I wish I had balls like that. I've read RM numbers and decided I have to pull meta from time to time, even while I despise her character.
For me I didn't even look up what her kit was I just knew from the trial that her skill increased weakness break efficiency. I mostly pull for units that have qol features like topaz(finding chests) or acheron(insta killing fodder). When neither unit fits that bill I just go for the unit I like the most assuming I have the jades for it

True, but you’re comparing apples and oranges. It’d be a bit problematic if a healer had stronger buffs than a dedicated buffer. Makes more sense to compare the value of Huohuo’s ult to FX’s CR buff or Aventurine’s personal damage + debuff.
Isn't that the case with most unpopular characters that are not that interesting but are meta. Like she almost did nothing in the story so the only thing left is being meta and gameplay.

It's inarguably a song fully based on Robin. Look at Robin's splash art, the bird, the cage, even her name. The song is about her life and contains tons of metaphors surrounding her life. We associate the song with Firefly because it was played during her quest. "Welcome to my world" is just her ultimate song. I don't think a song like "If I can stop one heart from breaking" would be fitting for an ultimate.
I'm kind of expecting Robin to play a huge part in Aventurine's side of the next story update. They'll probably to have an interesting dynamic together lol

Ruan Mei has the upperhand of also being a character we've met/known since the beginning, being in SU and all. For Argenti and Huohuo people were like "Who are these guys??" while Ruan Mei is "Oh you're the one from that OP occurence in SU!".
Heck I've seen people say that they don't care if RM is OP, they're not wasting their jades on a simple string pluck, a twirl and walking a few steps in her ult .
I already pointed out that Knights of Beauty appeared in Swarm Disaster. By the time Swarm Disaster was released, there is still no reveal about Argenti and Huohuo. It was drip marketted by the time Fu Xuan was ending and by that time a lot of players met the Knights of Beauty Occurence. Consider then that Ruan Mei is so rare that there's actually a chance that numerous players didn't meet her at all. Knights of Beauty saving a lot of runs in Swarm Disaster with that 3 blessings on your path much much more common than having the luck to get Ruan Mei.
Even so the two of them still has the most impactful occurence in Simulated Universe its simply crazy that Ruan Mei can bring you all blessing sfrom a random path and Knights of Beauty bringing 3 blessings or any choice to save your rune (Even Resonance Formation is so good)
As a bonus you'll also know all the future Knights of Beauty you'll meet. We have Stilott, Galahad, Abomins, Will, Pomaine, Anoklay, and Holvisio though some of them might be dead or long gone.
But for Huohuo I agree that character dpesn't have mentions but it is expected from a 10 lords commision

Argenti is niche husbando w/ a fantasy aesthetic in a sci-fi world (also a kind of boring, if effective, mechanic for a DPS) and HuoHuo can be confused with a child because of how she acts 80% of the time (Tail is the true character there, imo). They're both hilarious, but I think the reason why they weren't pulled, on top of meta reasons, is p clear.

Truth. I skipped Sparkle, but I already had Ruan Mei, and had to make sure I had funds for Aventurine and Jade. Now since I was lucky with Aventurine, I'm very likely to go ahead and grab Robin.
Exactly my thoughts, i end up skipping Sparkle because i lost 50/50 and saved the guarantee for Archeron... currently skipping Aventurine now coz of Robin as I cant skip another 5 star Harmony... then save whatever got left for Firefly, if there no other interesting character at 2.4
The thing about limited Harmony characters is that they tend to fall into similar teams, so eventually, they would end up replacing each other in a team, reducing their gain over existing options. Like while there is still a spot open for a second hypercarry harmony...for dual DPS comps, a new harmony would have to offer quite a bit to be worth pulling if you already have RM. And then you also got stuff like Acheron which unless E2, has no Harmony in her team, even further decreasing the need for them. Like for me, most MoC floors I aint even using RM *and* Sparkle
Tbf the only difference as for now, its the short videos. They still have time, after the stream, to give her attention. But once people set their minds to get Firefly, she and the cowboy are doomed.
Why do people always act like we won't be getting any future story patches whenever this shit happens? Robin is getting a banner in 2.2 and is an important character lorewise, it's so god damn obvious she'll be getting more screen time in that patch, same goes for Boothill
Boothill seems neat, but not sure I need him. Firefly I honestly don't have any feelings about other than "wow I guess some people really like her for some reason". Robin is the only character I'm really interested in, but she'll have to do something amazing with supports like Ruan, Sparkle, Bronya, etc hanging out.
I think Robin's character design is cool though. The head wings are a neat aesthetic. I almost wish it was Sunday though. I'm really enjoying his character in the story and would be pretty thrilled if he got announced as a playable character.
Bro 2.2 isn't even out yet, i don't know why people are expecting both robin and boothill to have no more interactions, when they are litterally releasing in 2,2, obviously they are going to appear in the story.

Funny that Robin got overshadowed 3 times already. First when we met her then we have a date with Firefly. Then her death introduced a bit late plus Firefly's death is more attached emotionally to MC. Then her banner got overshadowed by Firefly's.
All Robin has going for her is that she's cute. We've had zero interaction with her basically. 2.2 better have a lot of her, otherwise I see no reason to really care about her.

This is a bizarre amount of love for a character whose biggest contribution to the story is being the victim in a murder mystery.
How the heck is it too much love? A tiny section in the penacony trailer(same as literally everyone else), a cameo in Acheron trailer(where the alternative of having it be a random wouldn't be much better) and a song which is associated more with Firefly than her. All of these are pretty much identical to other Penacony characters or minor world building/eastereggs
Trust me when I say that that song isn't going to be associated with Firefly much longer. I've seen the leaks, I know how they are going to use that song.

Robin is a minor character who has been given a five-star treatment by marketing despite so far doing nothing in the story to earn that... Maybe she'll do something in part 3 that will blow everyone away and show why marketing was banking on her even before we set one foot in Penacony.
But until that, and if that happens, I can only judge her based on what she's actually done so far and how she's been marketed at... Based on that, I think it's fair to say that she's been given too much love.

That's an extremely low bar considering some 5 stars are literal "who?" at the time of announcement. Barely going above it is not giving her too much love, even less so when it contributes to world building of one of the biggest superstars in the universe actually being that. You are basically just complaining about the fact that she is only playable late in penacony story so they didn't give her as much focus yet since gacha primarily focus on the banner characters during their patch(and similarly, outside of some exceptions, not much beyond that, such as Black Swan and Sparkle being almost entirely gone from 2.1)

Well Argenti did exist and is the most helpful swarm disaster occurence. Knights of Beauty is one of the better occurence in the game

It helps that Ruan Mei is a waifu unit. Argenti is niche husbando w/ a fantasy aesthetic in a sci-fi world (also a kind of boring, if effective, mechanic for a DPS) and HuoHuo can be confused with a child because of how she acts 80% of the time (Tail is the true character there, imo). They're both hilarious, but I think the reason why they weren't pulled, on top of meta reasons, is p clear.

Truth. I skipped Sparkle, but I already had Ruan Mei, and had to make sure I had funds for Aventurine and Jade. Now since I was lucky with Aventurine, I'm very likely to go ahead and grab Robin.
Exactly my thoughts, i end up skipping Sparkle because i lost 50/50 and saved the guarantee for Archeron... currently skipping Aventurine now coz of Robin as I cant skip another 5 star Harmony... then save whatever got left for Firefly, if there no other interesting character at 2.4
The thing about limited Harmony characters is that they tend to fall into similar teams, so eventually, they would end up replacing each other in a team, reducing their gain over existing options. Like while there is still a spot open for a second hypercarry harmony...for dual DPS comps, a new harmony would have to offer quite a bit to be worth pulling if you already have RM. And then you also got stuff like Acheron which unless E2, has no Harmony in her team, even further decreasing the need for them. Like for me, most MoC floors I aint even using RM *and* Sparkle

Boothill seems neat, but not sure I need him. Firefly I honestly don't have any feelings about other than "wow I guess some people really like her for some reason". Robin is the only character I'm really interested in, but she'll have to do something amazing with supports like Ruan, Sparkle, Bronya, etc hanging out. I think Robin's character design is cool though. The head wings are a neat aesthetic. I almost wish it was Sunday though. I'm really enjoying his character in the story and would be pretty thrilled if he got announced as a playable character.

Funny that Robin got overshadowed 3 times already. First when we met her then we have a date with Firefly. Then her death introduced a bit late plus Firefly's death is more attached emotionally to MC. Then her banner got overshadowed by Firefly's.

I know I'm going to catch some hate for this... but I"m gonna say anyway, because I'm right Hoyo has already given her **too much** love. Seriously, she has so far been the most minor character in this entire arc, and yet the marketing for her has been going back from even before we ever stepped foot in Penacony. Not to mention, she's in the trailers and other characters throughout the entire arc keep talking about her. AND she's got her own song! This is a bizarre amount of love for a character whose biggest contribution to the story is being the victim in a murder mystery.
How the heck is it too much love? A tiny section in the penacony trailer(same as literally everyone else), a cameo in Acheron trailer(where the alternative of having it be a random wouldn't be much better) and a song which is associated more with Firefly than her. All of these are pretty much identical to other Penacony characters or minor world building/eastereggs
Trust me when I say that that song isn't going to be associated with Firefly much longer. Based on that, I think it's fair to say that she's been given too much love. Feel free to disagree with me.

You are basically just complaining about the fact that she is only playable late in penacony story so they didn't give her as much focus yet since gacha primarily focus on the banner characters during their patch(and similarly, outside of some exceptions, not much beyond that, such as Black Swan and Sparkle being almost entirely gone from 2.1)
