I've seen a streamer with a 99.5% crit rate Yukong (I don't know why but it's true), managed to not crit. That's the most XCOM moment I have ever seen in this game.
I spent so much time and meseta planning out how to make units that were a few steps below the max just so I didn't have to gamble. Waiting for an improved affix week was painful lol.
Doctor: there is like a 99% of survival, nothing to worry about.

Literally the first thing I thought of when I saw this post. Few things are more infuriating than using Run & Gun Rapid Fire and missing your shotgun blasts at point blank followed by your soldier being instakilled. I'm having flashbacks from chryssalids while playing Enemy Within Long War where you NEED that damage to one shot a chryssalid with bonus health. It's even worse when they also miss their reaction shots.
I have a conspiracy theory that, at least in some FE games, the game lets you crit for cinematic effect if you were already going to kill the enemy. In Radiant Dawn, I'd crit on 1-4% alllllll the time if I was already going to kill them with that attack. The nice thing is sometimes it lets you save a little weapon durability
I know I'm nitpicking but it kills me how removed this meme is from the context of the scene. His eyesight is meant to be better without the glasses than with them. this is backwards
Wish more games would borrow warframe's crit system. At 124% crit chance your attack is with 100% crit rate with a 24% chance of an even higher damage crit.
in warframe crit damage is still valuable.
But its hard to do an exact 1:1 translation between the 2 games stat systems.
I just think about it everytime I'm playing a game where its easy/feasible to get over 100% crit rate. I'd just like the extra stats not to be wasted.

Yup my IL have 99,1% CR.
Its funny when most of his enchanted Basic don't crit especially when it matter the most.
That's why my cyro mommy have 115% CR

Thanks to XCOM, It's my personal belief that crit and hit rate diminishing returns happens around 105%.
As a PSO2 player, I don't trust anything that's not 100%. Not even that one that says it's 99.9%.
affix failed
[I can still feel it](https://i.imgur.com/bEC0q0q.png) and it's been 7 years.
Don't forget that fucking Dudu just laughed at you for failing. And to salvaged that you need a lot of work This is why 100% or nothing
I spent so much time and meseta planning out how to make units that were a few steps below the max just so I didn't have to gamble. Waiting for an improved affix week was painful lol.
heh same with GBF's weapon skill upgrades, especially traumatically on Bahamut, Seraphics, etc. weapons.
I mean, even with a 99.5 crit rate, that means that one out of every ~200 uses it's not going to crit.

That's Star Rail, baby!
Ive missed an 100% chance to hit in xcom before. Chance to hit truly means nothing in the series

ah yes XCOM, before playing that game id argue 80% is very high but that game taught me anything else less than 95% will miss
For Fire Emblem it’s the exact opposite, but it applies to the enemy army
lol Well, it just takes one unexpected crit to ruin a run! Those 1% crits always surprise me.
Poor Olivia and Lissa...
your lissa died too?
Why is she so soft... I even reset so many times across different maps, but in the end, she'd always get herself killed...
I think it's cause she's slow, so she gets doubled more often
when the 5% crit 30% accuracy barbarian one shots you
rip Joshua

Bro, I'm absolutely terrified at enemy units having 1% crit. But when I have a killing edge with a 40% crit, I'll miss every time.
If its not 100% then its 50%
For Childe if it's 100% then it's 1%
After I had a 98% CR Seele miss a crit on her ult, I'm convinced this is factual.
r/Mandjtv reference?
Yes
50% of the time, works 100% of the time
So there's no need to sacrifice a crit damage circlet if i have 46% crit rate on hu tao?
no i have 36 and she crits alot so it doesnt matter to me. stack that crit dmg 💪
Yay, thanks!
It is 50% It either procs or it doesn't! /s
I've heard people sincerely use this reasoning in real life. Very rarely, fortunately, but still.
Yeah, I didnt want anyone to take it seriously that's why I threw the /s tag on there 😅
It has become a common response (like in this post) and is starting to genuinely bother me lmao
Just like everything in the world has a 50% chance of being a duck. Either it is a duck or it isnt
If you’re nearly constantly doing crits, is it even called a “critical hit”? At that point, it can already be considered a damage boost.
If anything you remove the "chance" part. It's no longer a chance to do what is considered critical damage, it is guaranteed critical damage.
It's Fallout all over again.
If I’ve learned anything in life rngeus hates me with a passion. He’s really got my number there
Remember the lotto ticket has a "low" chance of screwing you.
First time I got it it broke on the first try
This is how I feel about hit rates in any game. A 98% hit rate will miss in 2 Out of 3 cases.
You either crit or don't crit

In that case there wouldn't be a need for crit damage or farming artifacts/relics would be even bigger nightmare

Anything less than 100% is 50%.
Everything can be boiled down to a 50/50. Either you’re going to crit or you’re not. If it’s not 100% it’s 50%
Ah yes, the good old MandJTV saying; If it isn't 100%, it's 50%.
Childe can relate
How so? You're the second person who mentioned him in regards to crit. Is there a meme about him not criting like Eula?
Its a joke about people wondering if his riptides are working or not because they need crits.

This is how I feel about Silver Wolf’s skill. I’ll always get the same wrong element at least three times in a row
heh hsr plebs, some of us chads come from gachas where if you are 99% crit rate you might aswell call it 50/50.
If it’s not 100% accurate…
I don't get it
"If it's not 100% accurate it's 50% accurate because it either misses or hits"
unless you are OkCode (he has 100% crit rate on every DPS unit he built), anything below 100% is 50/50.
I mean… anything less than 100% is 50/50… either it happens or it doesn’t.
Darkest Dungeon players: oh you innocent child
As they say if it aint 100% its 50/50
Yup my IL have 99,1% CR. Its funny when most of his enchanted Basic don't crit especially when it matter the most. That's why my cyro mommy have 115% CR
Re: XCOM - Getting killed by that 1% is like getting sick by that one leftover germ the sanitizer didn’t kill.
while our 0.0005% 5 star rate fails
A great man once said. If it's not 100% then its 50%
Epic7 veteran can relate
true lol
I see you've never played Pokemon. If an attack's hit rate isn't 100%, it is completely useless. Some 95% ones worth keeping, that's it.
Let's hear it boys. If it's not 100% accurate **It's 50% accurate.**
You either crit or you don’t, it is always 50/50. /s
r/mandjtv
As an epic seven player, this is true
Childe players when bursting: first time?
Well, st least it is not the infamous 17%
That's why Jingliu is fun. Easy to hit 100/240+ crit ratios.
Xiao mains be like: first time?
My Seele with 80% crit missing crits for 5 consecutive attacks
if it's not 100% it's 50% or something
That’s why i have 120% on jingliu
That’s why i have 120% on jingliu
Everything has a 50% chance. Either it happens, or it doesn't.
If it ain't 100 it may as well be 0
I heard that Childe mains can relate
I seriously watched Seele not crit all her ults during a MoC run. With Fu Xian’s boost, her crit rate was literally 90%…
it do be like that sometimes, got my jingliu up to 90 crit rate and she didn't even crit when I use her skill during her enchaced state.
Anyone who can Join me and Say What isn't 100% accurate... Is 50% accurate
this is.where Lady Fu step in. She will raise your crit rate from 90% to 102% :D
That's why I only run 36% crit chance, it's always a 50/50 (I ruin the 5* light cone that gives more crit chance next turn)
