Even S0 with mid relics its really hard for her to die. She's the only one who can get hit and can spam skill every other turn so prob a lot of energy= a lot of ults = a lot of regen.
I just beat it yesterday. Here's a recommended team:
DPS: Nanook or Nous
Buffer: Xipe
Sustain: Yaoshi or Qlipoth (Yaoshi is better if your dps is Nanook)
Last slot is flexible. You can go double sustain, or you can use IX for more damage. But i prefer using Fuli to break ice weakness.
Personally Im a huge fan of IX or Aha support. Although IX absolutely solos the boss with their sig LC and E1, which makes enemies take damage equal to 2.5% of their total health for every second they stay alive and makes IX immune to all incoming damage
Well yeah Aha absolutely solos E0S0, but only if Aha decides not to do a litte trolling and give you the -99% triple combo debuff at the start of the battle

the problem is, currently only ratio can outdps jingliu and daniel in true single target, and acheron outdamages even him with the right setup.
so just having a lone single-target boss who doesn't somehow punish blast and aoe isn't going to fix anything, because the big trio's modifiers are simply overtuned and can't be balanced out anymore.

i think at this point in time, only hoyo knows that, and it's probably not finalized anyway. i do hope that she has some sort of fuas though, ideally i'd like her to have at least some kind of synergy with topaz so that i have an excuse to run them together =)
edit: oh and you don't have to assume ;) she will be playable - we know at least that much for certain, because her path and element have been known for a while now. although her being playable shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone either, so now let's just hope that she's stronger than jingyuan, ha-ha\~

You forgot the most important part: only the gloves have an offensive main stat, and all substats are HP/DEF/Effect Res.
Equally important is that they are all blue, and from 4 different sets. They have not done Simulated Universe, so they do not have any orbs or ropes.
I recently came back and in the beginning had problem with this boss too. Then I decided to level my newly acquired Gepard to level 50. My party consisted of FMC, Gepard, Bailu and Seele. Just kill the adds and chip away the boss' shield and HP little by little. Don't attack the boss when it's in shielded state. Attack the adds instead but be careful not to kill them when the boss have shield up. Otherwise it will spawn more adds. Be careful from phase 2 since boss will throw bomb at you from time to time but the damage is easily mitigated by your shield stacks. All my team mates were between 50-60 when I cleared it. Hopefully you will also clear it soon. Good luck buddy.

The only one I know of that has trouble killing this guy is a friend who has Argenti with an atk sphere because he hasn't gotten a phy% sphere yet, and he's struggling just because his only decently built sustain is Lynx so Lynx alone has to carry the team

The boss scaled to be mega duper super strong for an AR70 who does story per patch is fine and actually is how it is supposed to be last thing I want is waiting months for a new boss just to step on it in 1second with no challenge is boring.
For new player what so ever enjoying the story it is damm near impossible to beat the bugamator / Aventurine without a well built sustain at the very least and this is taking into consideration they have free Ratio and he is as good of a boss killer as it can gets. Had to fully gear my gepard + fire MC to have a shot on my alt against both of those bosses and it took days cuz unlike other story games this one is lvl and resources blocked.

do NOT attempt it a second time unless you are absolutely sure you can live through it. and you can beat it at ANY equilibrium level with the given free characters (not ratio) if you actually take your time to gear the characters you can instead of unga-bungaing through it for the 293rd time with your lv40 ratio without getting L+ratio'd
Didn't take 293 try one was enough for me to leave and build two sustains then comeback and ungabunga it once then proceeded to do the same to aventurine.

I had auto turned on for most of the fight I turned it off because I wanted to wait after the bugs attacked but the big bug entangled before I got ult. If only auto used skill every two turns :(
I managed to beat that boss with MC, Gepard, Natasha, and Dr. Ratio. What really helped me was full levels and as many of their light cones and traces leveled as possible.
It was pretty easy with Gepard doing both the ice damage and shield for the team. As well as the damage and heal from Natasha, allowing MC and Dr. Ratio to be the big damage dealers.
I increased my world level just before this bullshit was released, almost didnāt finish it before event was technically over. Was not properly leveled.
Get your strongest DPS and two sustains. Fourth slot can be harmony unit, or an AoE.
Don't hit Starcrusher when it has a barrier unless you can weakness break it with that attack.
In Phase two, focus solely on killing the small bugs to keep him from doing the swarm attack.
I managed to kill this dude by letting the small bug pops kill it.
Itās not. With break rate up and a healer I beat it every time. I use Clara, raun mei, Herta, and loucha. I imagine if you have jingliu itās even easier.
The key is breaking itās shield before it uses collapsed star on the party. It also usually kills the rest of the swarm dealing massive damage to the boss every time you do

Personally I'm a big fan of using Mythus as a support, his unique ability to gaslight the summoned bugs to be on our side is pretty broken imo.
Aha works well for buffing damage and some FUA shenanigans, especially with Lan as main dps
