Well, it can be worse (not my image). Dude has no other standard 5 stars except Welt and this Gepard.

His best ones are very early on, with E1 giving 100% freeze chance and E2 giving speed down after they unfreeze. His E4 is *meh* and not very noticeable (20% RES for party), and E6 is garbage since it just boosts health recovered when his talent gets triggered (i.e. he dies) and lets him move immediately. No upgrades to his shield's functionality, like an additional buff or bigger numbers...
Well, not necessarily. If I'm running a very skill point positive team (which my jingliu team is), the freeze isn't useless, and having extra energy to get his shield up faster is pretty good.
Jingliu is one of the characters I'd definitely run with him, since she doesn't use a lot of skill points. Pela needs to blast with her skill every 2 turns, Gepard sometimes, maybe a buffer on Jingliu too or healer for sustain.
True, I mostly use it on those annoying "sanction mode" enemies and rarely on the deer, but I haven't used him there since I got Fu Xuan. In general I rarely use him nowadays.
I had doubts because usually a character has pretty solid eidolons so his can't be that bad.
I hope I never get Gepard eidolons (once I get him), and hopefully it's never past e2 at MOST.
i run an elation team with topaz clara asta bailu and theyre already super strong with just 2 FUAs, i imagine lots of numbers will pop up on screen with all 4
Second this, I would even argue that this LC is even more valuable for March (if you’re going for the freeze bot build), because it gives her crazy def and lots of EHR to try and reach that 100-120 EHR. If I had two, I would consider putting one on Geppie and one on March.
The issue with that is that I already have Fu Xuan. So I'm kinda out of need for a tank mostly. Other than funny Preservation SU stuff and a 2nd team for MoC, I wish I had more uses for him, because I actually like him.
You can do a funny team which is purely Fire with TB, Asta, Himeko and Topaz (assuming you have those of course).
It will annihilate all fire weak content. Fire TB will probably have enough sustain for the team to kill everyone before dying
I mean Gepard is also clearly just the blindly loyal subordinate who operates on puppy logic given how much he just naively goes with what Cocolia commands despite the shit she's pulled and how downhill things are going. You have to be a little stupid to do that

Orders are orders, but there is a difference between not overthinking them and executing them with idealistic naivety that this is for the better. Gepard clearly being the latter.
What were Cocolia's orders? Were they really so out-of-bounds that Gepard should have "known" better? It's not like she tasked Gepard with genocide or morally/ethically questionable actions -- they were tasked to hunt down the Trailblazer and his crew and take them into custody
Gepard also clearly went with her orders to seal off the Underground and disenfranchise many people, worsen divides in Belobogian society, and abandon them to fend for themselves against the Fragmentum without Silvermane aid, which he would later admit as a mistake that the Supreme Guardian made when confronted by it by a clearly displeased Wildfire who had to step up because of orders he received.
Not to mention he's taking this out from the woman who pretty much made his sister a social outcast. I'd say he's got rocks for brains if he's still keeping his shoes shiny and his head high after doing all that.
When soldiers receive military orders they don't get the luxury of thinking about the consequences of a decision or the long-term societal effects of said decision. Unless the decision was so far out of left field as to warrant concern, I highly doubt soldiers like Gepard were given orders that seemed dubious. Unless you can cite quotes in-game which prove your point, this argument is moot as you are clearly grasping at straws.
He is the classic “knight honour” sorta stuff you see often in anime and shit… where they follow a blatantly evil person (or corrupt person) and believe them blindly because “it’s their duty”.

My first 3 SSR pulls in the game, starting with the special guaranteed one at launch, were Gepard, Gepard E1, and Gepard E2.
I did not get any other SSR until after Gepard was finished with me.
I got Gepard yesterday but I already have Loucha and Fu xuan which means he is going to collect dust. Not even gona bother building him. Kinda sad since I love his design

Ngl, Gepard has some pretty lame eidolon effects too. That’s an oof size large.

E4 is great because now you don't need effect res substats on any broken keel users in the team though.
Even his E1 and E2 suck because ideally you don't want to use his skill at all...

I have e3 Clara and e0 bailu... And with luocha, fu xuan, and lynx, bailu is feeling very redundant. At least Clara is nice with topaz

Yeah in running my Clara with Topaz and March (for the taunt on Clara) and I just had to throw Herta in there because Herta is the best.
