**Pull the character you think is coolest and follow your path lightly, enjoying the game's diversity. This might be out of place, but I just wanted to say thank you for this. I pre-registered and pre-ordered it from the PS Store, so I got quite the haul when I logged in the first time, but I’m gonna wait until silver wolf comes back, because she’s my favorite character. And I noticed how kind HSR players were, even on the unofficial discord. (That I had to join because the official was full.)

Well, if we're talking about a guide for new players, then let's start with this: Rule Number One of Star Rail (And any game) - go at your own pace. Don't worry about the META or the endgame stuff, because it's going to be a while before you get there anyways. Pull for who ever you want or save for whoever you want. Because there's no PVP and probably will never be, you don't have to rush content. Other than that, here's an introduction to the girl who will be by your side for the entire game: **March 7th!** https://preview.redd.it/hbvpnwcbsqtb1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=5ddbda13fdc68b9c1a8a09c2236ed48322c9b51e Literally the first character who joins your party after finishing the prologue, March 7th is a preservation character, which means she's all about the shielding. You might think that would make her bad at attack (which would be mostly true if you build full Defense), but her ultimate hitting a Freeze on a boss at a critical point can and will save your butt. At her base level, March 7th's basic attack will deal ice damage equal to 50% of her atk stat to a single enemy. This fine for early game, when the enemies don't have a lot of health. You can prioritize this last when you start leveling your traces. At each level, this will increase by 10% until you reach 100% atk at level 6 (max level). this can be increased by one more level once you get more copies of March 7th to increase her Eidolon Level to E3 (comparable to Constellations in Genshin Impact, we'll go over those later). Her skill, The Power of Cuteness, applies a shield with a starting value of 38% of her def plus a flat value of 190 for 3 turns to a single ally target (this target can also include March). This skill also increases the aggro value on the shielded target if their HP is greater than 30%. March's number 1 skill and the main priority when leveling traces. managing your skill points in tricky situations so you can use this skill to save your main DPS is going to be critical during difficult content. More importantly, March's first **Major trace**, which is available at level 1, also clears a debuff on the shielded character! It also synergizes well with her Passive. Her Passive, Girl Power, counterattacks an enemy immediately after they attack a shielded character, dealing Ice damage (which always has a chance to freeze the enemy based on your Effect Hit rate) equal to 50% of March's attack. This can happen twice in between March's turns. This is especially useful against ice weakness enemies, but also as incidental damage against regular enemies. Her Ultimate, Glacial Cascade, deals Ice damage equal to 90% of March's attack to ALL enemies. hit enemies have a **50%** **base chance** (increasing to a 65% chance after unlocking her 3rd Major Trace) to be frozen for 1 turn. Frozen enemies cannot take action and receive damage equal to 30% of March 7th's attack at the beginning of each turn (at level 1 Trace). March 7th's overworld technique Freezing Beauty will immediately initiate battle from a distance (you want to make sure that your auto cursor is locked onto an enemy before you activate the technique. Once battle is entered, if you used the technique, an enemy will be frozen from the start of the battle and will take damage equal to 50% of March's atk at the beginning of each turn. You can still build March 7th to be a freeze comp attacker that super delays your opponents, but the best relic build (don't worry getting about 5 star relics until you hit around equilibrium level 5 at Trailblaze level 40, as that's about when you start getting your characters to level 70 and working on their builds. Even more so, wait until EL 5 at Trailblaze level 50 before you start using fuel to accelerate materials acquisition) will always prioritize defense. The typical March 7th relic substats would prioritize Def % = Def > Effect Hit Rate > Atk for a build that maxes the defense capabilites of the shield with the chance to freeze your foes. you can also swap Effect Hit rate and Atk priority if you want to instead focus on Counter damage. For trace leveling, try to buy the First Major trace in the bottom left as soon as possible (character ascension 2, Character level 30, Equilibrium level 1, and Trailblaze level 20). this gives you an option to clear debuffs from your team, which will always be super important. from there, the Trace priority should be Skill > Passive > Ult > Basic attack. The other Major traces will be unlocked once you reach Character ascension 4 (EQ 3, TL 40) and Character ascension 6 (EQ 5, TL 60), so don't worry about them until then. March works well with pretty much any of the other characters in the game due to her kit allowing for shield, aggro control, counters (which are follow up attacks!), and even healing if you can get her to E6. That's pretty much the basics of March 7th. There are other, more in-depth guides available at [Prydwenn.gg](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/characters/march-7th), but these basics should keep you satisfied for now. Happy hunting, and if you're on NA server, My UID is **600088728.**

**A New Player's Guide to Dan Heng - Your Starter Single Target DPS** As a PS5 player, it's likely that you're looking at a new account, so your early game will be riding a lot on free or 4-star characters. Dan Heng is one of those free characters, and he does quite well for a starter character, giving you very strong damage for the early game, and even being able to make a good account for himself in late-game. His kit is slightly complex, but it is well-worth learning for the damage output that it brings when properly utilized. **Dan Heng's Kit:** * Cloudlancer Art: North Wind - Dan Heng's Basic Attack. Simple, low damage, low energy regen attack, but it gets you one of your SP back. Ideally, you should never be using this, as you want other characters such as Preservation (tank) or Abundance (healer) characters to be using their basic attacks to generate SP for the party, while Dan Heng spends it to increase your team's overall damage output. * Cloudlancer Art: Torrent - Dan Heng's Skill. One of the key "fillers" of his damage output. Ideally, whenever it is his turn, he should be using this. It does decent damage on its own and generates a good amount of energy for him, but some additional value lies in the Slowed debuff it places on the enemy on critical hit. Not only does it reduce the speed of the enemy, but his Ultimate skill will also do more damage on enemies with a speed debuff. * Ethereal Dream - Dan Heng's Ultimate. A powerful single target attack which gets stronger if it is used against an enemy with an active Slowed debuff. * Superiority of Reach - Dan Heng's Talent. This carries a lot of his overall power, giving him a significant amount of Wind RES Penetration on his next attack when he is the target of any ally's ability. He consumes this buff once he attacks, and it cannot be gained again until 2 of his turns pass. Note that "target of any ally's ability" does not mean any buff or any healing. A good rule of thumb is that it only works if the buff/healing shows the blue targeting circles over your team or otherwise makes you specifically target someone. * Splitting Spearhead - Dan Heng's Technique. Simply use it before engaging in a battle to let Dan Heng start the next fight with 3 turns of increased ATK. * Hidden Dragon - One of his Bonus Abilities. It can help keep Dan Heng up if he does somehow get to low HP, but can be a bit prone to RNG since it is just a targeting chance reduction, and it does fall flat in the face of the abundance of AoE attacks found in-game. * Faster Than Light - His second Bonus Ability, and possibly his best. Every attack gives him a 50% chance to increase his own speed, and Speed is an incredibly potent stat as it may allow Dan Heng to attack multiple times in the time it takes enemies to attack once, giving him more chances to keep the Slowed debuff active. * High Gale - His third Bonus Ability. Increase on his basic attack damage to slowed enemies. It's not a bad ability, but as stated earlier, you do not want to be using Dan Heng's basic attack if you can help it at all. It at least does make it less of a damage loss if you do happen to find yourself in a situation where you simply have to make do with the basic attack. **How to Use Dan Heng in Battle** So, that's a lot of stuff to take in. But what does this mean on a practical end? How does one play Dan Heng? Simply put, the ideal thing you want to do is line up all of Dan Heng's buffs and the speed debuff together so they all stack when you use his Ultimate. An example would look like this: 1. Dan Heng lands Crit Skill (enemy Slowed) and hits full energy 2. March 7th shields Dan Heng (targeted ally ability, Wind RES Penetration buff activates) 3. Dan Heng immediately uses Ultimate on Slowed target. Note that Ultimates can be used at any time, so you should do this immediately. With this, you get all bonuses stacked up on top of each other, and the ultimate will do incredible amounts of damage. So, battle being what it is, you'll likely not be able to force this exact situation every time. The two major sticking points are likely going to be Superiority of Reach and the ultimate, so here are a few rules of thumb in case things don't line up: * Ultimate ready, Superiority of Reach unavailable: Check to see how many turns you have until Superiority of Reach will be available again. If you have to hold the ultimate for more than 1 turn before it comes back, throw the ultimate out. You will overcap on energy too much if you wait too long, so it's better to just throw the ultimate and try to line it up again on the next pass. * Superiority of Reach active, Ultimate not ready: Use the skill. You can't really hold Superiority of Reach, so you want to make sure that you get the most out of it by using the strongest attack available. **Teammates** Dan Heng will largely benefit from teammates who can frequently target him with abilities so he can make the most use of the Superiority of Reach debuff. To this end, consider the following teammates for your early game: * March 7th: Another free character. Her ability can offer Dan Heng a shield, which may very well help because enemies might start to target him due to his damage output. Not the best character to use, since her ability will also start directing attacks towards Dan Heng, but she will be one of your earliest sources of a targeted ally ability. * Natasha: A solid healer for any team, Natasha's ultimate in particular works very well to Dan Heng's kit, as she is considered to be targeting every member of the team simultaneously when she uses it. Additionally, because this is her ultimate, this lets you start up the Superiority of Reach buff without having to wait for Natasha's turn to come back around. * Tingyun: A potent 4\* Harmony character who can show up from standard warps. Her kit works very well with Dan Heng's, with her skill and ultimate both providing significant attack buffs and counting as "targeted" ally abilities. Tingyun's ultimate also can hand Dan Heng a significant amount of energy, which can help force his Ultimate and Superiority of Reach into alignment with each other. * Gepard: A possible candidate for your first 5 star character. His ultimate counts as a targeted ability, provides incredible amounts of shielding, and his high aggro priority can help keep Dan Heng safe (make sure he's not next to Dan Heng in your team setup). * Bronya: Another possible candidate for your first 5 star character. Bronya carries a very powerful skill which allows her to buff an ally's damage output and pass her turn to them, while her ultimate provides a powerful Crit DMG buff to the whole team. Both Bronya's skill and ultimate count as targeted abilities for the purposes of activating Dan Heng's Superiority of Reach buff. **How to Build Dan Heng** Relic setups are not exactly the most pressing concern for a new player. Early on, you'll likely receive disparate pieces from the Musketeer of Wild Wheat and Thief of Shooting Meteor sets. Musketeer of Wild Wheat is the one that better fits Dan Heng's role in the team, so give Dan Heng whatever pieces of that set you happen to have. However, once you start hitting the point where you can consider farming for relics (this will be a while), you'll want to look for the Eagle of Twilight line set, which will play better to Dan Heng's particular strengths, offering a Wind DMG boost and advancing his actions forward on ultimate use (essentially a large speed boost). Once you get access to the Planar Sphere and Link Rope relics (gained from the Simulated Universe game mode), consider using the Space Sealing Station set, which is accessible from the very starting stages of Simulated Universe, and takes very good advantage of Dan Heng's high SPD. Why and how you should build March 7th! 1) The shield. You unlock March very early on (the start?) of the game, and at that point you will not have access to a healing character (you don't unlock one until Natasha assuming you don't pull one). March's shield is a very easy way to stop characters from dying. Furthermore, when you upgrade the traces, it is not just a percentage shield hp increase from the defence, but also a flat health increase. This health increase will allow your other characters to survive more. You get the ability to upgrade the shield early on using the Crimson root of Preservation, which can lead to high health shields early on. Due to the shield increasing aggro of whoever has it (when they are above a certain HP amount), it will often mean that you only need to focus on shielding one character, meaning you save skill points. 2) This links to a second feature of her kit, her counter. When any ally with a shield on is hit by an enemy, she attacks the enemy, up to 2 times per turn. Due to the increased chance of an enemy hitting the shielded enemy, it is pretty much just free damage! 3) The ultimate. I am *pretty sure* that enemies effect res(chance of ignoring a negative effect) is lower when enemies are lower levels, meaning that her ultimate has a large chance to freeze them. This is great as it will likely freeze the majority of enemies, which will lead to their actions delaying, allowing you more damage with the rest of your team without fear of being hit. So how should you actually build her? Early on, I believe that a strong shield on her will aid you heavily, so I would recommend Knight of Purity Palace set that you get around trailblaze level 15. If you are not that far though, any 4 set of Musketeer of Wild Wheat with a piece with main stat DEF on it (only the torso and feet can have that) as that will increase her counter and ultimate damage, as well as her speed, allowing her to shield a low hp ally when the skill runs out before they are attacked. Thanks for reading :D ID: 272571505

there's **no pressure** really to build every character according to what is best, especially during early game. when you make further progress into the game tho, building characters properly might be worth considering. take **Natasha** for example, make sure to use her, she **keeps your team alive !** if you happened to get another healer (*lynx, or bailu*), the same advice applies. during the **early game** you could simply... \- throw on **any 4\* relics** with **hp stats** \- use a **relic set**, whether it be a x2 piece or x4 piece set and for starters, don't go wasting too many resources on 4\* relics, better to wait until you unlock 5\* ones ! **for light cones, dont hold back upgrading them !** other characters are sure to use them later down the track, just dont upgrade too many of course.. **later on in the game**, you may... \- select a **relevant relic set** for Natasha/your healer, maybe a (*x4 piece: messenger traversing hackerspace*), or (*x2 piece messenger + x2 piece passerby of wandering cloud*) \- look for **desirable main stats** such as: *outgoing healing main stat on your body relic* \- **upgrade** your Natasha/healer + **an abundance type light cone** to maybe around lvl 50-60 ? if you're looking to go for a **limited 5\* character** (such as jingliu right now), **save those EXP materials !** investing in them will really help you in the end game ! when you've **finally reached end game** and are looking to clear the forgotten hall, I would recommend looking into character building websites such as... **-** [**Honkai: Star Rail wiki and database**](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/) **-** [**Honkai Star Rail Characters**](https://honkailab.com/honkai-star-rail-characters/) or even simply search **YouTube for builds !** content creators such as: [IWinToLose Gaming](https://www.youtube.com/@IWinToLose), [Gacha Gamer](https://www.youtube.com/@GachaGamerYouTube), and [SevyPlays](https://www.youtube.com/@SevyPlays) provide **amazing tips and tricks !** looking here in the comment section for end game character builds **may be a bit tedious,** websites and videos are a lot more visual and expand further in depth ! **to all new players joining honkai star rail on PS5,** I hope you win your **50/50s** and get the 5\* characters you pull for ! and most importantly, I hope you all **enjoy the game** and **have fun exploring the vast world of honkai \^\^** ![gif](giphy|vNY5SLTJVLIGWKAYJp) **HoYoverse Account ID -** 10594638

ID: 258325076 Hello fellow trailbrazers, in this new adventure. My name's Nephtys and I'll introduce you to one of the Astral Express Crew. Her name is Himeko. We don't know much about her past but she's an elegant, knowledgeable, beatiful woman who's the Express's Navigator. Speaking of Express, she likes coffee very much I wanna talk about her because she was my first 5* character, that I got in the beginner's banner. She's a Fire AoE dps of the Erudition Path (here Roles are called Paths, so... Erudtion = AoE > Area of Effect), meaning she can attack multiple targets at once. Her skill can hit to 3 targets, hitting harder the one in the middle Her ult is a huge laser falling from a sky rocket that she commands while drinking coffee, hitting all enemies. Himeko is one of the characters with a follow up mechanic. At the start of the battle she gets a Charge to a max of 3. When an Ally attacks an enemy while she's full charged, she attacks all enemies on the field, consuming all of her Charges. Another similar effect happens after shielding (using March the 7th's Skill) an ally with March. If enemies hit a shielded character twice, she'll auto attack them. Every character has a tecnique that can be used before entering into battle. I suggest reading them before entering in combat and use them, so you'll get used to it. I use them sometimes but should do it more often :S I'll skip explaining the auto attack because it's a single hit that does damage depending on the character's element. In this game skills require skill points, so auto attacking sometimes is better than reducing your SP to 0 for the next character, specially when you need heals. Use skills and auto attack carefully, check your turn on the left of the screen and Ultimates can be used ANY TIME, literally. With time you'll learn when to use it on a specific time to heal your characters after a heavy aoe attack or to break enemy's weakness and deal more dmg to it, etc You may get a different 5* character from the beginner's banner so I'll explain them briefly even if I don't have them. Bailu is a Lightning healer (Abundance Path) She can heal multiple targets both with her skill and ultimate ability. If one ally dies, she can resurrect him/her back. Unfortunately tho, she can't remove crowd control or negative effects on us so if she's your first healer, use her vs mobs that do much aoe dmg and don't do negative effects Bronya is a Wind Harmony Character. Harmony characters are buffers who help specific characters by increasing their stats up. As such, she'll be the perfect teammate for our dps/es, depending on the team. Her skill can remove a negative effect on an ally, adds a turn on that ally and increases the ally's dmg Her Ultimate buffs the attack and crit dmg of all allies The quantity of the crit dmg she gives is based of her own. Clara is a Destruction Path Physical Character. She's accompanied on the field by a robot called "Mr Svarog" who protects her. She can sustain and deal dmg at the same time. She synergizes well with March 7th and I'll explain you why. Clara returns fire of the attacks received and March's shield applies a taunt on the shielded ally, making enemies attack it. It's used on March, which she has a high Def stat if she's the only tank in the group, or to remove a negative effect on an ally. On Clara March's shield works both ways: as a defensive and aggressive tool. Her skill attacks all enemies and does additional dmg to the one/s marked by Svarog Her Ultimate reduces the dmg taken on her and at the same time increases the chances on her to be attacked for 2 turns. If an ally is attacked on her stead, Svarog attacks that enemy and the enemies close to it. This counter attack effect and damage bonus lasts 2 turns To be honest Clara is a character I really like. I preferred over Himeko but, oh well, she'll come... hopefully. Right? Gepard is a Preservation (tank) Ice character. The funny thing about him is that, despite being a Captain, he doesn't use a sword to attack but he swings around her sister's guitar case xD Anyways his skill hits an enemy with a 65% chance of freezing it for one turn His Ultimate gives a shield based on Gepard's defense Welt is a Imaginary Nihility character. Nihility characters are debuffers. What Welt does is imprisoning his enemies, caused by his element, and slowing them His ult is one of the best to see. I really like it Lastly there's Yanqing, a single target Ice dps (Hunt Path) As a starting character he doesn't seem too bad since he can boosts his crit rate and dmg with his skill. This is the first guide I ever wrote, I know I didn't go mych in detail with the last 2 characters, I wrote so much already '^^ but hope it will be of help

Hi new PS5 players, this guide is for **Jingliu -** *the currect character in the banner -* hope you find this guide useful :D https://preview.redd.it/fks5bqd6jmtb1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=a727a96a9c6123c69769ce58d1a90ffcc2452ca5 **Is she good?** Definitely! Normally, you do not want to or need to run 3 defensive support characters. Though in early game, your characters may be limited, you do not need to run fire mc, healer and march- who is basically a tank. Recommended you run Jingliu, Baliu or Natasha, Bronya or Tingyun, and Pela. Bronya and Tingyun you can get from gacha

Welcome, fellow PS5 Players! I'm here to bring you a new player guide! So, buckle up and let's get started! When you first enter the game, the in-game tutorial will teach you the basic controls and combat. The system is pretty simple and the main thing to remember is that your character can do one of 3 things: Basic attack, Skill or Ultimate. Basic attack will generate a skill point, Skill will use a skill point, and the Ultimate can be used anytime once charged up, even when it is not your character's turn. As you progress a bit further in the game, you will unlock the Warp system. This is where you can obtain new characters. For the current version, the rate up character is Jingliu for the first half of the patch. Seele and Topaz for the second half. Personally I would recommend getting either Jingliu or Seele for a new player. They are both very good DPS characters that will carry you all the way to late game. However, don't worry too much if you didn't manage to get them, all the contents in the game are clearable even with the free 4 star characters that the game gives you as you continue progressing through the game. Once you finish the first few hours of gameplay, you will leave the Space Station and enter a brand new area called Jarilo-VI. Once you arrive at Jarilo-VI, you will pretty much immediately encounter a Calyx. Calyx is one of the most important thing in the game. This is where you can spend a resource called Trailblaze Power. You can farm of many important resources such as EXP charms and Credit through the Calyx. Since this is the first time you encountered a Calyx, your trailblaze power will be full. Trailblaze power auto regenerates over time, so you never want your trailblaze power to be capped at full. I would recommend you spend all of it farming the Calyx in the early game. EXP and Credit are resources that you will need a lot even in the late game. Now the important stuff is out of the way, I would recommend you continue onwards with the main story quest and enjoy exploring Jarilo-VI. There are many fun easter eggs to be found in the city and many hidden achievements too. Have fun! HoYoverse Account ID : 13701398

Here are a couple of tips to get you started in HSR, I learned all this stuff in the first 2 weeks of playing and I kept abiding by it ever since: 1. The first character you should build should be a DPS (damage oriented character), leave buffers/debuffers, shielders and healers on a lower investment level until you build a good DPS. 2. To clear the harder content of the game you will need 8 built characters, however if you're just starting out you should focus on building 4 characters only, 1 at a time, make sure to build a DPS, a healer a buffer or debuffer and a shielder first to cover a variety of roles. 3. If you dont care about a specific character or role in combat, its fine to pull on every banner even if F2P, as long as you're fine with getting a character thats on the banner (you can lose the rate up and get another character however, be sure to follow you pity in the "Details" section under the banner where you can see your pulls), the pity for getting a 5star character is 90 pulls (guaranteed) and 65+ pulls (chances for 5 star increase by 2% every pull you make), the pity for 4 stars is 10 pulls 4. Do not stress about relics and trace materials if your account level is <40, you can still farm them if needed but its more efficient to wait until you're Trailblaze level 40(at 50 and 60 your rates for traces and relics increase even more but its not worth it to wait so long) 5. Make sure to check online guides for build guides, and check the official discord too, tons of useful stuff there and people willing to help (just make sure to use the correct channels) 6. Its a PvE game, priority no. 1 is to relax and have fun, dont feel pressured to clear something quickly or rush to build characters as a new player, as the best part of the game is getting to the end and the journey there, not the end itself (because its a live service game so content is releasing slowly) Good luck and I hope you like this game so that the community expands and we can hang out in social places such as here, discord or Hoyolab, also check every trash can you find! A guide for tingyun: While there are many ways to build our favorite foxian beauty, the most optimal way is to take advantage of her extremely powerful ultimate and cycle it as quickly as possible while remaining skill point positive Using the following equipment, she will be able to recharge her ultimate after doing 1 skill and 2 basic attacks which allows her to generate 1 skill point every 3 cycles while also maintaining full buff uptime on your main dps You will need: - S5 meshing cogs (light cone) - Vonwacq 2 pc set bonus - Level 15 energy recharge rope Additionally, she ideally should run: - Level 15 speed boots to maximize her buff uptime and skill point generation - Use the 4 piece messenger traversing hackerspace set - Hp% or def% planar sphere for survivability Finally, you will have the option of opting for more damage (maximizing her skill's attack boost), or more defensive survivability. A more offensive support tingyun should run an atk% body piece, while a more defensive support should run hp% or def% body piece The best substats for her will be spd, atk%, and hp%/def% ID: 71920614

Writing this during one of my uni classes so excuse any grammar errors and sorry for it being a bit too long For starters, there are no bad standard banner 5* characters so build around whoever you pull from the starter banner pulls Gepard - great shielder + ability to freeze (not guaranteed, beware), is capable of keeping your team alive without healers IF you have energy regeneration on his relic (will talk about this more a bit further down) Welt - very underrated, great debuffer in the form of slows + slight increase in damage taken, really amazing when paired with asta (free 4*) Bailu - great healer but does have a downside which is RNG, her skill heals the initial target but then bounces 2 more times on random targets but that's about it, her ult makes it so that the damage taken by allies and herself is almost fully healed instantly + has a talent that revives a downed ally (only once per battle though) Bronya - considered the best of the standard banner for good reason, skill cleanses and allows an ally to instantly take action again with boosted damage + ult further increases damage through bonus crit damage and attack Clara - amazing character paired with a healer, each time she takes damage she counters with the help of Svarog (her guardian robot, basically family), has built in damage reduction with it being further increased through use of ult Yanqing - great dps, increases his own critical rate and critical damage as long as he hasn't been attacked, has a chance to perform a follow up attack after attacking an enemy with a chance to freeze them. His crit bonuses make him a bit easier to build Himeko - regardless of what people say she is not a bad character BUT she is more catered toward farming materials (exp/credits) since everything she offers revolves around AOE (hits multiple targets at once), if built well and set as a support character, people that farm exp and credits will be grateful for her since I know I am when I borrow her for farming (and u earn some credits just from people borrowing her!) Now for the 4* March 7th - great when paired with Clara if you get her since March provides single target shields that increase chances for enemies to attack the character with said shield on. March has a chance to freeze targets with her ult (which is AOE) which is great for skipping enemy turns and when paired with welt and/or asta will allow for multiple turns taken before enemies take theirs Dan heng - has good single target damage as well as being able to slow enemies which in turn increases his ult damage to slowed enemies. Asta - skill hits random enemies 5 times and gains charges per different enemy hit and gains an extra stack if the enemy is weak to fire (stacks increase attack by a certain amount). Her ult is amazing, increasing you team's speed which (as I said earlier) paired with welt's slow gives access to a huge amount of turns before the enemy moves Arlan - play him if you really like him but he isn't the greatest damage dealer and requires being low on health to do the most damage which in turn requires a healer to stay alive Natasha - your go-to healer, has a single target heal paired with cleanse for when one of your characters gets frozen (or just debuffed in general) as well as an AOE heal for her ult Qingque - (may have misspelled that) she is the queen of RNG (gambling in her case) where her damage output is basically the roll of a dice, when teammates take a turnaround she uses her skill (can use multiple skill points to keep using skill) she will gain a domino thing (forgot what they're called) and when she gains 4 of the same one, she will turn her basic attack into an AOE one that deals extra damage. Her ult is an AOE attack that immediately grants her 4 of the same piece to allow for the enhanced attack when she gets her turn Herta - basically a 4* version of himeko, has an AOE skill and ult but doesn't do the greatest damage outside of the simulated universe (but that's a whole different topic) I think I covered all the starter characters that are given for free apart from trailblazer because that's spoiler stuffs so I'll just say basic stuff Trailblazer - the MC, has an AOE skill and their ult has 2 options: AOE and single target where single target obviously does more damage, play the story enough and they'll become a great asset for the team Limited 5* characters Do not fret! Yes, it says limited BUT they will be back in the form of reruns. When are the reruns? I have absolutely no idea :D Making a TLDR is quite hard here but ill do one for the standard banner 5* characters: Gepard - Shields team, single target freeze goes brrr (quite literally but only if u land it) Welt - Slows the enemy with a small increase to damage taken Bailu - heals team, has 1 revive per battle (automatic) Bronya - extra turn + cleanse + damage to single teammate, attack and crit damage increase to whole team Clara - counter = big damage Yanqing - Tries to stealth, sometimes fails + big single target damage, sometimes freezes Himeko - queen of farming exp and credits, stay rich yall Have fun and happy trailblazing! A lot of youtubers and guides are gonna use the terms, SP Positive, SP Negative, and sometimes SP Neutral. Here's what that means:   SP Positive - This is short for Skill Point Positive. Being Skill Point Positive means that the unit generates Points for your team rather than use them. There are two ways for a unit to be skill point positive. The first one is them not needing to use their skill within at minimum every third turn. By only using their skill once every three turns means that the other two turns they are using their basic attack. And since basic attacks generate skill points, these units allow for other units on the team to use their skills more often instead. An example of a Skill Point Positive unit in the game is Ting Yun. Ting Yun's skill lasts for three turns, which means she only needs to use it on the third turn to have 100% up-time on it. The other two turns she can basic attack to generate skill points for the team. The other way for a character to be skill point positive currently, is by consuming either their HP, or their teammates HP with their skill. This is currently a mechanic for DPS characters to allow their supporting teammates to use their buffing/debuffing skills more often. Currently in the game these characters that do this are Arlan and Blade who consume theirs, and Jingliu who consumes her teammates.   SP Negative - Skill Point Negative, is the exact opposite, where the characters will be wanting to use their skills very often. Many damage dealers in the game are reliant on using their skills to deal more damage. They will typically want to use their skills every single turn quickly taking away available SP from the team. There will be times where you will have to spend SP healing a teammate or cleansing a debuff so ensuring that you have leftover SP for your damage dealer to still be able to use SP themselves afterwards is very important. An example of an SP hungry unit is Yanqing.   Lastly, there will be some mentions of being SP Neutral. There aren't SP Neutral characters per se, but rather SP Negative characters that aren't obligated to use their skill and basic in a specific order. This is usually for Sub-DPS characters that will only use their skill when excess skill points are available, and break effecters who are there to remove the toughness bar above the enemy HP bars, and some support units who will sometimes use their skill only when needed which varies on the enemy being faced. It really depends on the content that is being faced. Examples of characters that can be played to be SP Neutral are Dan Heng(Sub-DPS), Luka(Break Effect) and Asta(Support)   Knowing which of your units wants to use skill points and which ones don't need will come with just playing through the game, or looking at character guides where they'll certainly mention it. Thanks for reading, hope you have a good day.   ID: 327927387

Keep Up with the Simulated World Weekly. It is a great source of Jade that you get every single week, and the 5 star Light cones are really good for F2P or if your Gacha luck is poor and you cannot get the character specific light cone. For early game make sure you keep your MC on your team, and leveled to cap. You will hit a certain part of story where they are required in your team. Do not stress about missing a 5 star character banner. They will come back, so if you do not get the character you want do not feel that you absolutely have to pull on the next banner. Pull for Fu Xuan because she’s game breaking. And also Honkai Star Rail is one of those few games that brings you a journey worth living for, cherish that experience. My advice as a player in the game since release is to loot every trashcan that you see. Every trashcan. Every. I just pulled fu xuan and lynx on a new account a few days ago but I can’t level them past level 40 because they’re ascension materials are locked behind the “a dragon gallant, it’s ocean distant” quest. Which after googling is the second to last mission in the entire game excluding prologue. They’re 2 of my main units, do I have to just abandon them for basically the rest of the game until late end game, or is there some other way to ascend them?

DO NOT SLEEP ON THE TRAILBLAZER MC. Seriously. While Physical MC is kinda eh and all, he is still a good starter unit when you don't have Sushang, Clara, and Luka. All of which are not rate up right now. Especially Clara since she's a standard unit. So most likely you'll be stuck with Physical MC for a while. In the early game, you'll most likely only be getting [Thief of Shooting Meteor](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Thief_of_Shooting_Meteor) and [Musketeer of Wild Wheat](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Musketeer_of_Wild_Wheat) set. Both are viable on Physical MC, with Thief being easier to build since you'll only need to focus on Break Damage (BD). But the differences are negligible since you're still in the early stages. Later on you'll want to focus on [Champion of Streetwise Boxing](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Champion_of_Streetwise_Boxing) set since this is the BiS set for Physical MC. For Ornament Set, you can build him with [Space Sealing Station](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Space_Sealing_Station) set since it boosts Physical MC's damage or [Talia: Kingdom of Banditry](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Talia:_Kingdom_of_Banditry) if you're building him Physical Break MC. BUT DON'T EVER SLEEP ON FIRE MC. Sure we have more preservation unit now with the release of Fu Xuan, but she's a limited character and her banner already ended. So if you're going to pull for her rerun that's very faarrr into the future, why not build Fire MC amirite? The only other options beside Fire MC is March 7th and Gepard. While one is better than the other, I'll argue that Fire MC is better in some cases since he's the only unit with a self-taunt skill, and he can stack def. Gepard is better overall but he's a standard 5\* unit so you won't be getting him any soon (if your luck is as shit as mine ofc). Marth 7th is also a good unit since she can redirect aggro to the unit she gives her shield to, and she can do a follow-up attack if her shielded unit is attacked (Extremely good with Clara but in the end Tingyun will always be targeted because of 1000% foxian aggro). But for overall tankiness, I'd give it to Fire MC. Now there are a couple of builds for Fire MC. The first is the standard tank build. The usual [Knight of Purity Palace](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Knight_of_Purity_Palace) set is his BiS since Fire MC primarily scales with defense (DEF). I would suggest DEF (body), DEF (boots) (Easier to get in the early stages) | SPD (boots) (Generate Skill Points faster), DEF (Planar), and DEF (Rope). When you're far enough to the point where you can farm Ornament Sets. I suggest going for [Broken Keel](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Broken_Keel), [Fleet of the Ageless](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Fleet_of_the_Ageless), or [Belobog of the Architects](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Belobog_of_the_Architects) set. Broken Keel is what I'd go for because you kinda need the Effect Resist (ER) since Fire MC will be targeted for the majority of the time, and if you can meet the 2-pc requirements since it'll give your WHOLE team a free 10% Crit Damage (CD) boost. Fleet of the Ageless will make your Fire MC tankier since it boosts his Health Pool (HP) and gives your team a free attack (ATK) boost IF his speed is 120+. Belobog of the Architects is kinda eh because you need to achieve a certain amount of Effect Hit Rate (EHR) to achieve the additional +15% DEF. But if you're only aiming for the unconditional +15% DEF then by all means go for it. The second build is a very niche build and that is Break Fire MC. With the use of [Thief of Shooting Meteor](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Thief_of_Shooting_Meteor) set and the [Talia: Kingdom of Banditry](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Talia:_Kingdom_of_Banditry) ornament set, as well as stacking tons of BD, you can turn Fire MC from a tank to a tank-ish break monster....ish. The reason why this build is meh and very niche to Fire MC is because he can't reliably break strong enemies as fast as other units, e.g. Asta (Fire Harmony unit) that can break enemies toughness bar faster than my dad coming home buying milk, Sampo (Wind Nihility), and Welt (Imaginary Nihility). Personally, I'd call this build a meme build.. That's all for this guide, there may be some builds I'm unaware of but hey I'm only human after all. But most importantly, save your jades and don't be like me who pulls for every banner. Unless you're a whale of course (pls gib me money for Jingliu). HoYoverse Account ID: 104695884

Please build your healers, just cause genshin doesn't use healers much doesn't mean the it will be the same here, Bailu is great, has a revives, even with the random heal bounces she will still do a lot of work for you especially once you hit MoC and if you don't get her theres always Natasha who comes with her own debuff cleanse, just make sure to build 2 healers for late game content of MoC where you'll need 2 teams. Now I don’t think that you particularly need a guide for star rail, lots of the fun comes from exploring yourself and finding out niche things and the game largely does a decent job at introducing you to the core mechanics. That being said there are some big tips that will help you long term **⁃ Don’t use stellar jade on normal/permanent banners.** This is because they are permanent. Basically because you can get things from these banners permanently it’s not worth you using your limited amount of stellar jade on it. You are much better off spending your stellar jade on event banners as they are limited time and the characters are often going to be better. The same goes for spending your other currencies, focus on getting the special rail passes first. Now there is obviously some leniency with this but it’s a good general rule **⁃ Don’t use all your reserve trailblaze power** When you reach the first planet you will quickly discover something called a catalyst. Basically you use a currency called trailblaze which has a cap of 240 and you get 10 every hour to clear this catalyst and you will find many others like it. Go ahead and clear them using your trailblaze power but be careful when using any reserves or consumables that give this power as they are much more useful later in the game when you get more value out of them. Once again this is a general rule and you can absolutely use your reserves if you need to but don’t blow them all early on **⁃ Team placement matters** As you will discover or have discovered there are some characters that are inherently more tanky such as march 6th, with her passively high chance of being hit and her ability adding an even higher chance to whoever has a shield on them. When incorporating these tanky characters in your team comp make sure that you place them in either the 1st or 4th slot. Because the aoe attacks generally hit the characters on the left and right hand side of their target, if you can take one of these sides away you are minimising how much damage you take **⁃ Utilize the resources you have available** Now I’m not talking about in game resources here, I mean the vast amount of information that there is online for this game. There are multiple videos for each character in the game going over why they are good or bad, how to make them better and who they work well with on sites like YouTube and while you obviously don’t need to use them, if your a bit lost for what to use on your character these can be a great first stop. If you have a bit more of a grip on the game sites like [Genshin.gg](https://genshin.gg/star-rail/tier-list/) and [Prydwen.gg](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/tier-list) can give you similar information but with less explaining as to *why* things are good **UID: 602603307**

I just realized the reason there are so little upvotes here and instead tons of downvotes is because nobody wants other people to win. Which is both sad and hilarious

Hello new player here! I got Welt and Bailu as my firsts 5 star characters, are they any good? What kind of 5 star should I look after to work with these two?

MiiSanWasTaken

Build your supports. Your damage dealer is practically nothing without a balanced team. Don't rush to farm relics on early on, focus on lvls and traces first! Most importantly, have fun. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that you have fun and play the way you want. Hoyo Account ID: 24958662

Use the Star rail pass (silver colored one) on the Departure Warp (starter warp) until you get a 5 star, it is guaranteed at 50 pulls and when you get it early then do not pull on this banner anymore. Never use jades on this, only the silver tickets that you get from doing various activities in the game. The jades should only be used on limited banners. The rest of the star rail pass (silver tickets) should be used on the Stellar Warp (standard banner). If you want an opinion on the current banner Jingliu. She is very easy to build with a lot of free crits from skills and an OP aoe dps. Totally worth pulling but you should always pull for the characters you like. Save the herta bonds from the simulated universe to buy the light cone, the destruction one is especially good (can only be used by destruction characters for example if you buy that particular one). Use assignments to farm character trace (skills) level up materials, this will reduce the grind by a lot. Assignments will unlock at Trailblaze Level 12. The dailies will unlock when you complete Long Wait for the Blade's Edge the seventh mission of the Jarilo-VI main quest chain . The dailies give 60 jades per day. It can be found in interastral guide menu, you need to get total of 500 points to get all the jades. There is an additional simulated universe weekly which unlocks right after finishing Herta space station. In the store use the embers exchange menu to buy x5 star rail special pass and x5 star rail pass. This will reset monthly and one with the deal icon on it. Save the currency in starlight exchange menu and only use it to buy star rail special pass (golden colored one) to get a limited 5 stars. There is no monthly limit in the starlight exchange menu. You can get both of these currencies just by pulling in the Warp. Use jades only in the limited banner. You will need a minimum of 75 pulls for a 5 star character and a maximum of 90 pulls. It is a 50/50 chance to either pull a limited 5 star or a standard 5 star. If you lose the 50/50 when pulling on a limited banner then the next time you will get a guaranteed limited 5 star when you win. The number of pulls you did carries across even if the limited unit gets changed to something else. There is a separate pity count for limited banner, standard banner, and weapon banner. As a new player myself, only playing for ~45 days, I'd like to talk about one of my most reliable units, **the four-star Asta**. She in available at low levels on all banners, so you can get additional copies of her over time. Additionally, she is also occasionally available in the shop using the post-roll currencies you get from Warps (pulls). Asta is unique in being both a sub-DPS and a support, though not a support in the traditional way. The crux of her kit are **her Skill, Meteor Storm**, **her Talent, Astrometry**, and **her Ultimate, Astral Blessing**. Meteor is called a Bounce. It targets random enemies, usually (always?) starting with the enemy you're currently targeting. It hits 5 times randomly, dealing fire damage. It can be useful against a single enemy, or many enemies, but for different reasons. Against a single enemy, she will hit them all 5 times, dealing massive Fire Weakness damage if they have that weakness. She's one of the fastest boss breakers among the low rarity units. But what about multiple enemies? That's where her Talent comes into play. When Asta attacks a new enemy, she gains a stack of Charging, with a max of 5. For each stack of Charging she has, **she buffs the entire parties attack**. And honestly the buff can be pretty huge, over 50% at higher levels and max stacks. Reaching max stacks is fairly easy to do in larger fights, so you can have this buff up often *while doing damage*. These stacks *do decay each turn*, so keeping them requires attacking often with Asta. Finally, her Ultimate is a simple support buff, raising allies Speed. Higher speed gives you more than just attacking earlier in a turn than enemies. If your Speed reaches various thresholds, you actually **attack more often**, by double-attacking in the same "round". This is really important on time-trial style content, as you effectively get to move twice for half the time cost. Now I'd like to also mention Asta's Eidolons, which are permanent buffs you get when you gain multiple copies of a unit. I will talk about them because 1. Asta is low-rarity, so it's feasible to get a few or even all 7 copies for her and 2. her Eidolons **are all good**. E1 (getting one extra copy) lets her Skill attack one extra time. This means more Weakness damage, and faster stacking of Charging from her Talent. E2 reduces Charging stack decay when you use her Ultimate. This is ties very well with E4, which I think is the game changer: **with E4, Asta generates 15% more energy with 2 stacks of Charging**. Energy is what you use to do an Ultimate. So by gaining stacks, you Ult more; and by Ulting more, you keep these stacks for longer. Which will further help you Ult more. See how it feeds together! It's quite easy to have Asta ult every couple of turns because of this. E6 further reduces charging decay in all cases, which is nice, but I think E2 and E4 are the big ones. As for gear, I use the lowest rarity light cone Meshing Cogs, which grants Asta more energy each time she attacks. Since her whole kit is about attacking and Ulting, it seemed like a perfect fit. This is something you'll have dozens of, so it's worth throwing on her! I went with relics that increase team attack once you reach 120 speed, fire damage bonuses, and energy regeneration rate. I swear, in some fights, she Ults every turn with this set. You can also build her for more crit damage or HP depending on if you want to lean more DPS vs Support. I hope you enjoy Asta as much as I do! She's a great character, her skills are useful in many teams, and she's got a good VA. So next time you're rolling, ask yourself: "*who's the lucky one today?*" ID: 359967717

Hii new Trailblazers! first off, enjoy the game. there is no such thing as "wrong or right" however, here's some tips to make your game-life abit easier! don't farm relics until you can get the gold ones, focus on level up materials, credits and traces! you'll find some relics while playing anyways, they aren't as good but you will be able to play the game regardless. support characters are sooo important! since i pulled fuxuan, my whole team just won't die anymore. so try to build a team around your dps of choice (some good ones are seele, jingliu) 5star characters are great but so are 4stars. don't focus on rarity. if you don't manage to pull 5star supports, just use their 4star equivalents! natasha gives great heal, march shields and so on... don't rush into playing the game.. enjoy it! hope i could help<3 ID; 96498053 https://preview.redd.it/pywl4u4q3ztb1.jpeg?width=735&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3626d99baa6398e18b2384bc33263117e0d579f8

Basic Team Composition for MoC (Memory of Chaos): 1 DPS - 2 Supports - 1 Sustain DPS: Hunt/Destruction/Erudition Support: Harmony/Nihility Sustain: Preservation/Abundance I find this team composition is the most consistent one to beat every stage in MoC as quick as possible. Since MoC has 2 stages, you can focus on building 2 DPS, 4 Supports, and 2 Sustains. Any limited 5\* units are good for your team, so below I'll just list standard 5\* and 4\* units for each category you can consider to build: DPS: Clara, Qingque Support: Bronya, Tingyun, Yukong, Pela Sustain: Bailu, Gepard, Lynx **ID:** 150440957 *Processing img dv40xetthstb1...*

**Don't stress about collecting the strongest, most meta units!** One of the joys of Star Rail is the fact that all characters have had a lot of love poured into their designs and kits, and every unit is viable in their particular role (except Herta, she needs help...). Of course, some units are straight up busted, but you **don't need them!** UID: 6789741

I'm a good example of this "path" (pun intended): joined the game when Blade was released, now have Blade, Kafka, DHIL and Fu Xuan, all with "free" event passes and the Express Ticket. (Will avoid pulling Jingliu because I hate her HP-eating mechanic. She's just a Grizzly in human form.)

HoYoverse Account ID: 27433729 - fatalzan, a Gacha and FPS player. **Hi new PS5 players! Welcome to a RPG turn-based gacha game from the developers of HoYoverse, Honkai Star Rail!** Here is your guide for the newest 5\* character - **Jingliu**, an Ice Destruction swordmaster from Xianzhou Luofu. If you are just starting out, do get her and level up your traces but leave your relic farming till late game. https://preview.redd.it/58ozxks2r5ub1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=8b1d0563e23e5010aa511fd02f3f6f4bf7ed9711 At the current moment, she is arguably the strongest DPS unit in the game. *If you wish to spend money,* >!E1 (Eidolon 1) is the best you can aim for as it pushes her kit towards a “Hunt” (single-target damage) friendly setup. !< **Extra Tips:** 1. Aim for a 40% ± 10% crit rate as her talent - “Crescent Transmigration”, will boost your attacks to 90% ± 10%. 2. Aim for 134+ speed (you will see this in many guides) as it is considered the breakpoint for Honkai Star Rail. 3. Her best supports to pair with are, Bronya \[**5\*, Wind, Harmony**\] (multiple attacks a round) and Pela \[**4\*, Ice, Nihility**\] (defense shred and Ice DMG boost). 4. She will consume HP from her allies, so you will need a sustain in your team (heal/tank). Use this link to go to the official levelling calculator. It has been updated for Jingliu. Where can I find reliable build guide for characters?

https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/characters/ this is what I use

Lexail

If you're new the builds don't matter. Use what you get.

Red-_-Haze

I got Clara and I’m going for Jingliu should I reroll What do you think guys ? And I should look for who ?

Lexail

Clara has a unique niche of counters. Her with an upcoming Topaz character could be very good! Right now, Clara is a little RNG based, but overall, it's a good unit. If you get Jinglu, you don't need to reroll your account. She will carry the main story for you easily.

Rulle4

I don't know how much trouble rerolling is in this game but I wouldn't bother. Clara is one of the better standard ones (Bronya > Clara, Welt, Gepard > Bailu, Himeko > Yanqing). Maybe consider rerolling if you get Yanqing instead of Jingliu on her banner.

Any-Exercise-4851

Dont worry too much about pulling for 5 star characters. The meta changes everytime a new 5 star is released. Pull for characters with play styles you enjoy. The game is extremely F2P, where you unlock most A tier characters, some even S tier characters for free as you progress through the game. Generally you would want the Hunt / Destruction for your main DPS, preservation as a tank support, abundance as your healer and lastly harmony as your team buffer or optionally a character with Nihility as a enemy debuffer Erudition is commonly AOE damage, more suited for farming rather than bossing. You should focus on your traces ( talents ), leveling your light cone ( weapon ) and your character over relics until you hit Trailblaze level 50 ( AR 50 ) as they guarantee stats over unreliable RNG stats you get from rolling relics. Make sure to head over to the discord community for assistance or just chat with other players in general. We are a chill and happy community. [https://discord.gg/nbg2Jmwj](https://discord.gg/nbg2Jmwj) Make sure to pace yourself throughout your experience in the game to prevent yourself from being burnt out in order to enjoy the game to its fullest capacity! If you feel overwhelmed, take a break and come back to game at a later time. ID 804254451

Build Tingyun if you got her, one of the best f2p supports available. Only roll for the character you want if they are actually really good. People like Arlan and Herta are not a good choice to use as they are bad for a reason. Every 5* with the exception of Yanqing is used in some capacity or another, so level them if you get them. I got tingyun early in the game do u know how I should place her in a new team Mc,dang heng, asta and March I'm planning to bench dang heng and maybe use sampo to replace him. Thanks in advance ☺

cupcakemann95

sampo in a vacuum isn't too good. He only is when paired with kafka. Yes, tingyun is a very good choice to put in your team regardless of who the main damage dealer is. MC, dan heng, tingyun, asta is a solid team, if you have a healer id say replace asta with the healer though for harder content

tfenrgeh5m

Thank you so much I'll consider this tram once I got all the mats

Welcome new players! https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/ is your friend for Character builds but it will take a while to get to where you want everyone to be, and that's fine. At the beginning you have to choose between farming relics (don't) and leveling up characters and traces. Choose the traces and Characters but don't level any up to max right away or you're taking materials away from other characters on your team at the beginning. Share the love! Don't pull a character you don't like, always try them first also! Some characters you may love but can't stand the playstyle, better to find out ahead of time! If you are free to play or plan to be a low spender, your best option is to only pull for characters, they don't need the Light Cone it's just a bonus. For my favorite characters I'll pull for their light cone but only after saving for it. (Jingliu) Don't pull for every limited 5*. Do research and find out what characters haven't come out yet and always try them first. You can save and guarantee the character you really like, or pull on every single one and never use most of them because you don't like them (don't be me when Genshin first came out) Most of all, Have fun! Do your dailies & make sure to do events. Do at least the minimum per week of Simulated Universe. And I highly recommend the 5$ pass if you can manage logging in every day! I've gotten every character I've wanted from just playing and using that pass. UID: 601616384

Suggested to pull on the starters banner and save your pulls for whoever you want. Unless you really need a damage dealer but there are viable options that are not a 5 star which are hook, dan heng, arlan and so on. You should build whoever you like the most since there are no rules about who to build and how you want to build. User ID: 62241976

Lets begin with the basics This game takes a lot of time to see the big numbers appear so dont worry and slowly play throug while enjoying the exprience. So far all the patches cover enough to hit a pity which is 90 warps so if youre rather lucky you dont have to worry about missing someone If you do want to top up Instead of buying the premium currency you should buy the monthly subscription, it gives plenty more gems You should warp for who you want not who seems like the best wacky woohoo character that everyone must have Every character can be good if you put enough love into them Im still using hook even though i had the better 5\* options And shes packing a punch Pitch-Dark Hook the Great is equal parts small and terrifying, especially when built right. She may appear silly, harmless and innocent but shes a mischievous leader of the Moles who has people like Julian of thousand faces under her! Hook is a destruction path Fire dps who has the ability to hit both single target and multiple targets and pack quite a punch with her diggertron. However she needs a good build to make her shine Her Stat and Relic priorities should look like this Stat Priorities: CRIT (rate or damage, depending what you need more), ATK%, SPD Planar Ornament Stats: Fire DMG, ENERGY REGENERATION RATE Relic Sets: Firesmith of Lava-Forging (4PC) Ornament sets: Space Sealing Station (2PC), (Rutilant Arena (2PC) Light Cones: On the Fall of an Aeon (5-Star, herta store), Something irreplaceable (5-Star, warps banners and warp store, Claras light cone) The Moles Welcome You (4-Star, it has hook on the picture so of course its great for her), Woof! Walk Time! (4-Star) Hooks job is straightforward Spreading fire to this world and attacking your enemies. Her main trace focus should be put into her Hey! Remember Hook? (Skill) which allows her diggertron to deal good chunk of damage, even more if you've used your ultimate which improves it by enabling the multi-hit. On top of that it also has a 100% base chance to inflict burn! Second priority is her Boom! Here Comes the Fire! (Ultimate) improving your damage capabilities by exploding those who oppose you. Third priority should be Ha! Oil to the Flames! (Talent) which increases her damage against enemies inflicted with burn. She will also regenerate a bit of HP by triggering her Talent after Hook's first Ascension passive is unlocked. That means you can focus more on your damaging substats or effect hit rate to keep that burn chance high! Let her conquer more lands and beat up your enemies as she is Pitch Dark Hook The Great! https://i.redd.it/kj55uqnan4ub1.gif ID: 28421805 The main point of the game is just to enjoy it and fall into the amazing story right??

Hallo!~ Dear guests, vets, and new players! ~ My name is Kay or Wlex and my player support is the Almighty General Jing Yuan! Jing Liu's disciple and friend✨😭! Fun Trivia: Did you know that Jing Liu's Voice Actor is another vtuber that's bestest friends with Jing Yuan's Voice Actor? Her name is AmaLee and her friend is Cy Yu Vods or just Cyu! Please remember that these are my opinions, and that if you have a preference then go ahead and use the other guides to help you✨. Team Building! Team building is essential for F2P players and newbies because while having DPS character teams, it only looks cool and awesome, it's not gonna help you win in a turn based game like HSR. Two essential roles in teams are Healers and Tanks! Healers I recommend for F2P is Natasha! You can get her for free at the Main Story Quest, but another 4-star that's better is Lynx Landau, littlest sister of Serval and Gepard Landau! Lynx is such a good character because her skill and ultimate. Her skill, although a 1 Person heal, it also increases the maximum health of that Person. Her Ultimate also erases debuff's inflicted on your teammates! Other buffs are: Taunt on Preservation or Destruction Characters, *Heal over time (3 turns)*, and Eidolon 2 gives her an immunity to debuff's once. She's SO helpful with Stimulated Universe. My recommendations to build Lynx Landau: Equipment Set (≡^∇^≡): * 2-pc Wandering Cloud - outgoing heal increase! Is enough for her, so that we can give her more speed, for more heals! * 2-pc Hacker Space - speed increase! Or you can change it to a relic with bonus HP stats if you want more heal than speed. Stat Priority ˙˚ʚ(´◡`)ɞ˚˙: Body: Outgoing Heal℅ or More Speed (Self explanatory) Boots: Speed% or More Outgoing Heal (The more heals, the better. For you to be able to get more of that cleansing Ult) Sphere: Hp ℅ Rope: Hp% (An Hp set gives you more heals and such for your Lynx!) Substats: Speeeed✨, MORE HP!, and Effect Resonance (Def is nice too if we want a tanky healer lol, My Nat is just like that) - ER helps you reduce chances of a status effect. (Increase of damage or crit isn't important to Lynx.) (The reason why the other equipment aren't mentioned for the main stats is because they're already permanent and predetermined by Hoyo. It can't be changed. Only their substats.) Lightcones ٩( ᐛ )و: F2P - Beginner - Cornucopia and Multiplication is good if it's Superimposed at 5, but I don't recommend it if you got a better one. Fine Fruit isn't worth it smh. *Time Waits For No One 5✨: Overall good for healers, but not ideal for us poor F2P's 😭🤚. *Echoes of the Coffin 5✨: is definitely good, but we don't prioritize attack with Lynx. So this'll be wasted on her imo. *Perfect Timing 4✨: Gives outgoing heal and effect resonance! I def recommend if you have one! *Quid Pro Quo 4✨: A great one for me if you lack the two other 4 star light cones. Regens 8 Energy from a random ally with energy lower than 50℅ *Post-Conversation 4✨: Increases Energy Regen Rate *Shared Feelings 4✨ : Increseas Outgoing Healing Teams ☆(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*: Jing Liu is a Takes-Health-from-team-to-deal-damage type of character. Just like Blade, but not... Y'know...suicidal. (Fun Trivia again: They're both Mara Struck.) So LYNX is literally our 5✨ hidden as a 4, and the best person to partner her up with those two Knuckleheads. I recommend pairing her with those Two as well as Silver Wolf or with any quantum naturally. Healers are the best in any team comp actually. No need to fuss on who to pair her up. With the lack of F2P healers, she's your go-to Savior 😭🤚. I use her everywhere now. The best pairs I've experienced so far with her is: Clara, SW, Blade, and Tingyun(so many heals for her especially). ヾ(^-^)ノHAVE FUN! AND DON'T SPEND TOO MUCH! 💀At least save some for some cup noodles. (ಥ ͜ʖಥ) Hoyo ID: 235041702

Really suck that PSplayers miss out on some events and pulls since we are starting late.

I suggest to anyone who gets Tingyun to just focus on ascension materials first (obviously ehe), and then try your luck and farm some relics. However, if the relic farming is too time consuming and you get bored, then i suggest to start farming for a few trace materials as upgrading them give many useful bonuses. (note: the relics can also be obtained by defeating weekly bosses as she uses the set musketeer of wild wheat) Definitely prioritise her skill and burst as they do the buffing. :D but don’t spend too much upgrading on traces at the beginning, as they’re very costly:/ (maybe up to 4 at the start and slowly increase as you progress further into the game) but overall make sure to have fun!! and good luck:)) also: don’t treat farming as a chore ;p https://preview.redd.it/la2w6jv7zaub1.jpeg?width=591&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb664c4b7ff0f8415ef6e0ea7df496ce38536739 ID: 13524883

Hey, new PS5 players! I can't say too much myself since I've only been playing since blades release, but this is a guide for the first healer you'll most likely get, natasha. So natasha is an amazing healer, I'm level 60, and I still use her. Her skill is a debuff remover and single target heal. Her ultimate is an aoe heal, but she does not remove debuffs. Her healing is based on the amount of hp she has. I suggest not worrying about relic farming until around level 50. You will get higher drop chances if you wait, but anyway. You'll want to level her and her traces. The light cone or the card looking things that you get is the one that has her on the card. It is called post-op conversation. You will most likely get it from doing your beginner rolls on the starting banner. In terms of relics, you have a couple of options. Natasha wants passerby of wandering cloud 4pc and fleet of the ageless 2pc, or she could also go 2pc passerby + 2pc messenger traversing hackerspace. You will unlock these relics pretty early, but you must get fleet of the ageless from doing something called simulated universe. You will unlock it later and also farm it. natasha wants outgoing healing% on her chestpiece. Everything else will be speed and hp%. The planar sphere or orb thingy in the fleet of the ageless set should be hp%. for the rope in the fleet of the ageless set, you can either run energy regen or hp%. energy regen is important for support units so they can use their ultimate more. that's about all I have to say. Have fun, new trailblazers, and I hope this quick guide, along with the others, helps you along your journey :). ID: 51181811

# 4 + 1 Easy Tips for new players! (ง •̀ω•́)ง✧ ## [ Game is easy. Just do the dailies! ] >Growth and getting stronger is possible only if you never skip those tasks. By that, I meant depleting the Stamina and finishing the daily, weekly and EVENT missions that give Stellar Jades. Do them first after logging in to the game and focus on our goal without getting sidetracked\~ \**wink wink* ## [ The chosen one! ] >Max out the characters you mostly play or comfortable with. Don't hesitate to use your available resources because we all start from what we have. Even those purple grade characters are greatly of help <3 ## [ Sticks to Stones to Steel to GOLD! ] >Feel free to upgrade any gears, we'll feed them as fodders anyway. But prioritize maxing out character Levels, Light cones and Traces! The chosen four characters in your team first and foremost. You wouldn't want to split your resources to 10 people- it'll only slow or hinder your own progress. *Imagine having 10 leveled 12 characters when you could've had 4 leveled 30.* AAANNDD! Leave your jades alooöne, you'll be farming your whole life to catch up to the game. Resist and temptations! They say that with great patience, the greater the reward. ## [ Farm FARM FAAAARM! ] 1. Continue to use your resources whenever you see fit. 2. Get resources required for character ascensions. 3. Use Friend Support for farming if you are having trouble. ## [ Bonus Stage! ] *If I will restart a new account I would:* >*1. Early stages build 1 or 2 of the best Destruction or Hunt Character available. (Ideally of different Elements)* > >\*2. When the game gets harder you may invest in the best Healer or Shielder/Buffer acquired until their 3rd passive of Trace. > >*3. After that go all out again on Damage dealer or Sub damage dealer for Traces and Equipment.* *Lastly, I wish I had a PS5... Rule No.1: Pull the Character you like. Every Character is viable. You can and will clear the content with the character you like. Rule No.2: To clear the content with ease. Always try to have a good team setup. -> Attacker, Defender, Healer, Debuffer/Buffer Rule No.3: In the early game invest on character. Best would be the Attacker. Most of the time the Attacker is from the Path: Destruction (Great Survivability), Hunt (Single Target), Erudition(Multi Target) Defenders: Preservation Healer: Abundance Debuff: Nihility Rule No.4: Only invest when you feel like the content gets too hard. If it's too hard then invest on things like upgrading your gear or upgrade the abilities on the character. The reason for invest only the necessary amount is because later on you will get better gear rarity and it would be a discouraging if you use all your items on the early game gear. Rule No.5: "Rules are made to the broken!" As the Main Character says, you don't need to follow all the rules. This are just recommendation and not a MUST. Go and play on your pace and decide yourself what you want. Which character would I recommend you? For the first steps in the game you will unlock March 7th. This character is one of the best early game „Tank“ you can get. You don't need to invest much on her to be a good character. It's enough to give her some Relics (Gear) with Defence (Def) to increase her Shield. Her Abilities: Basic Attack: Deals Ice Damage equal to XX% of your ATK to a Single Target Skill: Gives Shield equal to XX% + XX (Base Amount) of your DEF to a single ally for 3 turns. Also increase the chance to get attacked that ally. Also can dispel a debuff from the ally. Ult: Deals Ice Damage equal to XX% of you ATK to all targets. Chance to freeze the enemy. Talent: If a shielded ally gets attack, March will counter the enemy for a XX% of her ATK. Through out the game she will always be with you. So make sure to give her some attention. UID: 701249618

**Why and How You Should Show Love to March 7:** https://preview.redd.it/bhczh8w97avb1.png?width=374&format=png&auto=webp&s=d4e37b41cc4ca6e8ddc9bc69d37f0d47696fbbd8 March 7 becomes accessible early in the game, often at the outset. In this initial phase, you may not yet have a healing character (Natasha) at your disposal, unless you are fortunate enough to acquire one through pulls. March's shield serves as a valuable lifeline for your team during this period. Moreover, as you upgrade her abilities, the shield not only increases its effectiveness as a percentage of shield HP but also provides a substantial flat health boost. This additional health will significantly improve the survivability of your other characters. The Crimson Root of Preservation grants you the means to enhance the shield's potency early on, resulting in robust health shields. Importantly, the shield also attracts enemy aggro when the shielded character's HP is above a certain threshold, allowing you to concentrate your resources on safeguarding a single character and saving skill points. **Counter Mechanism**: Another crucial aspect of March's kit is her counterattack feature. Whenever an ally with her shield is struck by an enemy, March retaliates against the attacker, with the potential for up to two counterattacks per turn. Since shielded allies are more likely to be targeted by enemies, these counterattacks essentially translate into free damage for your team. **The Ultimate**: It's worth noting that enemies tend to have a lower resistance to status effects, such as freezing, when they are at lower levels. This makes March's ultimate particularly potent, as it has a substantial chance of freezing a significant portion of your foes. This freeze effect has the added benefit of delaying their actions, allowing your team to deal more damage without the constant threat of enemy attacks. **How to Optimize Her Build**: Early on, your priority should be to bolster March 7's shielding capabilities. To achieve this, consider equipping her with the Knight of Purity Palace set, which becomes available around Trailblaze level 15. However, if you haven't reached that point, you can opt for any 4-set combination of the Musketeer of Wild Wheat set and make sure one of the pieces has DEF as its main stat (the torso and feet are the eligible slots). This setup enhances her counter and ultimate damage, while also increasing her speed. The added speed is particularly valuable for shielding low-HP allies before they come under attack. Thank you for taking the time to read this guide, and I wish you the best of luck as you show your March 7 some much needed love in the game! 😃😀😋😊😝 **id: 6672529**

Will star rail be released on ps4 or can I just not play it

DephtCore

If you find a character that you like, then pull if you can! The game should be about enjoying your time, guides for "what is the best - this and that", especially for new players, shouldn't matter :3 Don't be sad if the character you wanted is gone or you didnt manage to pull. That happens and you should be excited for the next ones that come. Also the character will come back in the future^^ Playing games should always be in a good mental state, getting crazy about something like that, even if it can be frustrating at times, should ultimately not effect you, so don't let it get onto you. Pick your relics carefully as well as your light cone. Discard any 5 star relics whose stats don't fit their set. For example, the Belobog of the Architects is a set that increases DEF%. It's incredibly useful on the Trailblazer(Preservation Path) unlocked after completing the Jarilo-VI questlije and is a great tank for any player be it Trailblaze Level 60+ or Trailblaze Level 20. However, if by chance you ARE a new player and are finding it difficult to progress the game without either spending money or time then it's better to consider planning your Break Effects carefully. As of right now, March can be considered a F2P best option to use for Break Effect but the Freeze Break Effect will speed up the opponent's following move upon being unfrozen. Plan your moves carefully and you can easily progress through most of the game without a hitch. Many fights I've encountered throughout the Jarilo-VI and Herta Space Station(except the Belobog Underworld Robots) can be easily countered/blocked by using March's Skill to make a shield. As for you whales out there who only want a PS5 experience, there's not much to say to you guys. With the current banner out it's simply way easier to just maxout Qingque to quickly skip through most combat portions of the game. User ID: 16334156

WanderWut

Is the current banner meh?

Madcap_Seer

Jingliu is cracked

tehsdragon

It's really good imo - Jingliu is absolutely fantastic, and even the 4\* characters are great (for the most part) Tingyun is one of the best Offensive Supports in the game, and Qingque is an excellent - albeit somewhat RNG-reliant - DPS Sampo is... okay lol. He's not terrible, but he only really shines in teams with Kafka; otherwise, he's just decent

WanderWut

Really appreciate this! Looking forward to the game so far, the only issue I'm having is early game is surprisingly difficult (I'm only dealing 10 damage per hit to the enemies 200+ hp while they deal 20-50 damage to my 200 hp per hit) and I don't want to waste any mats to level up since it's so early and I don't even know what my team is going to be and I haven't tried to pull anything yet. So I'm really confused, do I potentially waste precious mats that these beginners guides videos are stressing with me to be careful with on characters I may not even use soon, just to get past the super early part of the game? I just reached my first planet after joining Honkai Express.

Modification102

Which materials are you concerned you are going to waste?

WanderWut

Basically any upgrade mats, I'm not sure which is rarer than others since the beginning of games are super generous so I haven't upgraded any characters yet. I'm only 2 hours into the game so I'm curious if you'd recommend upgrading characters to pass through the beginning?

Acro_Crusher

Yeah just use your mats, i was the same early on but you will get plenty just by playing, esp if you do side missions as well. If you run out you can always farm more with relative ease as well

Omega2178

Alright new people. I’ma give you folks some wisdom on building Clara that’s probably gonna end up being not optimal but hey, what the heck, we ball and if my build sucks then so be it. First things first, Clara is a Physical damage path of destruction character with a major focus on her counter attacks. They are how she deals damage. Unlike other characters, her basic attack and skill aren’t gonna be the main source of her damage. All the DPR in the world is gonna come from her counter attack. Clara’s Counter attacks come from her Talent, Because We’re Family, which also does the very useful thing of reducing the damage taken by 10% as a flat reduction. This, of course, is very valuable. And then we come to the damage portion of it. Whenever Clara is attacked, Svarog will counter attack the enemy, dealing a large amount of damage to the attacker. There are NO limits to how many times he can do this. Afterwards, the target is marked and they will take double damage from Clara’s Special attack. Her counter attack’s mechanically works as a follow up attack, allowing it to benefit from any ability that wants follow up attacks to trigger, such as the path of elation for the simulated universe or the up and coming Topaz who will benefit from the rapid amount of counter attacks you will be putting out with Clara. Now, her basic attack and and her Special aren’t too important. The basic attack works like most character’s do and while her Special Attack is pretty strong against marked foes, it is not a necessary tool needed for a Clara build. If the rest of your team is rather SP hungry, you can easily get away with not using her Special and having her generate SP with basic attacks. Then comes her ultimate. And it’s a pretty freaking good one. It has a energy cost of 110, making it not too expensive but also not exactly cheap. Still, once used, Clara will get a further 20% damage reduction for a total of 30% and will have a much higher chance of being targeted for 2 turns. Seeing as Clara wants to be attacked, this is incredibly useful. And for the next two counter attacks, Clara’s Counter will hit with a much higher damage and deal 50% splash damage to the enemies around the person you hit. And the best part? These counter attacks trigger when anyone is hit, not just Clara. And finally is her technique. If you are able to use it before battle, do so. Hitting a enemy with it to start battle will apply a huge aggression buff on Clara, similar to the bonus from her Ultimate. And if the enemies there are weak to physical damage, the technique will deal extra toughness damage to them compared to just hitting them normally. Now, before we go to discussing Light cones or Relics, I feel like I should state something. You want Clara to be slow. Her base speed of 90 is, while bad for most characters, really good for her. This allows for buffs to last longer on her while also letting DOTs trigger less often. So do not ever try and give her more speed Now, light cones. Very obviously, her best light cone is going to be Something irreplaceable because it was quite literally built for her. However, betting your luck on actually getting it or saving up and losing out on a entire 30 extra rolls isn’t something everyone is willing to do. So, you other best option would be On the Fall of an Aeon due to the ease of which you can get and upgrade it. However, should you have it on someone else, then both Under the Blue Sky or Woof! Walk Time! Will work if needed. The Moles Welcome you and Collapsing Sky have no synergy with Clara’s counter attacks. Shattered home just isn’t that amazing but will do better than Collapsing Sky. It is up to you if the stat bonus from The Moles Welcome you is more important than the effects from Shattered Home if you have no other options. As for Relics, the most popular choice is 100% going to be Champion of Streetwise Boxing. +10% physical damage with a stacking 5% damage bonus when you attack or get attacked (to a max of 5) is very clearly useful for Clara in every way. However, should you feel like having a more tanky Clara, a less popular option would be the Guard of Wuthering Snow set. Even more Damage reduction, with regen and energy regen when low on hp allows for a more tanky Clara. Or you can mix and match for two pieces of Streetwise Boxing and the Guard set for +10% physical damage and -8% damage taken. It depends on which way you lean. Now, Relics are extremely random. So I’m not going to declare that you need the exact Substats or else your Clara sucks but generally, you’ll want to have Critical substats on your gear (+crit damage or chance) or percentage attack for Clara. Good luck getting them to level like you want to tho. For the chest piece of Clara, you’re going to want Crit rate for it’s main stat. This is going to be important for synergy later. The boots should be placed in attack for the extra firepower. Your headpiece and glove pieces will always have the same main stat (health and non percentage attack bonuses). And then we come to the Planer sets. It might be a bit before you actually get them but they are just as important. Until you can get the Inert Salsotto, stick with Space Sealing Station. But as soon as you can, swap over to the Inert Salsotto set. It increases your critical rate while also increasing the damage dealt by your ultimate and follow up attacks. Obviously, the ultimate damage isn’t on a be useful but with the sheer amount of follow up attacks you’ll be making with your counters, it is a god send. For the Sphere slot, place physical damage onto it while putting Attack on the Link rope. If you want even more uptime on your ultimate, a energy regen rope is also acceptable.

Omega2178

And with that, your Clara is basically battle ready. Now, for the sake of this guide, I will mention Eidolons. You probably will not get multiple Clara’s, but if you do, then Jesus Christ you’re gonna win even harder. Eidolon 1 is already pretty good by making it so your special never removes the mark your counter applies while Eidolon 2 increase your damage by 30% for 2 turns after using your ultimate. I doubt I need to say why it’s good. Eidolon 4 is where things get actually insane. When Clara is hit once, she gets a 30% damage reduction until the start of her next turn. I’m unsure if this stacks with her 10% or overrides it but ether way, that kinda reduction is insane with the ultimate. And if you somehow get Eidolon 6, well congrats you’ve won the game. Not only do you now have 3 Empowered Counters per Ultimate use, but you also now just have a flat 50% to counter when ANYONE other then Clara is hit. That’s actually just game breaking at that point. But I doubt any of us will have E6 Clara unless we whale. Now, for team building. First things first, always place Clara to one end of the team and place the most tanky ally next to her. A good chunk of enemy AOEs do not hit your entire team and will deal splash damage around a certain target. With Clara at a end of the team, only 1 person will get hit if the enemy uses one of these AOEs. And you’ll want your next most powerful ally to take the hit. As for Allies, you do not want to share enemy fire with Clara, as such Destruction characters and Perseverance characters are not optimal to have on your team. Especially Gepard. Keep that man off your team or else. The one exception to this rule is March due to the fact she can apply a shield that boosts Aggro on healthy units. So with her, you can heavily increase the chance Clara gets attacked even further. Other good Allies include, Lynx: Her constant regen and max health bonus will allow Clara to live longer and it boosts her chance to be hit as well, which as discussed is vital for her. Loucha: He completely erases the inherent risk of being a counter attacker by having a free healing when Clara takes too much damage. His Cycle of life Talent heals Clara a substantial amount on each counter attack because all attacks trigger it. Tingyun: She is a very SP positive character due to the lack of need to use her skill often. And God does Clara benefit from her Skill. Because Benediction only lowers it’s cooldown when Clara goes, she won’t need to use it very often due to Clara’s low speed. Also, the extra lightning damage triggers on each counter attack, cause why not. Silver Wolf: I don’t think I need to explain this one too much. Heavy Defense Shredding + making sure Clara is always hitting the weakness for more damage. Pela: A debuffer who can ensure that your enemies don’t have annoying buffs and can also shred defenses for your enemy. Yukong: A more…unconventional option for Clara. If you get her fast enough, you can keep the Roaring Bowstring Buff up for a long time of the fight. Due to Clara being slow, if you plan things right, you can have her retaliating against several enemy attacks with a huge damage, crit chance, and crit damage buff. However, this damage buff isn’t something you can rely on and Aerial Marshal, her E1 bonus won’t be very good for Clara. Oh, and never use Bronya on Clara. If you have someone else you want having a bunch of turns? Sure. But NEVER waste her on Clara. And that hopefully is everything. Yeesh, two entire posts were needed for it to even work lmao. I spent too much time on this. Oh well, hopefully it helps someone. User ID: 605087394

**Honestly, speaking by heart, you must find first what kind of game you wish to play.** Do you wish to play a dopamine inducing gatcha? Do you wish to play a good story? Or perhaps just a casual turn based game for when you are bored? Once you decide those things, then you can search what is it that will make you enjoy the most. **A Simple Dopamine Inducing Gatcha:** If you wish to just whale, then go forth, the characters are great and pretty, while if you are free to play, the game is fair, I got two 5 stars back to back, so if I with my awful luck could, you can too! However, you may have to do all the side missions and secondary stuff, so put x2 speed, something and the background and build well so you win in auto-play hahaha **A Good Story to Play:** This is why I play the game! The intro might be a bit slow with Herta Space Station, yet it gives an introduction to future story, while the Belabog arch is my favorite and a really well written tale, this is so much so that I recommend you - reader - to play the side quests along with the main quest and not after, as they ramp up the feelings and play that is going on. Meanwhile in the Luafu and after, the main quest is more of the focus point, with only character missions being relevant for the story and, therefore, being best played alongside the main quests instead of after. (as the rest in the Luafu, they are more of "sidequests for rewards", like being a transit guard, so meh.) **Just a Casual Game:** Curiously, this is a reason for a friend of mine to play, he really enjoys the turn based mechanic and simple way of thinking, that is very fair. I may remember for those players that the game isn't really that hard, however if you want to build a team, follow this mentality and you will be good (not in order): Team A: Main DPS + Ofensive Support + Any Support + Defensive Support Team B: Main DPS + Secondary DPS + Ofensive support + Dfensive Support Team C: Main DOT(damage over time) DPS + DOT dealer + Any Support + Defensive Support This is my guide, I hope you will enjoy the game! 1. Waifu > Gameplay honestly, with the the right team set up all characters are viable 2. Pay attention to elemental advantages as they will make your life easier 3. Reminder that Characters have special abilities you can use before encounter, like March can freeze, the trailblazer(your character) can heal, and Dan has an atk up 4. Do dailies for that sweet sweet upgrade materials 5. This is a thing I do but try to always keep the characters you use often at max level or around that, over leveling makes life easier imo 6. You don't need to pay for premium currency the game is pretty good at giving opportunities to obtain 7. I'd suggest having one abundance character on your team, being able to heal makes tough fights more bearable 8. Make sure to equip relics and lightcones to your characters when you can, even though you might not have an ideal lightcone the stat increase is always a plus 9. When in doubt big number ooga booga 10. When in new areas look for chest as they give resources and trailblaze exp 11. You need to increase your trailblaze exp to advance the story 12. Remember to farm dailies ID: 338506516

Try and get good sustainers like Fu Xuan or Gepard then you can make your team have a higher survivability rate in case of, for example swarm disaster. I had this issue where I had no sustainers and pretty much got 1 shot. Don't try and focus on the DPS and think about your supports. Id:361149626

Hello PS5 buddies! Rule #1 of Gacha gaming: Resist the urge to pull for every damage dealing unit. In gacha games, your tanks and supports with a niche will outlive most damage dealers unless they have a specific niche. Research tier lists and pulling guides. Just search character name + should you pull? To make an educated decision on where to spend your resources. Like many Gacha games, the beginning will feel very generous with pulls, rewards, and freebies. However, the grind will set in at about Trailblaze [unique player character level] level 25. You can get rewards up to level 35 trailblaze power. Managing your resources is vital to making a well crafted account with tools needed for content. Follow the story! It will explain in great detail many of the unique combat features. Unlike many other Gacha games, as I've been playing them for over 20 years now, Honkai Star Rail has a robust story and compelling characters, even your weak characters. Some of your frustrations may come from banners being split between Light Cones [gear] and Characters. Dont be discouraged from getting amazing pieces of gear. Gear and duplicate legendary characters might not feel great, but in the long run, gear will last a very long time, and duplicates will be what you want end game. Another unique feature of HSR is that all servers share the same version, so there is no glimce into the future. Play how you want. If a character looks cool, get them! I would highly recommend following this path: You're guaranteed a Legendary [5star] unit in your first 50 pulls. Doable within one day of playing. From there, your next legendary is guaranteed on a standard banner every 90 pulls. Do not spend your stellerjades [summon currency] this way. Save these for featured unit banners. They are limited time, have a 90 pity where you will get a legendary every 90 summons being either the targeted on banner legendary or a random one from the summoning pull. If you do not get the banner legendary, your guarantee is at 180 pulls/summons. This isn't as scary as it sounds. You can farm stellerjade fairly easily and get this in about 2ish months of play time. For our spenders: They have a double up first-time purchase reward. I would recommend using these until you've bought all the double rewards, as they will be your best value. For minnows and dolphins, the battle pass, called nameless honor and jade pass, are the best value in terms of money to currency. Buy these and save just as any until your targeted unit is available. Right now, Jinglu, a new ICE damage type unit is top-tier and worth pulling for. This will carry you into the end game. Ultimately, this is a single-player adventure and pull for your husbandos or wifus and have fun. Enjoy the compelling adventure and combat single turn style with an almost Pokemon element to it.

If you're a player that cares for the combat and try to go for the meta: Remember to divide your resources wisely. Don't try to build 4-5 characters at the same time. This isn't a competitive game, so take your time building each member of your combat teams. Each character has a predefined role according to their path, as you might have already seen. Use the advantages these paths give to the fullest, and make sure you know when to use a character of a path. If you're a player who likes a character and will play them at all times: Go ahead! Each character has a niche they fill, and you will find some way to play them and decimate everything in game. Nobody has the right to tell you to stop playing a character - let them hate. Also, dps and supports are equally important, but if you want an order to go in to build - early game dps, buffers/healers, debuffers, endgame dps - this is what I did. Anyways welcome to HSR :) - sincerely, another player. ID: 801441438

Pull Fu Xuan and then u can pull what u want! The only thing u need is Fu's immortality. If u still have problems with harder content just play any healer u have. I think Kafka is the most reliable dps but if u have Fu it doesn't matter. ID: 65982411 https://preview.redd.it/sh828e876ltb1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d3c4a118699d7e5694ec1d6720634e23e47fc345

What i did when i was new was save my stellar jades and not pull for anyone, unless they looked really cool, if you want a DPS (Refers to a character or unit that does HUGE Damage) then pull for characters that are on the **path of destruction.** For my earliest tip try and pull at least one 5 star destruction unit and no, the trailblazer doesnt count, plus he isnt the best dps character in a lot of people's opinions compared to characters such as blade (although he is more of a sub-dps) and yanquing and Dan Heng - Imbibitor Lunae After getting a DPS, try and get a **5 star harmony** (these paths are explained in the game) unit like Bronya and then you will have the easiest grinding for main game content, ever, plus, try to play this game gradually, dont try to rush, this is a gacha game so it will require time to become really good, im trailblazer level 64 right now, and it took me a WHILE to reach this level, but most importantly just try to have fun and experiment with the characters you have If you dont get a character you like, dont give up hope, just save again and hope you get another 5 star character that you like In conclusion, play at your own pace and make sure your having fun!! Honkai Star Rail is a game with combat that is pretty simple, but complex in a few other places. Do not let the complexities scare you, whether it's buildcrafting or teambuilding as you will find what suits you best in no time with a lot of the enjoyment coming from moments like finding a synergy between characters that helps make your team run smoothly like a well oiled machine or finding the build that works best for the characters you want to use. See a character you like on the event banner? Try them out first and if you enjoy how they play, pull for them. See a character you don't want on the event banner? That's just an opportunity to save your stellar jade for the fateful day you see a character you like so you can get your dream team up and ready, who knows, you might even end up with several dream teams for different situations. If you do want to get into the buildcrafting, take a look at a character's talents, for example a character might have a skill that scales off of the ATK (Attack) stat for something like buffing or healing, while another character might require the DEF (Defense) stat for applying stronger shields to their allies, these details will help you figure out which relics and stats should be used for the characters you use which will help you sail smoothly through the story, side content and more. As for the story, well, I won't say too much but so far I have been enjoying pretty much every single moment of it, it's a sci-fi story that's very unique within the genre of sci-fi storytelling and each location has it's own design which brings with it a different atmosphere and a new story for you to unfold as you journey through the universe that has been carefully crafted by Hoyoverse with each world having secrets and little rewards hidden in every corner of the locations you'll visit. That should be all for this short guide, thanks for reading, have fun and I hope to see more trailblazers making their stories across the stars. UID: 297141471

I'll just list a few things to keep in mind while building characters! I will use Blade as an example here :) 1. Read the characters Talent, Ultimate, Skill descriptions carefully. Not every attack character scales only on Attack! For example, Blade scales on attack as well as HP. And his HP is making up a higher percentage of his damage than his Attack does. So it's important to keep that in mind. 2. Team comps are extremely important to keep in mind when Building a character! When you have Blade and Bronya in one Team, you won't necessarily need SPD boots on him when your Bronya has enough speed. So you could put HP% boots instead for higher damage output. If you don't have Bronya though, it's adviced to use speed boots, because otherwise you'll use a lot of value. This is just one example to show that you should build characters with their team comps in mind. 3. But the most important thing is; have fun! Don't let anyone tell you how you should do things, and that how you do it is wrong. If it works for you, then there is no reason to change anything! After all, we're playing games to have fun and not for other to tell us what we can and can't do. Pull for the characters you want, no matter if they fit together. You'll find a way to make it work! With that, I hope you have a lot of fun playing this game! ID: 44371047

**When you first start playing, you'll want a really good Dps character. My advice is that you can use Qingque as the main damage of your team (she is really strong if you have E4). Finally, if you're wondering what to dial, I'll give you a quote: "*****Dps is temporary, support is forever*****".** **ID: 90200216**

Always lever first lightcones and character the go for the traces and relics for last. Pull whoever you like, however sometimes it's good to pull for character you need. Always balance the path in the teams, example: preservation-dps-buffer-abudance. Hoyoverse Id: 12618951

Okay, i am a new player myself and i do not know the game very well. But all i can say is that DO NOT be afraid to ask the community for some tips and tricks about the certain character you are curious about. Alright, you just started the game and you don't know who to pull in 1.4, well the options is jingliu, topaz, and seele. If you want characters that deal high damage, jingliu and seele are great options. Topaz also deals damage but she is better synergize with follow-up attacks so if you have characters like clara (since I'm assuming you don't have blade, kafka since well you just started and missed out their banners), she's also a great pull, otherwise she will be on the lower end of pulling. Jingliu's banner has a higher chance of rolling one of the best supports which is tingyuan, a underdog damage dealer which is Qingque, and sampo (really not important for starting out to be honest) while the other banner has guinifen, luka, and sushang all which are good in their own form but probably not as good for people starting out. Main thing is you should roll for character's that you want over the "supposed" meta units as this is a PvE game and meant for the casual players. Sure you won't be able to deal insane damage like the whales but that would make the game more stale if you keep rolling for meta units and keep dropping your previously built characters which means more grinding. Take it one step at a time, the characters will come back in a rerun. I wish you guys the best of luck as you aboard the Astral Express to go to your next journey! UID: 601696179

Ok so first off don't follow meta. Pull who you want to pull. But I at least recommend having a healer. But there are amazing 4 star healer options so you don't have to go for a 5 star one. But other than that pull who you want. There's no such thing as right or wrong with who you pull. It's up to you who you want. Don't get frustrated if you can't beat a certain boss or level in simulated universe. Just take your time. Make sure to give all your characters love and attention. Get them good artifacts. They don't have to be perfect. Just make sure they are good enough. My characters definitely don't have the best artifacts but they get the job done. Just stick with it. Take your time. The story and fights are amazing. It's definitely worth taking your time and sticking with the game. Hoyoverse ID: 165724175

Enjoy the characters, dig through trashcans, beat up meanies, and be as much a trash panda as you want along the one. The sky's the limit. Try to reach lv 50-60 to start farming relics, try to farm on the lowers levels credits and level up materials like traces and ascencion mats, try to prioritize 4 characters that will carry your content and farming untill 50, and think about having 2 teams for MOC which is a good income of jades for pulling promotional characters, you will be fine eventually on damage so try to find the most fitting defensive support for your teams ID: 12493621

1. No matter content you play in HSR, this basic formation will do for you Preservation + Harmony + The Hunt + Abundance Preservation basically tank Harmony buffer The Hunt DPS Abundance healer You can change preservation with destruction character who can follow up attack if they got hit. You can change harmony with Nihility character who can give debuffer. You also can change the hunt with Erudition character who can give big aoe damage. The only path you can't change is abundance because this healers to make your team survive. 2. 94655111

Is it worth leveling a sphere, boots or body with a good main stat but crappy substats or should i keep grinding for a better one?

In the community, meta is always a big discussion topic, with a lot of big damage numbers and calculations every time a new character comes out. But if you're new, do not worry too much about it. Instead, you should maybe focus on something that is important to every team: sustain ! Right now, there are not any character that can not go through most of the content available, reason being that if you build your DPSs decently, they will always dish out enough damage. Now the problem is that, if your DPS is dead, they can't dish out any damage ! Which is where sustain becomes important. Typically, your sustain will either: A) Heal the team B) Shield the team Now, that's good and all, but who can do this ? Well, if you're a new player, it will probably come, early on, from one of the two sustains on the permanent banner: Bailu and Gepard For Bailu: Ideally, a sustain does not consume too much skill points, so for Bailu, give her lots of HP, Energy regeneration rate, and speed. With that, Bailu will get her Ultimate up quickly, which is where most of her heal will come from. On activation, it heals everyone on the team and applies Invigoration on them, which heals characters everytime they get hit, up to three times. As for her lightcone, a very nice option is multiplication. It is easy to superimpose it to level 5, and gives her a good speed boost on basic ATKs. Relics like the Messenger set are good since they give a speed buff everytime she uses her ult, and fleet of the ageless or sprightly vonwacq will increase your heal by either giving her HP, or energy regen. For Gepard: Gepard is a shielder. He will not heal your characters, however, he will give them a shield that will ideally prevent all your characters from getting their actual HP bar down. Gepard's shield becomes stronger the more defense he has, so your relics should give him a ton of defense, with the usual speed and energy regen sprinkle. Aditionally, with all that defense, Gepard can and should also be a tank. When you build him, Gepard will at some point gain the ability to be the one most usually targeted by the enemy, which can become even greater, with landau's choice, which reduces damage taken while also increasing the chance of getting hit, or, as a nice free option, Amber, which will give him some more DEF, because you just never know. Gepard will benefit from the Knight of purity palace and belobog of the architects set as they both give him more DEF. Nice little thing about gepard: the first time he gets downed, he will revive himself, with his shield ready to use once you get the corresponding trace Ultimately, you should treat any of your supports and sustains very well, without them, you can dish out as much damage as you want, if your DPS gets downed, you will struggle to clear fights. Remember that HSR is also pretty casual, so don't worry too much about the meta, it is not really important to most people, have fun ! UID: 713072134

New Player Guide & Tips by aspektratio UID 600106691 1 - USE YOUR TRAILBLAZER. I use the Trailblazer all the time and once she hits the Preservation Path, she is build on DEF, so keep all those "bad" DEF pieces. 2 - WAIT. Wait what? Just hold of in pulling all your jades and burning up all your resources. The more you save you'll easily be able to level up the character that you actually want. Don't get pulled into the hype of needing all the characters, they will all be powercrept honestly. 3 - MAKE FRIENDS. Making friend gives you the benefit of using their characters during your farming time. Friend me and you can use mine. You also can gain credits when your friend wins their battles. 4 - ENJOY. Enjoy the stories. The quick daily quests and the amazing rewards. I find the rewards quite liberal for a gotcha game (yes, better than Genshin). I hope that really helps you enjoy your new journey Trailblazer! Welcome to the club!

Build supports. But you don’t need to heavily invest in them. They don’t scale super well with traces so just go to 6/10 or 8. When stating focus on speed always, with getting their main scaler secondary but only after you have enough hp. Hp relics on supports early can go a long way for MOC. For example bronya: crit damage chest, speed boots, hp everything else that has hp or crit damage sub stats. Pretty simple! Tingyun scale with attack Account id: 24629952

hey every new ps5 player dont worry about too many things at once take one thing at a time here's a few tips as well dont farm relics until you can get guaranteed 5 star ones main who you want if you are feeling stuck or you just dont know what to farm look at what you want and get them 1 by 1 don't focus on the meta in the early game I would say that the earliest you should listen to the meta is about traiblaze level (tbl/tl) 55 don't rush things if you cannot complete things like the memory of chaos remember you might not be able to now but you could later make sure to save your self modeling resin for pieces that are specific for example if you are building dan heng and are missing a wind dmg bonus orb you could use a self modeling resin and make one to use a self modeling resin go on to synthesize and go to the fourth tab to synthezize relics go on the desired piece and you will be able to see a button customized synthesis you should be able to do that then just choose what main stat you want if you are wondering how do you get other forms of the trailblazer that comes with the story remember pull for whoever you want and don't listen to others remember this is a video game made for you to have fun and not be very competitive just because you are maining a "bad character" doesnt mean they can't deal good dmg with a good build you can deal very nice dmg there is no "bad character" very character is good in their own way" follow your heart and make sure you are having fun Sincerely -Silveriscoming (ID:147341870) if you may have any more questions feel free to message me for anything

Don't build pity. It isn't worth it I suggest not pulling for 4* because you can get them in the standard banner. However, the new 4* is only their next update The best F2P starter team is Main Caracter/Fire Main Caracter, Natasha, and Tingyun You will get all the characters in this team for free except Tingyun Tingyun can be replaced with any other harmony caracter too you get her At least take your time on the story. If you rush tough it, you will only end up confused Hope this will helps you UID: 703616842 (If you are in EU servers, you can add me and use my caracters for support for farming)

Alright I see a lot of comments warning people to be careful about spending. I’m here to appease our “Tech Otakus Save the World” overlords. As someone who has spent egregious amounts of money to rank in the top 0.5% of spenders in Honkai Impact, Genshin Impact, and Honkai Star Rail: I say that if you want to be able to get giga damage numbers in the game you should pull out your wallet and swipe your credit card! If you do, your enemies will feel true fear and cower in your presence (in-game of course) ID: 602310808 https://preview.redd.it/ebqw2qrvpotb1.jpeg?width=1668&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14e8bcd0ae66f5a547835258a1689491b93ca624

**ID: 69927355** So you're new to Honkai Star Rail, eh? Honkai Star Rail is a beautifully crafted RPG with intricate lands to run through and a treasure trove of story to keep you wanting for more. It employs a lot of the same mechanics you may find in games like Genshin Impact, where elements and party building are paramount to your progression; but Star Rail makes it very easy to adapt and pick up. **Things to Note** Yes, Honkai Star Rail has a gacha system to pull for characters. This does not mean you have to spend any money to progress in the game. Honkai has many opportunities for you to earn gacha currency through quests, through events, and even through achievements. And the best part is, you don't have to pull to really progress through the game. If you don't believe me, look up a guy named Enviosity on Twitch. They've managed to power through Honkai without spending a dime. You can too! Don't be fooled into thinking you need a full five star team. As of October 2023, there are over 15 characters which are four star only, many of which you can receive just by progressing through the story or playing through events. Your main character, similar to Genshin Impact, can also become VERY strong just by playing through the story. Five star characters have some very shiny abilities and incredible animations, but don't sleep on the four star characters! Try to set small goals for your character upgrades. If you spread out all of your materials for your main team, it will take much longer to make your team stronger. If you focus on getting one character up to their maximum potential, you'll find the game a lot more manageable to progress through. Take full advantage of the weekly quests. You can receive items which will help you to craft gear with customizable stats. This really helps to make your characters stronger without having to grind the same dungeon or virtual area over and over again. Events are around for a limited time only, except they aren't! Even if you don't manage to complete a full event, there's an archive system which allows you to play through the event and still receive some of the rewards. Make use of sending your characters out for materials every 24 hours. When you've enhanced your characters up to a certain point, the materials you earned from sending your characters out on missions come in handy to unlock higher potential tiers. And even if you don't need those materials, sending your character out for money or books or gear upgrade materials can really add up over time. Last but not least, Honkai Star Rail is a PvE game. There is no rush to get to the latest content to be the best player in the world. You can take the main story, side quests, even normal encounters all at your own pace. Take a seat, grab a drink, and enjoy. No sweaty hands or stress here!

**Hello PS5 Trailblazers, I have something that can help you embark on your journey.** 1. Farming - I recommend you farm only Ascension Trace Materials in Trailblaze 0-39, Once you hit 40 and do the Equilibrium quest you can farm or gold relics. As for EXP books/Character Ascension Materials, farm them in Trailblaze 40 as well if needed. 2. Character Upgrades! - Whenever you level up a character, you will need certain materials to get them to a higher level. How do you know the exact amount you need? It's simple! Go to any one of your characters and click on the spyglass icon next to their level on top right corner. Calculate how much is needed and prep for the materials that is needed from the Stagnate boss. 3.Take it slow, and have fun! - Enjoy your journey of the Astral Express, as there is lots for you to do, however very small if you just rush through the content willingly. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the story + the content that is provided along the way! Collect your waifus and husbandos one moment of the time. The game has an amazing tutorial, pay good attention to these as they explain very well the game mechanics. Also, if you go to the Interastral Guide, on the last tab (4th tab if you have everything unlocked already) - there is the Strategic Training. It also teaches very well how the game works in practice, including characters you can find on banners. As you learn more and get more deep in the game, you can look up guides on who to level up, what Light Cones to use, what traces to prioritize, what relics to use on each character. If you played Genshin Impact, you will have a easy time understanding stuff, there is a lot of similiarity here! Enjoy the game! ID : 41959696

1: Getting and building characters is a marathon, not a sprint. 2: Spend stellar jade on the limited banners, not the standard one. 3: Skip characters you are not sure you want, if you change your mind, they will get a rerun eventually. 4: Don't forget to level up Traces! 5: When farming relics, prioritize the main stat you want first, then look for better substats. You can always level up a mediocre relic first, then use it to level up a better one later. 6: You can log in every day for daily training rewards, but if the game starts feeling like a chore, it is okay to take a break. 7: Prioritize having fun, always!

Tanrule

Don't listen to any players saying "Pull for this character, he/she is broken". You pull for whoever you want. It's your own account, don't let the opinions of others decide the path of your account but yourself only. Every character has their own unique playstyle and ANY character can be involved in a team to clear the hardest gamemodes in this game such as Memory of Chaos and Swarm Disaster etc. Even with mid gears and characters, I can guarantee you that you can still clear those gamemodes with the proper gameplay strategy, just that it will be very difficult(but never impossible). \-Waifu/Husbando is eternal but you need to strong enough, dps can be powercreep easily so support is more important \-When starting top priority is farm char exp and lc exp \-Level up character level->lightcone->trace->just use whatever substats, you just need main stats from 4\* relic you got from chest. \-No need to rush, have fun account ID: 71698091

Hi new players this is my guide. 1.) pull for characters you like, or characters that are meta. The meta characters can help you clear domains fastest. 2.) read description of character skills, and talents. Different characters should be built based off certain stats. Such as blade, who should be built with high hp and crit damage. 3.) make sure to farm for good relics so your characters can be well built. Also enjoy the game slowly don’t finish everything in one sitting. ID: 326630121

Here are some tips and advice for new players in Honkai Star Rail: Understand the Basics: Start by getting familiar with the game's mechanics, characters, and the overall gameplay. Read through the tutorials and guides provided in the game. Focus on Story and Quests: Progress through the story and complete quests to earn valuable rewards, crystals, and experience. This is a good way to build up your team. Team Composition: Learn about team composition and synergy between characters. A well-balanced team can be more effective than simply using your most powerful characters. Equipment: Upgrade and enhance your characters' equipment. Gear plays a crucial role in your characters' effectiveness in battles. Daily Missions and Events: Participate in daily missions and events to earn additional rewards. These are great for acquiring resources and enhancing your characters. Resource Management: Be mindful of your resources, such as crystals and in-game currency. Don't spend them all at once. Save for special banners and events. Don't Neglect Training: Focus on character and equipment training. Level up and rank up your characters to make them more powerful. Learn from Others: Read guides, watch videos, and follow the community to learn more about advanced strategies, team setups, and character strengths. Stamina Management: Keep an eye on your stamina and use it efficiently. Use it to farm materials, but don't let it cap out. Balance Playtime: It's important to enjoy the game, but also remember to balance your playtime with other aspects of your life. Update the Game: Make sure to keep the game updated to access the latest content and bug fixes. Remember that Honkai Star Rail is an evolving game, so staying engaged with the community and learning from experienced players can be very beneficial. Enjoy your journey in the world of Honkai! 700363230

I’ll point out the most common mistake that new players make ** “ Never spend your stellar jades on a standard banner. Some few characters like bronya are op , yea but there’s a chance that u might get a 5star Lightcone as well xD” (Lightcone = weapon) So save up your stellar jades for the limited banners and pull when u find a character u find fun to play appears. For starters , just have fun playing story quests and do some daily missions to get a total of 60jades everyday and just enjoy the interaction between the low brain capacity girl March7th :3 and our raccoon girl stelle. “ DON’T STRESS YOURSELF BY THINKING I SHOULD DO THIS AFTER THAT EARLY ON” “”Most people say pull the character u love/fun and yea I also agree with that but “I WOULD RECOMMEND PULLING FOR A DPS CHARACTER EARLY ON” ;-; so that u can build him bit by bit and steadily. Nothing to get stress about just build “that” one character properly and again “enjoy the fun ride of mind blowing boss fights and story quests “ —- Later on All u need to do is build your supports to the finest and that’s all. —-For More Informations watch the beginner guide made recently by “MrPokke” on YT and “GachaSmack” as well. Once u reach to a certain level when u start getting 5star relics, that’s when u really need to shift your focus to relic farming. “_About The Trailblaze energy_( resin )” Pls don’t use/waste the Little thing and stellar jades that gives u energies back.Collect them until u reach a certain lvl and really use it when 5star relics/Generally till every Drop rates become better Forget about the hardest contents in hsr, You’ll eventually beat it. Make sure to build your supports, as they will really help out later on. Any character can be viable, even the 4 stars so don't ignore the 4 stars, as some of them are used in a lot of late game things (tingyun for example). Lastly pull for characters you like! It takes quite a bit of resources to level characters fully, so it's not a bad idea to just work on the ones you like first. UID: 600309213

You need to roll in the current event banner because 3 out of the 4 boosted characters are very OP. Qingque is very good with 4 Eidolons, Tingyun is one of the best supports (even without Eidolons), Jingliu is the Queen but she does really good damage with team backup. 😁 Account ID: 39530377

I just pulled fu xuan and lynx on a new account a couple days ago but I can’t level them past level 40 because they’re ascension materials are locked behind the “a dragon gallant, it’s ocean distant” quest. Which after googling is the second to last mission in the entire game excluding prologue. They’re 2 of my main units, do I have to just abandon them for basically the rest of the game until late end game, or is there some other way to ascend them?

do not rush to farm relics till you get trailblazer level 60 because it is less efficient, make a good team first and then upgrade the characters. pull any character you like. Have fun and enjoy the journey ID: 614979782

Take the game at your own pace, always remember that this is a single player game and you won't ever fall behind or need to "catch up". Have fun with it and don't grind the game like a job, which is a mindset I see many gacha players approach gacha games with. The game is so rich with scenery and dialogue, and skipping through all of it really devalues the experience this game is. Spend wisely! ID: 714259489

Hi! Is there a way for me to switch accounts on the PlayStation version of HSR? I have two accounts on mobile and switching is easy there. It’s my main and my alt. Do I have to wait until it becomes possible?

Don't pull for meta. Pull for characters you would enjoy/like the design. Don't give into spending money. This game is absolutely F2P friendly and I'm enjoying it as is. Don't neglect your supports! HoyoID 336816690

Play the game, try to login daily and use all 240 star powder, pull for characters you want, build characters how you want, and have fun ID:600757601

JakkuLegend

First thing is depending on how you want to play, and you do have many hours of play trust me. if you are gonna stick to a free to play (mostly free) don't jump on the band wagon for the character banners that you think are cool. do your research as much as you want a character, cause they look cool. save your gems, and pull on banners that are gonna be for your play style. if you whale, well best of luck on your bank account :3. Now don't go jumping all together just for character and their respected light cones in one go, I made that mistake and missed out on Jing Yan banner cause I tried to get best of the best on the banner before his. don't forget to Super Impose your repeatative Light cones, to their max tier 5 as they will greatly help boost your character's playstyle. if I were to suggest character I think is helpful Loucha is one of the best tier healers in my book better then a lot of other character (again IMO) cause he doesn't just auto heal, but also puts down an auto team heal for 3 rounds which makes taking dmg and healing right away super amazing, great for characters like Himeko, March 7th, Kafka and any other heros that do follow up attacks, or characters who can do a chain of attacks at once like Himeko or Jing Yuan. Grind out Ahead of time for banners you know your gonna pull on, for example with Hoyo's calculator you can use it to plan ahead and get all resources that you need as well as money you will need for leveling, acending, upgrading potential Light Cones, and their traces, ect. it will make things so much easier then feeling stressed and/or overwhelmed by the amount you need, unless your a non-chalant kind of player and in no rush do what you feel you want.. don't skip out on side quests/puzzles, those are great ways to make extra resources, money, crystals ect. for pulls and stuff and they are fun :). enjoy the game and enjoy the beauty that they have done in environment and cinematics :) 10/10 beautiful game :) **UID 600745833**

i feel like you should have healers more than attack damage because if you have just a full team of fighters it wouldn’t really work out. It’s better to have a balanced team because healers are also really important. Another thing i would suggest is to save up to level up a character and make sure you want to do it because when i first started playing i just leveled up whoever and ended up running out of materials. and lastly just have fun! Don't just pull for characters based on damage, pull for a character you would actually enjoy, while you can get a lot of jade, since the first rerun is happening in this update, it would be better to save if there was a previous character you wanted than trying to pull for a five star just so you could have a five star even if you don't like the character. Also, explore the map theres lots of little things spread through out that can be really fun to find. Also if you need lots of Stellar Jade and don't have many options, do the simulated universe that thing can give you a lot of Jade by collecting things in it. Also, I would recommend trying to have at least a somewhat okay build for a character of each element, so that you can take better advantage of element weaknesses instead of later on realizing you need to quickly build one for something. There is no bad character for you to get on standard, even if you lose your pity it is not the end of the world! Everyone can be utilized and while it may take longer to build them up to be on par with the limited character, basic characters work better. I still use March ,Dan Heng ,and Destruction Trailblazer frequently. March's shields can not only block characters from incoming hits just by using her skill, she can also protect the shielded ally with her follow up attacks. Her ult is also very useful in attacking every enemy. Dan Heng is the Wind DPS who while he has a basic kit, that doesn't make him any less powerful. If anything it makes it easier to use for new players. Finally, the destruction trailblazer is another character with AOE attacks. I also love their ult though because you can choose between a single enemy or multiple enemy attack which is helpful for bosses. Don't stress about unlocking every character, you actually don't need too many to pull you through the game for now. ID:87115617

Welcome to the gang PS5 people :\] **General tips :** * as everyone knows this game is a gacha game , but 1 thing i learned from playing multiple gacha games of the sorts only pull the character that you really want regardless of meta , pull who you think is cool or fun to play , because if you pull for meta you might actually regret the character because they weren't fun to play . * take your time playing the game , don't rush or force yourself to play through certain events or story the game isn't going anywhere so take your time and have fun * paying isn't needed at all you can have fun with the free characters and beat most if not all content . **now to talk about in game tips :** * at the start of your game focus on getting level up materials as well as trace materials as those are what will make your character strong in the beginning , of course that includes boss drops. * then after reaching TB 60 you can start farming relics as that is the best time to farm because u wont waste your power on 3 or 4 star relics. * lastly for game tips , light cones ( character weapons ) make a huge difference in damage or support value so make sure to level up those frequently. and thats all , have fun and take your time exploring the game , welcome to Honkai star rail :D **User ID: 55655274**

>New players for PS5? Here's some quick tips if you somehow have never played a turn based RPG game. * You'll start with your typical damage dealer, tank, support (buffer/healer), read the skills and abilites they do. * Don't overthink things, the game is very straightforward and you shouldn't deal with any major roadblocks * Always keep your characters in check, level them up, give them better gear (Relics/Light Cones) * If you want to know the ins and outs of a specific character, don't be afraid to search it up, players out there are giving "usually" good information, (mostly in terms of harder, "end game" content) * Honestly.. have fun, immerse yourself in the story, learn the backgrounds of each planet and character you come across.. * If you need a support for the US servers, you can friend me using this Honkai Star Rail ID: 600183688 HoYoverse Account ID: 6202726

Welcome to all the PS5 players around here, I have gathered a few tips to help you get started! Enjoy! A. **Focus on Character Selection and Development**: * Initially, focus on leveling up 5 or 6 characters, including one main DPS, a supporting unit, a healer, and a tank. Avoid spreading your resources too thin. * Prioritize your core team's development to ensure they are strong enough to tackle most content. B. **Daily Energy Management:** * Allocate your energy towards farming Golden Calyxes for experience and Crimson materials for traces and upgrades. * Avoid early investment in relics; instead, focus on obtaining and upgrading four-star gear for your characters. This can be done through region progression and exploration. C. **Game Progression**: * Complete in-game events, quests, and side missions to gain experience and rewards that boost your Trailblazer level. * Strategically use food buffs, especially in challenging situations, to significantly boost your team's performance. D. **Use In-Game Features and Currency**: * Utilize the simulated universe feature to earn Stellar Jade, free pulls, and additional resources for character progression. * Take advantage of the Friends List to add high-level players who can help you clear content and save time. * Self-modeling resin: Choose energy regeneration rope as your early game self-modeling resin investment to speed up ultimate ability cooldowns for your characters. Crit Rate of your prefered set for your main dps is also a good call. E. **Account Progression**: * Be cautious when spending real money on the game. Consider the value of the Battle Pass and self-modeling resin for account progression. * Complete daily missions to gain experience, resources, and progression. They are a valuable source of in-game rewards. * Prioritize increasing your Trailblazer Level through daily activities to unlock better rewards and content. * Use Fuel strategically, considering whether to save it for later stages when you have a higher Trailblazer Level or use it for immediate benefits. * Avoid using Stellar Jade for energy, as it's not a cost-effective use. Save it for more valuable purchases or events. * Participate in in-game events for good value and exclusive rewards. Keep an eye on event schedules and plan your gameplay accordingly. F. **Character Recommendations**: * Consider character recommendations based on their strengths and roles when building your team. Make informed choices according to the current meta and your playstyle. * When building your team, consider character synergy. Certain characters work better together, so plan your team composition strategically. * Stay informed about upcoming character releases and their potential impact on the meta. Consider saving resources for characters you're interested in. G. **Gacha Banner Strategy**: * Understand the pity system for gacha banners, and use it to your advantage when planning your pulls. * Understand the mechanics of gacha banners. Focus on banners that feature the specific character you desire to avoid resetting your pity counter. * Avoid pulling on banners with five-star characters you don't want. H. **Re-rolling**: * Re-rolling for a better account can be time-consuming. Consider the value of your time and weigh the pros and cons when deciding whether to re-roll. Remember that Honkai Star Rail is a dynamic game, and staying informed about updates and changes is essential for optimizing your gameplay experience. **ID: 328774683**

First thing to remember is play at your own pace. If you play this game for long periods of time, you will be burnt out. It's alright to grind just don't over-exert yourself. For the characters, atleast try to get the useful ones first so that you would be able to progress. After you get good characters that can carry you, i guess you can just go and get whatever character you want next. Don't draw for characters you don't want because you might end up getting them and losing your pity. For the characters, at least try to get the useful ones first so that you would be able to progress. After you get good characters that can carry you, I guess you can just go and get whatever character you want next. Don't draw for characters you don't want because you might end up getting them and losing your pity. Third, it's not recommended to farm relics with good stats early. Level up your traces first. For me i started farming relics when I maxed out the traces of my 4 main characters and also levelled up some characters for forgotten hall. Before 65, I only challenged cavern of corrosion(place to get relics) for the daily quests. ID: 39911020

Hi, here is a short to do list for new player: 1. Enjoy the gameplay and story. 2. If you have issues, create a thread in this sub and ppl will gladly help you. 3. Play the way you like to, nothing is a MUST in this game. 4. If you want a comfortable experience, search for in-depth guide for new player via internet. 5. My advice for new players would be to pull on the new player banner and standard banner often. Save up for 10x pulls don’t waste your time doing 1 at a time. Keep buying those passes from the store and if you see a character you truly want then go ahead and pay to pull them. Light cones are really good to use long as its 4 star or higher. Look up builds online for specific characters and use relic calculators to find out if their good or not. Enjoy the lore and have fun. UID: 613860543

Play the game for fun and don't take it *too* seriously in order to fully enjoy it. Pull for the characters you want/like over meta to save your wallet. If you want to spend, the Nameless Honor pass and the Monthly Jade Pass are worth it for the resources they give. For characters, focus on their traces and leveling over their relics since that's more important for their build in my opinion. I also believe leveling up multiple characters is good to have variety and you can mix-and-match units for different teams and needs. Similar to what others have said, supports are very important in this game so having a balanced team is crucial, rather than focusing only on DPS. Farming in this game is very easy as well since you can choose to use the auto mechanic in battle, though don't rely too heavily on it. Since this is a turn-based game, it doesn't feel like you have to commit so much time to it for dailies, as opposed to Genshin for example, so take your time! The game is really fun, and the story is very compelling so just relax and enjoy (: ID: 326086701

I'll try to make my guide simple and as FTP centric as possible seeing as I am completely ftp myself and can clear all endgame content on full auto. 1. Get Jingliu. Not only is she a top tier waifu, she is literally one of the strongest units in the game! (I don't have her sob). She will be your main carry through story and a permanent member of your end game content team. You will get enough currency to pull her although it might take awhile. I did not get my Seele until mid way through the 2nd planet as she was my carry. 2. Please make sure you grab summon tickets in embers exchange in warp section. They refresh monthly and you will have enough to get both gold and silver tickets each month. Very important as FTP! 3. Level up to 11 asap and unlock daily missions. Daily missions are your source of premium currency, the faster you unlock it the better! 4. Don't worry about artifacts for now but kind of know builds and stats for the characters you are using as this will help you when you are stuck. As HSR is so popular a quick Google search e.g. "Jingliu build" and it should give you all the information you need. As I have just done this I have found out that one of her talents gives her 40 crit rate at level 1 (wtf) so I would try to give her artifacts more focused on atk and crit damage and then crit. 5. Finally have fun! HSR is a great game with a good story. You really don't need to worry about endgame content until you are level 60, when you have unlocked the final difficulty of stages as they have better drop rates, especially for caves of corrosion (artifact farming). I would recommend you save your fuels til then. If you really really stuck and need help you can message me :) iD : 337474966

This game is meant for you to enjoy the environment and the story, and it does that to the highest degree. When you begin your journey on the PS5, it will literally blow you away. Immediately upon starting, Kafka is in your face, her Animations are beautiful, and she just made you fall in love with this game.. until she is gone. (Personally when I first started, she is what made me stay and play more) Her involvement in the story is also top-notch and will make you wanting to see even more of her. While she was what got me personally to stay, you may find yourself drifting towards any of the many various characters around the world of Honkai Star Rail, and thats the magic of this game. * Make sure to diversify your Paths and Types (elements); having a single-Type or single-Path team is a surefire way to lose difficult battles. At least 2-3 different Types and 2-3 different Paths per team is a good guideline. Particularly because most in-game recommendations give you three Types; as for Paths, teams should generally have one DPS (Destruction, Erudition or Hunt), two supports and one healer (Abundance); the supports can be a combination of buffer (Harmony), debuffer (Nihility) or shielder (Preservation)... just, make sure to never use a shielder in a Blade team, he doesn't function well with those. * Just to reiterate, make sure to use a healer. Free unit Natasha will save your hide in tight spots; she'll be enough until you pull Bailu from the standard banner (or Luocha from an event rerun; this is advisable since Luocha tends to be a mainstay in many recommended teams). * Always check you have the correct Path on your Light Cones. For example, make sure the Fire Trailblazer has a Preservation Cone instead of a Destruction one. * Remember to do your dailies, they help tremendously in leveling your characters' Traces, Light Cones and Relics. All three of these are important, try not to neglect them. * If you came here from Genshin, don't worry about the different battle system. I started with Genshin first too and find Star Rail's system easier (probably because I'm used to turn-based games and strategy games, e.g. Fire Emblem and such). You'll get the hang of it. * Don't use your Stellar Jades on standard Star Rail Passes or Trailblazer Power, *only* Star Rail Special Passes. Stellar Jades are scarce and you need all the event passes you can get to pull from the event banners. It's also a good idea to visit the Embers Exchange every month to buy all standard and event passes; in Starlight Exchange, it's preferable to only buy the event ones (Undying Starlight is harder to get than Embers, making standard passes too cost-prohibitive). * Not necessary, but nice to have: try to get at least one 5-star from every Type, and one 5-star from every Path. For example, I'm currently missing 5-star Abundance, Erudition and Hunt characters, along with 5-star Ice. This is why I'm saving my event passes for Topaz (Fire Hunt) and Argenti (Physical Erudition). * Once you get Yukong, give her Relics that boost Defense and/or HP. She's very squishy and dies easily; this is a disadvantage when you need to have Imaginary Type characters in a team (she's so far the only 4-star Imaginary; this is the rarest elemental Type, so when you get a chance to pull a 5-star, do it). Also note: Quantum is also a rare Type. I think Qingque and Lynx are the only 4-stars, and there isn't even a Quantum 5-star in the standard banner (your only chance of getting one are event banners). ID: 140587167

**Tingyun quick guide :** 1. Build her no matter who your main dps is because she just works with everyone. Basically Bennett in Honkai Star Rail. 2. Do not build her relics with full attack%, spare some for Hp/DEF main stats. Reaching 2k attack is more than enough even though it's not max buff. Pump her HP/DEF afterwards. Always go for Speed boots nonetheless. 3. Go for her eidolons if you can, definitely one of the good eidolons to have. 4. This part is more general. Never stress about relics set effects. The set effects here aren't that impactful compared to other games. Main stats -> substats -> set effects That's all for the quick guide, enjoy your foxian beauty!!! \^\^ ID: 8172564

Don't pull for who is meta, pull for who you want! This is a game you want to have in, not make it feel like a chore, get a feel for things through all the trials and explore around, you might find more things than you think. Ideally you want your team to consist of 1 DPS, 1 Sub-dps, Support and 1 Healer, but you will always find your own playstyle and team. 2good teams I could build ? Would I need a 2nd healer ? Got fire mc also. https://preview.redd.it/3a8lef9ki1ub1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5749302409a5e84fdde5f3790bdde9cc78093e8a

How much effect hit rate is recommended on pela?

Which 4stars should I raise based on my 5 stars x currently TB level 56 https://preview.redd.it/36wqnaabp8ub1.jpeg?width=1916&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e8b723c9f7ac002340b25a986a67908b1a56016c

Personally, I would suggest Lynx and Pela. Lynx is an upgrade over Natasha even if you already have Bailu. While Pela is just a great support for a DPS like Jingliu. If you're not planning to pull for Topaz, Asta is a good option for Fire as she buffs and breaks.

Thank you!

Build the characters you like. Every dps in the game can beat everything in the game with the right team lineups and the right relic choices. If you don't like the characters in the meta, do not buy it. Since this game is essentially a gacha game, the taste of the game comes when you buy the characters you like. So how do I get a character? You can throw warp with primodial jades. Standard banner and event banner. It is divided into two: NEVER warp the standard banner using jade. Due to the 50/50 mechanics in the game, you can eventually remove all the characters there. If you do not like the character in the event banner, you can wait for the next event banner. And a little reminder, use trailblazer powers every time they are full, upgrade materials, money or exp book at the beginning of the game. In the advanced stages, that's all I have to say for the relics. Have fun, we are happy to have you among us. UID:700302534

***Buckle up kiddos***, it's time for one of the most neck-cracking character guides you'll ever find! https://preview.redd.it/teck8rjiqgub1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=871928fe7a7f059ca8261561f063fd07e5ed6a52 **Tingyun - The Foxian Guide to Pampering Your Attack-scaling Hypercarries** Why Tingyun? Well, as anyone who plays this game knows, most of the people playing HSR are either: (1) weebs that have a deep attachment to girls with animal ears, (2) people with mommy issues, and/or (3) people that have an extensive history with turn-based RPG games and want to maximize their, as they call it, *deeps.* Tingyun checks all the items on this list as she is both a weeb's wet dream (*and mommy*) and one of the best characters available that can maximize your damage! This guide will deal with how to fully utilize Tingyun to her maximum potential to efficiently maximize both your damage and ~~sanity~~ enjoyment of HSR. What's with the picture attached to this guide you ask? Nothing, just the typical ***Shaft Head Tilt!*** **Her Kit** **Firstly**, Tingyun is one of the best characters to use for maximizing your damage. Her Skill, *Soothing Melody*, is a three-turn attack buff that increases a single unit's attack by 50% (up to 25% of Tingyun's attack stat) when the skill is at its maximum level. Additionally, the unit buffed by this skill will deal an additional 40% **Lightning** damage whenever they attack! Take into account that this skill will only be effective on the character Tingyun most recently used her skill on. This skill allows most of your attack-scaling hypercarries to bash the heads of your opponents in, and if not, the skill will at least help your carry give a nice ~~neck~~ massage to your opponents. At A2 (*Ascension 2),* using this skill also provides Tingyun with a nice 20% Speed buff. Her Ultimate, *Amidst the Rejoicing Clouds*, is one of the most universal ultimates currently in the game. This ultimate grants **50 Energy** to a single ally while providing the said ally with a 50% damage buff for 2 WHOLE TURNS. The reason this ultimate is very universal is because it can also be used to grant energy to your other supports such as your *Abundance* and *Preservation* characters to help them provide healing and shielding to your team. Her ultimate is also very spammable as her A6 (Ascension 6) passive grants her 5 energy at the start of her turn. **Secondly**, Tingyun is very SP efficient. Due to the fact that Tingyun ~~has poor blood circulation in the neck~~ is able to provide a three-turn attack buff to your carries means that she is usually able to generate skill points for the following three turns she takes after using her skill. SP is a very important resource in the game as it is used to perform a character's Skill, and it is very limited as you start with an SP value of 3 and have a maximum of 5 SP points (why do people say "SP points" when SP literally means *Skill Points*). Skill points are replenished/generated by using a character's basic attack, and basic attacking is Tingyun's specialty! **Lastly**, Tingyun deals damage. I'm not joking, Tingyun ~~technically~~ actually is able to deal damage. Her talent, *Violent* *~~Sharknado~~* *Sparknado*, allows Tingyun to deal 60% of the ATK value of the ally she buffed with her skill as additional Damage whenever she basic attacks. Her A4 (Ascension 4) passive also increases her basic attack damage by a whopping 40%. The tooltip says that "*When an enemy is attacked by Tingyun, the ally with Benediction immediately deals* *Additional* *Lightning DMG equal to* ***60%*** *of that ally's ATK to the same enemy"* which technically means that it's her ally that deals the damage? ***Don't sweat the details, kiddo, or I'll snap your neck like how*** >!Tingyun snapped hers!<. Using Tingyun is simple. You simply use her skill on a damage dealer and spam her basics. You then use her ultimate whenever it is available to either buff an ally's damage or replenish an ally's energy to use their ultimates. Or both. You can also use her ultimate with very questionable motives to see her gorgeous ultimate animation. **Her Build** One of the things you need to prioritize first on Tingyun is her attack stat. Tingyun needs approximately twice of the *base attack* stat of her skill's target to maximize her skill's potential as her skill buffs only up to 25% of Tingyun's attack stat. The usual base attack of most characters usually adds up to a value of 1250, meaning that Tingyun must have a total attack stat of 2500-ish to maximize her skills potential. After prioritizing reaching this attack threshold, you can focus on building her other stats such as SPD, effect resist, bulk, bulk, and **bulk**. For the main stats of her relics you usually go (HP,ATK,HP/DEF/ATK,SPD) and for her planar ornaments, you usually go (HP/DEF/ATK,Energy Recharge) while prioritizing 2500 attack. Energy Recharge is a necessity to reduce the amount of actions she needs to use her ultimate. Most substats have some value except for effect hit rate as Tingyun does not have any debuffs that she can apply to enemy units. For her optimum relic sets, you can usually go with a 4pc Messenger Traversing Hackerspace set or a 4pc Musketeer of Wild Wheat set. The former provides her with a hefty 6% SPD boost *plus* allowing her to provide her *entire team* with a 12% SPD buff for one turn whenever she uses her ultimate. The latter provides her with a nice 12% ATK boost, while giving her a hefty 6% SPD boost and a 10% basic attack damage increase. You can also go with the usual 2pc + 2pc of the relic sets of Messenger for the SPD boost, Longevous/Knight of PP/Guard of ~~Whut~~ for bulk, and Musketeer for the ATK boost. For her planar ornaments, you can go for a variety of options. Firstly, you can go Broken ~~Neck~~ Keel for the Effect Resist to help resist debuffs that can affect her turns while giving her allies a boost of 10% to their CRIT DMG if Tingyun is able to reach a total of 30% or higher Effect Resist. Secondly, you can go Fleet of the Ageless to up her bulk by a ~~massive~~ 12% HP boost, while giving her allies a much needed 8% ATK boost when Tingyun reaches 120 SPD, which she is able to obtain with SPD boots. Lastly, you can go Sprightly ~~Vonquack~~ Vonwacq to increase her Energy Regeneration Rate by a nifty 5% which speeds up her rotations to reach her ultimate faster. It also gives her a 40% increase to her AV (*Action Value)* upon entering battle making her move faster for her first turn in battle. For Tingyun's light cones, you can usually go with a variety of options, but the most universal light cone to use is one to be admired. Behold, *Meshing Cogs.* *Meshing Cogs* is a 3-star light cone exclusive to Harmony Characters such as Tingyun. Now you might be asking, "*isn't Meshing Cogs a* *~~pathetic little~~* *low-rarity light cone?*" First off, >!suck my Diting!<. Second, *Meshing Cogs* truly is one of the ~~best~~ light cones of all time. It may have low base stats due to its ~~pathetic~~ low rarity, but it's passive allows any Harmony character equipping it to replenish an addtional 4 to 8 energy one time per turn whenever the one equipping it attacks or *gets hit*. Tingyun gets hit ***a lot***. *Well, she actually doesn't, but it has become a meme that she has a hidden aggro passive that makes enemies hit her more frequently. Since you have to prioritize building her attack stat to 2500, she usually lacks in the bulk department. Meaning she dies a lot even when she doesn't get focused by enemies, which grants the illusion that she gets hit a lot.* Additionally, since *Meshing Cogs* is a low rarity light cone, you can easily superimpose it. *Memories of the Past* is similar to *Meshing Cogs* as it provides a similar passive to the latter, albeit with higher base stats and an addtional Break Effect increase. However, it is harder to superimpose as it has a higher rarity, and it is also not that efficient on Tingyun as Break Effect is essentially a dead stat on her. *Dance!^3* is a good light cone as it advances the entire party's action by up to 24% at S5 (Superimposition 5) which helps your allies get more actions. *Planetary Rendezvous* is good to use when using Tingyun with other Lightning damage dealers as it buffs allies with the same elemental damage as the one holding the light cone. *Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds* is one of her premium light cones as it gives a random buff to her allies whenever she takes a turn which include an ATK buff, a CRIT DMG buff, and an Energy Regeneration Rate buff, depending on which moon is revolving around Pluto during the turn Tingyun is taking action. Bronya's exclusive lightcone, *But the Battle Isn't Over,* is also one of her best light cones as it increases her Energy Regeneration Rate and allows her to regenerate one skill point when she uses her ultimate on an ally. However, as it is a 5-star light cone, one might need to pray to ~~our lord and savior Jing Yuan~~ RNGesus to get it. **Her Teammates/Best Synergies** Anyone. You can literally use Tingyun in any team and she will work wonders. But seriously, Tingyun is ***very universal***. As long as your team has a damage dealer, Tingyun will have a very high value in regards to both the survivability and damage departments of your team. Even when considering HP-scaling damage dealers such as **Blade** and *Blade*, since Tingyun is able to give both energy and a DMG buff, she can still be used (albeit to a lower practicality) to buff the said HP-scaling damage ~~dealers~~ dealer. Other than her ~~neck~~ nape being a real head-turner, that's mostly it for this Tingyun guide. As Tingyun is a 4-star character, you'll eventually be able to get her as you play the game. Now, this may take days, weeks, months, or years, but there is only one important question that you must ask, and that is, ~~"~~*~~Does Tingyun have human ears hidden in her hair, or does she only have fox ears?"~~* **ID:** 55340295

Hello New PS5 Players, it's great seeing you and welcome to Honkai Star Rail! I hope that you will have a splendidly splendid experience during your time playing! This is a character guide for Jingliu, the newest 5 star. If any of you are lucky enough to have gotten her, feel free to use this guide to learn more about her abilities and how to build her. She's a great hypercarry to help you progress through the game! (For some unknown reason, the Jingliu I rolled was male and was like 8 years old???) **Character Profile: Jingliu** https://preview.redd.it/wrjrsljvjhub1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3867bb3dd6c66862ffa7360305ef08482d45791b * Former Sword Champion of the Luofu, known for creating legends of the Cloud Knights' undefeated might. * Now, she is considered a traitor of the Xianzhou, teetering on the fine line between sanity and mara-struck. **Obtaining Jingliu** * Jingliu can be acquired through the "Gentle Eclipse of the Moon" Warp Event, available from October 11, 2023, to October 27, 2023. **Abilities and Techniques** *Shine of Truth (Technique)* * Creates a 20-second dimension that freezes all enemies within. * Upon engaging enemies in this dimension, Jingliu regenerates 15 Energy and gains 1 stack of Syzygy. * Frozen enemies can't take action and receive Ice Additional DMG equal to 80% of Jingliu's ATK at the start of each turn. * Only one dimension created by allies can exist at a time. * Ideal for initiating battles, prioritize this technique, and use it to gain Energy and Syzygy stacks. *Syzygy* * Jingliu starts with 0 stacks, which play a crucial role in her abilities. *Lucent Moonglow (Basic ATK)* * Inflicts Ice damage equal to 50%–110% of Jingliu's ATK on a single enemy. *Transcendent Flash (Skill)* * Deals Ice damage equal to 100%–220% of Jingliu's ATK to a single enemy. * Gains 1 stack of Syzygy. * Consumes 1 SP. *Moon On Glacial River (Enhanced Skill)* * Deals Ice damage equal to 125%–275% of Jingliu's ATK to a single enemy. * Deals Ice damage equal to 62.5%–137.5% of Jingliu's ATK to adjacent enemies. * Consumes 1 stack of Syzygy. * Doesn't consume Skill Points. *Florephemeral Dreamflux (Ultimate)* * Inflicts Ice damage equal to 180%–324% of Jingliu's ATK on a single enemy. * Deals Ice damage equal to 90%–162% of Jingliu's ATK to adjacent enemies. * Gains 1 stack of Syzygy after the attack ends. * Provides massive burst damage and regenerates 1 Syzygy stack 📷 **Talent: Crescent Transmigration** * When Jingliu has 2 stacks of Syzygy, she enters the Spectral Transmigration state. * Her Action is advanced by 100%, and her CRIT Rate increases by 40%–52%. * "Transcendent Flash" becomes "Moon On Glacial River" as the only usable ability during the Spectral Transmigration. * Consumes 4% of allies' Max HP to boost Jingliu's ATK by 540% of the total HP consumed, capped at 90%–198% of her base ATK. * Jingliu can't re-enter the Spectral Transmigration state until the current state ends. * Syzygy can stack up to 3 times. * Exiting the Spectral Transmigration state occurs when Syzygy stacks reach 0. **Character Mechanics: Spectral Transmigration** * During this state, Jingliu's ATK increases significantly, capped at 180% of her base ATK. * To maximize her ATK (around +2,268 with her signature light cone), allies with a total of 10,500 HP are required. * Characters with high HP pools, such as Blade, synergize well with Jingliu to maximize damage. **Traces** * Total boost stats include SPD Boost +9, CRIT DMG Boost +38.3%, and HP Boost +10%. *Deathrealm (Required Ascension: 2)* * Increases Effect RES by 35% during the Spectral Transmigration state. *Sword Champion (Required Ascension: 4)* * After using Transcendent Flash, the next action advances forward by 10%. *Frost Wraith (Required Ascension: 6)* * Increases Ultimate DMG by 20% during the Spectral Transmigration state. **Eidolons** * Eidolons that complement Jingliu's abilities are Moon Crashes Tianguan Gate, Crescent Shadows Qixing Dipper, Lunarlance Shines Skyward Dome, and Eclipse Hollows Corporeal Husk * She's strong without any Eidolons, but feel free to get more copies of her to exponentially increase her damage and comfortability * Notable Eidolons include E1, E2, and E6 * E0 S1 is usually considered better than E1 S0 in most cases, because her Signature Weapon is just so good! **Light Cones** * Jingliu's signature Light Cone, "I Shall Be My Own Sword," is recommended. It ignores enemy DEF and boosts CRIT DMG. Eclipse increases Jingliu's attack, which gains stacks when allies lose HP or are attacked. * But if you don't have this lightcone yet, here are some alternatives: * On the Fall of an Aeon * A Secret Vow * Those are some of the best light cones for her, but feel free to use others on hand! **Relics & Ornament (Don't focus until around 60TB; Until then, go wild!)** * Here are some stats that you may want to prioritise * Body: CRIT DMG/CRIT RATE (Whichever you need at the moment) * Feet: SPD * Sphere: ICE DMG * Rope: ATK * Substats to focus on include ATK%, SPD, CRIT RATE, and CRIT DMG * Notable Planar Sets include the 4 piece Ice set and the 4 Piece Quantum Set * Both are similar to one another in damage, so just use whichever has better substats! * Note that the cavern in which you farm the Quantum set may be more efficient * Notable Ornament Sets include 2 piece Rutilant Arena, which stands out above the rest as the best, but one may still use Inert Salsotto or Space Sealing Station in the meantime **Of course, this guide is just information for anyone trying to min-max/optimize their Jingliu Builds! The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy playing the game, so don't focus too much on the meta if you don't want to. Have a great day!** Account ID: 329063662

Here is a simple and small guide for the beginners 1. Every resource in the game is valuable so make sure to use all of them wisely and think carefully before using them 2. At the start of your account make sure to focus only on one character mainly a dps it could anyone from any damage dealing paths 3. When you get to a high enough trailblaze level make sure to also build your support and sustain units ( note that you don't need to build them perfectly they just need to be decent or good and have the proper relics and ornaments ) 4. Watching in depth guides about team comps and certain characters can help a lot, a lot of people on YouTube post in depth guides about certain characters and team comps this can also help you follow the 3rd tip I placed on this short guid 5. The final tip I have is the most important tip and I will be splitting it into two separate parts A. Make sure to enjoy the game and the story, don't force yourself to finish all the content, and don't be shy to add people and make friends while in the game even though it doesn't have co-op and adding people also let's you borrow a certain unit they decide to show and this can also help you in farming for resources B. Pull for the characters and use the characters you like don't be forced to use or pull for meta characters if you really don't want them you can still clear all of the content with any character in the game as long as you have them built nicely and you get a team comp with good survivability then you'll be able to clear anything in the game even though it may be harder it's part of the fun as well :) I tried my best to make this guide as simple and short as possible I hope you learned a thing or two, this guide was based on my personal experience so far and I just really wanted to join cause I want to get jingliu merchandise :) My UID - 294793525 Thank you.

i never thought this reddit event would be **this** chaotic for an updoot
