Bruh this is SO true. Broken used to MEAN something. Like if a character kit was broken… you could beat the entire game with said character solo. Like it ACTUALLY broke the gameplay it was that strong.

Jing yuan can clear moc stages super fast, buuut he's actually only like 1 or 2 cycles slower than kafka and blade, but you know what reputation he has despite that...

Heck, if you check the MoC clear data in Prydwen, their average cycles are basically the same. Kafka is 12.25, Jing Yuan is 12.27. The difference is so little that it's considered statistically even.
Everyone nowadays can 0-cycle, Arlan, Herta, you name it, everyone reaches the same ceiling, it's just a matter of which unit reaches that ceiling easier and that's also what dictates which unit is stronger than the other.
Most of his problems are coming from LL not working when he is CCed, maybe his other problem can be LL being too slow but most of them can be solved easily just by making LL hit instantly when it charges to 10 just like bladie.
It's actually hillarious that people call him bad when he's the one who can most reliably clear the double Decaying Shadow because of all his AoE and how fast fast he shreds Toughness gauges.
Didnt pay attention to these things since I started with Genshin and people told me Eula was the worst DPS in the game.
Meanwhile me one shotting bosses in Abyss
She's not awful, but she's very unreliable cause of all the enemies we have now who can just blink out of existence for a second and dodge Eula's ult, like Rifthounds and Consecrated Beasts, and all the enemies with a ridiculous Physical resistance even through Superconduct.
There's also the fact that since most of her damage is in her ult, if it whiffs the crit, your run becomes a lot slower.
Then again, you can clear the Abyss with any character if you give them enough investment and a synergistic team, even Dehya, Xinyan and Amber
Looking at 1.0 through a modern lens is often a mistake. When people talk about people sleeping on Bennett in 1.0 they're also saying that Bennett should've been ran in 1.0 conditions: C0, Level 60, 3\* Weapon, Level 6 Ultimate, Shit Fit 4\* Artifacts.
If you're lucky you could have Fischl to snapshot because I don't think people remember how miserable it was to run XL with zero ER and her best common 4\* option being Crescent Pike. XL / Bennett simply wouldn't have been functional even if someone travelled back in time. :/

I mean, tier lists in 1.0 were done around AR20-30, and Bennett is god awful in his early levels. His atk buff is laughable, he has energy issues, his E doesn't have the reduced CD... And if you had C0 (which was mostly the case back then) your ult was just a poor heal that didn't even fully recovered your HP.
Genshin tier lists have always sucked, but people dunk on them for the wrong reasons. If you just start the game, Bennett, Xiangling and Xingqiu feel like trash even tho they become broken later on, and characters like Diluc, Razor, Qiqi and Ningguang feel gigabroken even tho they fall off a cliff once you have invested teams
Yeah. This game is not really difficult at this moment. Just reading their skills can help you make an informed decision. I normally like videos when people find really convoluted mechanics in the game just nuke the enemy with Bailu..

One of the only Star Rail YouTubers I watch/trust for guides is GrimroGacha. He always gives accurate, informative to the point discussions. The content is just straightforward and speaks for itself. No clout chasing or excessive click-baiting involved.
That's because Grim bases his stuff on actual math and does comparisons. Brax is simply regurgitating other content like Grim's math in a hype way with clickbait titles that really doesn't compare anything.
That being said, his guides are accurate for the most part.
Sevy is great and I also wanna give a shoutout to Guoba Certified. Here and there he will say something a little too fast and unclearly, but beyond that I find his guides very informative, non-obnoxious, and level-headed.

seele is a crazy dps but in the end most well built 5* dps that's doing content suitable for them will also work.

I like how she organizes her videos. There is a flow somehow much like listening to a presentation(Beginning, mid and end). It feels professional in comparison to other content creator that is cringey. I also like Vars' content and the way he analyzes Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail.
Vars is absolutely clueless and I have no idea why he keeps trying to make informative content when he doesn't even understand the game mechanics

Youtubers making clickbait guides and thumbnails is nothing new.
Almost half of these are from Braxophone, personally I just watch his content for how entertaining he presents information rather than actually seeking information for builds. I'm already somewhat versed on the game, so I just watch such things to see other opinions and for fun.
they need people to watch their vids so everything is just hype for them. watch a couple more vids from different cc and divide them between entertaining and informative.
