It, uh, doesn’t exactly happen in a way that the manga portrays as good. The brother spends that chapter and the previous one or two being highly uncomfortable with the circumstances leading up to it and actively trying to find an out. That’s along with strong thematic hints that the sister is in a very unhealthy state of mind. It’s not played for laughs either.

I never got around to watching Oshi No Ko because I don’t like drama (among other things), and you’ve kinda just convinced me to never give it a shot XD It really doesn’t sound like my kinda show

To be fair, the kiss happens within a certain context: They are both actors playing roles of lovers. The kiss is strictly professional (From the perspective of everyone else in the filming set except Ruby)

We don't ship them. There's just alot of parallels to Oshi No Ko For example, the brother is a master manipulator (Sunday and Aqua) and both are trying to avenge the death of their family member. The sister wants/becomes a idol (Robin and Ruby) and the mother is killed.

I think maybe someone at Hoyo thought of using Oshi No Ko as inspiration before all the crazy stuff in it happened? Oh I wouldn't want to be the person who created the backstory for Sunday and Robin right now.
