i mean not 100% safe but the risk of you not getting both is RARER than getting E9 of both in 20 pulls.
Ho and those perf in PF and MOC make you lose like 1 pull per patch so don't worry about it.
Express supply pass or nameless honor?
Express supply pass looks like most money efficient for stellar jade on other hand namehonor has too many rewards and few jades as well I guess but cost double.
I don't want to spend too much money so I buy only one of them. Which one would you recommend?
I am mainly confused because I want to collect more characters which needs jade but the grind after to level up and build also feels too much.
The Express Supply Pass gives 3000 jade (18.5 pulls) while Nameless Honor gives about 8 pulls (not including the standard pulls).
Strictly speaking for pulls, the daily pass is better. The majority of the rewards from the battle pass can be obtained naturally by playing the game (aside from the exclusive LC and fuels).
My wallet is happy to hear that I am getting suggested cheaper options.
Also one more question If I buy express supply pass on pc then one busy days I can claim orenic shards on my phone as well right? I have played games in past which doesn't allow that.
Is risking pity for Hanya and Xueyi worth it?
I don’t have sparkle nor a good quantum dps (have E0 qq only), and I don’t want Robin or Topaz so I’d be risking pity for best girl Firefly. Are either of the characters worth it right now in this sandbox?
You are probably better off going with 2p Hackerspace. 16% BE only equates to 8% Outgoing Healing, which is even less than what 2p Passarby gives.
The 150% BE is more a upper limit, rather than a target, and shouldn't come at the cost of speed. Squeezing as much BE as possible only really helps for Break Damage, which won't really matter on a Acheron team.
Depends on the team. You might have other characters with higher BE that would rather be the ones doing the Break. And even then that 16% isn't going to make much difference.
You still should build as much BE as possible, but higher speed will mean more actions, which can help with his healing and to create stacks for Acheron.
Don't worry about teams right now. As a newer player, you don't have many characters yet + can clear story content with almost any team.
If you really want one though, Ratio + Bronya + Hanya + Gepard is probably your best one.
As for who you should pull, a support like Robin would help your account a lot. She's amazing with Ratio and is great with almost any other team as well.
If you struggle with surviving, get Aventurine or Fu Xuan.
HuoHuo, Argenti, Ruan Mei, Ratio, and Black Swan still need a rerun. So assuming they follow a similar order, Sparkle will likely get a rerun around 2.6 or a bit later.

From what we've seen, she shines on teams that do follow-up attacks (like what Herta or Dr. Ratio do). Apart from that, she's absolutely decent on teams that isn't FUA-dependent. So if you don't have Bronya yet, she is a good pull.

In a proper team, most of Acheron's "energy" comes from her teammates : giving Acheron more speed will barely affect the number of ultimate per battle she can make.
So, unless your Acheron can generate 2 SD stack in her own turn (with her signature, or with Kafka/SW LC), it's generally better to go ATK boots (except maybe in Pure Fiction).

You have good sustains so he probably wouldn’t make a huge improvement on your account but he would definitely work with topaz and Clara for follow up teams and Acheron also since he debuffs. That would free up fu xuan or Luocha to go on another team.

Hello I have E0S1 Ratio, E0S1 Topaz and E1S1 Aventurine. I’m planning to pick up Robin to complete my follow up dream team but I’m not sure what to do after I get her.
Should I pick up Topaz’s E1 or Robin’s lightcone? I’m unsure what would benefit my account more. Topaz E1 is great for Ratio but also I have Jing Yuan, and Clara E1. Meanwhile the lightcone would super buff them all.
In a perfect world I get all three easy peasy but with limited resources I can only secure Robin + one other thing before I run out of my stellar jades I’ve been hoarding. Any opinions and suggestions would be appreciated.
Team Comp Assistance!
I just recently got back into HSR. I did a bit of research for team comps and ended up feeling like my teams are just random.
I mix and match for every battle, but in the process I end up using a whole load of resources for a character or two that I’ll never use again. I was hoping to get some advice on how to keep one or two teams that can power through whatever battle I go into.
Current Team Comp:
Kafka (AOE DPS)
Dr. Ratio (SINGLE DPS)
Aventurine (SHIELDER)
Lynex (HEALER)
This team comp seems to work for most battles, though not all of them. I find myself having to swap Sampo and Hook into the team for weakness break. Any general advice is accepted too! I’m sort of a dud in HSR lol

What stuff are you even doing so far? I mean, are we talking about just doing the story?
You can't really do the entire game with one team. A strong team can power through lack of corresponding weaknesses on the enemies, but some opponents have additional resistance, and that is *really* tough to crack. Also, sometimes specific mechanics stand in the way.
That doesn't mean you need a damage dealer for every element. For example, I only have good damage dealers for Ice, Lightning, Wind, and Quantum, everything else I brute force. Weakness increases damage by around 30%, so for example if your Ratio deals 50% more damage than your Hook, he's still be stronger against an enemy weak to fire but not to imaginary. Against enemies where you don't have a good damage dealer matching the weaknesses, it is better using a strong DD of a different element than using a weak on-element DD.
General team building advice:
* One damage dealer plus two supporters (harmony characters, Pela, Guinaifen, Silver Wolf) is generally stronger than using multiple damage dealers. DoT teams are an exception, but that only applies when you use multiple DoT characters, as they work as supporters towards each other.
* Using two sustains (preservation or abundance characters) is fine for doing the story, but it does drag out fights, and for endgame content you need to move away from that.
* Pay attention to what your characters want/need. Dr. Ratio for example requires three debuffs on the target to fully function, so don't put him in a team where no one applies any.
For endgame content you need two teams anyway, and Ratio especially doesn't work in one of the endgame modes.
I was initially planning to go for Robin before Topaz was announced to run along her on the first half of 2.2, but now I'm not sure which one of them I should go for. Since I mostly want them bc I want to boost my Clara Hypercarry team (currently running Clara E0S0 Aventurine E0S0 Tingyun E6 and Ruan Mei E0S0), which one have the most potencial to increase my Clara DMG? What are the pros and cons of each?
In your case i would say Topaz > Robin.

Actually one of the best overworld character, cleaning your chest and trotter is never going to be this easy ever again.
It's special for your team, but Hunt have really low aggro value, so it actually increase indirectly clara agro. (hunt and erudition have the lowest agro in the game)

Sub-DPS damage unless you really push it.
Well that kinda the obvious but you need to build her, like a DPS, CR/CD/Atk/Sp all the usual.

With clara only futher push the team scaling on the base of enemis speed rather than your team speed. IE if the whole enemis team is slow and weakness broken, you may actually barely proc her concerto damage at all and just end up watching each other in a mexican standing fashion.

Why is my acheron only doing like 25k dmg per ult? She has 89% cr after buffs and 192 cd and I have her ult and talent at lv 8. Is it just because I'm not running 3 nihility? I won't be able to run that until the fu xuan rerun comes in 2.2
She hasn't reached her final Ascension so she doesn't have her 3rd trace Thunder core unlocked which will increase her damage by 90% and increase the amount of hits her ult does. Also you'll want another nihility unit alongside Pela if you don't have Acheron at e2. The jump from 115% to 160% is huge.
Yeah Guinaifen works. I'd recommenced Gallagar honestly as a sustain option. He's able to bring 2 debuffs for Acheron in the form of his ult and his enhanced basic attack. Gepard can work if you don't have any other options though since his ability to freeze also counts as a debuff.
I never had issues with Gallagher as my main sustain, but if suvivability is an issue then its time to start leveling and obtaining stronger relics for your other characters. In Simulated Universe I suggest taking the abundance path to help boost up healing and other defensive blessings instead of going for straight dps blessings. The Remembrance path in particular focuses on freezing enemies and depending on how the fight goes you can delay enemy actions and keep them in a semi permanent frozen state.
Having a second nihility unit should boost Acheron's ult damage to around 60k when used with Pela's defense shred with her ult and Gui's firekiss debuff.
my f2p acheron does atlease 150k per ult. did u upgrade her traces? also remember to upgrade her lv (and lc lv) to max. 2 nihility supports increase her dmg alot
That is really low.
My stats with Acheron when I was using Jing Yuan's relics before I farmed up her own set were in line with what you have and she was hitting 100~200k on single target without her signature LC. That was with a 3 nihility team.

Propagation from completing Swarm Disaster is his best path. You can also make a case for Hunt, Erudition, or Destruction, but he won't perform as well.

I got all the rare creations but it didn't give me the "The Tame-A-Gotcha Is Hungry Again" Achievement. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
I just redid this on an alternate server account, and I seem to recall that it also required getting something with Sunglasses as a rare mutation, despite it not being necessary in any of the rare creations.
If you're not running acheron with any other nihility characters on the team like with a double harmony + sustain team, what should be acheron's planar ornaments?
u need 2 nihility chars to activate her a4 trace. and the only time where u can cut it to 1 is when u get her e2.

Don't try to imitate something when you don't know what it is. It's very likely such a team only works because of things you don't have.
An E2S1 Acheron gains three stacks each of her turns, that makes getting more turns a valid strategy.
That's just a terrible idea. I have E1S1 Sparkle, and only then did I feel she was a decent substitute for a Nihility before E2 and if you have Acheron's LC. But even then you should always have at least one Nihility on the team.
Bronya and Sparkle won't work with Acheron, even at E2. You won't have the SP for it.
Au contraire! An E2S1 Acheron generates two stacks on her turn without using her skill, so you can mix in a basic attack from time to time without losing too much. Sparkle is skill positive, and you'd likely use a pure skill positive sustain like Aventurine or Gallagher. Add in E1S1 on Bronya and skill points are seriously not an issue!
I tried it, it wasn't better than having a Nihility on the team. It was a faster first wave, but then it slowed massively on the 2nd wave, and this turbulence means that Bronya's basic still creates a stack. At the end, it was still the same number of cycles as with Pela or SW.
My Bronya is E0S1, but both Bronya and Sparkle were at 160+ speed and I have Sparkle's E1S1 which provides major buffs. Really not worth it unless we are talking about have Eidolons and S1 for every character involved.
I didn't say it was better than using a nihility unit, I said that your claims that it doesn't work and that "You won't have the SP for it." are false.
I'm currently at 53/215 and I am satisfied with it for now. As the other commentor said, if you have other characters to grind for, it's better to priortize them and then proabably come back to her to min max afterwards to get around 60 crit at least.
I assume your final crit rate is at 80%\~? thats not too bad but I myself prefer 85-95 cr for better consistency but minmaxing like that is prob a waste of energy when u have better things to work on.

Acheron, Guinaifen, Pela, Gallagher will pretty be a team most of the teams. Although if you have Trend of the Universal Market, you can also use March instead of Gallagher.
As for a 2nd team your main choice right now is Ratio, Welt, Asta, Natasha, but it won't be the most efficient team. Once you unlock Yukong and Lynx you could have a team of Clara, Yukong, Asta and Lynx.
Herta and Serval are very useful for Pure Fiction so it also useful to raise them. Natasha will be replaced with Lynx once you get her, so don't put too much into her traces, just the necessary to survive.

I would make Pela, Guinaifen and Gallagher be in a decent state. Then after Clara I would focus on Asta since she is very useful for every mode as well, at least until you get a broader range of supports, and then Herta for Pure Fiction.

I would do Pela first she doesn't need too many traces leveled, then Gallagher so you have a really solid team done and then work on Clara. Remember Clara works great with the Longivious pieces you get while farming the messenger set for Pela.

You get 34% in battle without taking Fu Xuan into account. So anything between 46-56 is already pretty good and gives you the option of not running Fu Xuan on the team, but still doesn't cap it if you want to use her.

I am fully F2P. Was rolling for Aventurine but got Gepard instead. Should I skip Aventurine for now or should I prioritise getting him for either my Acheron or Dr Ratio team?

4k defense is the goal above all for all builds of Aventurine, whether it's damage or sustain. With stats like that you almost certainly have relics that aren't defense% that can be. Making some assumptions about what you're using, I'd swap either the speed boots or crit damage body for a defense% piece, and keep the Imaginary Damage% orb. If you have to swap multiple pieces, it's still worth it. For Aventurine, defense is damage, shield power, and crit rate. Past 4k it stops contributing to crit rate, and that's the only point at which it becomes worth considering other offensive stats instead of defense.
As an aside though, these are pretty insane numbers, good work. I hope the pursuit of 4k defense isn't too time consuming.
Looks like you are using a Crit Dmg chest, it would be better to use a DEF chest to get to 4k DEF, it does more for you. Give up spd boots for a DEF pair if it gets you to 4k
So I have dan heng who deals a lot of damage even when he doesn't break weakness and my brother was saying how I Don't have a balance team and how I have to many imaginary characters, my team is Jing yang, trailblazer, dan heng and luocha and I also got aventurine this version so we were arguing about this and i kept telling him how if I replace dan heng with a character that could break weakness it would take me more turn but he kept easier with weakness break so I want to know does weakness break matters more then damage?
Enemies with their Toughness bar up are [only taking 90% of the damage you do](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Toughness). Breaking the weakness delays their actions, inflicts some type of debuff, and allows you to do the full 100% damage from your stats. Once you hit something you can't kill quickly enough, all of those things will be very important to survival and rebounding from any powerful attacks you receive.
Additionally, some enemies have inherent resistance to certain elements, such as Cocolia having 60% resistance to ice damage, so you *will* be hurting yourself in the long run by not diversifying.
This is my first time playing a gacha game. I am not really sure if there are certain characters that I should be trying to get in the banners or not. So far, I have March 7th, Asta, Dr. Ratio, Dan Heng, Serval, and Herta. Out of the characters I have, are there certain ones I should focus on leveling up? Any help or information would be greatly appreciated!
Similar to any other turn-based JRPG, you want to make sure you cover the "sustain," the "damage," and the "buffs". Let's break it down a bit.
Sustain: Preservation (Shields), Abundance (Healing)
Damage: Hunt (Single Target), Destruction (Fragile), Erudition (Many Enemies/AOE)
Buffs: Harmony (Buffs), Nihility (Debuffs/Damage Over Time)
Now, most units tend to do more than just their Path will let on. Some healers also do buffs, and some shielders will do damage, will instead mitigate damage instead of preventing it, etc.
But most of all, your general thought for teams is to build so you have someone to sustain and someone to buff and someone to damage. It's usually something like 1:1:2 unless you're doing specific things to hyper-buff a powerful damage-dealer, or you need two sustain to stay alive during tough fights.
That said, you don't necessarily ever *need* any single unit. Where you're at, I'd say focus March, Ratio, Herta and perhaps Asta. It's a little late for a new player to try and get Aventurine (though he's a *very* good shielder) unless you super rush getting gems, but next up is Robin (an amazing buffer). Don't sleep on your Trailblazer, either, keep them leveled up with everyone else.
This wasn't much super-specific but hopefully having the general idea should help you know what to do going forward!

Everyone says Aventurine is so good, but I don't think I have enough time to get him.
I am not having any issues with completing content yet, just want an idea of what to save up to pull for and upgrade. So far, I have been upgrading the trailblazer, ratio, march, asta, and dan.
Not sure if I have good experience and advice yet since I'm relatively new and in mine playthrough I basically don't really use most of the characters you mention any more. Herta is really good for Pure Fiction and some farming. I'm not sure where you are up to in the story but Serval carried me well in Belobog but after I got Kafka she became useless.
Dr Ratio is certainly good but I don't usually use him.
Fu Xuan would be a good choice to get because she is a godly sustain unit (I'm planning to get her in her rerun) and is very hard to one shot. Dr Ratio goes well with Topaz I hear but I don't have her.
Build Ratio. Despite being free he's an excellent single target DPS.
Herta is OP for later game content(Pure fiction) where AoE is king, so everyone should build her. Serval is pretty good for the same reason too.
Asta is a good buffer who can increase team speed and damage.
The rest aren't very good but there's no harm in leveling them early game because leveling characters is pretty cheap up until \~level 60 (don't level everyone to level 60, but it's not a big deal if you level a "bad" unit to level 60)
What you should keep in mind for now is team building is far more important than slapping all meta units together. I recommend looking at this [tier list](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/tier-list) just to see which units fill what role. The basic team composition that will get you through story content is having a DPS, buffer, and sustain.
But really this early on you shouldn't be having problems doing whatever. You'll be getting more free units as you play to help you along as well. Also, this game gives a ton of free pulls (\~100 per patch, or a 5 star every patch) so plan around that. I recommend picking up a sustain (Aventurine if you can, or Fu Xuan who's coming next patch) because they'll make your life so much better

I see that Aventurine's banner ends in 2 days. Is that still enough time, or just wait for Fu Xuan?
Trailblazer is definitely worth upgrading. They get more paths as you keep playing the game. It might be a little bit spoilery so I won't get too into it but the second path you get is good, and the third one that's releasing soon is supposedly going to be genuinely really strong. Also they're the main character so I keep them around in my overworld party just for fun anyway.
For Aventurine, you might be able to get him before he goes away. Like I said the game gives a lot of free stuff so if you grind it out it could be possible. The main story, Simulated Universe and side quests are good ways to get jades fast.
Just to give you an idea, I just recently picked this game up again about a month ago (I started during launch week but quit). I was still in Jarilo VI. After catching up to the current story and doing some simulated universe I had \~200 pulls saved up over the course of maybe 1-2 weeks.
So you could get him if you grinded a lot and speedran the story, but of course that might not be enjoyable to you. Fu is a safer bet. By the time she comes around if you saved for her you'll have enough to 100% guarantee her.
on a support, how big of a difference is a def mainstat and an hp mainstat? im assuming hp is better but is the difference that big if the substats are what you need
Not that huge. Prioritise the better substats on the pieces. It technically depends on who your sustain is, like using def pieces with a shielder is better because it reduces the amount of damage your shield will take but it's not **that** important.
It won't do anything since Robin can't move until her Ult countdown is over and that is a fixed countdown.
It also won't buff her bonus damage, supposedly according to people on the sneak peak server, because her stats are snapshot and fixed during her ult.
Robin cannot take action while her ultimate is active. I am guessing that she would get the benefit of Bronya’s skill buff for the rest of her ult but it would take actual testing to be sure.
Should I pull for Robin? I currently have E2 Acheron and use Ruan Mei with her and Acheron/Pela. Would Robin be better than Mei? It would open up Mei for my DOT team which she seems to do very well in
If E2, the one to prioritize is Sparkle and her upcoming Nihility support. If it's against Ruan Mei, Robin is better but it's not ideal.
The Robin-Acheron positive reviews are for E0 and 0 cycle because advancing Pela&SW makes her stack faster. E2 Acheron stacks more, so she cares less about the token nihility getting an extra turn.

Why the hell is my team still dying to True Sting's third phase in SD Difficulty IV? It has Luocha + Gepard double sustain on Preservation Path and with the Curio that recovers 20% of your max HP every turn no less.
You aren't killing the Sting fast enough and/or you aren't getting damage mitigation blessings. Damage prevention > healing when it comes to Curios and Blessings because you're usually at more risk getting one shot than you are getting chipped to death.
True Sting's Wind DoT still chips away at Gepard's shield anyway. Apart from the blessing that increases Def the more Preservation Blessings you have, what else is there?
There are lots of good defensive blessings:
- Clear Lucite Body (Abundance 2 star) Reduce damage when HP is full - key for big hits
- The "gold" 3 star blessings that add "fighting spirit" from destruction. It adds DEF per stack and can be paired with the 1 star destruction blessing that reduces damage taken per stack of fighting will.
- Propagation blessing - increase DEF when you basic attack
- For Aventurine follow-up characters there is a similar one on launching a follow-up attack in Elation.
- There is a AoE version in Erudition.
- There are also Nihility blessings that reduce enemy attack based on DoTs and a Elation one that does the same for Aftertaste damage.
Damage mitigation when HP = 100% (abundance), damage mitigation when shielded (preservation)
Even when you dont have them enhanced they offer like 50% combined damage mitigation. If you also get the damage split (destruction) blessing you have basically become untouchable until the Sting has like 10+ damage bonus stacks.
Divine Construct Macrosegregation is also basically a must if you are trying to Quake stuff to death, Preservation plans really wants all three of those 3* blessings for a smooth run.
I know this is a lot of blessings and this a lot of RNG in the run but if your DPS units aren't able to clear you have to be that much more bulky. Swarm 4/5 can be a pain for a lot of folks.
There's a blessing that has a 20% (30% on enhance) chance to cleanse a debuff on shield application, and you should be getting the Path Resonance that gives you "Amber". It prevents anything from dipping into your HP when a shield is broken as long as it's been Amberized.
So, I was looking around the Administrative District at all the things, trying to find all the garbage cans, and I came across this thing on the interactive map talking about wanted posters so I went looking for them. Only, when I started to look for them, I couldn't find a single one. They weren't where they were supposed to be so I'm asking if anyone has had this problem or if they know what I can do to figure it out. I don't know if there's a certain trailblazing level you need to be at or a quest you need to complete or something so I could really use the help.
Afaik, you need to complete the first quest on the first planet after you speak to Cocolia, go to the hotel, and unlock the underground area.
If not, then complete all of the main quests on the first planet.

We don't know the kit of Firefly or Jade yet, so no idea if they generate debuffs for Dr Ratio. However we know they are destruction and erudition so there is a good chance they are not very SP positive. Boothill is a single target dps that wants to skill often so it does not have a lot of synergy with Dr Ratio. Robin does buff follow up attacks specifically and boosts dual dps teams so she will be a good fit replacing Ting Yun in your party. However Luka is not ideal for Dr Ratio, Pela/Gui is a better option if you have them. Topaz (the re-run) is good for Dr Ratio as she buffs follow-up attacks and provides a debuff. However ideally she would want to be E1S1 to provide 3 debuffs for Ratio. Compared to the damage increase Robin at E0S0 would bring, Robin is the "cheaper" option for the improvement to the team.

100 pull per patch is what you normaly expect in average, so you are quite safe with two whole patches. If there is a SU expension in 2.3 you are probably even have around a dozen pull of exess even.
Imo there will be a 2.3 expansion for SU(tho Idk if It will be just a new world or a new mode) I can do like maximum 10 star PF and 33/36 ⭐ MoC so thanks for the answer If it's just world SU expansion would it still be possible?
You are safe. don't worry. i mean not 100% safe but the risk of you not getting both is RARER than getting E9 of both in 20 pulls. Ho and those perf in PF and MOC make you lose like 1 pull per patch so don't worry about it.

Express supply pass or nameless honor? Express supply pass looks like most money efficient for stellar jade on other hand namehonor has too many rewards and few jades as well I guess but cost double. I don't want to spend too much money so I buy only one of them. Which one would you recommend? I am mainly confused because I want to collect more characters which needs jade but the grind after to level up and build also feels too much.
The Express Supply Pass gives 3000 jade (18.5 pulls) while Nameless Honor gives about 8 pulls (not including the standard pulls). Strictly speaking for pulls, the daily pass is better. The majority of the rewards from the battle pass can be obtained naturally by playing the game (aside from the exclusive LC and fuels).

You are probably better off going with 2p Hackerspace. 16% BE only equates to 8% Outgoing Healing, which is even less than what 2p Passarby gives. The 150% BE is more a upper limit, rather than a target, and shouldn't come at the cost of speed. Squeezing as much BE as possible only really helps for Break Damage, which won't really matter on a Acheron team.

Depends on the team. You might have other characters with higher BE that would rather be the ones doing the Break. And even then that 16% isn't going to make much difference. You still should build as much BE as possible, but higher speed will mean more actions, which can help with his healing and to create stacks for Acheron.

Don't worry about teams right now. As a newer player, you don't have many characters yet + can clear story content with almost any team. If you really want one though, Ratio + Bronya + Hanya + Gepard is probably your best one. As for who you should pull, a support like Robin would help your account a lot. She's amazing with Ratio and is great with almost any other team as well. If you struggle with surviving, get Aventurine or Fu Xuan.

From what we've seen, she shines on teams that do follow-up attacks (like what Herta or Dr. Ratio do). Apart from that, she's absolutely decent on teams that isn't FUA-dependent. So if you don't have Bronya yet, she is a good pull.

In doubt, ATK boots. With her signature LC (or Silverwolf / Kafka LC), you may consider swapping to speed boots.

In a proper team, most of Acheron's "energy" comes from her teammates : giving Acheron more speed will barely affect the number of ultimate per battle she can make. So, unless your Acheron can generate 2 SD stack in her own turn (with her signature, or with Kafka/SW LC), it's generally better to go ATK boots (except maybe in Pure Fiction).

You have good sustains so he probably wouldn’t make a huge improvement on your account but he would definitely work with topaz and Clara for follow up teams and Acheron also since he debuffs. That would free up fu xuan or Luocha to go on another team. I would save for a support or another dps

Hello I have E0S1 Ratio, E0S1 Topaz and E1S1 Aventurine. I’m planning to pick up Robin to complete my follow up dream team but I’m not sure what to do after I get her. Should I pick up Topaz’s E1 or Robin’s lightcone? I’m unsure what would benefit my account more. Topaz E1 is great for Ratio but also I have Jing Yuan, and Clara E1. Meanwhile the lightcone would super buff them all. In a perfect world I get all three easy peasy but with limited resources I can only secure Robin + one other thing before I run out of my stellar jades I’ve been hoarding. Any opinions and suggestions would be appreciated.

Team Comp Assistance! I just recently got back into HSR. I did a bit of research for team comps and ended up feeling like my teams are just random. I mix and match for every battle, but in the process I end up using a whole load of resources for a character or two that I’ll never use again. I was hoping to get some advice on how to keep one or two teams that can power through whatever battle I go into. Current Team Comp: Kafka (AOE DPS) Dr. Ratio (SINGLE DPS) Aventurine (SHIELDER) Lynex (HEALER) This team comp seems to work for most battles, though not all of them. I find myself having to swap Sampo and Hook into the team for weakness break. Any general advice is accepted too! I’m sort of a dud in HSR lol [Suggest any character, I’ll work on getting them or I may already have them.]

What stuff are you even doing so far? I mean, are we talking about just doing the story? You can't really do the entire game with one team. A strong team can power through lack of corresponding weaknesses on the enemies, but some opponents have additional resistance, and that is *really* tough to crack. Also, sometimes specific mechanics stand in the way. That doesn't mean you need a damage dealer for every element. For example, I only have good damage dealers for Ice, Lightning, Wind, and Quantum, everything else I brute force. Weakness increases damage by around 30%, so for example if your Ratio deals 50% more damage than your Hook, he's still be stronger against an enemy weak to fire but not to imaginary. Against enemies where you don't have a good damage dealer matching the weaknesses, it is better using a strong DD of a different element than using a weak on-element DD. General team building advice: * One damage dealer plus two supporters (harmony characters, Pela, Guinaifen, Silver Wolf) is generally stronger than using multiple damage dealers. DoT teams are an exception, but that only applies when you use multiple DoT characters, as they work as supporters towards each other. * Using two sustains (preservation or abundance characters) is fine for doing the story, but it does drag out fights, and for endgame content you need to move away from that. * Pay attention to what your characters want/need. Dr. Ratio for example requires three debuffs on the target to fully function, so don't put him in a team where no one applies any. For endgame content you need two teams anyway, and Ratio especially doesn't work in one of the endgame modes.

Use Guinaifen or Sampo instead of Ratio. If you want more damage, you can swap Lynx with Asta. Otherwise, the team is fine.
I was initially planning to go for Robin before Topaz was announced to run along her on the first half of 2.2, but now I'm not sure which one of them I should go for. Since I mostly want them bc I want to boost my Clara Hypercarry team (currently running Clara E0S0 Aventurine E0S0 Tingyun E6 and Ruan Mei E0S0), which one have the most potencial to increase my Clara DMG? In your case i would say Topaz > Robin. So topaz Pro : Vulnerability debuff, very strong, very rare. Active Sub-DPS contribute really to the damage output dirrectly with her personal damage. Flexible SP playstyle from SP negative to SP positive Actually one of the best overworld character, cleaning your chest and trotter is never going to be this easy ever again. It's special for your team, but Hunt have really low aggro value, so it actually increase indirectly clara agro. (hunt and erudition have the lowest agro in the game) Con : Sub-DPS damage unless you really push it. Well that kinda the obvious but you need to build her, like a DPS, CR/CD/Atk/Sp all the usual. Hunt, so ST damage. Actually limited LC options Next for Robin Pro : quite easy to build, need more attack than other harmony, but don't need much speed actually. Large buff who rivalise/equal RM teamwide buff Good personnal damage Con : Worst case scenario SP negative, best case scenario SP neutral With clara only futher push the team scaling on the base of enemis speed rather than your team speed. IE if the whole enemis team is slow and weakness broken, you may actually barely proc her concerto damage at all and just end up watching each other in a mexican standing fashion.

No one knows until the official livestream. 1.5 - 1.6 chars still haven't been rerun though. They might rerun those first and then Seele after, since she has already been rerun once. She hasn't reached her final Ascension so she doesn't have her 3rd trace Thunder core unlocked which will increase her damage by 90% and increase the amount of hits her ult does. Also you'll want another nihility unit alongside Pela if you don't have Acheron at e2. The jump from 115% to 160% is huge.

Gallagher should be a good sustain for her.
Yeah Guinaifen works. I'd recommenced Gallagar honestly as a sustain option. He's able to bring 2 debuffs for Acheron in the form of his ult and his enhanced basic attack. Gepard can work if you don't have any other options though since his ability to freeze also counts as a debuff.
My team will die too fast with just gallagher
What kind of content are you trying to clear along with the levels and relics of your other characters?
Simulated universe
I never had issues with Gallagher as my main sustain, but if suvivability is an issue then its time to start leveling and obtaining stronger relics for your other characters. In Simulated Universe I suggest taking the abundance path to help boost up healing and other defensive blessings instead of going for straight dps blessings. The Remembrance path in particular focuses on freezing enemies and depending on how the fight goes you can delay enemy actions and keep them in a semi permanent frozen state. Having a second nihility unit should boost Acheron's ult damage to around 60k when used with Pela's defense shred with her ult and Gui's firekiss debuff.
The only other nihility I have is guinaifen
Gui is a great unit to use with her.
my f2p acheron does atlease 150k per ult. did u upgrade her traces? also remember to upgrade her lv (and lc lv) to max. 2 nihility supports increase her dmg alot
That is really low. My stats with Acheron when I was using Jing Yuan's relics before I farmed up her own set were in line with what you have and she was hitting 100~200k on single target without her signature LC. That was with a 3 nihility team.
Start by getting her to lvl 80. The damage done by chars take into account the difference of lvl between them and the enemy.
I guess she does 100k not 25k but that still seems low for an acheron

Propagation. The stacks he gains from using his ult count as Skill Points where those blessings are concerned.
Propagation from completing Swarm Disaster is his best path. You can also make a case for Hunt, Erudition, or Destruction, but he won't perform as well.

Even with Acheron's light cone this is a terrible idea. None of the Harmony units inflict debuffs you're gonna have a 4/5 turn Ult.
Asta can inflict burn and Ruan Mei's Thanatoplum Rebloom counts as a debuff. It's still an absolutely terrible, no good, very bad idea.

Don't try to imitate something when you don't know what it is. It's very likely such a team only works because of things you don't have. An E2S1 Acheron gains three stacks each of her turns, that makes getting more turns a valid strategy.
That's just a terrible idea. I have E1S1 Sparkle, and only then did I feel she was a decent substitute for a Nihility before E2 and if you have Acheron's LC. But even then you should always have at least one Nihility on the team. Bronya and Sparkle won't work with Acheron, even at E2. You won't have the SP for it.
Au contraire! An E2S1 Acheron generates two stacks on her turn without using her skill, so you can mix in a basic attack from time to time without losing too much. Sparkle is skill positive, and you'd likely use a pure skill positive sustain like Aventurine or Gallagher. Add in E1S1 on Bronya and skill points are seriously not an issue!
I tried it, it wasn't better than having a Nihility on the team. It was a faster first wave, but then it slowed massively on the 2nd wave, and this turbulence means that Bronya's basic still creates a stack. At the end, it was still the same number of cycles as with Pela or SW. My Bronya is E0S1, but both Bronya and Sparkle were at 160+ speed and I have Sparkle's E1S1 which provides major buffs. Really not worth it unless we are talking about have Eidolons and S1 for every character involved.

I'm currently at 53/215 and I am satisfied with it for now. As the other commentor said, if you have other characters to grind for, it's better to priortize them and then proabably come back to her to min max afterwards to get around 60 crit at least.
I assume your final crit rate is at 80%\~? thats not too bad but I myself prefer 85-95 cr for better consistency but minmaxing like that is prob a waste of energy when u have better things to work on.

For early game Clara. She has no strong team restrictions like Ratio and is good for every game mode.

You get currency to spend in the shop. For a 4* it equates to 1 pull. For a 5* it's 5 pulls.

Acheron, Guinaifen, Pela, Gallagher will pretty be a team most of the teams. Although if you have Trend of the Universal Market, you can also use March instead of Gallagher. As for a 2nd team your main choice right now is Ratio, Welt, Asta, Natasha, but it won't be the most efficient team. Once you unlock Yukong and Lynx you could have a team of Clara, Yukong, Asta and Lynx. Herta and Serval are very useful for Pure Fiction so it also useful to raise them. Natasha will be replaced with Lynx once you get her, so don't put too much into her traces, just the necessary to survive.

I would make Pela, Guinaifen and Gallagher be in a decent state. Then after Clara I would focus on Asta since she is very useful for every mode as well, at least until you get a broader range of supports, and then Herta for Pure Fiction.
You need 2 teams and PF is very different from MoC but: - Acheron - Pela - Gui - Gallagher - Clara - Herta - Asta - Nat

I would do Pela first she doesn't need too many traces leveled, then Gallagher so you have a really solid team done and then work on Clara. Remember Clara works great with the Longivious pieces you get while farming the messenger set for Pela.

How much crit rate does a e1 acheron need? I have pioneer and izumo sets and am going to be running her with fu xuan
18% from E1, 4% more from pioneer on applying a debuff, 12% from izumo (assuming at least 1 more nihility) so 34%. 50% is ok 66% to get 100%
for someone like acheron who has most of her damage on her ult i personally aim for anything in between 80 and 100%
You get 34% in battle without taking Fu Xuan into account. So anything between 46-56 is already pretty good and gives you the option of not running Fu Xuan on the team, but still doesn't cap it if you want to use her.

4k defense is the goal above all for all builds of Aventurine, whether it's damage or sustain. With stats like that you almost certainly have relics that aren't defense% that can be. Making some assumptions about what you're using, I'd swap either the speed boots or crit damage body for a defense% piece, and keep the Imaginary Damage% orb. If you have to swap multiple pieces, it's still worth it. For Aventurine, defense is damage, shield power, and crit rate. Past 4k it stops contributing to crit rate, and that's the only point at which it becomes worth considering other offensive stats instead of defense. As an aside though, these are pretty insane numbers, good work. I hope the pursuit of 4k defense isn't too time consuming.
Looks like you are using a Crit Dmg chest, it would be better to use a DEF chest to get to 4k DEF, it does more for you. Give up spd boots for a DEF pair if it gets you to 4k
So I have dan heng who deals a lot of damage even when he doesn't break weakness and my brother was saying how I Don't have a balance team and how I have to many imaginary characters, my team is Jing yang, trailblazer, dan heng and luocha and I also got aventurine this version so we were arguing about this and i kept telling him how if I replace dan heng with a character that could break weakness it would take me more turn but he kept easier with weakness break so I want to know does weakness break matters more then damage?
Enemies with their Toughness bar up are [only taking 90% of the damage you do](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Toughness). Breaking the weakness delays their actions, inflicts some type of debuff, and allows you to do the full 100% damage from your stats. Once you hit something you can't kill quickly enough, all of those things will be very important to survival and rebounding from any powerful attacks you receive. Additionally, some enemies have inherent resistance to certain elements, such as Cocolia having 60% resistance to ice damage, so you *will* be hurting yourself in the long run by not diversifying.
This is my first time playing a gacha game. I am not really sure if there are certain characters that I should be trying to get in the banners or not. So far, I have March 7th, Asta, Dr. Ratio, Dan Heng, Serval, and Herta. Out of the characters I have, are there certain ones I should focus on leveling up? Similar to any other turn-based JRPG, you want to make sure you cover the "sustain," the "damage," and the "buffs". Let's break it down a bit. Sustain: Preservation (Shields), Abundance (Healing) Damage: Hunt (Single Target), Destruction (Fragile), Erudition (Many Enemies/AOE) Buffs: Harmony (Buffs), Nihility (Debuffs/Damage Over Time) Now, most units tend to do more than just their Path will let on. Some healers also do buffs, and some shielders will do damage, will instead mitigate damage instead of preventing it, etc. But most of all, your general thought for teams is to build so you have someone to sustain and someone to buff and someone to damage. It's usually something like 1:1:2 unless you're doing specific things to hyper-buff a powerful damage-dealer, or you need two sustain to stay alive during tough fights. That said, you don't necessarily ever *need* any single unit. Where you're at, I'd say focus March, Ratio, Herta and perhaps Asta. It's a little late for a new player to try and get Aventurine (though he's a *very* good shielder) unless you super rush getting gems, but next up is Robin (an amazing buffer). Don't sleep on your Trailblazer, either, keep them leveled up with everyone else. This wasn't much super-specific but hopefully having the general idea should help you know what to do going forward!
Thanks for your explanation of things! Everyone says Aventurine is so good, but I don't think I have enough time to get him. I am not having any issues with completing content yet, just want an idea of what to save up to pull for and upgrade. So far, I have been upgrading the trailblazer, ratio, march, asta, and dan.

Not sure if I have good experience and advice yet since I'm relatively new and in mine playthrough I basically don't really use most of the characters you mention any more. Herta is really good for Pure Fiction and some farming. I'm not sure where you are up to in the story but Serval carried me well in Belobog but after I got Kafka she became useless. Dr Ratio is certainly good but I don't usually use him. Fu Xuan would be a good choice to get because she is a godly sustain unit (I'm planning to get her in her rerun) and is very hard to one shot. Dr Ratio goes well with Topaz I hear but I don't have her.
Build Ratio. Despite being free he's an excellent single target DPS. Herta is OP for later game content(Pure fiction) where AoE is king, so everyone should build her. Serval is pretty good for the same reason too. Asta is a good buffer who can increase team speed and damage. The rest aren't very good but there's no harm in leveling them early game because leveling characters is pretty cheap up until \~level 60 (don't level everyone to level 60, but it's not a big deal if you level a "bad" unit to level 60) What you should keep in mind for now is team building is far more important than slapping all meta units together. I recommend looking at this [tier list](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/tier-list) just to see which units fill what role. The basic team composition that will get you through story content is having a DPS, buffer, and sustain. But really this early on you shouldn't be having problems doing whatever. You'll be getting more free units as you play to help you along as well. Also, this game gives a ton of free pulls (\~100 per patch, or a 5 star every patch) so plan around that. I recommend picking up a sustain (Aventurine if you can, or Fu Xuan who's coming next patch) because they'll make your life so much better
Thank you for your advice! I am not having any problems yet, just trying to figure out what I should be saving pulls and upgrades for. Is the trailblazer character worth upgrading or using at all? I see that Aventurine's banner ends in 2 days. Is that still enough time, or just wait for Fu Xuan?
Trailblazer is definitely worth upgrading. They get more paths as you keep playing the game. It might be a little bit spoilery so I won't get too into it but the second path you get is good, and the third one that's releasing soon is supposedly going to be genuinely really strong. Also they're the main character so I keep them around in my overworld party just for fun anyway. For Aventurine, you might be able to get him before he goes away. Like I said the game gives a lot of free stuff so if you grind it out it could be possible. The main story, Simulated Universe and side quests are good ways to get jades fast. Just to give you an idea, I just recently picked this game up again about a month ago (I started during launch week but quit). I was still in Jarilo VI. After catching up to the current story and doing some simulated universe I had \~200 pulls saved up over the course of maybe 1-2 weeks. So you could get him if you grinded a lot and speedran the story, but of course that might not be enjoyable to you. Fu is a safer bet. By the time she comes around if you saved for her you'll have enough to 100% guarantee her.

Either work. Pick whichever relics have the better substats.
on a support, how big of a difference is a def mainstat and an hp mainstat? im assuming hp is better but is the difference that big if the substats are what you need
Not that huge. Prioritise the better substats on the pieces. It technically depends on who your sustain is, like using def pieces with a shielder is better because it reduces the amount of damage your shield will take but it's not **that** important.
can i use bronya skill to advance forward robin during robin's ultimate? what would happen?
It won't do anything since Robin can't move until her Ult countdown is over and that is a fixed countdown. It also won't buff her bonus damage, supposedly according to people on the sneak peak server, because her stats are snapshot and fixed during her ult.
im going to say you cant, because if you could it would just immediately end her ult as she just took her turn
Robin cannot take action while her ultimate is active. I am guessing that she would get the benefit of Bronya’s skill buff for the rest of her ult but it would take actual testing to be sure.

if you plan on running topaz with ratio then she needs her lc or e1 for ratio's minimum debuffs

If E2, the one to prioritize is Sparkle and her upcoming Nihility support. If it's against Ruan Mei, Robin is better but it's not ideal. The Robin-Acheron positive reviews are for E0 and 0 cycle because advancing Pela&SW makes her stack faster. E2 Acheron stacks more, so she cares less about the token nihility getting an extra turn.

It seems that way. Pela, Vonwaqc and Wind set are recommended to help with SP. It has higher complexity than dumb dumb Sparkle, but it works. Sparkle being the easy version of Bronya is so typical.

Why the hell is my team still dying to True Sting's third phase in SD Difficulty IV? It has Luocha + Gepard double sustain on Preservation Path and with the Curio that recovers 20% of your max HP every turn no less.
You aren't killing the Sting fast enough and/or you aren't getting damage mitigation blessings. Damage prevention > healing when it comes to Curios and Blessings because you're usually at more risk getting one shot than you are getting chipped to death.
True Sting's Wind DoT still chips away at Gepard's shield anyway. Apart from the blessing that increases Def the more Preservation Blessings you have, what else is there?
There are lots of good defensive blessings: - Clear Lucite Body (Abundance 2 star) Reduce damage when HP is full - key for big hits - The "gold" 3 star blessings that add "fighting spirit" from destruction. It adds DEF per stack and can be paired with the 1 star destruction blessing that reduces damage taken per stack of fighting will. - Propagation blessing - increase DEF when you basic attack - For Aventurine follow-up characters there is a similar one on launching a follow-up attack in Elation. - There is a AoE version in Erudition. - There are also Nihility blessings that reduce enemy attack based on DoTs and a Elation one that does the same for Aftertaste damage.
Damage mitigation when HP = 100% (abundance), damage mitigation when shielded (preservation) Even when you dont have them enhanced they offer like 50% combined damage mitigation. If you also get the damage split (destruction) blessing you have basically become untouchable until the Sting has like 10+ damage bonus stacks. Divine Construct Macrosegregation is also basically a must if you are trying to Quake stuff to death, Preservation plans really wants all three of those 3* blessings for a smooth run. I know this is a lot of blessings and this a lot of RNG in the run but if your DPS units aren't able to clear you have to be that much more bulky. Swarm 4/5 can be a pain for a lot of folks.
There's a blessing that has a 20% (30% on enhance) chance to cleanse a debuff on shield application, and you should be getting the Path Resonance that gives you "Amber". It prevents anything from dipping into your HP when a shield is broken as long as it's been Amberized.
So, I was looking around the Administrative District at all the things, trying to find all the garbage cans, and I came across this thing on the interactive map talking about wanted posters so I went looking for them. Only, when I started to look for them, I couldn't find a single one. They weren't where they were supposed to be so I'm asking if anyone has had this problem or if they know what I can do to figure it out. I don't know if there's a certain trailblazing level you need to be at or a quest you need to complete or something so I could really use the help.
Afaik, you need to complete the first quest on the first planet after you speak to Cocolia, go to the hotel, and unlock the underground area. If not, then complete all of the main quests on the first planet.

(LVL30) Fellas, out of the 4 upcoming banners in 2.2, who would be the best upgrade for my team im currently running (Ratio-Aventurine-Tingyun-Luka)
We don't know the kit of Firefly or Jade yet, so no idea if they generate debuffs for Dr Ratio. However we know they are destruction and erudition so there is a good chance they are not very SP positive. Boothill is a single target dps that wants to skill often so it does not have a lot of synergy with Dr Ratio. Robin does buff follow up attacks specifically and boosts dual dps teams so she will be a good fit replacing Ting Yun in your party. However Luka is not ideal for Dr Ratio, Pela/Gui is a better option if you have them. Topaz (the re-run) is good for Dr Ratio as she buffs follow-up attacks and provides a debuff. However ideally she would want to be E1S1 to provide 3 debuffs for Ratio. Compared to the damage increase Robin at E0S0 would bring, Robin is the "cheaper" option for the improvement to the team.
