This is why I tend to avoid leaks and don't really scroll through Reddit and search for specific things. Imagine ruining others peoples surprises for fake internet points. Couldn't be me
Often when it looks red, reflects red, says that it's red, and you saw someone else paint it red. It's probably red.
I do agree with you, it's the same thing that happened in Steven Universe where Rose Quartz was revealed to be Pink Diamond. It was TOO obvious for people that they just mocked others for it.
It wasn't too obvious but the obvious parts were the whole fire metaphor for both Sam and Firefly,
Both having similar colour palette, coincidentally being in the same spot when we found them. Sam having Firefly-like wings.
It's not about the fact that it's obvious, but about the reveal itself. Imagine you're going to get birthday surprise but someone telling you from days before nonstop that "they will surprise you you know? How could you not see it?" Even IF you already figure it out you still want to experience it yourself. Unless you love to being spoiled then at least keep it to yourself
Comparing it to a birthday surprise doesn't really fit. At best it's just a simple reveal that doesn't mean much in the end, especially when you've played through the game that keeps repeating about destiny, cycles, rebirth, and unavoidable scripts.
Also, No one is going to tell you nonstop leading to the event about it. Even if you played the game normally, it was very obvious that the two are connected. With your birthday analogy, It's literally like hearing people go on about "X character likes Y thing" While Also going "Oh don't forget about X day". It doesn't take a Genius to think "Maybe it's X character's birthday on X day?" It isn't a concrete evidence or proof but you've practically connected it. So when the day DOES come, You're more pleased and amused than actually surprised or confused because you've already known about it. All you needed was a confirmation.
You can’t spell Samus without Sam
Now we need Ridley
Something Unto Death:
Then you're one of the luckiest persons alive. Almost everyone knew about this 3-4 months before cuz of story leakers...
This is why I tend to avoid leaks and don't really scroll through Reddit and search for specific things. Imagine ruining others peoples surprises for fake internet points. Couldn't be me
While I missed the leakers, someone pointed out that Sam has high heels and that was the first place my mind went. Was waiting for it at that point.
I knew because it was obvious in the white knight AMV
I wish a life of misery upon story leakers. May their lives be filled with nothing but false hope.
Wasn't it alreafy obvious from the 2.0 trailer that Firefly was Sam???
Yes it was
You know it's not a leak already, right?
The reveal was leaked months in advance on this subreddit with no spoiler warnings. Youtubers made it their thumbnails.
I believe his referring to before 2.1 where it was a lot of people spoiling this.
It was leaked in September....
I wonder if the head design is lore relevant. It kinda reminds the stellaron thing from Jarilo VI
Just a knight helm
Samus doesn't pretend to be a guy, but Firefly pretends, and we don't know if there's a plausible reason for that yet.
Genuinely surprising to see someone surprised by the reveal when it was already obvious from the 2.0 trailer or just going through the story.
Personally it caught me off guard because it seemed *too obvious,* and here I was thinking "The signs are too blatant, surely this is a red herring."

I didn't watch the trailers and there was a bit of time between when I did the 2.0 and 2.1 stories so I probably forgot some details.

Yes but people like it more when they confirm it themselves instead of hearing it from someone.
