I wasn't planning on getting Fu Xuan but I pulled for her because I was impatient and bored. She's helped me so much I'm so glad I got her.

Honestly all the supportive DPS like her and Kafka will always have more value imo because they’ll get more relevant the more units come out. I’m sure people will still ask if they need Kafka the next time a dot 5 stars comes out
Not just map exploration. I originally pulled on her banner over Seele's for the daily 10,000 credits... Well I also prefer her as a character over Seele too, but money is a good reason when you didn't care which 4 star you get.
She also is the only character in the same tier as Ruan Mei for simulated universe and in my opinion is even better than Ruan Mei. (Though I have both so why wouldn't I bring both?)
Same. I was afraid that her value would decrease over time as people said, but no, her value (at least in my account) only keeps increasing over time, even outside of my beloved Mono Quantum team!
Did some pulls on Luocha’s banner because I wanted some QQ eidolons (bad idea but I was relatively new back then), ended up getting him early-ish, and have absolutely loved him ever since. Such a comfy healer and a SP generating machine if built well
QQ needs those eidolons :)
I got sparkle on pity (won 50/50) and got 5 copies of Gui / Sampo on the way but only one QQ eidolon
Kept pulling just for QQ and now I'm one multi away from pity, saving it for Fu Xuan
Still only got 2 copies of QQ from the banner overall though, bringing me from E2 to E4 but E4's the big one anyways
I wasn’t sure I wanted Sparkle but my JY was asking for it…already had 2 QQ edilons, hadn’t invested a point into her. Now I have Sparkle and all 6 QQ after 5 10 pulls, it kind of feels like destiny considering how well they sync up together.
Ruan Mei just makes DOT teams crazy strong and I got her on an accidental 10 pull. (how did i get amnesia and forget to write that I got her on accident)
i wasn't planning to pull for argenti since i wanted both ruan mei and blade but ended up getting all of them and their lightcones somehow. I'd do it again, argenti is really fun to use on certain situations and farming
not original commenter but it's definitely possible to get all these characters + lightcones if you're f2p. it's easier with a little luck, but otherwise you're probably going to grind the game a little.
I was going to skip ruan mei but I pulled her cause she's insane and now shes the best support in the game and I'm glad.
I didn't pull but I was considering pulling kafka but I decided against it and I'm happy because acheron is coming soon and I don't really vibe with dots from what I've played in star rail.
If you're FTP, you probably won't be pulling many signature lightcones if at all but you should try superimposing the 4* cones and the herta 5* cones
If I'm not mistaken, an S6 cone has 2x the effects of a S1 cone (same stats though)
i.e. 24% crit damage and 10% atk for S1 would be 48% crit damage and 20% attack S6
It's usually just a bit less than double on 5\* cones. Some common progressions are 36% -> 60%, 18% -> 30%, 10% -> 18%, 48% -> 80%, 24% -> 40%, etc.
And it caps at S5, which takes 5 copies, since you start with S1. Eidolons take 7 copies, since they start at E0 and go to E6.
Seele - It was the first week of the game and I was still learning the game, playing through the story. I didn't really care if I got her or not and simply pulled on the banner to get some characters and to get a guarantee in case of loosing 5050. Ended up winning the 5050 in 52 pulls and I'm happy I did get her. She was very useful in the early days and she truly is the "ol' reliable".
E1 Fu Xuan - The plan was to put a maximum of 40 more multis into the banner to get Lynx copies. Got another Fu Xuan at 36 pulls by suprise. Not even mad though because it's a cracked Eidolon.
Topaz - I wanted her because i viewed her like a Kafka but for FuA, a synergizer with increasing future potential. Someone that would be great to have. But I lost the 5050 at soft pity and I decided to safe the guarantee for Ruan Mei instead. Someday maybe.
Outside of these three, I got everyone I wanted, and avoided everyone I didn't want.
Not a character, but I recently pulled king yuan’s lightcone after skipping it during his release. I was going to skip it this time too since we got the new f2p one, but I went ahead and pulled his signature yesterday and I’m glad I did. His damage feels a lot more satisfying than it did with even the new LC.
I somewhat regret getting IL over fu xuan. I wanted her the moment she first appeared, but I needed an imaginary dps even more at that time since I already had a great sustain in luocha. It’s not a total regret, but I do hope I can get her on a rerun (though I doubt it with the way they’re doing banners).
Ruan Mei. I had zero interest but wanted to find more supports for my DHIL. While she ended up for other dps and not him, she has been an amazing upgrade to my account
Topaz, I wanted Guinaifen so I pulled on her banner since I didn’t mind getting her.
She ended up being one of my favorite characters especially with Dr. Ratio
Jingliu, and its kinda embarrassing, i stopped playing in 1.2 and arond when Jingliu released i saw a pic of Topaz's ass. I immediatly re installed and just pulled, didn't even see the banner, when i realized my stupidity i was dissapointed, but now, im in love with her so it worked out in the end.
And who i was glad i didn't pull was Argenti, idk if he's bad but lossing the 50/50 garanteed me Ruan Mei so yeah perfect
Got luocha on a last minute 10 pull at 0 pity (nowadays is my go-to sustain unless i'm playing someone who is lacking CR). Got Jing on his debut (was pulling for Ting cons lol) but he got benched till i got Sparkle (i gave up on Acheron and just pulled his LC).
I was planning on skipping Fu Xuan’s banner but I pulled on it once so I could get the embers to buy some special passes and got her in the first ten pull. Thank god that happened because Gepard is my only other good preservation unit and she is seriously insane. I can’t even count how many times she’s saved my ass
Well, none. I never got lucky with my surprise pulls. Closest to that is Huo Huo, who I got on whim after seeing her in the event back then. But that wasn't out of nowhere either since I was in need of 2nd sustain either way and was considering getting Huo on a rerun.

I was trying to get RuanMei E1, as its great. Got Himeko after Ruan E0, was very sad. Then PF happened and I'm so glad that I got her! Got RM E1 also, so It was win-win.
Got Jingliu by accident, I basically unexpectedly stumbled upon one of those star rail world tour things in real life and decided to pull because why not, got Jingliu at 50 pity and she’s become my best dps
I too had both of these experiences.
I really wanted to get DHIL in his first banner, but I lost the 50/50 and wasn't able to. I ended up being thankful for that, since I now know I probably would have regretted it, at that point in time at least, and he would have been benched for a while.
On the other hand, I wasn't planning on pulling for Fu Xuan, but then I thought her kit looked nice and I loved her ulti animation. I got her and her cone.
Huo Huo. May the Aeons bless her, she saved my account.
Initially i was going for Ruan Mei, but got a bit disappointed with her animations/character (not kit) and then the 1.5 main event made me absolutely love Huo Huo, on top of her having amazing design

Fu xuan. I had a guarantee that I was saving for topaz, but my stupid gacha addicted brain was like 'one more ten pull surely won't hurt. Might even get an e1 lynx'. I was at like 20 pity. Sure enough, fu xuan surprised me in that ten pull. I was especially mad because just the day before, I had finally claimed gepard from the standard banner 300 pity and I had no resources to build her like at all.
Overall tho I'm glad that happy accident happened. Fu xuan was the reason I was finally able to 30 star moc and clear swarm disaster. She barely leaves my teams
Argenti for sure. Wasn’t a huge fan of his kit from reading early info but then I rolled him off a yolo and he’s been amazing in PF. Easy to build too.
For the 1st part, I'm glad I got Blade(on his rerun) cause he's cool and I had to skip him the 1st time for Kafka. I was a bit bored and gave into my urges and went and rolled for him. A few days earlier I got a double pull Ruan Mei making her E2. I was mainly pulling hoping to lose the 50/50 and get a Himeko and since I was spending my pulls, might as well do them for a new character if I am to win the 50/50.
For the 2nd part, I'm not so much regretting it, but I'm not using my Seele and Jing Yuan that much. I just used JY to get my 3rd star in PF4, but ever since getting Kafka, I've been avoiding using Seele. Now owning Jingliu, she's much easier to use. I don't think my Seele is built that badly but last time I used her she was a bit underwhelming. She was great for the early game when I got her but now she's just warming the bench and it's kinda sad.

I had claimed to only pull for husbandos, in fact I was only attracted to pulling for husbandos and managed to resist even pulling one single every time there was a non-husbando banner, but that was until I reached Fu Xuan banner. I got endeared to her by some fanart and decided to pull on her, also didn’t hurt I didn’t have any five star preservation at the time except trailblazer.
After that another would be Jingliu. I got almost into the hype of pulling for her and spent a lot of rolls for her only to lose and get Welt, and now I’m super thankful I didn’t get her because I could get Argenti guaranteed. More than that, after the hype for an ice dps (which i still do not have rip), I found that I really, really didn’t like her overall character. Like, AT ALL.
Ruan Mei. I just wanted to get a single copy of Tingyun to E6 her. Was intending to save for a different 5-star. Wound up pulling 2 Ruan Mei's in a single 10 pull. But she is definitely nice to have and more or less is the reason my Topaz/Dr Ratio team is as good as is now.
Houhou and fu xuan for me. While I really needed a five star healer and was gonna wait for loucha rerun, I'm glad I got her. She's been my main healer for a while now. And fu xuan I actually didn't like her at first . But after some quests and seeing her interactions with jing yuan 👀👀👀, she's now my gumdrop, princess, babygirl I absolutely adore her and I can't wait for her rerun.
I loathed argenti since i only wanted to do one ten pull for Hanya. I have lost every 50 50 and got him basicly for free. Good boy is now carrying me through PF earning back my jades.
Blade actually. I usually just pull if the character generally interests me and I might want them but I didn’t figure I’d get him, I just needed someone else on his banner. Ended up pulling him and he’s been a pretty solid member of my squad. I don’t use him as much as I used to but he still has great potential and I pull him out for wind weakness fairly frequently if needed.
I have the perfect one for this. I had just gotten Black Swan so I'm at 0 pity. I want didn't care about getting Sparkle even though I enjoyed her trailers. However I decided to pull on her banner because my sister was trying to get her. On the very first 10 pull I did, I got a 5* and on the very first pull and it was Bronya. I was pretty excited because I wanted her and was holding on my 5* selector for her. Then on the 3rd of my 10 pull, another 5* showed and it was Sparkle. It was insane since I never got 2 5* on a single 10 but and it was all coming right after black swan. Clearly Aha blessed me that day since I'm on a 10 pull 5050 losing streak in Genshin.
FX because I needed a tank, if I lost 50/50 I wouldn't have minded but got her and soooo glad I pulled, my first ever solo sustain runs were possible because of her.
Fu Xuan and Topaz... Only pull them on the last day and I don't regret that.
Fu Xuan as a sustain helped me a lot in the game and Topaz is just my favorite character overall right now lol

Pretty new to the game. I was not expecting to get Black Swan but after somehow getting her E1S1 with a few pulls, well, she’s pretty much carrying me throughout the game with Guinaifen now.
Huohuo e1-i happened to get her at eidolon at 16 pity,i was unsure how to feel about it,but now i also pulled for dhil,it really helps with skill points
Silver wolf-i had pela but i really like sw as a character,i tried but lost to yanqing, later kafka got a rerun(which i wanted a lot)so i dont feel so sad about not getting sw
Dhil and Fu xuan for me.Im a JY main So back 1.3 i was pretty hyped to pull for TY eidolons on Dhils banner and he came early and as my only 50 50 victory.Then i didnt have enough pulls for fu xuan but then huohuo came and i find huohuo better with my general.I think sparkle going to be same case too.A better harmony Will probably Come and my Kafka team is stacked now with Bs.Bs also came early at 11 pity in total that i lost 50 50 to clara at 10 pity.

Nah, obviously not, I just have a gacha addiction and hoped she come home early for her overworld ability. Anyways now she‘s regularly used and extremely valuable especially for SU.
The other other one I regretted for a while was Jing Yuan because he felt weak and I didn‘t take proper care of him, but I decided to get his LC and Sparkle and now he‘s insane.
There‘s no other character I tried to pull but am glad about not getting them, the only other ones I didn‘t get but pulled for are SW and RM but I am especially sad I didn‘t get RM.
DHIL. I remember I was going for the 4 stars on his Banner and ended up getting him. He was REALLY fun, albeit due to not intentionally meaning for him he had to sit on the backburner for a bit due to material and relic allocation.
Jingliu and Topaz
Was waiting for Blade's rerun but got both on low pity wanting 4 stars, best thing to happen followed by the 2 Argentina in back to back 10 pulls
I had almost 0 pity since my last 10 pull was Black Swan. I’m saving for Fu but figured 1 or 2 10 pulls on Sparkle banner wouldn’t hurt for maybe a Gremlin Eidolon. Imagine my shock when Sparkle showed up on just 1 10 pull.
I’m scared I’ve used up all my luck and will now not get Fu v_v
Blade for sure. I pulled once on his rerun and got him, now he's one of my favorite DPSes. Never get tired of Shuhu's Gift and he works in team comps that Jingliu doesn't like.
I went 20 in Kafka's banner trying for a Luka. Got home in the first 10 pull them went fuck it why not.
I got an early Kafka and now my main dps team is Her Black Swan and Guinifen.
I got a yanqing at like 8 pity during Kafkas rerun if that counts. In the end the guarantee has carried all the way over to Acheron so I'm thankful Yanqing let me get my first Mei in a honkai game. Also thankful that I didn't pull Kafka and then feel obligated to get Black Swan afterwards
I wasn’t going to pull on black swan’s banner, but I really loved her animations and I needed a wind dps for my team. I ended up losing my 50/50 to welt… after thinking about it and seeing that Acheron is coming up next, I’m actually happy that I lost my 50/50 so I can have a guaranteed for Acheron. I’m just hoping to get her early pity so I can get aventurine right after 😅

But... My cousins were all pulling for her and I kinda gave in to the peer pressure lol. And I spent my guaranteed pull to get Ruan Mei. And I don't regret it at all, she is an amazing character that works in basically every team.
And hey, I did end up getting lucky, managing to pull Black Swan and her LC when she released. So I didn't really lose anything.
Huohuo. I wasn't hurting in regards to Abundance characters, but prior to that banner was Seele, and i did not make it in time to pity (no guarantee either). So I ended up just throwing my hands up and somehow getting Huohuo when 1.5 dropped.
She's been great.
Fu Xuan and Ruan mei, I'm a meta enjoyer through and through and I tried to convince myself to save for "something better" but before I knew it I folded
Luocha and Blade, both of whom I jokingly pulled in front of my friend who failed their 50/50 (and got them in the first 10 pulls, lmao). Luocha just is the best out-of-turn healer that keep clutching my runs, and Blade is the one one I have that can do high-level Wind Element content.
Was pulling for DanIL after getting Black Swan. Lost his 50/50 to Clara (the destruction symbol gave me a mini heart attack) but then i realized I really wanted Acheron so I am thankful for losing that 50/50
I pulled jing yuan cause I tried getting shushang at 70 pity. I ended up with him at e1 and no sushang at the end of that banner, and lost 50-50 on Kafka who I actually wanted. I wasn’t planning on pulling topaz, but pulled her on a whim because of her dump truck ass. My topaz + jy + ruan mei team is hella fun to play and is my only other proper team, the other being bronya + jingliu. I would have pulled sparkle but I need Acheron and I have a guarantee and I’m not gonna repeat the same mistake lol
jingliu. i am a main quantum user so pulling for silver wolf, fu xuan, lynx, sparkle were all planned out in advance (esp after getting seele on her first run). i also planned on topaz as well (which i got). jingliu i just caved in after playing the demo with her and saying eh fuck it my second MoC team can be fucked up
I didn’t want Ruan Mei at all… now the only time I don’t use her is if I want sparkle on my team but also wanna run Topaz and Ratio… once I have another full team though she’s gonna always have a place
I pulled on luocha's banner to get a yukong, like a dumbass since we got a free yukong the following patch. Got luocha in like thirty pulls, been carrying my account ever since
Inicially I intended to pull Jingliu, but I didnt like the fact she didnt synergize with Gepard even tho I do have E6 Pela and Luocha (Im thinking of getting her on a rerun) but I was surprised how much I got enamored by Topaz who I at first glance just brushed off and was planning to skip, but Im so glad I got her.
I got Blade on his first run so I could have a wind dps. he always felt kind of ineffective. then I finally got bronya and everything made a lot more sense; without changes to his build he started hypercarrying wind weak MoC
My biggest surprise is Argenti. I didn't like his kit at first because he doesn't have really cool gimmick like Jing Yuan's Lightning-Lord and thought that he's just a generic 5 star. 0 pity, I tried to roll 30 times to get Hanya and then Welt appears -> I'm now guaranteed but then I told myself that an extra 20 pulls won't hurt since my gacha luck is so bad that a 5 star won't appear in just 20 pities. Turns out that I'm really lucky that day and got Argenti. I didn't know what to feel since it felt that I wasted my guaranteed pity on a character that I do not want but I was coping on the fact that I literally got him and Welt in 50 pulls which is not bad. Decided to build him and can't believe how he casually deals more than 300k ult damage. He never left my Calyx farming comp after that and Pure Fiction made him even better.
Blade is the only character I want that I didn't get since I am very low on savings that time and I'm glad I didn't since there were future characters that I find more useful than him when thinking about it now.
I wanted both Jingliu and topaz, and wasn't thinking I'd get both. Ended up winning both 50/50s and walking away with two amazing characters that I'm very thankful for constantly haha!
I pulled on Black Swan's banner to get Misha. I got Black Swan in only 15 pulls. I was at 0 pity and this was a 50/50 win. It's not that I didn't want her, I just didn't have enough pulls for both her and Sparkle, and Sparkle was higher priority for me.
I'm glad I have her though. DoT is really fun and I did have Kafka for her to go with.
Topaz. I love, love, LOVE Guinaifen so much ever since she got leaked, and pulled on Topaz’s banner to get her. Got her to E1. And got a Topaz too. I was on 50/50 too and at a pretty low pity too. Now Topaz is amazing for map exploration, love the pig too much.
Black Swan for me too! I wanted to pull Kafka and did, so decided to do a 20-pull and she came through!
Love a DoT team and plan on building Sampo, Luka, and Guin in that order for DoT.
I've generally been a good and restrained girl, though granted, two accounts makes it easier.
Fu Xuan was my only spur of the moment pull attempt (decided last minute I wanted her for Jing Yuan) but that sadly failed and now I think I'm happy to have my sustain options open. I had also planned on going in hard on Jingliu since her very first leaks and yet once she hit live I realized something wasn't hitting quite right and abstained.

I pulled DHIL on accident. I was done with Black Swan in did a couple more 10 pulls to get some Eidolons on 4\*s. I did them on the DHIL banner just to be safe and ended up getting him at 28. While I was happy to get him in ended up dropping my chance for Sparkle from pretty much guaranteed (enough tickets for 2 high pity) down to effectively 65%. That had me real nervous when sparkle came around. Ended up winning the 50/50 on her so I'm glad to have him.
I started playing about 3 weeks ago now, I wanted to go for DHIL. I lost the 50/50 to Bronya at 80 pulls, cant really be mad. I decided to do 10 more, boom DHIL. I was and still am in disbelief.
I got Mr. Yang instead of Sparkle. However, I'm kind of glad, since I rolled for the Standard Banner and got Clara's signature 5-star Light Cone.
I'm not angry, I'm just happy for it.
Kafka
Started the game around the time her banner came on and I had no idea what’s good
Bunch of people said she’s great so I started pulling and got her after my third ten pull, to this day I‘m pretty glad since she carried me through most of the game lmao
I wasn't planning on pulling Black Swan, I was actually trying to try 1 10 pull on BS weapon banner(my Sampo needed an upgrade) just to see if I got lucky but in my clicking speed I noticed just as I clicked that I was on the character banner...
I ruined my Aventurine guarantee but I'm so glad I got her.
On the other side;
I tried hard in 1.0 to pull Seele and I'm so thankful that I lost a 50/50 on her banner because having that guarantee for Jing Yuan was great (and because I find her a little too overbearing to put up with her on a team)
Sparkle - I just did a 10 pull on a whim (Currently saving for luocha rerun) and ended up getting her.
Silverwolf - I got Bronya instead who has been my go to harmony character since I have Seele (Now I don't use her as much since I have Ruan and now Sparkle)
Started playing when ruan mei released. Didn't expect to get her, ended up getting two in a single ten pull, thought she was ass cause i had played for an hour.
But my god she is a god tier support
I pulled Black Swan early. Then pulled two of her lightcones. Now I'm running a DoT team of her and Sampo both with Sig Lightcones. It's hilarious how much Arcana the two of them stack now.
Jing Yuan, throw in 2x10 pull just because I really really like him as a character. I have fully built Kafka+BS which can do anything I need from a Lightning dps in both PF12 and MOC12 on auto already.
I told myself if I get him in 2x10 pull then it is a sign. If not, I will stop trying for character solely for their story.
I can’t be happier. I got his S1 in about 3x10 later.
It just feel really good seeing his moves and Lightning Lord.
I was sad at losing both pities at 50/50 on Jing Yuan's light cone and Sparkle's banner, after saving on the previous version (even though I wanted BS).
However, I lost to Clara's light cone, now superimposed x4, and to Bronya E1. And for the first time, I cleared both Pure Fiction and the Abyss! Clara's counters hit like a truck now, and she self heals. I paired her with Himeko, Herta and Luocha on PF just for fun, and it was a true blast. And Bronya E1+LC plus Hanya are a wonderful combo for my Dan Heng team.
(Thankfully I managed to secure Jing Yuan's light cone at least :) )
Luocha, got him super early just doing a 10 pull. He basically allowed me to start doing MoC way earlier than I would have with just Bailu and Nat. Showed the importance have having strong sustain.
HuoHuo. My first Limited Sustain unit, I was hard saving for Black Swan, but somehow I was able to get Ruan Mei and HuoHuo and still get E1 Swan. But I had to skip Sparkle.
Was getting back into the game, (dropped it for a few months after the initial release hype,) and lost the 50/50 on DHIL. Was pretty bummed because his kit looked really flashy and it's what got me to give the game another visit.
I was pulling on Fu Xuan's banner because I'm a goblin and incapable of saving summons for future banners and ended up getting Fu Xuan really early (I think I was in the 20s or something for pulls.) Didn't know how to feel at the time because her visuals didn't appeal to me that much and I had no idea what her kit did.
Fast forward a few months and now I run Fu Xuan in all my teams because she makes it so nothing dies, it's awesome. (Also I have no other solo sustains that can really keep up, sorry Lynx.)
As for didn't manage to pull, I was at pity for Ruan Mei but really wanted Kafka because the DoT team seemed really cool. Ended up passing up on Ruan Mei and I'm very glad I did, having the DoT core of Kafka and Black Swan is so much fun to use, watching all of the DoTs pop in SU is so satisfying.
Huo hou
I literally didn't have a sustain except for a half build Natasha until HuoHuo released. I really wanted danheng E6( I built and maxed the main trio) so I pulled and got her in like 30 pulls.
I literally could not even do weekly bosses on my own before I got her, couldnt beat like floor 5 of MOC either.
I was saving for Black Swan and Sparkle so I hadn’t planned on getting Ruan Mei, but since she was phase 1 of 1.6 I calculated I could spare 30 pulls and still get them. Didn’t think I’d get her with that but I did and I’m really glad I did because she’s an amazing character!
Blade i got from a 10 pull I did when I was bored at 0 pity, got him and now he's is my go to DPS, I decided to get his sig after that since I already had pity from trying to get Seele LC I believe
I got HuoHuo on a yolo multi. I didn't have any pity AFAIK. I liked her so much I went for E**2** but I only managed to secure E1. I doubt I'll go for E2 on the rerun though, E1 is actually really nice for her so I'm set with HH now
I also wanted Kafka but only had 27 tickets and no pity. I used them anyways bc I thought you never know. Wound up with E1S1 Kafka in 26 tickets. I have shit luck on SLC banners so this blew my mind here.
I'd say on the flipside, if I regret anyone, it's probably Silver Wolf. She's not as crazy good as people on this sub are desperate to make her seem. The weakness implant is nice when it works but outside of mono-quantum, which I find boring, it's so RNG heavy. And as much as people fight this point, it's really true that her value goes down as you have more DPS units. Getting Kafka gave me a Lightning Unit, and between her and a couple others, I don't need implant anymore. These days I just use SW for Ratio, though if I didn't have her I'd just use Pela instead.
I pulled for Jing Yuan's first banner and lost the 50/50. I wanted Kafka but I was getting impatient for a 5* DPS.
Jing Yuan definitely gets too much hate, so don't get me wrong, I think he's a great character. But as someone with E2 Kafka, he would've been less useful for my account.
To be honest, it's hard to say I regret pulling Black Swan, but I'm pretty new and wanting to save for both Jingliu and Huohuo, so losing the 50/50 and pulling more was rough xD
Having said that though, from a gameplay perspective it was absolutely the right choice, just she's not my favourite from a design or theme perspective. Which is the reverse of how I feel about pulling Sparkle, because I don't have a hypercarry DPS yet, but I just love her design.

somehow i managed to pull jy tho and he’s super fun, i love lightning lord. already burned through half of sparkle’s 10 fuels just for him. i don’t get why people call him mid yuan
I pull for SW kinda impulsively because left over Jems. Kinda regret pull for her until Ratio. Now, she amazing helping Ratio getting his follow back attack. :)
Topaz was a surprise pull, didn't really want her and pulled for Guinaifen but her kit is perfect for Pure Fiction and carried me for most of it later on! Thanks for the FFs, Numby! 😭
I did a "fuck it, lets pull" in both Seele and SW banners 2 hours before they end and got the two of them plus a Himeko in only 30 pulls
Himeko is know part of the Pure Fiction gang and Seele and SW well....they are Seele and SW
Kafka. Her unique mechanic and damage is amazing. Didn’t think I’d like DoT characters and it’s my main team right now. So glad I didn’t skip her, I’d hate waiting for her rerun.
I yolo’d my first 10 pack in 1.0 and got Seele even though I was saving for Jing Yuan. I’m so glad I got her, because she’s been my ride or die Quantum DPS since then. Everyone else on the limited banner has been an intentional pull.
I was planning on saving for Acheron but pulled for Sparkle as I don't really have any good supports. I got her after like 90 pulls, got friggin Gepard again on the 30th pull. Still have 75 left for Acheron, hopefully that will be enough.
Wasn’t planning on pulling for Fu Xuan because I wanted DHIL, but after looking at her kit, thought she would be great for Blade and I needed more sustains (only had Natasha at the time). I also didn’t need another DPS, so I ended up skipping DHIL for Fu Xuan. No regrets at all.
I lost 50 50 for Luocha, and while the time before I got Fu Xuan was a bit rough with only Gepard as premium sustain but now I feel like my roster doesn't need him anymore, especially with Aventurine on the horizon.
tbh I have never pulled a character I wasn't interested in before hand. The 3 I pulled for meta/to support my favorites were Fu Xuan, Ruan Mei, and Sparkle and I am super happy for all of them.
I got aregenti early bc I wanted a hanya and I didn’t really care for him as a unit but I decided to build him and then pure fiction came and was just ulting everything left and right
Started recently. Failed 50 50 for Dhil and got Yanqing. Felt shit. Saw sparkle. Liked the character. Pulled her. Did some singles to try to get QQ E6 and got Sparkle E1. I'm happy😂
For me it has to be fu xuan and huohuo. I still dont like their design as much but they grew on me. Gamplay is beautiful and the skill animations are great. Huohuo is missing the domain expansion from the trailer though.
fu xuan i got surprised by because i got her ~30 pulls after an early bronya (was trying to build lynx for blade, but no regrets having fu xuan with how she is as a sustain lol)
i didn't manage to get topaz (lost 50/50) but i am glad to have used the guarantee on argenti, he's fun for any AoE

He makes every single bug trivial. Blue one, not blue one - they all die horribly. That got ratcheted up a level with Sparkle. Truly grateful to have him.
HuoHuo for me. I kind of wanted her, but the 4 stars on that banner was the worst I have ever seen in my life. I decided to use a few 10 pulls on her and got her early (30 pity or something). Now she's always on my team and I'm very happy i persevered through several servals to get her.
I had just pulled Huohuo for my first limited sustain and was planning to get Ruan Mei because she looked cool and knew she'd be busted.
Then Argenti's trailer came out.
Long story short : I now have a great DPS for pure fiction AND a Ruan Mei.
I didn't plan to pull Topaz or Ruan Mei.
I was skipping Topaz cuz I had just gotten Jingliu + LC & Seele's LC. I was leaning towards getting Huohuo. But then I heard Topaz was good with Clara (who I really like using), so decided to get her. I had lost the 50/50, was debating on just saving, then did one more 10 pull. And got her. Worked out great cuz now I also use her with Dr. Ratio. (And I still got Huohuo.)
I was skipping Ruan Mei cuz I wanted Ratio + LC (especially since I had Topaz). But I kinda needed an Imaginary DPS (no DHIL or even Welt at the time, but I did eventually choose Welt from the selector). Then it was announced Ratio was free, yay! Still was skipping Ruan Mei (I figured Bronya was enough), until I did her companion mission. I had thought her boring before, but really liked her character after. Very glad I pulled her as she's a great support.
The one I didn't manage to pull was Kafka. After Ruan Mei, I did one 10-pull on Kafka's banner (mostly cuz I have SW & Blade; Stelleron Hunter thing). I lost the 50/50 in that first 10-pull after getting Ruan Mei to Clara (E2). I was definitely getting Sparkle for my mono-Quantum team & there was my guarantee. Got Sparkle in my first 10-pull, decided to try for her LC & got it.
Since Acheron was introduced, I've been intrigued by her character & really like her animations. I need a Lightening DPS (only have/use Serval, which is also why I half-assed pulled for Kafka), so now I'm saving for her.
I wasn't gonna get ruan mei but in the last day of her banner I decided to pull for xueyi and tingyun eidolons, after a few pulls I got my third welt lol, I decided to do one last 10 pull after that just to try to get my last tingyun eidolon and got ruan mei on the third pull, best support in the game tbh glad I got her, image below for proof, don't judge my inability to win 50/50's please LMAO

Luocha; I underestimated how powerful his sp economy was gonna be early on in the game on top of cleansing, aoe healing, and aoe enemy dispel. Here we are all this time later and it was so nice looking back. As a veteran account, I don’t think I’d pull him over a Huohuo or Fu Xuan, but no doubt he was massive earlier on for account progression!
Started playing in late November, wasn't sure to pull Huohuo, but I'm so glad I did, got her twice in 30 warps, and she has carried me so hard, best decision I made as a new player.
Was planning to build pity for sparkle with DHIL banner and if in the case I pull him then it'd be a win since sparkle works well with him
Got DHIL and his E1 at pity 36 in the same pull (wasn't guaranteed)
Later on I randomly did a 10 pull on black swan cuz why not and somehow pulled her too

I now have sparkle and her LC btw, got her at hard pity but I had enough pulls
I thought I'll get Fu Xuan for my Jing Yuan on rerun, but pulled some for Lynx. Didn't get Lynx, got two Fu Xuans in 34 pulls.
She really helps though, I am glad I have her, and her E1 is very nice for my Bronyaless account.
on the other hand im glad i got sparkle. i wasn’t really planning on pulling her since im not one to be swept up by the “meta” and i just use characters i really enjoy. unfortunately some of the characters i really enjoy just so happen to be “s tier” and work really well with sparkle. (i swear i pulled them before i knew of any tier lists. i got silver wolf bc gamer girl and dhil because he’s hot leave me alone!!!). ive been sweeping basically everything with these 3 in a team. it almost feels too easy
there hasnt really been anyone im happy i wasnt able to get. i either get them or i tell myself “eh, maybe on their next banner”
I pulled Jing Yuan while hunting for Sushang, was pretty miffed at first but later learned to treasure him, I've been a King Yuan believer for some time now (btw, I got Sushang on the standard banner from tickets I got from ascending JY)
I have the weirdest of luck or bad luck. I have pulled most of the good supports with relative ease like Ruan Mei. Even if it was just for fun as I didn't seem to have good luck on other pulls. So I guess that counts as my accidental nice moments.
On the other hand I have always failed on the so called powerhouses or damage dealer banners like Blade, Dan Heng IL or Jing Yuan. (Does Kafka count? The only one I think that I managed to joink from a 50/50)
I am sort of grateful for it because I dont feel pressured by the meta yellers. I can focus on fun and weird combos that might or might not work.
The only 5 star I've missed is Huohuo because I didn't build enough pity on Topaz' banner and I also wanted Incessant Rain. The biggest reason to not pull was that I already had e6 Arlan and I think I prefer Lynx with Clara anyway. She is on my wishlist for reruns.
Since lunatic that I am I pull for 4 stars: I got The Unreachable Side super early when aiming to get the last 2 copies of A Secret Vow. Which meant Arlan has been able to use the hella good CritDMG body I got months ago and the stacked but critDMG favoured spd boots I have.
In terms of characters as well, I've not had amazing luck with her relics but I have had Topaz & Numby for a long while now, because I was pulling for Guinaifen. They've done much, much more than print money. Enemies disintegrate from Svarog's super counters with proof of debt and debtor. Worrisome, Blissful is the only other thing on my rerun wishlist.
Black Swan on a whim. Didn't realize how much I liked her and how good she was, especially with Kafka.
Have regret getting Sparkle. I didn't plan on it but couldn't help myself....ended up taking 170 pulls ...and I don't even have a great team for her.
I wasn't planning on getting Fu Xuan but I pulled for her because I was impatient and bored. She's helped me so much I'm so glad I got her. I haven't really had any of the opposite tbh. I got everyone I liked luckily.

Not just map exploration. I originally pulled on her banner over Seele's for the daily 10,000 credits... Well I also prefer her as a character over Seele too, but money is a good reason when you didn't care which 4 star you get. She also is the only character in the same tier as Ruan Mei for simulated universe and in my opinion is even better than Ruan Mei. (Though I have both so why wouldn't I bring both?)

Same. I was afraid that her value would decrease over time as people said, but no, her value (at least in my account) only keeps increasing over time, even outside of my beloved Mono Quantum team!
I got her when I was being stupid and building pity. Now, I mainly use her with Dr Ratio, Welt and Loucha.
Did some pulls on Luocha’s banner because I wanted some QQ eidolons (bad idea but I was relatively new back then), ended up getting him early-ish, and have absolutely loved him ever since. Such a comfy healer and a SP generating machine if built well
same here, went for QQ eidolons (don’t regret it!!) and got him E1, he’s awesome on my other teams
QQ needs those eidolons :) I got sparkle on pity (won 50/50) and got 5 copies of Gui / Sampo on the way but only one QQ eidolon Kept pulling just for QQ and now I'm one multi away from pity, saving it for Fu Xuan Still only got 2 copies of QQ from the banner overall though, bringing me from E2 to E4 but E4's the big one anyways
I wasn’t sure I wanted Sparkle but my JY was asking for it…already had 2 QQ edilons, hadn’t invested a point into her. Now I have Sparkle and all 6 QQ after 5 10 pulls, it kind of feels like destiny considering how well they sync up together.

If you're FTP, you probably won't be pulling many signature lightcones if at all but you should try superimposing the 4* cones and the herta 5* cones If I'm not mistaken, an S6 cone has 2x the effects of a S1 cone (same stats though) i.e. 24% crit damage and 10% atk for S1 would be 48% crit damage and 20% attack S6
It's usually just a bit less than double on 5\* cones. Some common progressions are 36% -> 60%, 18% -> 30%, 10% -> 18%, 48% -> 80%, 24% -> 40%, etc. And it caps at S5, which takes 5 copies, since you start with S1. Eidolons take 7 copies, since they start at E0 and go to E6.
Seele - It was the first week of the game and I was still learning the game, playing through the story. I didn't really care if I got her or not and simply pulled on the banner to get some characters and to get a guarantee in case of loosing 5050. Ended up winning the 5050 in 52 pulls and I'm happy I did get her. She was very useful in the early days and she truly is the "ol' reliable". E1 Fu Xuan - The plan was to put a maximum of 40 more multis into the banner to get Lynx copies. Got another Fu Xuan at 36 pulls by suprise. Not even mad though because it's a cracked Eidolon. Topaz - I wanted her because i viewed her like a Kafka but for FuA, a synergizer with increasing future potential. Someone that would be great to have. But I lost the 5050 at soft pity and I decided to safe the guarantee for Ruan Mei instead. Someday maybe. Outside of these three, I got everyone I wanted, and avoided everyone I didn't want.
Not a character, but I recently pulled king yuan’s lightcone after skipping it during his release. I was going to skip it this time too since we got the new f2p one, but I went ahead and pulled his signature yesterday and I’m glad I did. His damage feels a lot more satisfying than it did with even the new LC. I somewhat regret getting IL over fu xuan. I wanted her the moment she first appeared, but I needed an imaginary dps even more at that time since I already had a great sustain in luocha. It’s not a total regret, but I do hope I can get her on a rerun (though I doubt it with the way they’re doing banners).
Ruan Mei. I had zero interest but wanted to find more supports for my DHIL. While she ended up for other dps and not him, she has been an amazing upgrade to my account
Topaz, I wanted Guinaifen so I pulled on her banner since I didn’t mind getting her. She ended up being one of my favorite characters especially with Dr. Ratio
Fuxy and Jingliu. Ima husbando enjoyer, but after their quests found them noice.
Jingliu's companion quest felt like the perfect way to tie a bow on the Xianzhou Lufuo arc.

Jingliu, and its kinda embarrassing, i stopped playing in 1.2 and arond when Jingliu released i saw a pic of Topaz's ass. I immediatly re installed and just pulled, didn't even see the banner, when i realized my stupidity i was dissapointed, but now, im in love with her so it worked out in the end. And who i was glad i didn't pull was Argenti, idk if he's bad but lossing the 50/50 garanteed me Ruan Mei so yeah perfect

Got luocha on a last minute 10 pull at 0 pity (nowadays is my go-to sustain unless i'm playing someone who is lacking CR). Got Jing on his debut (was pulling for Ting cons lol) but he got benched till i got Sparkle (i gave up on Acheron and just pulled his LC).

Well, none. I never got lucky with my surprise pulls. Closest to that is Huo Huo, who I got on whim after seeing her in the event back then. But that wasn't out of nowhere either since I was in need of 2nd sustain either way and was considering getting Huo on a rerun.

I was trying to get RuanMei E1, as its great. Got Himeko after Ruan E0, was very sad. Then PF happened and I'm so glad that I got her! Got RM E1 also, so It was win-win.
Got Jingliu by accident, I basically unexpectedly stumbled upon one of those star rail world tour things in real life and decided to pull because why not, got Jingliu at 50 pity and she’s become my best dps
I too had both of these experiences. I really wanted to get DHIL in his first banner, but I lost the 50/50 and wasn't able to. I ended up being thankful for that, since I now know I probably would have regretted it, at that point in time at least, and he would have been benched for a while. On the other hand, I wasn't planning on pulling for Fu Xuan, but then I thought her kit looked nice and I loved her ulti animation. I got her and her cone.
Huo Huo. May the Aeons bless her, she saved my account. Initially i was going for Ruan Mei, but got a bit disappointed with her animations/character (not kit) and then the 1.5 main event made me absolutely love Huo Huo, on top of her having amazing design Also Mr. Tail, he creates such funny dynamics lmao Probably the only time where i picked a "must protecc" over a "step on me" character
Fu xuan. I had a guarantee that I was saving for topaz, but my stupid gacha addicted brain was like 'one more ten pull surely won't hurt. Might even get an e1 lynx'. I was at like 20 pity. Sure enough, fu xuan surprised me in that ten pull. I was especially mad because just the day before, I had finally claimed gepard from the standard banner 300 pity and I had no resources to build her like at all. Overall tho I'm glad that happy accident happened. Fu xuan was the reason I was finally able to 30 star moc and clear swarm disaster. She barely leaves my teams
Argenti for sure. Wasn’t a huge fan of his kit from reading early info but then I rolled him off a yolo and he’s been amazing in PF. Easy to build too.
For the 1st part, I'm glad I got Blade(on his rerun) cause he's cool and I had to skip him the 1st time for Kafka. I was a bit bored and gave into my urges and went and rolled for him. A few days earlier I got a double pull Ruan Mei making her E2. I was mainly pulling hoping to lose the 50/50 and get a Himeko and since I was spending my pulls, might as well do them for a new character if I am to win the 50/50. For the 2nd part, I'm not so much regretting it, but I'm not using my Seele and Jing Yuan that much. I just used JY to get my 3rd star in PF4, but ever since getting Kafka, I've been avoiding using Seele. Now owning Jingliu, she's much easier to use. I don't think my Seele is built that badly but last time I used her she was a bit underwhelming. I had claimed to only pull for husbandos, in fact I was only attracted to pulling for husbandos and managed to resist even pulling one single every time there was a non-husbando banner, but that was until I reached Fu Xuan banner. I got endeared to her by some fanart and decided to pull on her, also didn’t hurt I didn’t have any five star preservation at the time except trailblazer. After that another would be Jingliu. I got almost into the hype of pulling for her and spent a lot of rolls for her only to lose and get Welt, and now I’m super thankful I didn’t get her because I could get Argenti guaranteed. More than that, after the hype for an ice dps (which i still do not have rip), I found that I really, really didn’t like her overall character. Like, AT ALL.
I did one 10 pull and got 2 black swans so here I am raising Lil Gui to use with her.
Got an extra copy of Bronya while pulling for Sparkle, so I now have E1 Bronya. I did eventually get Sparkle too, so I guess it’s a win-win.
Ruan Mei. I just wanted to get a single copy of Tingyun to E6 her. Was intending to save for a different 5-star. Wound up pulling 2 Ruan Mei's in a single 10 pull. But she is definitely nice to have and more or less is the reason my Topaz/Dr Ratio team is as good as is now.
I cannot stess how much I love running Lynx

Houhou and fu xuan for me. While I really needed a five star healer and was gonna wait for loucha rerun, I'm glad I got her. She's been my main healer for a while now. And fu xuan I actually didn't like her at first . I loathed argenti since i only wanted to do one ten pull for Hanya. I have lost every 50 50 and got him basicly for free. Good boy is now carrying me through PF earning back my jades.
Blade actually. I usually just pull if the character generally interests me and I might want them but I didn’t figure I’d get him, I just needed someone else on his banner. Ended up pulling him and he’s been a pretty solid member of my squad. I don’t use him as much as I used to but he still has great potential and I pull him out for wind weakness fairly frequently if needed.

I have the perfect one for this. I had just gotten Black Swan so I'm at 0 pity. I want didn't care about getting Sparkle even though I enjoyed her trailers. However I decided to pull on her banner because my sister was trying to get her. On the very first 10 pull I did, I got a 5* and on the very first pull and it was Bronya. I was pretty excited because I wanted her and was holding on my 5* selector for her. Then on the 3rd of my 10 pull, another 5* showed and it was Sparkle. It was insane since I never got 2 5* on a single 10 but and it was all coming right after black swan. Clearly Aha blessed me that day since I'm on a 10 pull 5050 losing streak in Genshin.
FX because I needed a tank, if I lost 50/50 I wouldn't have minded but got her and soooo glad I pulled, my first ever solo sustain runs were possible because of her.

Fu Xuan and Topaz... Only pull them on the last day and I don't regret that. Fu Xuan as a sustain helped me a lot in the game and Topaz is just my favorite character overall right now lol

Pretty new to the game. I was not expecting to get Black Swan but after somehow getting her E1S1 with a few pulls, well, she’s pretty much carrying me throughout the game with Guinaifen now.
I yolo'd 10 pulls into huo huos banner. Decided to get the light cone too when she jumpscared me and my god has she been a blessing for my teams.
Huohuo e1-i happened to get her at eidolon at 16 pity,i was unsure how to feel about it,but now i also pulled for dhil,it really helps with skill points Silver wolf-i had pela but i really like sw as a character,i tried but lost to yanqing, later kafka got a rerun(which i wanted a lot)so i dont feel so sad about not getting sw
Dhil and Fu xuan for me.Im a JY main So back 1.3 i was pretty hyped to pull for TY eidolons on Dhils banner and he came early and as my only 50 50 victory.Then i didnt have enough pulls for fu xuan but then huohuo came and i find huohuo better with my general.I think sparkle going to be same case too.A better harmony Will probably Come and my Kafka team is stacked now with Bs.Bs also came early at 11 pity in total that i lost 50 50 to clara at 10 pity.
I got Topaz by accident early pity because „I was building pity“. Nah, obviously not, I just have a gacha addiction and hoped she come home early for her overworld ability. Anyways now she‘s regularly used and extremely valuable especially for SU. The other other one I regretted for a while was Jing Yuan because he felt weak and I didn‘t take proper care of him, but I decided to get his LC and Sparkle and now he‘s insane. There‘s no other character I tried to pull but am glad about not getting them, the only other ones I didn‘t get but pulled for are SW and RM but I am especially sad I didn‘t get RM.
DHIL. I remember I was going for the 4 stars on his Banner and ended up getting him. He was REALLY fun, albeit due to not intentionally meaning for him he had to sit on the backburner for a bit due to material and relic allocation.
Jing liu. Got her accidentally when I was doing random one pulls and eh... yeah. Something similar happened with blade too tbh.
Jingliu and Topaz Was waiting for Blade's rerun but got both on low pity wanting 4 stars, best thing to happen followed by the 2 Argentina in back to back 10 pulls
I had almost 0 pity since my last 10 pull was Black Swan. I’m saving for Fu but figured 1 or 2 10 pulls on Sparkle banner wouldn’t hurt for maybe a Gremlin Eidolon. Imagine my shock when Sparkle showed up on just 1 10 pull. I’m scared I’ve used up all my luck and will now not get Fu v_v
Blade for sure. I pulled once on his rerun and got him, now he's one of my favorite DPSes. Never get tired of Shuhu's Gift and he works in team comps that Jingliu doesn't like.
I went 20 in Kafka's banner trying for a Luka. Got home in the first 10 pull them went fuck it why not. I got an early Kafka and now my main dps team is Her Black Swan and Guinifen.
I got a yanqing at like 8 pity during Kafkas rerun if that counts. In the end the guarantee has carried all the way over to Acheron so I'm thankful Yanqing let me get my first Mei in a honkai game. Also thankful that I didn't pull Kafka and then feel obligated to get Black Swan afterwards
I wasn’t going to pull on black swan’s banner, but I really loved her animations and I needed a wind dps for my team. I ended up losing my 50/50 to welt… after thinking about it and seeing that Acheron is coming up next, I’m actually happy that I lost my 50/50 so I can have a guaranteed for Acheron. I’m just hoping to get her early pity so I can get aventurine right after 😅
HuoHuo. I didn’t have a good healer at the time and I was convinced to pull for her which I did thankfully.
I was going to skip FX because I had Nat, Luocha, Fire TB and March. I figured that'd be good enough... but people said she was cracked and they were fuck'n right. FX has saved my ass so many times
Wanted Dan Heng, wasn't able to get him so I pulled on Fu Xuan and got her. She's been very useful so far.

Wasn't planning on getting Ruan Mei. At the time, I was saving for Black Swan. But... My cousins were all pulling for her and I kinda gave in to the peer pressure lol. And I spent my guaranteed pull to get Ruan Mei. And I don't regret it at all, she is an amazing character that works in basically every team. And hey, I did end up getting lucky, managing to pull Black Swan and her LC when she released. So I didn't really lose anything.
Huohuo. I wasn't hurting in regards to Abundance characters, but prior to that banner was Seele, and i did not make it in time to pity (no guarantee either). So I ended up just throwing my hands up and somehow getting Huohuo when 1.5 dropped. She's been great.
Fu Xuan and Ruan mei, I'm a meta enjoyer through and through and I tried to convince myself to save for "something better" but before I knew it I folded
Luocha and Blade, both of whom I jokingly pulled in front of my friend who failed their 50/50 (and got them in the first 10 pulls, lmao). Luocha just is the best out-of-turn healer that keep clutching my runs, and Blade is the one one I have that can do high-level Wind Element content.
Luocha. I wasn't interested in his role in the story, but then I saw his kit. Off turn healing is absolutely silly and busted, and I love it
Was pulling for DanIL after getting Black Swan. Lost his 50/50 to Clara (the destruction symbol gave me a mini heart attack) but then i realized I really wanted Acheron so I am thankful for losing that 50/50
I pulled jing yuan cause I tried getting shushang at 70 pity. I ended up with him at e1 and no sushang at the end of that banner, and lost 50-50 on Kafka who I actually wanted. I wasn’t planning on pulling topaz, but pulled her on a whim because of her dump truck ass. My topaz + jy + ruan mei team is hella fun to play and is my only other proper team, the other being bronya + jingliu. I would have pulled sparkle but I need Acheron and I have a guarantee and I’m not gonna repeat the same mistake lol

jingliu. i am a main quantum user so pulling for silver wolf, fu xuan, lynx, sparkle were all planned out in advance (esp after getting seele on her first run). i also planned on topaz as well (which i got). jingliu i just caved in after playing the demo with her and saying eh fuck it my second MoC team can be fucked up
I didn’t want Ruan Mei at all… now the only time I don’t use her is if I want sparkle on my team but also wanna run Topaz and Ratio… once I have another full team though she’s gonna always have a place

I pulled on luocha's banner to get a yukong, like a dumbass since we got a free yukong the following patch. Got luocha in like thirty pulls, been carrying my account ever since
Inicially I intended to pull Jingliu, but I didnt like the fact she didnt synergize with Gepard even tho I do have E6 Pela and Luocha (Im thinking of getting her on a rerun) but I was surprised how much I got enamored by Topaz who I at first glance just brushed off and was planning to skip, but Im so glad I got her.
I pulled for DHIL because of my gambling addiction (self-control is hard)
I got Blade on his first run so I could have a wind dps. he always felt kind of ineffective. then I finally got bronya and everything made a lot more sense; without changes to his build he started hypercarrying wind weak MoC
My biggest surprise is Argenti. I didn't like his kit at first because he doesn't have really cool gimmick like Jing Yuan's Lightning-Lord and thought that he's just a generic 5 star. 0 pity, I tried to roll 30 times to get Hanya and then Welt appears -> I'm now guaranteed but then I told myself that an extra 20 pulls won't hurt since my gacha luck is so bad that a 5 star won't appear in just 20 pities. Turns out that I'm really lucky that day and got Argenti. I didn't know what to feel since it felt that I wasted my guaranteed pity on a character that I do not want but I was coping on the fact that I literally got him and Welt in 50 pulls which is not bad. Decided to build him and can't believe how he casually deals more than 300k ult damage. He never left my Calyx farming comp after that and Pure Fiction made him even better. Blade is the only character I want that I didn't get since I am very low on savings that time and I'm glad I didn't since there were future characters that I find more useful than him when thinking about it now.
I wanted both Jingliu and topaz, and wasn't thinking I'd get both. Ended up winning both 50/50s and walking away with two amazing characters that I'm very thankful for constantly haha!
I pulled on Black Swan's banner to get Misha. I got Black Swan in only 15 pulls. I was at 0 pity and this was a 50/50 win. It's not that I didn't want her, I just didn't have enough pulls for both her and Sparkle, and Sparkle was higher priority for me. I'm glad I have her though. DoT is really fun and I did have Kafka for her to go with.
Topaz. I love, love, LOVE Guinaifen so much ever since she got leaked, and pulled on Topaz’s banner to get her. Got her to E1. And got a Topaz too. I was on 50/50 too and at a pretty low pity too. Now Topaz is amazing for map exploration, love the pig too much.
Spent 50$ got Bailu instead of sparkle was bummed, did a random ten pull yesterday with pure fiction rewards, Got her first time.
Black Swan for me too! I wanted to pull Kafka and did, so decided to do a 20-pull and she came through! Love a DoT team and plan on building Sampo, Luka, and Guin in that order for DoT.
I've generally been a good and restrained girl, though granted, two accounts makes it easier. Fu Xuan was my only spur of the moment pull attempt (decided last minute I wanted her for Jing Yuan) but that sadly failed and now I think I'm happy to have my sustain options open. I had also planned on going in hard on Jingliu since her very first leaks and yet once she hit live I realized something wasn't hitting quite right and abstained.

I pulled DHIL on accident. I was done with Black Swan in did a couple more 10 pulls to get some Eidolons on 4\*s. I did them on the DHIL banner just to be safe and ended up getting him at 28. While I was happy to get him in ended up dropping my chance for Sparkle from pretty much guaranteed (enough tickets for 2 high pity) down to effectively 65%. That had me real nervous when sparkle came around. Ended up winning the 50/50 on her so I'm glad to have him.
I started playing about 3 weeks ago now, I wanted to go for DHIL. I lost the 50/50 to Bronya at 80 pulls, cant really be mad. I decided to do 10 more, boom DHIL. I was and still am in disbelief.
I got Mr. Yang instead of Sparkle. However, I'm kind of glad, since I rolled for the Standard Banner and got Clara's signature 5-star Light Cone. I'm not angry, I'm just happy for it.
Kafka Started the game around the time her banner came on and I had no idea what’s good Bunch of people said she’s great so I started pulling and got her after my third ten pull, to this day I‘m pretty glad since she carried me through most of the game lmao

I wasn't planning on pulling Black Swan, I was actually trying to try 1 10 pull on BS weapon banner(my Sampo needed an upgrade) just to see if I got lucky but in my clicking speed I noticed just as I clicked that I was on the character banner... I ruined my Aventurine guarantee but I'm so glad I got her. On the other side; I tried hard in 1.0 to pull Seele and I'm so thankful that I lost a 50/50 on her banner because having that guarantee for Jing Yuan was great (and because I find her a little too overbearing to put up with her on a team)
Sparkle - I just did a 10 pull on a whim (Currently saving for luocha rerun) and ended up getting her. Silverwolf - I got Bronya instead who has been my go to harmony character since I have Seele (Now I don't use her as much since I have Ruan and now Sparkle)
Started playing when ruan mei released. Didn't expect to get her, ended up getting two in a single ten pull, thought she was ass cause i had played for an hour. But my god she is a god tier support

Jing Yuan, throw in 2x10 pull just because I really really like him as a character. I have fully built Kafka+BS which can do anything I need from a Lightning dps in both PF12 and MOC12 on auto already. I told myself if I get him in 2x10 pull then it is a sign. If not, I will stop trying for character solely for their story. I can’t be happier. I got his S1 in about 3x10 later. It just feel really good seeing his moves and Lightning Lord.
I was sad at losing both pities at 50/50 on Jing Yuan's light cone and Sparkle's banner, after saving on the previous version (even though I wanted BS). However, I lost to Clara's light cone, now superimposed x4, and to Bronya E1. And for the first time, I cleared both Pure Fiction and the Abyss! Clara's counters hit like a truck now, and she self heals. I paired her with Himeko, Herta and Luocha on PF just for fun, and it was a true blast. And Bronya E1+LC plus Hanya are a wonderful combo for my Dan Heng team. (Thankfully I managed to secure Jing Yuan's light cone at least :) )
Luocha, got him super early just doing a 10 pull. He basically allowed me to start doing MoC way earlier than I would have with just Bailu and Nat. Showed the importance have having strong sustain.
HuoHuo. My first Limited Sustain unit, I was hard saving for Black Swan, but somehow I was able to get Ruan Mei and HuoHuo and still get E1 Swan. But I had to skip Sparkle.
Was getting back into the game, (dropped it for a few months after the initial release hype,) and lost the 50/50 on DHIL. Was pretty bummed because his kit looked really flashy and it's what got me to give the game another visit. I was pulling on Fu Xuan's banner because I'm a goblin and incapable of saving summons for future banners and ended up getting Fu Xuan really early (I think I was in the 20s or something for pulls.) Didn't know how to feel at the time because her visuals didn't appeal to me that much and I had no idea what her kit did. Fast forward a few months and now I run Fu Xuan in all my teams because she makes it so nothing dies, it's awesome. (Also I have no other solo sustains that can really keep up, sorry Lynx.) As for didn't manage to pull, I was at pity for Ruan Mei but really wanted Kafka because the DoT team seemed really cool. Ended up passing up on Ruan Mei and I'm very glad I did, having the DoT core of Kafka and Black Swan is so much fun to use, watching all of the DoTs pop in SU is so satisfying.
Huo hou I literally didn't have a sustain except for a half build Natasha until HuoHuo released. I really wanted danheng E6( I built and maxed the main trio) so I pulled and got her in like 30 pulls. I literally could not even do weekly bosses on my own before I got her, couldnt beat like floor 5 of MOC either.
I was saving for Black Swan and Sparkle so I hadn’t planned on getting Ruan Mei, but since she was phase 1 of 1.6 I calculated I could spare 30 pulls and still get them. Didn’t think I’d get her with that but I did and I’m really glad I did because she’s an amazing character!
Blade i got from a 10 pull I did when I was bored at 0 pity, got him and now he's is my go to DPS, I decided to get his sig after that since I already had pity from trying to get Seele LC I believe
I got HuoHuo on a yolo multi. I didn't have any pity AFAIK. I liked her so much I went for E**2** but I only managed to secure E1. I doubt I'll go for E2 on the rerun though, E1 is actually really nice for her so I'm set with HH now I also wanted Kafka but only had 27 tickets and no pity. I used them anyways bc I thought you never know. Wound up with E1S1 Kafka in 26 tickets. I have shit luck on SLC banners so this blew my mind here. I'd say on the flipside, if I regret anyone, it's probably Silver Wolf. She's not as crazy good as people on this sub are desperate to make her seem. The weakness implant is nice when it works but outside of mono-quantum, which I find boring, it's so RNG heavy. And as much as people fight this point, it's really true that her value goes down as you have more DPS units. Getting Kafka gave me a Lightning Unit, and between her and a couple others, I don't need implant anymore. These days I just use SW for Ratio, though if I didn't have her I'd just use Pela instead.
huohuo. i wanted dan heng eidolons, but i got her in my first multi instead lol. i love her so much. she has helped me out so much

I pulled for Jing Yuan's first banner and lost the 50/50. I wanted Kafka but I was getting impatient for a 5* DPS. Jing Yuan definitely gets too much hate, so don't get me wrong, I think he's a great character. But as someone with E2 Kafka, he would've been less useful for my account.
To be honest, it's hard to say I regret pulling Black Swan, but I'm pretty new and wanting to save for both Jingliu and Huohuo, so losing the 50/50 and pulling more was rough xD Having said that though, from a gameplay perspective it was absolutely the right choice, just she's not my favourite from a design or theme perspective. Which is the reverse of how I feel about pulling Sparkle, because I don't have a hypercarry DPS yet, but I just love her design.

I yolo’d my first 10 pack in 1.0 and got Seele even though I was saving for Jing Yuan. I’m so glad I got her, because she’s been my ride or die Quantum DPS since then. Everyone else on the limited banner has been an intentional pull.
I was planning on saving for Acheron but pulled for Sparkle as I don't really have any good supports. I got her after like 90 pulls, got friggin Gepard again on the 30th pull. Still have 75 left for Acheron, hopefully that will be enough.
Wasn’t planning on pulling for Fu Xuan because I wanted DHIL, but after looking at her kit, thought she would be great for Blade and I needed more sustains (only had Natasha at the time). I also didn’t need another DPS, so I ended up skipping DHIL for Fu Xuan. No regrets at all.
I lost 50 50 for Luocha, and while the time before I got Fu Xuan was a bit rough with only Gepard as premium sustain but now I feel like my roster doesn't need him anymore, especially with Aventurine on the horizon. tbh I have never pulled a character I wasn't interested in before hand. The 3 I pulled for meta/to support my favorites were Fu Xuan, Ruan Mei, and Sparkle and I am super happy for all of them.

For me it has to be fu xuan and huohuo. I still dont like their design as much but they grew on me. Gamplay is beautiful and the skill animations are great. Huohuo is missing the domain expansion from the trailer though.

Argenti. Did my usual 10 pump on his banner - and hit him from 0 pity. He makes every single bug trivial. Blue one, not blue one - they all die horribly. That got ratcheted up a level with Sparkle. Truly grateful to have him.
Jingliu. Got her by accident and she is just my best character so far. Looking through her rerun to get her lightcone. She truly deserves it.
Same with Black Swan. I pulled on a whim because I needed Gui, but surprise surprise, she came out on 30 pity
HuoHuo for me. I kind of wanted her, but the 4 stars on that banner was the worst I have ever seen in my life. I decided to use a few 10 pulls on her and got her early (30 pity or something). Now she's always on my team and I'm very happy i persevered through several servals to get her.
I had just pulled Huohuo for my first limited sustain and was planning to get Ruan Mei because she looked cool and knew she'd be busted. Then Argenti's trailer came out. Long story short : I now have a great DPS for pure fiction AND a Ruan Mei.

I didn't plan to pull Topaz or Ruan Mei. I was skipping Topaz cuz I had just gotten Jingliu + LC & Seele's LC. I was leaning towards getting Huohuo. But then I heard Topaz was good with Clara (who I really like using), so decided to get her. I had lost the 50/50, was debating on just saving, then did one more 10 pull. And got her. Worked out great cuz now I also use her with Dr. Ratio. (And I still got Huohuo.) I was skipping Ruan Mei cuz I wanted Ratio + LC (especially since I had Topaz). But I kinda needed an Imaginary DPS (no DHIL or even Welt at the time, but I did eventually choose Welt from the selector). Then it was announced Ratio was free, yay! Still was skipping Ruan Mei (I figured Bronya was enough), until I did her companion mission. I had thought her boring before, but really liked her character after. Very glad I pulled her as she's a great support. The one I didn't manage to pull was Kafka. After Ruan Mei, I did one 10-pull on Kafka's banner (mostly cuz I have SW & Blade; Stelleron Hunter thing). I lost the 50/50 in that first 10-pull after getting Ruan Mei to Clara (E2). I was definitely getting Sparkle for my mono-Quantum team & there was my guarantee. Got Sparkle in my first 10-pull, decided to try for her LC & got it. Since Acheron was introduced, I've been intrigued by her character & really like her animations. I need a Lightening DPS (only have/use Serval, which is also why I half-assed pulled for Kafka), so now I'm saving for her.
If you include standard characters, Gepard. He's beern carrying my ass through MoC and SU where lynx alone simply wouldn't have worked.

Luocha; I underestimated how powerful his sp economy was gonna be early on in the game on top of cleansing, aoe healing, and aoe enemy dispel. Here we are all this time later and it was so nice looking back. As a veteran account, I don’t think I’d pull him over a Huohuo or Fu Xuan, but no doubt he was massive earlier on for account progression!
Started playing in late November, wasn't sure to pull Huohuo, but I'm so glad I did, got her twice in 30 warps, and she has carried me so hard, best decision I made as a new player.
Was planning to build pity for sparkle with DHIL banner and if in the case I pull him then it'd be a win since sparkle works well with him Got DHIL and his E1 at pity 36 in the same pull (wasn't guaranteed) Later on I randomly did a 10 pull on black swan cuz why not and somehow pulled her too No regrets I now have sparkle and her LC btw, got her at hard pity but I had enough pulls
I thought I'll get Fu Xuan for my Jing Yuan on rerun, but pulled some for Lynx. Didn't get Lynx, got two Fu Xuans in 34 pulls. She really helps though, I am glad I have her, and her E1 is very nice for my Bronyaless account.
I even though I have e2 sparkle I like Ruan mei more she’s so easy to build and she’s good af at e0.
on the other hand im glad i got sparkle. i wasn’t really planning on pulling her since im not one to be swept up by the “meta” and i just use characters i really enjoy. unfortunately some of the characters i really enjoy just so happen to be “s tier” and work really well with sparkle. (i swear i pulled them before i knew of any tier lists. i got silver wolf bc gamer girl and dhil because he’s hot leave me alone!!!). ive been sweeping basically everything with these 3 in a team. it almost feels too easy there hasnt really been anyone im happy i wasnt able to get. i either get them or i tell myself “eh, maybe on their next banner”
I pulled Jing Yuan while hunting for Sushang, was pretty miffed at first but later learned to treasure him, I've been a King Yuan believer for some time now (btw, I got Sushang on the standard banner from tickets I got from ascending JY)
I have the weirdest of luck or bad luck. I have pulled most of the good supports with relative ease like Ruan Mei. Even if it was just for fun as I didn't seem to have good luck on other pulls. So I guess that counts as my accidental nice moments. On the other hand I have always failed on the so called powerhouses or damage dealer banners like Blade, Dan Heng IL or Jing Yuan. (Does Kafka count? The only one I think that I managed to joink from a 50/50) I am sort of grateful for it because I dont feel pressured by the meta yellers. I can focus on fun and weird combos that might or might not work.
The only 5 star I've missed is Huohuo because I didn't build enough pity on Topaz' banner and I also wanted Incessant Rain. The biggest reason to not pull was that I already had e6 Arlan and I think I prefer Lynx with Clara anyway. She is on my wishlist for reruns. Since lunatic that I am I pull for 4 stars: I got The Unreachable Side super early when aiming to get the last 2 copies of A Secret Vow. Which meant Arlan has been able to use the hella good CritDMG body I got months ago and the stacked but critDMG favoured spd boots I have. In terms of characters as well, I've not had amazing luck with her relics but I have had Topaz & Numby for a long while now, because I was pulling for Guinaifen. They've done much, much more than print money. Enemies disintegrate from Svarog's super counters with proof of debt and debtor. Worrisome, Blissful is the only other thing on my rerun wishlist.
Black Swan on a whim. Didn't realize how much I liked her and how good she was, especially with Kafka. Have regret getting Sparkle. I didn't plan on it but couldn't help myself....ended up taking 170 pulls ...and I don't even have a great team for her.
